I bought a Big O warranty on the 6 tires they installed for me. 2 months later I had an issue with one of my tires. And when I went in to get it fixed I was told that my warranty that I paid over $300 for was for the tires they took OFF... not the new ones they installed. I asked them why I would buy a warranty on tires they removed??? The manager said that there was nothing he could do to help me. Word to the wise - when your tire light comes on, don't ignore it. That's exactly what I did and why I ended up here. But honestly, it wasn't so bad. Usually I feel like when I visit anything mechanical, I get taken advantage of. It's cool, I know I don't look like I know anything about cars (which is accurate). However, this place did not take advantage at all. My husband was also with me but honestly, even if he wasn't, I don't think they would have tried to at all. My tired blew out on the freeway and being that my spare tire was pretty flat, I needed to take my car in ASAP to get the tire replaced. We were greeted by a really nice young woman who took care of us great. It turns out, I have Michelin tires, which run rather high. I opted out of the expensive tire and went straight for the cheapest one I could get. She said no problem at all and told us it would be about an hour wait. We decided to kill some time by walking across the street to Norm's Diner. It ended up taking less than an hour to change out my tire. So what could have been an awful day turned out to be not so bad, thanks to Big O Tires taking great care of us. AND best part of all - I used my Yelp check in offer when I paying. Today I had an unexpected tire issue and needed a replacement asap! I was greeted by Joey as soon as I walked in the door. He provided me with some of the best customer service I've had in years! He was extremely personable, very friendly and gave me many options to work with my budget. He had the Big O recommendations for a package which they want customers to buy but he wasn't overly aggressive with his pitch which I appreciate as a shopper on a budget. Had the oil in my truck changed today. Came home parked the truck in the driveway. Went out later that even evening to put the trash in, big puddle of oil under the truck. Pisses me off. My driveway is pavers. Difficult to remove stains. We'll see if they make it right tomorrow. Avoid this place like the plague! Twice they have been dishonest. My son's jeep had a nail close to the sidewall which they said could not be fixed. I bought a new tire and when I got home found the old tire had been plugged and replaced. After ridiculous difficulty they did put a new tire on. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, big mistake. Several months later I received a coupon for an oil change. Took my Honda in for an oil change and tire rotation recently. They refused to rotate unless I purchased 2 new tires which they said had dry rot.... These tires have great tread and no indication of dry rot. Had them inspected and rotated at another tire store. Went to big o tires to fill the tires up and the guy noticed a nail in my rear tire. I said oh ok how much to fix it? He says $30. Hmm I know I purchased them here. Then he takes pictures and goes inside to converse with the manager and tells me it's not repairable and a new tire will be $228.... Well I said I'm going to check around. I go directly to discount tire and they do a full inspection of all tires and said easy patch. I explained to them what happened at Big-o. And they said we can patch it. Guess what?? Discount tire patched it for free!! Not even a $30 charge. I'm done with Big-O Tires!! They are obviously trained to sell tires to everyone that walks in the door regardless if they need them or not!! What has happened to this location? Ever since the management change it has gone downhill. I used to speak highly of this location and send family there but not after today. I send a family member from out of town in for an oil change, full synthetic since it is $49.99. Not a bad price. I know they'll be an extra fee or two. But after seeing what they did to my family, never again will I take my business or recommend anyone. Obviously this new manager and his team have turned into scammers, especially when they see a younger adult. Charged $9.99 for an oil filter separate of the $49.99 charge that already includes the filter. Then charged $30 for additional barrel oil. Could have bought fresh quarts cheaper than that. We knew it would take 3 additional but not at $30. And what the hell is a $4.99 employee service charge. Why is the consumer paying an employee service charge? Isn't that what all the other labor costs are for? What should have been about a $75 oil change after extra quarts and a couple of fees turned in $110. That's BS. Could have had it done at a dealer cheaper than that. And to top it off, left the car and said to call when done. 4 hours later no call so he calls and is placed on hold and then is told "oh yeah, it's been done a while". What happened to the customer service at this location? Disappointing to see the direction this location has gone since Ed has been gone. Should have known based on all the recent negative reviews. Much more than normal. Folks, if you still decide to go here, check the BS extra charges and make sure they aren't charging you for things they shouldn't be. They have turned into the low class auto shop that no one wanted to go to. Shame on the new management. Hopefully the franchisee pays attention. read more

