    All asleep at the wheel!

I was charged for alignment that was never performed because they don't have experienced technicians, just a bunch of circus monkeys listening to a blasting Boombox and running around in circles . Better count your lug nuts before you leave the Big uh-"O" shop !! ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL!

Someone earlier described this place as Circus Clown show. That was being kind. Got my oil changed of Friday 12/1/2023, drove it home and didnt drive it till Sunday. 20 minutes into my drive from Pinole to South City I get the Low Oil level warning. Pulled over and sure enough the oil level was low. They didn't even refill to the low level mark as shown in my photo. Will call them on Monday to see what they say. I take it from all the negative comments on here already they don't care.

Not sure why all the single-star ratings. My experience was great - though I scheduled my appointment for the middle of the week, so it wasn't busy.. maybe some of the grumpy reviews were taken from peak hour experiences. I was in and out in about 40 minutes to replace 4 tires and have my alignment tested. The service bays were clean and well organized. The techs were focused and efficient. The waiting area was spotless and comfortable. No surprise fees - paid what I was quoted online. Drove off with TPMS registering 36 psi on all 4 tires. Overall, very impressed with this shop. Props to the business owner.

Look! Big O Tires, I found the hole and Cortez tires and auto repaired it.

STAY AWAY! I would give them NO STARS! I went there on Jan 29 2020 for a flat tire repair, since I purchased the tires at big o tires. I got there around 11am. I told them the issue. I used fix a flat to get the car over to them. After leaving it there for 4hrs they called me and told me they couldn't locate the hole. They said that your tire hasnt lost any air and there wasnt anything to fix. Well yeah I put in fix a flat in it. I'm pretty sure they didn't even take my tire off the car, because I just removed the tire from my car today 2/17/2020 and found the hole in 5 sec. SMDH. They was just being lazy and didn't want to clean out the inside of the tire and rim. I guess repairing a tire is low priority. They definetly lost a customer. I JUST TOOK IT TO CORTEZ TIRES AND AUTO REPAIR. THEY REPAIRED IT, AND CLEANED THE INSIDE OF THE RIM AND TIRE AND THEY ALSO BALANCED IT. ALL IN 30 MINS.

I brought my Toyota Sequoia in for a tire rotation, back breaks and a coolant change. Big O tires finished the job quickly and I got back my Sequoia and drove away. Later that week my car began to over heat and the engine light came on. I brought the car back to Big O tires and they did not admit to any fault and said that they properly changed out the coolant. They said that it would cost 11k to rebuild the engine and that the radiator over heating was cause I put sealant on my radiator when I've never done any work on my car and have always brought it into a mechanic to get serviced. My car has never overheated until now and it happens a week after Big O tires services my car. I believe they improperly changed the coolant and maybe rushed the service.. I really have no idea what they did or if they improperly changed my coolant but it's just suspicious that a week after receiving service from them that my car would overheat and my radiator goes out. I will never trust taking my car to Big O tires ever again.

It's usually pretty fast so it's convenient for me to be able to just sit in the car while it gets done. The techs are really nice and explain what is being done as they go. I get the same service done every time so they go off of my license plate when I pull up and just ask me if that is ok and have me sign and date the form and proceed with the oil change. Before they're finished they let me know everything they have completed and if anything needs to be looked at or if I need to monitor anything for the next time. My rear right tire was low on pressure so they added air and made sure I was made aware to keep a look out for that in case that was something I may need to replace. Pricing is pretty comparable to other places so that's a plus. You pay and the receipt along with breakdown is provided and you're on your way. I always ask them to turn off my service light cause my car is fairly old and it doesn't come off automatically. The guys are nice and do it and give me my next service sticker and I'm off. Quick and easy and never an issue. I would definitely recommend coming here!

I don't typically leave reviews, but this experience with Burrough & Sons Automotive was concerning…read moreenough that I feel it needs to be shared. On Monday, July 27th, I called to schedule an alignment for my 2004 GMC Yukon Denali. I was given an appointment for Friday, July 31st at 9:00am and was told the alignment would take about an hour. When I dropped my vehicle off Friday morning, I explained to the worker that I had work from 11:30am-5:15pm and that I would not be able to answer my phone while I was working. Since the vehicle was dropped off at 9:00am and I was told the alignment would take about an hour, I expected there would be enough time for the service to be completed before I had to leave for work. I didn't mind if the vehicle stayed there for the day as long as I could pick it up afterward, but I was not expecting it to take all day. I was expecting to pay at drop-off so the keys could be left in the lockbox after hours if needed, but instead I was told I would receive a payment link online. I did not receive a text confirming my vehicle was ready along with the payment link until 2:53pm, well into my work shift. I had already explained that I would not be available to respond. They then called me at 3:40pm and again at 4:05pm, despite knowing I was at work and unable to answer. After reviewing the invoice, I noticed an additional $20.64 charge for adding oil because the vehicle was reportedly 1.5 quarts low. This was never discussed with me and I never gave approval for oil to be added or for that additional charge. The biggest concern came afterward. After leaving work and going to pick it up, I saw someone who worked there (who I later found out was the business owner) he told me that I did not pay the invoice by 4pm (which I was never told to do so- even after explaining my work situation with the business) and that the vehicle was going to be locked in the garage until Monday. I was later able to locate my vehicle parked in a residential neighborhood near the business owners house (which 2 miles from the business) after I was told multiple times that my vehicle was locked safely inside the garage. I was able to contact the owner from a mutual friend and he agreed to meet Saturday August 1st (they are closed for the weekend) for me to pick up my vehicle if I payed the payment link beforehand . Because I wanted my vehicle returned, I paid the invoice, including the unauthorized additional charge, even though I had intended to discuss it first. The following morning, Saturday, August 1st, I went to speak with the owner directly he arrived at the shop driving my vehicle. When I asked where my vehicle had actually been kept and why I was told it was in the garage. The business owner said it was actually parked at their storage lot and when I asked the location he repeatedly told me it was "none of my business." Instead of addressing my concerns, he became defensive and dismissive. I also noticed that the vehicle had been moved while it was in their possession. I reset my trip meter when I get gas and documented the mileage before dropping the vehicle off. When I dropped it off Friday, July 31st, the trip meter showed 47 miles. When I picked it up Saturday, August 1st, it showed 56 miles, which is an additional 9 miles. This raised additional concerns about how my vehicle was being handled while it was not in my possession. My concerns are not just about the alignment itself, they are about communication, transparency, additional charges that were never approved, and how customer vehicles are handled after hours. I have photo and video documentation of our conversation in person and the GPS data supporting my concerns regarding where my vehicle was located and the circumstances surrounding this situation. Additionally, I've filed a report and submitted this information to the Bureau of Automotive Repair. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Burrough & Sons Automotive
