Local to me and patched my 33" off-road tire for me in a pinch since I couldn't drive over to work and do it. De-beaded, ground down the area, glued the patch and rolled it on. I couldn't have done it any better or different myself. A few years ago they mounted drag radials on steel GM wheels for a good price. Cool guys! Kind people that have always been honest about the service needed. They explain to you what you need and why. They do not just try to sell you the service that is the most expensive. I recently came in with a screw in my tire that wasn't leaking air so I was hoping the screw didn't go all the way through yet. The worker looked at it and said he could tell it's a long screw. He told me to watch and as soon as he pulled the entire screw out you could hear all the air hissing out. He then plugged the tire and I was on my way. They were so great here! I was dealing with an issue with low tire pressure and so I called Big John's Tires. They told me that I didn't need an appointment and so I drove over immediately. First visit had picked up a screw in my tire and the tire had little tread left so I opted for a used replacement and they had one that matched my 2 fronts exact make and model tire. Score! The other rear was also wearing thin so I ordered a new one online and second visit was like the first - I was in and out of there in literally less than 10 minutes. I had good experience there a few years ago with my older truck. I sent my wife there with slow leak in front right tire, and whomever helped her just put air in tire and reset the TPS sensor. I told her to tell him there was slow leak, tell him your husband said there is a slow leak, probably a screw or nail. He sent my wife back with no repair done..... a couple weeks later I check tire and its at 16 psi, I put air in it and drove to San Jose Tire where they found the screw in tire the minute they rolled it off the car. Maybe its a bias against Asian and/or woman, I don't know but I'm not happy about it. I had to take an hour out of my day to take her car somewhere further away to get a simple and obvious fix done. read more

Stopped by on 5/8 for a simple tire swap and chose this place because of the positive reviews. Pricing and service was good (paid $100). However, I noticed that they only used their impact gun to tighten the lug nuts afterwards which could result to over torquing the lug nut. When I got home, I checked the lug nuts and torque them down to spec, to find each lug nut unevenly tightened with some being too tight. Ultimately, I found 2 seized bolts which may have been tightened before the lug nut properly treaded onto the stud resulting to the studs snapping (pictures provided below). Fortunately it was only my spacer studs and not the actual wheel stud, which would have resulted into a bigger headache. If it wasn't for this happening, it really would have been a 5 star review. It's quite upsetting as I don't have the tools to be able to reuse my OEM lug nut. read more

This time my car had a blow out and the first place I thought to bring it was here. Luckily towing is included with my car insurance and they had me in and out in less than 45 mins for a tire replacement, break off my old wheel locks (a previous tire company I went to lost the key but provided me a new set), and replace it with my new wheel lock set! Excellent service the gentleman were very nice and everything only cost me $80 all together! Still highly recommend this place, it is a bit easy to miss if you don't know where it is but it's right next to the KFC on the corner of McKee and white! read more

I rang a few other 5* rated places and most of these tire repair places speak so rough and rude. Rang Big John's and the lady who I spoke to was very polite so I took my car there within 10 mins and they fixed my punctured tire within 10 mins. This place is a little off the beaten path. Super friendly man, assuming his name was Joe. I pulled up, asked for a price for 4 tires. I had nails in two of them. He had explained how getting 4 tires is better for the rotation of your car and tires bc of the balance. He priced me at 95$ a tire- comparable to walmarts prices, without having to visit that place! So all 4 tires at 95$ cost me 380$ that included my tax and labor. I arrived at 10am and was out at 10:12...AHHHHMAZING! Needless to say, I've found my new tires place. Confirm your tire pressures BEFORE getting out of there! Wanted to make sure you read at least that. This place is great for what you need. I needed to get my tire truck patched after picking up a screw, and this place is quick cheap and to the point. There are bays that you can pull up into if you need the tires taken off your vehicle and worked on or replaced, Etc. If you have your tire dismounted you can park in the parking lot which has a lot of space, and roll your tire up to them, just make sure you know your place in line. Tire patch took maybe 10 minutes, including wait time, and only cost about $10. They take Visa and don't charge any credit fees on top of it which was appreciated. I asked them to confirm the tire pressure, and he kept saying it's good, it's good. But I kept asking just to know the number for myself and he told me 40 PSI (note I have a truck). That's not the recommended air pressure, and in fact is overloaded for a commuter truck. When I loaded the tire back onto my truck bed I realized the cap was missing, and I went back and got it, make sure yours is placed back. Lastly, when I went home I rechecked the pressure on my tire and saw that it was in fact at 50 psi, which is the cold max pressure for my tires. That's an easy fix, but some thing you should know to never 100 % trust the pressure is where it should be. But that's a general thing, not a big criticism on this place. Will be back if I ever need to. read more

Been passing by this place for years. Had a screw in my tire and took it here today. My tires are not original to my truck so they asked me if I had a lug nut key. I did not. They asked me if I wanted to buy one in case of emergencies. I did. I know they over charged me for that key ($20) when I know they go for 6-10 bucks. $15 to patch the tire so $35 total. No biggie, though....nice staff, quick service (15 mins), I like to give to local businesses, & I pay more than $35 on door dash orders. read more

The people who work here are honest mechanics--and that's saying something (considering how difficult it is to find honest mechanics nowadays) I've been here on two occasions, and both times I have never felt uncomfortable. The first to replace a tire and the second to patch one up. Quality work as my tires and threading have been keeping up! They really treat you with respect. 35$ for a used tire and 5$ for patchwork. I must have past Big Joe's Tires a 1,000 times, noticed it each time, but was never in the market for used tires. This was the first place I called, they answered right away, and the gentleman on the phone was super nice. Told him the size I needed, he gave me a price that was all inclusive, and I told him I would be down shortly. Well, it took me a hour to get there because I had other running around to do. When I got there, I showed him the tire size, he remembered me, and I told him I just needed the two front ones. After looking at my rear tires, he suggested that I replace all four so that I would have all the same sized tires. I really wasn't planning on getting four, but he offered me a great price, showed me the tires which he let me inspect, and I told him to 'go for it'. In less than 20 minutes, all four were mounted to my rims, the front ones balanced, and all was to my approval. Everyone there was so nice! They were all very pleasant, had no problems answering my questions, and did a really great job. One gentleman even replaced by 'donut spare' under the car. That has never happened to me when I have gone to other tire place. These guys have my total thanks, and my business down the road. I bought 2 used tires from them and had them put them on. They found out the one on the driver side front wasn't good so we have to choose an other one after the one on the passenger side is already installed. Which is fine. But then I realized that the one on the passenger side is a Run-flat and the driver side is not. They told me that's is OK?! Finally I had them get me an non Run-flat. Then I found out they putted 45PSI of air on the car when it only needs 36PSI?! I'm not sure if they know what they are doing. PLEASE DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH YOUR CAR!!!!!! read more

This used to be my goto place for tires until yesterday. Busted a tire. Got the spare on. Called up this place to see if they had the tires for my car. They had them. Gave me a price and told them I was on my way over, whoever answered said they'd be open. This was around 4:45pm. Got there around 5 and everything's closed up. The transmissions guys were closing up but they close at 5. The sign for the tire part said open 9-6pm. Called multiple times when we got there and no answer.
