Best Mexican food I have had in a long time. Reminded me of the Sonoran style that I ate when going to school in Tucson, AZ. Chimichanga was excellent...stuffed with white chicken meat and I got it Suiza style with the smooth, creamy cheese sauce on top. The house salsas are addictive and the chips were hot and fresh. My son and I went yesterday and we both enjoyed our meal. We ordered a shrimp taco, two steak tacos, a chorizo taco, an al pastor taco, guacamole, and chips and salsa. I wanted carnitas, but they were sold out. The steak tacos were delicious. The meat was tender and juicy. My son said the shrimp taco was the best shrimp taco he's ever had. The best thing I had was the guacamole and the spicy red sauce. I did not like the salsa that came with the chips. It was way too watery. Overall, it's a solid taco joint. There are a lot of good places for a burrito in the Plano area (Burrito Fiesta, The Little Marketa, fast Burrito) but Bien Chido is the best hands down. Everytime I go the food is fantastic and quite honestly to be a pessimist, I am waiting for their quality to go down (BUT IT NEVER HAS HAPPENED!!!) The owner is super nice and the workers are great. They pass my husband's two tortilla test of authentic Mexican food. Delicious pastor. Good fish taco... it ain't no Mrs Paul's breaded fish stick! Real fish! And while I know tortilla chips are not exactly authentic, these are the best damn chips I've ever had. My only complaint, they serve their delicious rice and beans in separate little bowls. Legit! It's amazing! Not overly salty or dripping with grease. Fresh to order. Can't wait to come back and try more. We had chicken tacos with black beans and the chicken is grilled perfectly. I like it "Mexican style" with cilantro and onions- they even grilled the onions! Hubs had his American style and said they were great. Kids split a quesadilla and had blacks beans on the side- they devoured every bite! Also salsa is fresh and the hot sauce is actually hot. Service was awesome, too. We were looking for someplace to have dinner, so I started searching on YELP, and ran across Bien Chido, since its about midway between mom and us. First off, its a tiny place, maybe 8 tables/booths tops! Grab a menu on your way in, order and pay at the counter, and have a seat... The waitress will bring chips, and salsa (not spicy, but the best Ive had in a LONG time!), and 3 bottles of sauce. And you can order your drinks.... My wife and mom LOVED the avocado/cilantro sauce, my mom even bought some to take home with her. I ordered the Platillo Bien Chido dinner.... It was a portion of skirt steak, a grilled chicken breast, with ham and chihuhua cheese (kinda like a chicken cordon blue), and a chili realleno (sp?), along with rice, and refried or black beans..... It was ALOT of food! And damn was it good!!! My wife and I were both raised in the west burbs, so we do know good mexican food, and we will be driving the 30 miles to return here. I have always liked ordering from here til today!!! Never had an issue before when ordering. Called to place an order of the 3 taco dinner plate and told her that the 3 tacos are going to be different kinds of meat and she proceeds to tell me that it's complicated for the chief since it's going to be 3 different types of meat. I ordered food online at 6:30 and was told it would be about 60-70 minutes. I gave them until 8:00, just in case, but still nothing. I called and was told they were not doing deliveries today. So I sat around for over an hour waiting for my food when I could have ordered something else. Really?? You don't have the decency to call the customer and let them know that you aren't delivering? And $30 was taken out of my account. You should not be processing any money if you aren't going to fulfill the order. Now I have to wait 3-5 days to get $30 back. That is absolutely ridiculous. The website says deliver is from 11am-9pm. If that is not true, it needs to be updated so people aren't waiting around. Will not be ordering from here again, and would not recommend anyone else order either. read more

I was only in town for 3 days. My sister swore by the pastor and insisted we went here instead of my regular joint. It was so good I ate there twice and wish I took some back home with me! So delicious! It's traditional but has a new artsy kind of twist. I'm almost glad I don't live near because I would eat there everyday. We live in Yorkville right next to Silver Springs State park, so delivery is not always an option for us. When we heard of Mexican food delivery, we were excited! The hype is real. Their food quality is amazing. If you don't know what to get, just go with the steak burrito, black beans, and rice. Sometimes the service is a bit slow so not ideal if you're in a rush. They use top notch ingredients and you can tell the minute you taste the food. Excellent Food! Favorite taco is the Bien Chido taco, but everything we've had here so far has been excellent. Place is a little small but come on a weekday and it's not hard to get a table. Went here on Wednesday night. Let me just say that I have had a lot of authentic mexican food. From Mexico to the pilsen area in chicago and this place stands up to them all. The carne asada was grilled and amazing as was the rice and beans. The salsa they bring you with chips is amazing also. The pastor and carnitas tacos were also great. Food is good, but the service the last several times we tried has been horrible. I tried speaking with management more than once and was told they wouldn't be making my food even though I ordered online TWO HOURS before calling to see where my food was that was already paid for. This happened twice and that was enough for me. Wish they would have at least attempted to rectify this issue. We really enjoyed the food. read more

As far as Americanized Mexican food can go this place is pretty decent. Nothing revolutionary, but a good meal at a great price from a family owned business that cares about its quality. The Frida art is interesting, if predictable. The space is tiny but surprisingly cozy. They're usually busy and you'll probably have to clean a table for yourself (Plano folks aren't known for cleaning up after themselves).
