Since I was already getting a good deal through the Groupon, it felt like they were really trying to make up the difference with add-ons. I had to say "no" several times before it finally stuck that I was only there for the oil change. When I went to the dealer, they quoted really high price and added a bunch of unnecessary services. I was able to get an estimate from Vuong which was much more affordable, and it was great to be able to text back and forth to make sure I'm only getting the services I really needed. It was also super easy to make an appointment. They were able to get me in and out in the same day even with all the difference things being done to my car. It was also really convenient that they have after hours dropoff available. You just park your car in their lot, and they have a safe place to drop off your keys. This was helpful because I had some work meetings I had to take in the morning at the time they opened, so I was able to go in before they opened and drop off my car. Highly recommend Vuong and his team if you're in need of any maintenance or repairs for your car!

One of the attendants got me started on the paperwork almost immediately. By 10:55am, my car was already being inspected, and by 11:05am, everything was done. The total, including the state paperwork, was $58--about $15 less than what I paid for my last smog check at another shop. I was really happy with the quick turnaround and the price. I went to this Jiffy Lube for an oil change before leaving on a long trip. Just 80 miles into my…read moredrive, my oil light came on. I immediately stopped at the nearest Jiffy Lube, where we discovered my car was leaving a trail of oil and had created a puddle in the few minutes I sat waiting in line. When they checked my car, there was no oil reading whatsoever. I was told the oil filter gasket was ripped, causing all the oil to leak out. Thankfully, there was no damage to my engine, and I was eventually able to continue my trip. When I returned to the original Jiffy Lube to explain what happened, the manager on duty was neither apologetic nor sympathetic and offered no helpful resolution. He seemed more focused on eating his breakfast burrito, which made the entire office smell, than addressing a potentially serious mistake. This could have caused major damage to my car or left me stranded during a long trip. I do not recommend this Jiffy Lube. I was able to call corporate and someone did call me back right away and gave me a refund for my oil change and set it up for a mechanic at the San Ramon Jiffy Lube to check out my car.
