They had a good outdoor patio with a view of the water body. I got the iced matcha pineapple latte. My colleagues got the regular cappuccino. Our drinks came out fairly quickly. The cappuccino had beautiful coffee art with a swan. My matcha tasted good. And more than anything it was colorful. The views from the patio were beautiful and we had a great time! This would have been an average San Diego coffee shop experience for me, except for the fact that I absolutely LOVED the cherry bomb! It's a cherry mocha and essentially a perfect drink for me. Back in 2019, Starbucks had a seasonal cherry mocha for Valentine's Day that I was obsessed with. Apparently I was the only one, because they haven't brought it back since. Cherry mochas are hard to come by, and I haven't really encountered another one. This one was delicious! The espresso was bold, the milk perfectly creamy, and the overall taste not too sweet (unlike Starbucks'). Wow!! I can already tell this will be a drink I daydream about. Unfortunately it was $7.50, which will prevent me from indulging very regularly. The rest of the menu is pricey too, with avocado toasts nearly reaching $20. (I may be a millennial, but I can certainly understand the negative stereotype when I see coffee shop prices like these.) Besides pricing, the other downside of this place is the limited seating. There were only 4 small outdoor tables, so unless you're with just one other person and you arrive before 10am, I'd suggest grabbing your coffee to go and taking a walk. My friend and I sat down, since there were open tables when we arrived. She enjoyed her iced honey cinnamon latte. If you love a cherry mocha or are looking for coffee in the design district, definitely come through!

Only draw is the bunnies, who I really hope Samantha treats with more care and kindness than she does her customers; I honestly am concerned for their wellbeing after experiencing how Samantha treats people.

You can absolutely taste the difference. The pastry I had was incredibly moist, flavorful, and fresh and not dry at all like you often find at coffee shops (like the Coop) The gentleman working the register was also fantastic. I wasn't familiar with all of the baked goods, and he took the time to walk me through the options and explain what everything was without making me feel rushed. That kind of customer service goes a long way. Between the fresh pastries, great atmosphere, and genuinely friendly staff, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back.

Our friends all got the Persian flavors because they are Persian :) The ice cream is good enough, but because we had to eat it outside in the heat, it melted quickly and wasn't the most enjoyable experience overall. If you're hankering for Persian-specific flavors, then you will love this place, but we'd rather go back to the one in LA at some point for nostalgia's sake. I had a disappointing experience at Better Buzz Coffee that just opened in Del Mar. I ordered an 'extra hot' latte but was served one that was barely warm. When I kindly pointed this out to the staff, they responded unprofessionally by giggling. To make matters worse, when my drink was called out again, they loudly and rudely said 'you're welcome' before I even had a chance to speak. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and unprofessional. It would be beneficial for management to properly train their staff or consider hiring employees who can provide respectful and courteous service. Customers deserve better than dealing with teenage tantrums at a place meant to be welcoming. read more

I love Starbucks but this place is not bad either. Better Buzz app has a good app and their app is better than Starbucks app. In terms of coffee I miss the coffee of Starbucks in Del Mar but this place has friendly servers and good vibes overall so I will support it. I like getting a coffee and take it with me for my walk at Del Mar beach. Coffee tastes good but they don't serve it hot enough sometimes. Order extra hot if you want it hot. read more

You can get your coffee with agave or natural sugar if you need sweetness. Plus they sell yummy empanadas which is perfect for breakfast! If coffee is not your thing there are tea drinks and hot chocolate too. On rainy days hot chocolate is free (it rained today). Services is super friendly and accommodating! As this is more of a to ho shop, there are no tables. Outside of the shop there is a bar that you can stand up and drink at. Parking lot available too which is a bonus as so close to the beach! I will definitely be back for my caffeine and empanada fix!
