We ran over a screwdriver, yes a screwdriver, and it punctured our tire. we found the neatest Big O tires , which happened to be on Concord Ave in Condcord. We got there 20 minutes before closing time, and the team Big O team all scrambled to get the tire off and repair it and got us on the way. Thing that impressed me the most was, even though It was the end of their day and they were probably itching to get out of there, they were all very pleasant and professional. We even got a good laugh when they handed me the broken off screwdriver that impaled my tire. it was refreshing to see people enjoying their job. read more

I go there with a leaking tire, try to understand exactly what I can do in this situation. The guy in the front desc wasn't patient to my questions and just wanted to make a better deal. When I try to understand why he talk to me like that he start to fast talk to me in aggressive way and even yell. This is not a good service, I'm not going to go back there again. read more

The Big O tire facility on Concord Avenue in Concord CA has just turned away a customer of 30 years. My understanding of Big O's corporate policy is "if we sell you a tire, we service it for life, fixing flats free." What I got was "we refuse to work on tires older than 5 years, even if they are Big Os." When I asked if that was a new policy, she just shrugged and said she didn't know. Once upon a time, if you had a flat, they were happy to fix it on the spot; now they apparently need 4-6 hours, or you can book an appointment for the next day. Did you get sales or service at another Big O? Too bad--"you are not in our system." Since when? She then told me that "in any case, the nail in your tire is in the sidewall, so it's not fixable." I took it to a Costco, which repaired the damage for under $15 within an hour and a half. The sidewall was not involved in the damage. This lifelong customer now understands how things differ from facility to facility, and that old guarantees are no longer honored. I'm done with Big O. read more

On Tuesday 5/18/2021, I decided to buy 4 new tires for my teen daughters car after she got a flat. 2 days later on Thursday she is driving on highway 242, when she hears a pop, her car severely jerks, almost had a car hit her, yet maintains control and pulls over. She calls my husband and he comes to see that her back right tire's side wall completely blew out. We both take this obviously defective tire back to Big O immediately to show them and tell them what happened. Now, we are all shaken up especially my teenager because she could have severely gotten hurt or caused someone else to get hurt, yet their response dumbfounded me. Samantha, their no smiling, with her dislike her job attitude, claims she has worked here for 14 years and never seen anything like this before. Then she has the audacity to claim that my teen hit something, that's why the tire blew, basically calling her a liar. Now I understand this is the way some businesses decides to do business, yet it still really infuriates me because had she 1), not been a liar (never seen something like this), and 2) taken responsibility, I probably would have ended up giving them more money to upgrade her tires. First My daughter isn't lying. If she would have hit something, I would have taken the tire back up there to get it exchanged under the extra warranty I paid for 2 days prior and it would have been no big deal. Another big piece of evidence that she didn't hit something is that her rim is clean, her tire is clean, and there is no damage anywhere else. The tire has a 4-5 inch tear in it, so she would have known she hit something cause it would have been large, it would have markings on the tire and damage to her rim and car. So she didn't hit anything, but thanks for putting the blame on us instead of taking responsibility in your product. I explained to Samantha I was not comfortable with having 3 other tires that can obviously blow on my teen at anytime, so I didn't want them anymore. I either wanted an upgrade, or a refund. They denied the upgrade and I am waiting on an answer for a refund, which I'm sure is going to be no. But they don't know me. I'm the type of person who sued General Motors for 45k for selling me a brand new 2014 Lemon Acadia, and won. I'm getting her 4 new tires at another business, returning the 3 unstable and 1 defected tires back to Big O and requesting a full refund. If I don't get a full refund, I will see y'all in court. This is not how you treat customers. Thanks to them, my daughter will have PTSD from this experience. read more

These guys came through for me again, The first time was when they helped me get the right kind of tire for my car - which the dealer did not do. Yesterday they checked a tire and found that the wheel was cracked on the inside. They told me they could order it, or if I brought one in, they would put the tire on it. No charge for checking. Anyway, they are really helpful. Only 4 stars, but if they took appointments it would be a 5 rating. The wait usually isn't too long though. The people working there are nice and know what they are doing. I feel they take care of a customer, and it doesn't get much better than that. read more

