I was driving with a nail in my tire for who knows how long. I knew something was off so before I drove back home I stopped by this Big O for some assistance. Cesar was the best. He was kind and super helpful in letting me know the problem, fixing the problem, and then offering further advice. I would recommend for anybody who goes here to see Cesar. I had an appointment at 10:00am for wheel alignment, tire rotation and to fix my flat tire (I hit a curb), I waited more than 5 hours for them to do the job. When my car was waiting for alignment, I checked my tires if they were rotated and it wasn't, I asked them and they said the flat tire was damage and have to replace a new one that's why the tire rotation was not performed. I'm very disappointed with the service. read more

I have call them right before they closed an when i get there they are telling me that i need this this and this which i wanted to know before the end of day so could change the transmission oil, and break fluid too. So very disappointed with Big O tires really miss you Dr Phil My daughter bought her tires from Big O in July she had a nail in one tire about a month ago they fixed it but when she came home I noticed the tires were not checked for pressure that is normally done when you have any tire fixed for courtesy so I filled each tire to match Then now a month later she got another nail in the same tire this time it was considered in the tire wall so it's non repairable I was told because she didn't purchase the extended warranty there was no proration I would have to pay full price on a tire that's less than 6 months old well I didn't take to kindly that and the manager stepped in and asked if he could help so he did give me a prorated tire but still charged for dismount and computer balance $19.99 I once had a truck tire blow out on me and Dr Phil gave me a prorated tire and did not charge to change it I know this is a different company but in all my years I've never heard of not prorating a new tire because you didn't by an extended warranty on your tires this will be my last experience here and since being on Yelp I learned Frank has a tire shop called Great Mall Tires that's were I'll be going from now on as well as anyone else that reads this review I encourage you don't shop Big O read more

I'm writing about my experience on oct 19, 2020 7:15 am. If you don't want to read the whole long incident, here's a summary: the associate doesn't care. The manager doesn't care. I don't feel they honored the extra warranty I purchased. They want me to pay more money because they did not have my warrantied tire in stock. They did not offer any resolution other than me paying the extra money. Then the associate and manager stood there and argued with me for 10 minutes about whose fault it is that the tire is not available. He then said it's my fault because I drove while the tire was flat. When I purchased my tire from bigO they were so nice. When I needed service it was a different story. And I paid extra for the warranty. Save your stress and go elsewhere. Whole incident: I purchased road hazard warranty along with my 2 tires few months ago. When I was sold the road hazard warranty, I was told that if the tire was not repairable, I would get a new tire and would just have to purchase another road hazard warranty. The sales associate told me something different. If my tire was not repairable, he wanted me to pay for mounting a balancing, in addition to purchasing a new road hazard warranty. Your contract clearly states that labor and workmanship is included. ( I looked it up after I left) Then the staff  told me that my tire is not repairable and I would have to get it replaced. Then I stood there for about 10 minutes on the shop floor. The person working on my car went to do an alignment on another car. I went in to ask about status, and the staff told me he was searching for a tire online, they did not have mine in stock. I requested my car back because I had to go to work. After another 10 minutes, he came out and told me he couldn't find anything at all and I would have to pay the difference of a more expensive tire, whenever they find it. I did not think this is right. After all it is not the customer's fault that BigO did not have my size or brand. I was OK with getting a different brand. That's when the staff got rude. me: I purchased a warranty, I should get a new tire. I should not have to pay the diff of a more expensive tire. Its not my fault YOU don't have the tire. associate: Its not MY fault either! This is not MY store Im just a worker. me: Well can you find someone who cares? associate gets the manager, at this point, it's a 2 on 1. They both teamed up against me, the customer. The "manager" was even more ignorant and rude. Manager: You have to pay for the difference of a more expensive tire since we don't have your exact tire. Me: I paid extra for this warranty. And I don't feel I am taken care of. It's not my fault you don't have my tire. YOU should take care of of cost difference. 1st Associate jumps in: If the tire costs 400$ we have to buy you a $400 tire? That's not fair! Me: Im not asking for a 400$ tire. Im asking you honor your warranty and replace the tire with what I had. It is not MY fault you guys don't have that tire. Manager: it's not my fault either. It's not my fault the manufacturer doesn't have your tire. It's not MY fault YOU drove with a flat tire and ruin your tire. Me: You are seriously blaming ME, the customer, for damaging the tire??? You cant just get a flat tire and stop in the middle of the road. You need to drive to get off the road safely. Manager: yes, you are the one who drove it while it is flat. Me: I'm done talking to you, you are making me more upset than helping me. Manager walks in "if you want to order just come inside" I had to flag a different technician down to put my spare tire back on and lower my car to the ground, since my original tech went off to align another car. Im not coming back again. Even though I purchased a warranty... I would rather pay another store. (Which I did) Not to compare you with America's Tires... but those guys really care about the customer. They would  never blame the customer for ruining their own tire. "It's not my fault" is never something you want to hear from a business. PS: I looked up BigOTires warranty and they stated that I would only have to pay for mounting and balance when I purchase the tire the first time. Labor and workmanship is included. "Mounting and balance" should be the same and "labor and workmanship" With so much competition, why would a store treat customers this way?  Very short-term thinking. read more

