My cars TPMS indicator lit up as I was driving on the freeway and I instantly panicked because that usually indicates that my tire is losing air and will eventually become a flat. I Yelp'd for the nearest shop and stumbled upon Big O' Tires. Once I got inside, I was greeted right away and was helped by Brian. I told him about my situation, he checked out all my tires and told me that none of my tires were losing air but he diagnosed the problem and said that my right rear sensor has either died or was malfunctioning which caused the indicator on my dashboard to light up. If the sensor's battery did die, you can't just replace the battery, you have to replace the whole sensor itself which can range from $48-58 (that's if you get the piece from somewhere else), my total cost today was $87+. Brian mentioned to me that these sensors usually lasts about 4-5 years, my 2011 Honda Civic LX was within that range. Now, if I knew that I didn't have a flat tire and that i just needed to replace my sensor, then I would have asked my boyfriend to do it to save some money but Brian and the rest of the workers were just so nice and kind to me so the price didn't bother me much, now I know what to do next time. Brian said that it would take 30 minutes to get the sensor replaced but I think I only waited 15 minutes. After I paid, Brian gave handed me some flowers which I thought was so sweet, PS: they give all the ladies flowers. Overall, it was a great experience. As a woman, I get very uneasy when I go to a shop because I feel like the workers belittle me just because of the fact that I am a woman and they automatically assume I don't know anything, but the workers here were great! I pulled into wheel work to do a tire inspection and they told me it'll be a few hours for them to check into it. I'm like for a job this small they should just take care of me and just inspect the tires if there's a nail. Went across the street and decided to try Big O Tire. Immediately had a guy check my tires and looks as if it's low on air only. Amazing folks and I own my own dealership too. Will be buying tires from them from here on out. My family has been planning a camping trip. I needed to have my Class C RV serviced for an oil change and was running behind on the smog check needed for my registration. El Monte RV and Happy Daze RV were booked out. Because my wife and I have had surprisingly good experiences in the past, taking our 1970 classic Camaro and Honda CRV to this particular Big O Tires shop referred to us from a neighbor, I called on a whim to see if they would be comfortable servicing my 26 ft. Ford, Jamboree. Yes, was the immediate response. The next day, I drove from Livermore to this Dublin shop. Mike met me out front and told me where to park. I expressed that I wanted the oil changed; my overall tire health, alignment, and various hoses checked. Within in minutes, Mike pointed out that my back rear, right outer tire looked like a "racing slick" and was showing wires down the middle. I was shocked. I don't know how I could have missed it, or if it had simply happened on our last outing. I've always been tire-pressure conscious and striving for safety. Mike said to give him a couple hours. I enjoyed walking the streets of Dublin for a couple. When I returned, as they were finishing up, I saw that I had six new tires, with valve extenders added, and a full review printed out with all my requests met, which were also explained individually by Mike. The entire staff was friendly and personable. I was impressed by how welcome I felt in the 20 minutes I sat inside chatting with other staff members. I applied for a Big O tire line of credit and received a 12 month 0% interest approval. I was happy! I kid you not! When I drove off the lot, I realized it felt like I was driving a brand new Van. I couldn't believe that my RV felt better than the day I drove it off the lot. I am so incredibly confident in this Big O shop, I will refer anyone I know to them. Everyone I've ever worked with always had a positive attitude, great smile, and is truly knowledgeable about their service. We recently had service performed on a few specialty cars we have (Off-Road Sand Cars), typically in be really nervous about taking a specialty car to a general service center, but when working with Greg, Mike, Brian, Scott... heck, everyone I came across was super knowledgeable and helpful. What a great experience. My mom and I went in to Dublin Big O Tires because I found out earlier that day that my back tail light was out. Within five minutes we were being provided service. Unfortunately I did not catch the name of the mechanic who helped us, but he was very friendly, personable and had a funny sense of humor. He answered our questions in a way that was respectful and informative (not at all condescending- a huge plus for two women at a repair shop!). Within twenty minutes everything was fixed, saving me however much money a ticket could've been. Thank you Big O Tires Dublin! We'll definitely be returning here. My wife purchased a set of tires at $165 each 40k warranty she had a nail that was 1 1/2" from the middle of the tread big o said they can not fix it because it had to be within 2" of the center of the tire (inch on both sides from the center), the nail was still in the tread line but outside their 2" limit and then they said that the tires were worn down to the wear limit and she needed new tires. I showed them the warranty for 40k and that the tires only had 20k on them plus all tires were worn evenly so they could not say it was an alignment problem. They said they could not warrant the tires because I had to show proof that they did yearly alignments and rotated the tires every 3k miles. Big o came up with every excuse "NOT" to honor their warranty but kept trying to get me to buy new tires. I refused and went to another place. I now go to American Tires where they do fix flats and tire prices are better and I have seen them honor their warranties, haven't had to use the warranty yet but service is great. I don't know why I didn't do this earlier guess I had to get screwed over to find a better place. read more