Very satisfied with my experience. We had a slow leak in one of our tires and discovered that there was a nail in the sidewall. Because of the location of the nail, we were unable to patch the tire. We had been planning on replacing them later this year but this definitely moved our timeline forward. The first couple of places that I called were quoting me over $1300 for four tires plus installation. The kicker was that even at that price, everyone had to order the tires. Then I made the choice to call Big-O and I was glad that I did. Luis was great! He found me a set of tires for a reasonable price. I let him know that we really needed the tires today and he was able to have someone run down to the warehouse within an hour. In about another hour we were back on the road! I have come to this location for tires a number of times. They are always quick and efficient, and very kind. Pierre is the sales consultant I have had the most experience with, and it's always a positive one. I love the warranty on the tires, and already have had to use one as I hit a curd and my tire hit a huge bubble. Easy replacement on my warranty tire! I've also had break pads and rotor replacements. Recently, I dropped by in need of a brake job. That scary, expensive noise started so I knew...it....was....time. The guys took in my truck around 8am, gave me a ride to work and picked me back up before 2pm. They also changed my oil and replaced some filter and it was right around $400 bucks. I'm used to paying quite a bit more..I guess my brakes were not as bad as they could have been. I'm pretty loyal to using Big O although I usually use the location in Vallejo. IMO, you may pay a bit more but it's worth it. Oh, they did my balance/rotation for free and all that good stuff since my tires are Big O too. Love it.... read more

Wonderfully helpful service! I was on the freeway, yes, the freeway, when an indicator light came on telling me my left rear tire pressure was low. WHAT?!? I reduced my speed, and made my way to this Concord, CA location of Big O. The clerk assured me that some of the damage on the side of tire (looked like it had been scraped) was cosmetic, and he offered to check my tire pressure. Another one of the team members checked my tire pressure. Yes, my left rear tire was low, but he quickly remedied that, and checked all of the other tires. My car was now back to normal - RELIEF! This team quickly, efficiently, and professionally helped me with my tire pressure in less than 5 minutes. Bravo, and well done! I WILL be back. read more

This is probably going to be the easiest review I've ever written based on service and price from a tire shop, Jason and Pierre over here @ Concord Big O tires always solves my problem and I never have to worry about price or paying twice. Another great thing about Big O Tires in 1440 Concord Ave in Concord is that it's located right off the freeway if you're on 680 south, you can more or less drive off the freeway and into their parking lot and they are open on Sundays. I live in Antioch but go here because of their excellent service. read more

I ordered alignment and balanced tires and they did not do the balanced tires. They gave me a silly excuse and the alignment was terrible. The tire that wears out did not touch it for the alignment that shows the role of alignment. I lost my time and money. read more

The replaced my windshield wipers and left the plastic strip from the packaging on one wiper, made it non-functiona. l I had to go back and they figured out they didn't take the packaging off. In the area running errands on Sunday 11/26 at about 1pm I called and was quoted $130 to mount and balance two new tires I purchased online. The manager told the guy answering the phone to quote this. My local Big O which only charges $20+ disposal. WTF is with this high markup? Other shops in the area were no more than $25 each. I ended up hitting another shop on my way home for $17 each plus $3 disposal. Never will this business get mine! read more

I have been coming to this a Big O for over ten years. It's been my go-to for vehicle maintenance. I have always felt well taken care of by Pierre and he's the reason I've stuck with the shop. Unfortunately he seems to be the only employee taking mask compliance seriously. I felt very uncomfortable here because mask wearing was completely lax. An employee drove my car into the bay with no mask on. They only pull a mask up when someone walks into the office, it's all for show. I'll have to find a new shop, super disappointed. read more

Have a slow leak in my tire said it would take about an hour because a few cars in front of me. Waited 25-30 minutes and truck was being pulled in. Thought I would be out in another 30. Seems to take a lot longer nowadays to pull a nail out and plug than it did say 5yrs ago. Still heard the same noise in the back on my car so I took more time off, went back and told them, they said it's fine and safe just break them in everything is good. A week later I get a flat with my baby in the car in 95 degree heat. I go to Les schwab and they tell me my back tires need to be replaced as soon as possible their completely warn. I go back to Big O the following morning with my 7 month old having thought I had an appointment and they tell me I have to wait an hour to be seen. Ordered 4 tires here. The price was very competitive, so I was happy to help a local business. Not as happy as I could've been, it turns out. I read the work order and realized they wanted $24 for valve stems. Crummy rubber valve stems they must buy by the thousand. I objected, and the guy at the counter said "that's what they get for them". Who are they? I told him I wasn't paying $6 for a valve stem. He didn't blink, and didn't care as I walked out the door. I'm not stupid, so I went to an auto parts store and paid $4.26 for 4 stems, tax included. I handed the stems to Mr. Uncooperative and he wrote up a new work order. So, instead of offering to sell me stems at, let's say $2 each, and still turning a profit, he got nothing. You can go to an auto parts store and buy high-quality all-metal stems for $3 each, and I will from now on. Whenever I've purchased tires from them, Big O has always gone out of their way to get an extra pound of flesh. Otherwise, the experience was okay. read more
