This is a beautiful location with limited seating. Don't be discouraged by the long line because it moves fast. The cashier was super helpful and gave me good recommendations since it was my first time ordering from this place. I found out about Better Buzz from my sister. She said it's one of her favorite coffee spots. I tried the Cinnamon Cream Cold Brew. You can definitely taste the cinnamon and it definitely gave me a caffeine buzz! The layout and design of this location is cute and very aesthetic I'll give it that. But I was notttt satisfied at all. Ordered the iced vanilla bean latte 1/2 sweet because the worker said the drink was pretty sweet- and usually I prefer less sweet lattes. It tasted awful with no vanilla bean flavor at all! It wasn't even the slightest bit sweet either. I paid $7 for basically a regular unflavored latte when I could've just ordered a regular one in the first place for a cheaper price lol. I usually go to other small coffee spots in SD but decided to come here since Better Buzz is what SD is known for. Not only was the flavor not it, but I've never seen so much remnants of espresso grinds in my drink before. Save your money and go somewhere else! read more

This might be my new favorite location. The open concept of the building is what San Diego is all about. It's a couple of blocks from the ocean. You can't beat it. The coffee always hits. This morning was my first time trying the peppermint white mocha (holiday special) as it was recommended by the barista. I also ordered a ham and cheese croissant sandwich which wasn't bad! I wouldn't order it again. 10 out of 10 recommend. I'll definitely be back! read more

Very conveniently located and cute coffee shop. They have good smoothies and drinks. In particular their Pink Dragon smoothie is very good. I get it without the beef pollen though since the flavor doesnt match the drink. Their breakfast items are really good too. The spicy breakfast sandwich has just the right kick for a morning meal. read more

Ambiance: I loved the ambiance here. I came on a weekday to study and it was the perfect environment for me. They also had outlets to charge your electronic devices. Everything about this place was a win. The ambience of coming here midday, the food that was ACTUALLY FRESH (?!?) and let's not forget the service. I came when Grace, Sam, and Jules were working. Jules helped me at the register, patient and even offering recommendations; Sam and Grace made my drinks UNBELIEVABLY. Best chai latte I've ever had BY FAR!!!! As a Non-San Diego native I had never heard of better buzz, but to my surprise this is such a good coffee chain! The coffee is absolutely delicious! We went as a big group so we tried tons of their coffee options and every single one was great! It does not taste watered down and the mixed coffees were the perfect balance of coffee forward and sweet! Highly recommend the snickerdoodle latte, it was fantastic! We also tried a few breakfast options including the sandwich and pastries, I'm telling you we had no complaints at all! Service wise, we came in on a busy Friday and even then service was great! My only complaint would be one of our coffees randomly took a while, but overall super impressed! The staff was so sweet and friendly! Ambiance wise it's very true to a coffee shop vibe, tons of tables and people chatting! They have outdoor seating as well for those who enjoy coffee and a breeze! It's been a long time since I've been to San Diego and this cafe has always been recommended to me for the type of coffees that I drink. There was quite a line, but it moved really quickly. I just ordered an iced hazelnut latte which happened to be one of their top drinks. I was so excited I didn't get a chance to take a photo LOL! But I managed to snap a cute photo opp while on the way to the bathroom haha. Very cute location near a lot of other restaurants and shopping and the indoor/outdoor cafe style is so appealing. One of my favorite go-to coffee places when I visit La Jolla. Customer service is always friendly and they have a nice selection of coffees and teas. The cookies and croissants are also pretty good. For our recent visit, we got an iced cold brew, iced honey latte, bear claw, and chocolate chip cookie. There's a lot of tables so it's a nice place to relax. read more

This is the first time I saw an offering of vanilla bean instead of syrup so had to try it :) The flavor wasn't really pronounced as syrup does but that also meant that it wasn't too sweet.