So I have been buying my tires here for the past 14 years. Lately the last couple times Ive had issues with them. This last time (1 year after buying a whole new set) I needed two new ones since they wore out. I was getting my oil change somewhere else and they ought the tires to my attention. they had the tires in stock, but I wanted to see how much they were at Big O. Over the phone they quoted me a price, I scheduled an appointment for the same day and I headed over. When I got there the person who helped me, told me "Oh no, we don't have these tires, we don't even carry them." he then tried to sell me the more expensive tires. I told him no, I left another place because I was quoted a particular price and the AAA discount on top of this (BTW, I just learned of the discount a year ago). After a little while, he came down in price, but said he couldn't give me the discount and I would have to come back the next day. I explained to him. I was on the clock and didn't have time to waste or run around. Finally it gave me what I came in for. I asked for a wheel alignment he told me my car would be ready at 4. 4:30 rolls around and no call, so I call. They say, Oh, it'll be ready at 5:30. Luckily my ride was still available. i get to the shop and my car hasn't even been put on the rack (or whatever its called.) Ten minutes later, they call me over an tell me my car is ready. So I somewhat jokingly ask, "did you really have to do an actual alignment?" No answer. A couple minutes later he says "it takes your car longer to get than actually do an alignment." My car still pulls, but I don't have time to go back. I think I'm done with Big O, just too many inconsistencies. Gonna have to got to Costco now. read more

This review is for service that was provided to me months ago, prior to SIP/COVID-19, but this particular location deserves a highlight. The associates were all professional and friendly. It was a plus that they were able to accommodate me on the same day. i left another big o tires location just 5 miles away that turned me away due to a glitch in their appointment scheduling. I asked my parents to watch my daughter, so i was really pressed to get my truck taken care of that day- i was so thankful that they could take me. After getting my oil changed, the staff informed me that my tires were in really bad shape- nearly bald, no grip. They showed me the tires compared to normal tires-- it was clear that they were bad, even with my untrained eye. I decided to take care of them right then and there as it was definitely necessary. They were not pushy, but highly recommended that the tires get taken care asap for safety. They answered all my questions and concerns and gave me an opportunity to make a decision without ever making me feel rushed or pushed. They were able to replace all tires that same day. The tires i chose were reasonably priced considering it was a big purchase. Im not sure why the other big o tires location was so busy, but in all my encounters at this dublin location, the work has always been fair and efficient. This is how all tire places should be. Normally, I would have stuck with Pleasanton for new tires since it's where I live and Dublin is ... well, Dublin. But a neighbor had great things to say and even called them and spoke to Greg who gave a great quote. It was much cheaper than even the "Discount Tire Store" of Fremont which has plenty of great signs, but tires that cost 2X more at their cheapest. Thus, when the time came, I called and got a good estimate. I even drove down there that afternoon. They honored the quoted price and -- and other places PLEASE NOTE THIS -- they did not try to upsell me. I find the upsell so annoying and usually will never return to a place that says, "Oh, you NEED this and that and now THIS again!" One place in the past even did an unsolicited 100-point inspection (seems nice, but it's all for the upsell) which I did not ask for, and then tried their best to scare me into letting them do some of the work. One comment had been: "You shouldn't be driving it at all! The brake pads are almost gone!" (Since I spent years working on cars, I simply checked them and they were fine.) Big O did advise a front-end alignment, which I agreed to since A) The price was very fair, and B) It's pretty common to get one when tires are changed if it's not been done in a long while. In fact, it's probably the reason my inner tires go bald so fast. Another thing I enjoyed about Big O was that I needed two tires and asked for two tires and they sold me--get this--TWO tires. Another place and I won't mention the name (let's just say, R*Nck) claimed they could only sell me four tires, which might be true, but still, I didn't want or truly need four. Now, it did take over an hour to do the job. Whether it's due to great service and a friendly staff, or just people needing tires on a Monday afternoon, the place was busy and I had no appointment. They have shuttle services for those in need. Me, I just brought a book. (Well, I had planned to bring a book. I left in the garage and lost a lot of good reading time. I typically go to America's tire but I needed a wheel allignment. I called around and they were by far the most inexpensive allignemtn shop in the area. Service was prompt and friendly and the techs seem to know what they're doing. The only thing I didnt like was when it came time to pay the sales person told me a different price than what I was told over the phone. He mentioned that his priced included a 1 year warranty (essentially having me by something I didnt really need). I opted for the $89 price which I was originally told and had a 6th month warrenty. read more

We've been coming here since the 2nd day we moved to Dublin (March '14). Some little white racer import scraped the front left of my car, leaving a nice white stripe and a poked tire. They helped replace it. 4th time here for oil changes and the like. This time: getting four new Big O Euro Tour tires on my wife's car before we drive back to Chicago for a couple weeks. I picked them over the Michelin because of the warranty. The service guy said it was the tires he used on his car when he lived in Grants Pass and Portland, OR. I'm going to warn him that if I go with the warranty and I die up in the mountains because of the tire choice, that I'm going to cash in my BA in Religion and haunt him the rest of his lives. ALMOST KILLED US! The reason for this review is to avoid what happened to me to happen to others. If you were thinking of going to Big Old Tires is Dublin, please reconsider. These people almost left my children motherless and my students with special needs without their beloved teacher. My boyfriend took his SUV in to ensure that we had new tires for our long weekend getaway as we were going to go through treacherous terrain through highway 178. All those who have traveled through that area understand when I say that this area can be extremely dangerous especially at night and even more so when it's foggy or raining as this makes visibility very poor. What was supposed to be a restful getaway turned into a perilous journey as when we were going through the area between Pinyon Peak and Morris Peak, our car started shaking. There was no place to stop as this is a very desolated area with a cliff side on one side and the freeway shoulder on the other, plus no cell phone reception. We didn't know what was wrong but every step of the way was dreadful. As our car started shaking violently, all we could do was hope that we could make it through the mountain range as trying to stop would have been very dangerous and the probability of someone stopping to help us would have been very low. When we finally made it through the mountain range, we stopped and we could not figured out what was wrong with the car. All the auto shops were closed as it was late in the evening. We drove very, very slow until we made it to our destination. In the morning we drove our car to the shop. Hours later, yes we were without a car for hours, the mechanic called us. He wanted us to come and look at what he had found. He could not believe it and even told us that we were lucky to be alive. Big Old Tires had forgotten to turn the lug nuts on one of the tires. The visions of what could had happened if we had lost a tire while driving though the treacherous area of highway 178 was in my mind for days. We could not enjoy our getaway. You might think that Big Ol Tires or the manager, Steve, would have tried to make things better but besides refunding us what we had spent at the mechanic's nothing else was done. The lack of concern for human life is unbelievable. Before the trip my boyfriend when back three times because of issues with the tires. Even after three times they could not get it right. This was our first time doing business with them and it will be our last. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. We could have been killed, if we had my children in the car, they could have been killed. The manager Steve acted as this happens all the time and it was not big deal. Again the lack of concern towards human life is incredible. read more

I rarely post anything on Yelp unless it deeply disappointed me or greatly exceeded my expectations for service. And the crew out at BIG O is outstanding. I never have done anything with tires through a local shop since I found that purchasing tires online typically is way more affordable plus combining it with the fact that a friend of mine can mount and balance new tires for me for free preventede from really ever needing to go to a shop for tires. But in a pinch a few weeks ago I needed to get my trucks tires rotated and balanced, and since it was the day after Christmas I called every tire shop, Big O and America's tire co from Alamo to Dublin to see if they could accommodate a walk in same day, none of the shops could except for BIG O in Dublin, since they are one of the largest in the area and provide excellent service. I