Man, how do I begin. I was trying to install a sub in my car, and was looking for places near my work to get it installed. Every place that I've gotten a quote from was over $200! If you are in college like me, that's a lot of money to spend. So I got a message from Chris, and after explaining my situation to him, we came down to an agreement. My front speakers stopped working after installing an aftermarket stereo. I replaced the speakers, but still no sound. Figured it must be the stereo. Went & met Chris. He offered to look at it immediately, and quoted $40, but i opted for an appt 2 days later. I got to the appt about 10 mins early. One of the guys inside said Chris was at lunch. He walked in a little after the appt time and soon after that, someone else asked if I could give them 5 mins. (Assuming to eat). They got right on it shortly after, and in 3 mins or less Chris confirmed it was the stereo. (Less than 3 mins because everything was already dismantled & exposed from doing my own troubleshooting). He said he had a bluetooth stereo, and he'd be able to give me a discount because it was out of the box. The new stereos without bluetooth were about $10 less, so i went with the bluetooth. Installation was done in about 20 mins, (again, mostly everything was already taken off, loose, unscrewed, etc.) I was charged $175. $115 for the stereo, plus tax, and $50 labor. There was no manual for the stereo, but he was willing to find it online & print it for me. I told him don't worry about it, i'd get it later for myself. When i got home, I wanted to set the time & radio stations, so i googled the manual and ended up coming across the same stereo brand new for $110. What discount did I get??? (And $50 labor for 20 mins, when almost half the labor was already done??) Wasnt too thrilled about that. Oh, the manual also referenced a remote control which I didn't receive, although I did receive the microphone accessory. Overall, happy with installation. Satisfied with service & product. A little dissatisfied with the price. read more