I had a pinhole in one of my tires causing a tiny leak and every three or four months my tire pressure light would come on. Eventually I got fed up with having to deal the issue and figured it was about time to get it fixed. Big O Tires patched up my tire for FREE ($0.00)! I don't know anywhere else that offers this service for absolutely no charge. I just drove in, explained my problem to one of the servicemen, filled out a little bit of paperwork, and left my keys with them. A couple hours later I get a call saying my car's ready to be picked up and that was it! THANK YOU to the awesome Big O team here for a simple, friendly, no fuss experience. You guys rock! read more

We use this Big O Tire regularly for our oil changes. I went in with a check engine light for them to check this last time and it turned out to be our transmission going bad. The store manager talked with me for at least 10 minutes going over different options and helped me work through what would be best to do cost wise. In the end it wasn't even something we could do at their store - the best bet was to just sell and move on. I really appreciate him taking the time to work it out with me and give me advice that was in my best interest. We will definitely keep coming back! read more

Needed a oil change. Big O Tires aren't just great for tires but they do a great job with simple maintenance like oil changes. They were pretty quick and they provide a post analysis on the car. They provide the recommended repairs as well as upcoming maintenance based on miles. Will be back for sure. read more

Maybe not all Big O's are bad but the one on Boulder Highway in Henderson is the worst! I had a blow out leaving boulder city. Had my car towed to them as my tires are still under warranty. They replaced it. BUT the low tire light stayed on. I was back there 3 to 4 times and every time a new "it's okay if the light is on" Or "it takes a while and the light will go off" I had a service call at my Honda dealership the following week. I was afraid to drive it. And was not going to have any service from them. Honda told me it was the wrong tire size. Okay, back again I go! They kept insisting it is the right tire and probably needs a sensor. I callled Honda who knows what they are doing. They can do a scan I think. IT WAS THE WRONG TIRE. The manager was there and was not nice. Sorry, I called his staff "dumb"....well if the show fits. I put the Honda guy on the phone with the manager. IT WAS INDEED THE WRONG TIRE SIZE. Problem now is fixed. I got awful treatment from the "boss". The girls that work there try, I have no complaint with them, but they are not mechanics. THEY NEED TO GET MECHANICS THAT KNOW WHAT THE HECK THEY ARE DOING. I also need the last tire under warranty replaced but they refuse to do it. They are not right there either. STAY AWAY FROM THEM...GO TO DISCOUNT TIRE! Sadly at the time I needed to use a credit card and they were in Boulder City. The credit card is now cut in half. read more

Fantastic work done by the team here! I've been a customer at this location across four years and they always treat me and my car with care. Came in for a tire deal and even though my tires weren't in the deal offered, they got me a great price (within $30 of the deal) on the tires and labor. Always upfront with costs and maintenance required, and they're understanding of what you can handle taking care of cost-wise that day. David and Melvin were truly lovely, and I can't recommended this place enough for tires and beyond! My car is over 10yrs old so it always has something a little extra off with it, and they took the extra time to do a great alignment check on a car other techs would've called "good" and sent me off with. The techs are very professional and thorough in their dealings. They've went out of their way to ensure that I'm getting the most "bang for my buck" multiple times and I've never had an issue with them. I visited about a month ago and have called and emailed multiple times since then (as soon as 24 hours after my appointment) regarding the fact that the valve stems on my tires are missing. As I have a video taken of my tire damages in the Big O tire lot, I know they were all in tact beforehand. With seemingly no customer service to respond I have to rate them low as aside from going in person, they seem to be avoiding any and all customer contact. UPDATE: Finally got in touch with and was able to solve the problem with them, they replaced the valve stems and put air in all the tires for us. Thank you!!! read more

Christopher is awesome and this entire shop is awesome. My lifted 4x4 truck drives so much better now. I had Big-O do an alignment (Paid for the 3 year alignment plan), got my tires balance and rotated, and also the biggest thing is they advised me to get a camber kit because my truck will not get proper alignment without it. I have no idea why the 3 shops before them did not recommend this. My Truck now rides like silk! A lot of shops do NOT know how to work on lifted trucks. I have had 3 shops in the Vegas area do an alignment for me, and none of them could get it right. My truck has had alignment issues for the past 9 years, but because I do not drive it much (about 2k miles a year), it was not as noticeable as far as tire wears go, but now all the problems gone thanks to Big-O. I know they are gone due to the way my truck drives. It is less bouncy and wobbly, the front end steers more precise, and the steering wheel does not veer off right like it did before. Only reason I found this shop is because of lame policies from Discount Tire, and I am so glad did find this shop! Now I plan to use them again for all my automotive needs. I have been a loyal Discount Tire guy for 14+ years, but NO more. Discount Tire refuse to honor their "free rotation for life of the tires" plan. They told me that my tires were too old to rotate! I barely drive this truck and it only sees about about 2.5k miles a year and my tires look brand new despite being 8 years old. I have had problems with Discount Tire before at multiple locations. They often break lugnuts and they do NOT repair them there onsite, instead they make you drive to another shop to get it fix (more wasted time). Discount Tire are NOT even a full service tire shop. All they do is sell you tires, and they will even refuse to repair the tires you bought from them if they deem the tire "unsafe" or if the tire is too old. Discount Tire is basically just a sweat shop that is always talking you into buying new tires even when you do not need them. While I was in the waiting room I saw these guy work and the great customer service they provided to like 5 other people, hence the reason I will be back. read more