walked in the guys were nice and the price was acceptable to me, keep in mind I'm used to free. I took off never to actually come back. But little did I know, my wife's mini van had other plans for me, a couple days ago my wifes mini van started pulling to the left while driving, she had not hit anything and it baffled me. So I promptly called these guys at 330pm to see if they could squeeze me in for an allianment same day, and they said come on in. They took care of me same day both times. Allianment done, but they told me that the car would still pull since the tires on the inside edge were to the metal, so I drove it home and called them and asked for the price on 2 new tires of the same make and model as the rear ones, they gave me a price of $380 out the door installed, the price for each tire being $154.00 that was $24.00 more than online, but when I thought about it, the cost for me to get tires shipped then drive them to my buddy, and schedule with him when he's available since he's a full time mechanic with his own life, so it could take a few days to a week before he could install it. It honestly made no sense for me to buy online, since it would be within $15 a tire. They got the tire the next day and again with no appointment I showed up @ 4 pm and they squeezed me in and took care of it. Now both vehicles are running great, and they guys at BIG O Dublin are friendly, and they shoot straight, I have rebuilt a couple motors and typically do all my own work, and these guys did not BS me, just honest guys. And they would have price matched these tires but being that these are OEM tires they told me straight their margins and I said it's not really any profit and I was happy to pay what they asked. Again I will be going to them in the future they are a full service shop and are always busy, but if you have a reasonably easy thing to do and are in a pinch and give them enough time to do it, they are very accommodating compared to other local tires shops, because they have the shop and the crew to do it. Late post, but still happy with my tire purchase! I was looking to upgrade my Wrangler's tires last year and had called around to a few places for quotes and availability. Dublin Big O was the first store that 1) stated they could get the tire set in the timeline that I was looking for and 2) treated me respectfully as a female customer. Dublin Big O's prices were a tad bit higher than a nearby competitor (~$50 total for a set of 5 tires), however the customer service I received made me feel comfortable paying the extra price. the only reason went here was that i could get 15% discount as a costco member. i went in here to check my AC is not working in my Honda CRV 2018 plus the wheel balancer for all the tires as I had some issue with some other auto guy. the wheel balancing they did perfect job and my steering shaky issue has been resolved, but the problem was that they kept telling me to go where i changed my tires recently as one of my rear tires has an issue. they did not even know that they fixed my steering wobbling issue which is piteous. And on top of that, to fix the AC system they asked me over $1000 which is pathetic. i got it fixed from Honda dealer in dublin under $450. read more

Just got my oil changed at the Dublin location. I've been taking my car here for years and it used to cost 19.95 for labor plus disposal fee of 3.00 if you brought in your own oil. Today the asshole charged me 28.95 plus disposal fee for an oil change even though I brought in my own oil like I normally do. He told me the prices have gone up....okay I understand. He wouldn't budge on the price. I called the big o tires in Danville and Pleasanton while waiting for my car to be done...both locations told me the oil change would be 19.95 plus disposal. WHAAATT what the heck why is the Dublin location changing me more then?? Told the manager Steve that I called the other locations and they were only charging me 19.95 and he said he'd give me "5.00 off". Well thanks for being "generous" but it's still a rip off going here cuz they skew the prices. No thanks, you lost my business and I'm telling everyone about the business ethics here! These guys can't compete on price. I got a quote from them and asked them to pricematch tire-rack. The gentleman I spoke with said he was the owners son and although he claimed he was pricematching, after tax it was significantly more than tire racks price plus shipping. When I pointed that out, he kept saying that he has to pay a 10% franchise fee and that he is not going to take a loss on a sale. It was annoying to hear that. Tell me what you CAN do for me not what you CAN'T. In the end his whining was bs, I ended taking my car to Americas Tire and they beat the 'best' that Big-O could do, by a total of over 40 dollars! If you can't compete, you should not be in business. Take your car to Costco or America's Tire. Save the drama! read more

Got a nail in one of the tire so I brought it to them, the guy just eyeball it and told me the damage is not repairable n it would cost me 200 + tax n installation. They didn't have the exact model n stock. So I went to another tire store, this store not only cheaper, they inspected the damage n found out it was repairable. So I got it repaired instead of paying 200+. Don't go to this Big O. All they c is dollar signs as soon as u walk in there. read more
