I was excited to try this place after seeing it had a great rating on Google. Come to find I should've looked on Yelp first, where they have a 3.0. I got a BBQ chicken personal pizza, and I don't know what sauce they gave me, but I'm almost certain it wasn't barbecue. It tasted like ketchup & had a weird gelatinous texture. Me and my family ordered pizza and wings at big nicks for the first time tonight . The pizza was under cooked and soggy , the wings that got delivered came as 20 drums and dry to the bone . I called and spoke to a woman who says she was the owner I asked her to kindly replace my wings with some that are assorted or atleast some of each and she told me nothing was wrong with my order and that she was not comping my wings . I made sure she was aware that the pizza was not good and the wings were not good either . The lady was extremely rude and seemed to lack the skills needed to run a pizza business . Horrible first experience we will be using a different place next time . I then asked if there was someone else to speak to and she told me there was not and that next time they would make it right I told her there would be no next time . read more

I ordered a foot long Italian Stallion sub. It looked like a half a sub cut into two pieces. The bread looked like a pointed shoe. It was very odd. I have order subs many times before and the subs were huge. I was very disappointed and will not be ordering from big Nic's again. read more

Called for food at 11am was told 1hour it will be there food did not show up until 1pm my lunch time was way over and the food was ice cold and when I called to ask where food was, I was told about other deliveries as I just spent well over $30.00. No discount or nothing for this disaster. I had to eat this lunch for dinner, and delivery person did not have food in a food warmer bag that why food ICED COLD...NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

I changed my rating from 4 stars to two...just tried ordering with a coupon from their website that expires in 12 days which they would not honor and would cost us an additional $5...no thanks...won't bother going somewhere that won't honor their own coupons. I have been ordering from here for years and always recommend this place. They must have changed My last couple times here I have not been greeted, food has been ok and now today I go in for the 2 subs for $10.99 Tuesday special and they tell me it's only for cold subs. The coupon online does not state that nor does there coupon they have in their brochure that they give customers. Even after they see this they tell me it has been that way for years. No it used to be $9.99 for 2 subs hot or cold. I know I live less than 1/2 mike away and have been coming for years. Needless to say I paid for one sub and left because they didn't honor the coupon. I would have not brought anything if my son wasn't hungry. Ask about coupons and what it covers before ordering. Very disappointed!! read more

Food is great but the hours are ok if they stay open until the specified time. They close way to early. Supposed to be open until 10pm on Tuesdays but they closed 1 1/2 hours early. This is the second time this has happened to me and my wife. Very Disappointed. read more

Stopped by for lunch. Ordered two slices and two knots , total was 11 bux and I was puzzled for two slices seemed a little steap. Then when I started eating I realized two slices was a redic ammoint of food, even for myself who is 225lbs. Chicken bacon ranch and pepperpni pizza slices were thick, and amazing. Some of the best pizza I have ever eaten in my life. Garlic knots were also fantastic light and garlicky, without being drenched in butter and grease. Place was clean, as it should be, staff was friendly. Will deff be going here for lunch in the future and I will be ordering all my pizza from them as well. Ordered a square 12cut cheese and medium boneless wings for delivery. Requested thin crust for the pizza and it turned out delicious! Wings are very good, not really spicy at all but the sauce has a good flavor. Delivered very quickly.. About 30 mins and it all arrived steaming hot. read more

i had given this place a glowing endorsement on google shortly after they opened...and still feel that way about their pizza, sandwiches and salads. gotta say however that this week, i took advantage of their 'thursday night' deal on chicken parm. chix, salad and bread all pretty good, and plentiful for the amount charged. the SAUCE on the chix and ziti was really pretty bad however. (tasted burnt and days old, more like pizza sauce than good marinara). so YES for pizza and subs. i can't endorse them however for their dinners. read more

Big Nics is a blessing in disguise. You look at the bldg. from outside and it looks like an old,beat up bldg but when you step inside you get pleasantly surprised. It's clean,and fresh and a pleasant surprise. The prices are well worth it. The quality is second to none and the flavor is something you don't see coming. Close your eyes and you're back in Naples. Needless to say big nics always leaves you trying to figure out when you can get back again. Kudos to all for a job more than well done. read more

Disgusting. Most of it was inedible. Got 2 meatball parm subs. We both ate about 1/4 and threw out the rest. Crispy chicken wrap was gross. The last sub was ok but nothing special. Mostly bread. Wings were ok though. But for 60$ never again. Long wait and they were all on their phones. read more