It was painful to give even one star! And I totally understand why Discount Tires is putting Big O out of business. I applied for a Big O credit Card so I could help my uncle who is a retired Naval Veteran. He needed safe tires on his car to get to the V A Hospital because he has a lot of procedures done there. We Purchased a set of 4 brand new tires and had them mounted. Two weeks later the rear passenger side tire starts to bubble on the sidewall and we take it back at first they acted like we were a bunch of liars and were very rude but eventually just changed out the tire. Well yesterday the same tire did the same thing and the car has been hardly driven at all do to my uncle being Ill for 3 months. We were told that the tire was covered but we would have to pay for mounting $57 which we were fine with, also we were told that we would need to wait for the tire to be delivered on the next day so I had my uncle leave his car there overnight. The next morning we get a call that they cannot get the car started and they were going to see what the problem was and call us back. When they called him back they told him he needed a complete new ignition switch system and it would cost us $756 which was a little bit of a shock and we wanted a second opinion on the ignition so we told them no on repairing the ignition and we ended the call cordially. About an hour later Big O Called and told us they received the tire but were not able to put it on the car because they don't have the right size lug nut remover! Now my mind is blown because They sold and installed those tires! So the only thing I can think to do is call my AAA and have them send a tow truck which they did. But when we arrived the car started up fine and I canceled the tow truck. But when we went inside I tried to talk to the gentleman who had helped me originally but another guy who felt the need to tell me over and over again while insulting me that he was the manager I told him I'm trying to talk to his employee and not him and he told me I could take my business somewhere else! My wife who has an Asian accent got upset by the way he was speaking to me and asked the Manager his name he told her David and when my wife said it back she miss pronounced it and asked her if she needed help pronouncing it! In a very rude voice and all the time totally trying to intimidate and bully us!. My wife was hurt by his rude racially driven comments but simply told him your business will fail with people like you as managers of their company. David's final comment to me was after I told him the car started and is running, he said great drive away! Well David we did, we drove to Discount Tire they were absolutely amazing! They took the car right in and had a tire on stock they replaced the tire for a very good price! and adjusted some of the others. THEY EVEN GAVE MY UNCLE A key fur his size lug nuts for FREE! What a great bunch of guys which I will also be reviewing. They are why I will only do business with Discount Tire! I will never set foot inside a Big O again and I'm sure with that type of karma they will be out of business soon! I even cut up my Big O Credit Card! Bye bye Big O!!! read more

I would regularly go to the Big O Tires on Maryland but this will be my new store. It's a further drive but it's definitely worth it! I just went in for an oil change but while waiting for my car, the customer service I received here was fantastic! Unlike the Maryland location after expressing my concerns or being told what work was being done on the car I felt respected and not belittled. I felt very welcomed and comfortable enough to come again in the future on my own (without the help of my brother who knows more about cars than I do). As a women I understand mechanics can become annoyed when it seems like we don't understand a job/ fixing that needs to be done. Fortunately my car did not need any further work but by the service I received I know the people here wouldn't make me feel comfortable about my decision as a car owner. To make the long story short, they called me to let me know my car is ready BUT they found out that I need new hoses because they were leaking and it's made out of EXPENSIVE material so it's gonna cost me lots of money and alot more! I showed my boyfriend the paperworks that will cost me $2,362.85 to be exact, imagine that?!! I thought I'll need a new car instead of spending that much money but I was wrong! Thank goodness his friend works at Valvoline and was ready to help me with my car. He saved me thousands of dollars! Don't let Big O tires fool you! Especially this location. They will take advantage of you if they can! Especially for ladies out there, get a 2nd opinion or do your research first, before even thinking about saying yes to their recommendations.