Simply the worst customer experience ever. I dropped my tire which had slow leak. Next day they called saying needed a new tire, I said I need to think abt it. Before I finished saying that the guy hung up the call and when I went to the store later in the day, was told my old tire is not there any more. My experience with Carly on Thursday 6/2/22 was EXCELLENT. She greeted me immediately when I set foot on the property in the early AM, checked me in promptly, called me a couple hours later to let me know my brand new tire was installed and allowed me to pick up the car after 5pm. My day went from sad to glad. I also had a great conversation with David in the afternoon whose charm and customer service was excellent and infectious. so, i come in to have a flat and then decided to have all four tires replaced. The nuts were hand tightened by me the day before using a lug wrench. Then came off and went on without issue. I show up and apparently the came off without issue as per your mechanic. He tries to put them back on and suddenly one is misthreaded and somehow it is my fault? But it happened because of your mechanic. Somehow, I was able to do more damage than your mechanic when he had no issues until he did something? And though I was discounted 50% of the labor on replacing the stud, I should not have been charged for your mechanic's incompetence. Add to that I was quoted an eta of 1.5 hours from the time i handed over the keys. Returning 1.75 hours later, they had not yet begun to change the tire. Then I had to wait an addition 2.25 hours before the job was done? So, I am out 2.25 hours, +$67.50. Here's a thought, send me a check for 97.50...minimum wage for two hours here, plus the money charged to fix a problem you made. I came to this location because it used to be good service. Tire Outlet was what it was called. The owner would never have tolerated service like this. That's why I came to this place. But now..... I had several choices to where I could go. But a $300 job ended up costing over $400 read more

This location used to be Pacific Tire Outlet. This was my go to place for tires and brakes for over 30 years. After my experience I will never return though. I arrived to find 4 employees at the counter. I was disregarded for a few minutes even though there were no other customers. Finally I was helped and my car was serviced. After it was serviced, I saw it sit for over 20 min. Finally I asked if it was ready and it was. I would probably still be sitting there if I said nothing. When questioned about it, the employee had no comment about the fact that my time was wasted. I asked to speak to a manager and found out that I already was! Anthony, the manager, was not empathetic and blamed things on them being busy (which they weren't). When my car was ready the lobby was empty and there was one other customer in the waiting room. Also that the person helping me was new. Anthony offered me no coupon or retribution and didn't seem to care much. Anthony also overlooked mentioning the mechanic's recommendation that I replace my front brakes. Now I have to take my vehicle to another shop to get that done. I will never go here again. My time and money are better spent elsewhere. read more