Food awesome and portions huge. One slice is enough for anyone. Roast beef sub was enough for two lunches (the was a lot of bread though it appeared fresh baked) also got boneless wings. I placed a catering order two days in advance. I ordered a 20 piece chicken Parmesan platter, 40 piece sub platter, full tray of antipasto, and some wings. The food was excellent, and everything was delivered right on time! Nothing was forgotten. Born and raised in Albany. Probably the best pizza in Albany. You can tell they use quality ingredients. Nice to finally get a great product at a great price. The dough and cheese are outstanding. Their 12 cut is my favorite but if you're feeling frisky, go for the 23" round (absolutely absurd). The only strange thing is that it's cheaper to order by the slice as opposed to a whole pizza?? Boneless wings are also second to none! They have a coupon for a 12 cut and 25 boneless for $19.99.....we fed 6 people AND they all said, to a man, it was the best they had ever had. Also just found out that Nic is the son of the owner of Pizzagram in Guilderland. If you've ever eaten there, all I have to say is "game over!!" Both, he and his dad, have amazing places! read more

Just had the worst experience there. After ordering a slice to go, the counter person picked up the slice and without gloves placed pizza in over. I asked him to use gloves after pizza done. Another young female worker came over and quoted to me that "by law don't have to use gloves.". I told her I don't want anyone handling my food that way. The owner proceeded over (I didn't know was owner at that time) and asked what is the matter. I explained situation (yes I was terse but tactful) and he told me he don't want to discuss it with me anymore. He identified himself as the owner after I replied that this is not a good business practice and he told me to "get the f@#k outta here!" I called him an a-hole and told him would never go to that business again. So word to the wise, if you go there, ask them to use gloves if you're like me and don't like people handling food without gloves. read more

Small pizza joint. Same family that owns Pizza Gram in Guilderland. Had two 12 cut pizzas and medium wings. Had them ready in 25 minutes for pickup. Not the cheapest but the quality was pretty good. Thicker crust pizza. Only complaint was the carrots they included with the wings. Seems like they were a few weeks old. Other than that pretty good pizza. Definitely a take out place, not setup for eat in. read more

This place is horrible. Extremely rude people. I work in colonie and the people in my office order from here and it is always a problem. Their customer service is terrible. I have had incorrect orders delivered numerous times. The delivery driver texted my phone complaining about the tip. They are very unprofessional to say the least. read more

The person answering the phone was clueless, and the pizza was underdone, mushy, way too thick and the toppings were not properly cut. The cheese just slid right off the "crust". AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!! If there was a zero...I would give it. First, I've been ordering from Big Nics for months, weekly. Absolutely loved the driver, and the food was usually good. Not too much to complain about. Today, I ordered, and they delivered super fast....cool, right? NOT! They delivered a partially done pizza, a half salad portion, which is laughable, a cheesteak sandwhich which claims cheddar cheese, and gives you processed cheese, which passes for cheddar? Just say what it is....so that we are not surprised, maybe? I called to complain, nicely...spoke to the manager, and he promised to replace the pizza and cheesesteak which I felt was fair. 1 and a half hours later I called, and the owners "daddy" got on the phone. Lol!!! He told me that I had no right to demand replacement food. That they have been doing this, the right way, for years now, and that they were going to call the police on me for harassment??????????? I have kids...mouths to feed, and offered to send pictures of the undercooked food, which they didn't want to see, so I guess, I'll put them on here. What a classless, absolute jerk of a business...not to mention....the owners "daddy" had to get on the phone with me? I have NEVER, EVER, EVER done a review before. EVER. I'm a 40 year old with 3 mouths to feed, and asking for what I was promised, and being told that they were going to call the police on me for harassment?????? WOW!!!! I've had lunch here a few times over the last couple months. First of all, the slices are huge. A single slice is as filling as two slices at most other pizza joints. It is not exactly NYC thin crust - a little thicker - however the pies are cooked on the deck - no screens - and nice and crispy. As far as toppings, I can only vouch for the sausage which I thought was excellent. Can of soda and a slice comes to around $4.50 which I think is a very good value. I have also tried their Italian mix sub. They make their subs on their own fresh baked bread. Ample amount of your typical Italian meats and provolone however too much bread. After eating about half of a small sub, I took off the bottom half of the bread which made the bread to meat ratio just about right. All in all, a very good addition to my neighborhood pizza joint options. Looking forward to trying their wings and the $8.99 chicken parm dinner special they have advertised on their sign out front. read more
