Excited to try something something new in the caffeinated beverages world. Unfortunately I can't say whether the actual coffee is good, great or bad. Here's why: As the store is still brand spanking new, the drive-through line was backed-up into Glendale Ave yesterday (03/23). Went earlier the next day and finally made it into the on-site line. The problem is, they have folks taking orders before you reach the menu board, so I just ordered what I could see on the specials. Made a mistake in ordering a marzipan cold brew, that was actually mazapán cold brew - at least I know what mazapán is now! I also got an almond croissant. Both items coming out to just over $10. Meh. Here's the thing. The almond crossiant had 'zero' filling. The only almond flavor coming from the almond flakes on top. It was clear the pastry had been pulled from a cold cabinet and was unfortunately very bready and devoid of flavor. Considering the price, you may as well walk over to Safeway and buy the same but cheaper and fresher. And then the drink. Interesting flavor. The mazapán is a sweet toasted nut affair, (so I read), and is separated from the cold brew when it first comes out. 10 mins later and it's all mixed in but just tasted like a mix of crème and sugar. The think that irked me the most was that despite being cold brew, there was just zero caffeine kick to it. Better Buzz? No. No buzz. Nothing at all. 3 stars because it's 'okay'. I'll be back for seconds and different food and drink. But at this moment in time, it's just a copycat Dutch Bros to me. read more

From the moment I walked in, the service was truly extraordinary--every staff member was welcoming, attentive, and made the entire visit feel special. The menu is absolutely delicious, with a great variety of drinks and food that are clearly made with care and quality ingredients. Everything I tried was flavorful and perfectly prepared. What really stood out, though, was the manager, Aubrey. Great Vibes & Amazing Toast! Stopped by Better Buzz for a quick bite and was seriously impressed! I ordered the three seed avocado toast and it was so good--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The mix of textures from the seeds added a great crunch that took it to the next level. On top of that, the service was fantastic. A super friendly worker named Deisy helped me out--she was welcoming, kind, and really made the experience even better. It's always nice to see someone who clearly enjoys what they do. This review is from a Postmates delivery. Ordered: Horchata Iced Latte: incredibly sweet. And i didn't even taste the horchata. Mazapan cold brew was great. I much prefer it 1/2 sweet. It was packaged well for delivery making great service. Over all for delivery it was satisfying. I would not hesitate to order from them via Postmates as my order arrived exactly how i placed it. I tried going the day it opened at noon and wow it was packed. I don't know if they were giving away free coffee but the line was outrageous. I decided to opt out and just tried later that night. It was still busy but nothing bad. I got the horchata latte. It was okay, a little too bitter for me. Service was notably fast. They have drive thru which is always a plus. They also have a few food items however I didn't try any. If you sign up for their rewards program you can a free drink after first purchase and on your birthday. With the many coffee shops in Phoenix I don't necessarily know if this one manages to stand out. I think I like more the local gems. read more

As a fan of Better Buzz's California locations, I was thrilled when they opened their new spot in Phoenix, AZ. While still tasty, only giving it 3 stars because I don't think it stacks up to the shops in California. The drinks don't taste as creamy, although they are still good. My go-to order is the Best Drink Ever paired with the Ham and Cheese Croissant. The vanilla coffee drink is on the sweater side which I prefer, while the croissant is perfectly flakey--I highly recommend getting it warmed up for an extra treat. However, a couple more drawbacks for me aside from the inconsistencies across locations: Parking can be quite challenging, although I appreciate the efforts made for traffic control. Inside, seating is limited, making it difficult to find a spot and it's hard to navigate if there are any sort of larger groups/strollers by tables. Adding a patio seating area would be a fantastic addition, especially during the nicer months in Phoenix. Get there early on the weekends for a more laid back experience and this probably won't be an issue. read more

Today was the grand opening of the new location at Tempe Market Station, so my wife and I stopped for lunch. Although this is a coffee shop, they have a nice selection of bowls, sandwiches and muffins. Staff was effective and very friendly. The store was small and crowded, but we found a place to sit and watch folks coming in while we decided. We had the Turkey Pesto sandwich and Snickerdoodle cookie and Zucchini Walnut loaf. Everything was excellent, our favorites were the Turkey Pesto sandwich and the Zuchhini Walnut loaf. Definitely plan to go back again. read more

The food and drinks are good, but not good enough to battle the parking lot. There are only 12-15 spots and I think the employees must use them. Even when the restaurant only has a few customers, the lot is full. And even if there is a spot, the drive-thru line blocks the ability to pull out or in. I am so excited that we now have Better Buzz in AZ! Went here as early as possible in the morning since I have a feeling that it might get busier later in the day. The moment my family and I walked in we were immediately greeted and even though the place was a bit crowded - we were able to order quickly. Even when the place itself was a bit crowded it did gave me that excitement of what this coffee shop have yet to offer. I can see people sitting down and enjoying their meal or drinks. The ambiance itself was warm, lively, and welcoming. Love how aesthetic this place is especially with their brand :) The service was surprisingly quick and I like how organize their service system was. Good teamwork. The workers were helpful, attentive, and friendly :) I wasn't able to take a photo of the foods I got but I got the Açaí Bowl Islander ( first time having it and it was delicious), the better breakfast sandwich, and finally the Ice Snickerdoodle Latte regular size :) I'm definitely gonna come back for more! ^___^ See ya later Better Buzz! read more

If you love a SCOWL with a dash of not so nice attitude with your sugary overpriced drinks then this place is for you. Double points to the poor man's version of Audrey Plaza for going out of her way to be extra rude. She must truly hate her job. I asked her if I could have my 'Best Drink Ever' a tad bit sweeter since I did add extra shot of expresso to it and she rudely replied "You know I have to dissolve it right?" As though I had just inconvenienced her to the point of no return. She then took her little whisk to dissolve the vanilla powder and rolled her eyes in such a mean girls fashion. I kindly thanked her to which she just handed it to me and did not acknowledge my gratitude. Her personality was akin to a turnip. Kindness does go a long way these days and I was always taught to be kind to those who are being nasty towards you. If this is the way BETTER BUZZ trains their employees then she wins the employee award of the year for fitting right into the bitchy uber snobby BARISTA stereotype hands down. Honestly my latte was pretty good but it was just crazy sweet. Asked and got charged for almond milk but they definitely just added whole milk in it, amond milk drinkers know... couldn't even tell them about it since my boyfriend got the drink for me and brought it home. Overall am really sad by this experience since it was really important for me to get the almond milk. read more

I loved this little, hopping coffee shop on a Sunday morning before church! Everyone that was working was welcoming and joyful the moment we walked in. There was lots of options for coffee and breakfast. I love that they have the option for half sweet. I went with half sweet and my drink was still very sweet, so next time I will probably go with quarter sweet. The only downside was there was not much parking available and the drive thru was backed up almost to the road. We ended up parking on a side street and walking in to order. Don't let this stop you from trying Better Buzz, just give yourself some extra time! I will definitely be going back to try more of the menu when I visit Arizona in the future! read more

Went to Better Buzz opening weekend! Thankfully we woke up early and arrived at 7:30am on Saturday. We only had to wait 10-15 minutes. We ordered the Best Drink Ever and the Cinnamon Cream Cold Brew. Both were really great coffees. The cinnamon cream cold brew was on the sweeter side and was way better than any of the cold foams at Starbucks.