Big O is a BIG MISTAKE. Do yourself a favor and find a new tire place. This place is not going to make the Best of Milpitas list any time soon. They nickel and dime and tire prices are way high. I have been a loyal customer to the old Pacific Tire Outlet for years and the owner sold over to Big O. I tried Big O to see if it would work going forward. I called ahead to see about any tire deals - too high. I had to go online and print out competitive pricing from Walmart to get a good per tire price as their price was significantly higher. On top of that is a per tire fee of $20, a fee because of tire sensors $27 an additional fee if you want to protect your whole tire from nails as they only cover about 50% of tire surface - see attachment ( I passed on that one) and the CA $20 tire disposal fee. For alignment they try to up sell on additional services/charges. After your car is worked on they call to tell you that you need other services, brake fluid is not clear, the filters need changing, the wiper is streaking, etc. I passed on those also as I can check and do those myself for much cheaper. read more

So let me start by saying this is no longer Pacific Tires outlet and is now Big O as you can clearly see. I came here looking to give them a try oh, they didn't have the tires I want it but offered me something comprable at a fair price. Things started off good but then things went downhill from there. I had decent tires on my car about 30 40% reading left but one tire had a blowout oh, I told them I would be picking up the four tires when my vehicle was done. I thought they would put the tires to the side but no they put those dirty old tires in my light-colored back seat? Why? On top of that they got my driver side door dirty as you can see in the photo. You would think after all this day would be apologetic but no and instead I was treated to finding out my tires were not properly balanced when my whole car started shaking on the freeway. I will not be returning to this location or this company anytime in the near future. If they have any questions I have the pictures and the print out receipts of other companies having to fix their mistakes which I will try to be getting reimbursed on. read more

Phil is no longer the owner, go to great mall tire outlet instead, the co-owner owns it. Big O tires replaced my brake fluid, but there was so much air in it I could barely stop my car. I had to push the brake pedal all the way to the floor to stop. They told me this was normal for new brake fluid replacement, but I insisted they check again. They did and were nice enough to bleed the air out of the brake lines. read more

I came in today to what used to be Pacific Tire Outlet that was run by the trusty "Dr. Phil". Phil just retired last weekend, but his old crew is still there doing what they've been doing best for years that earned the business tons of great reviews. My wait was much longer than the usual 2hr wait, but I was okay since I had nothing else to do and it was a brand new management. New computers are now being set up so customers will be easily looked up in the system. Frank now works the front desk and suggested some low priced new tires for me since I don't drive much anymore. He also gave me the promotion for tire alignment should I need it (I did). It's still good service but I will miss Dr. Phil very much. Wish you a wonderful retirement Phil! read more

Went in today 10/27/2023 at around 5:30. 30 minutes till they close. I'm a girl early 20's stranded with a flat tire and took it to a well known name. As I approach inside I am greeted by one of the male workers who was counting money and asked the situation and I told him how I had warranty on my rear tires for any patches or plugs. He says let's go check it out. As soon as he sees the car I have he instantly tells me no it can't be repaired and there's no thread without even looking at the tire! He did no inspection nothing at all. Then he tells me to park by the building to get my tire pumped. I waited 5 minutes for someone to finally come and as he pumps air I asked him if it was possible to get my tire checked out so I know if there may be any issues and they immediately say no and they are lazy to do so bc they were closing. Ridiculous how low of customer care and service they provide for the people who pay them. Never doing business with them ever again. This is what you call a failed business. read more

Yesterday, my dad went here, got a quote for a tire change, and left a $200 deposit. He was informed that his tires would be ready by around 9:30 AM. the following day. When he came to the shop the next day, the tires were supposed to be ready by the time he arrived, and it wasn't until 3 hours later that said tires were ready. Not only that, but after the tires had been changed, the people working informed him that they had misplaced his keys, and so he had lost another hour and a half waiting for them to find his misplaced keys. In total, about 4 and a half hours were lost waiting for what should have been a simple pick up and pay that at most should only last 20 minutes. Lastly, the bill itself ended up being $100 more than the original agreed upon price that they had given a quote for the previous day. They attempted to hide this by giving him a "$40 discount," which did not cancel out the large change in price. Overall, it was a terrible experience and terrible business practice by the workers there. We will happily take our business to any other shop that is not this one read more

They quoted me 2 hours for replacing all 4 tires. The job ended up taking 6 hours. Their communication was terrible and I had to call multiple times for updates. I would not have been as disappointed had they reached out to me to let me know that it would take longer but it was frustrating waiting around at home and not knowing when it was going to be finished.
