The entirety of the restaurant is very cute, kind of old fashioned. From the bright pink outside to the old tables and booths inside, we really liked the ambiance. The food was very good, they had a huge menu so it was a little difficult what to pick. We had the chicken and waffles which I heard were amazing. They didn't disappoint. We also had the Teriyaki Salmon, Chili Bowl, and bucket of hand cut fries. I would recommend the chili for sure. Our waitress was very nice and patient with us. She had some good recommendations and checked on us quite often. Now to the reason I gave them a "3 STAR" rating. When we got the bill it was more than I thought it would be. I looked closer and noticed they added an 18% automatic gratuity which was a surprise. Did not read it on the menu or told by our waitress. On top of that the tip is calculated after tax which I'm not sure why that is. I am not against tipping but being forced to tip I am against. Came here around 5:30-6 on a Tuesday. It was dead. The service was good. The menu is huge.... So many options that I couldn't think straight lol I ended up getting the spaghetti and meatballs. The portion was huge. It was delicious though. Definitely could feed two people. I think this is more of a breakfast place. But it's got Barbie vibes and I loved it for that. I honestly don't know why Big Pink is sitting at a 3.5-star rating! My wife and I stayed across the street at Blanc Kara and decided to just walk across instead of making our way into the heart of Miami Beach via the Trolley. My first impressions of the facility were very positive. Nice decor. Very clean. Very spacious! We opted to sit inside, but were seated right next to a window so we got the benefit of a view with air conditioning! :-) Our waitress greeted us promptly and took our drink orders, coffee, and water for each. The cups are huge! I probably could have used a check on my coffee refill a little earlier than I got, but it wasn't horrendous. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was absolutely delicious! It comes with breakfast potatoes that were served/cooked with pico and they were very tasty as well. My wife ordered the grilled veggie and brie omelette and she also enjoyed her choice. She added the chicken sausage and said it was some of the best she's ever had. As I like to do, I'll finish with comments about the service. It was not bad by any stretch, but I would have liked our waitress to check in with us a bit more than she did. There is a fine line between being attentive and annoying, but we did see her on her phone when our coffee cups were empty and that really irritates me. In fact, when I started this review, I had it rated at five stars but reflecting on that one fact made me change it to a four. If I am a business owner, especially of a restaurant, these dad gum phones are going in a lock box when someone clocks in and they don't see it again until they clock out (break, or off shift)! I don't know if management will take heed of my phone suggestion as I think these Gen Z kids actually pass out if you take away their pop, crackle, and Snapchat devices for a few hours, but it would improve the pace of service. I came to the Big Pink for a late dinner on a Sunday night and was promptly seated in one of their retro-looking booths. The menu was HUGE, and we definitely did not feel rushed trying to decide what to eat. I ordered an Oreo Milkshake and the Salmon Teriyaki Wrap. The oreo milkshake was overflowing with whip cream and came with a cherry on top which was a nice touch. The shake was thick and creamy and everything I've ever dreamed of. While it was a little more on the pricier side (close to $15 I believe) there was definitely enough to share with another person as it came with an overflow cup. The Salmon Teriyaki Wrap was HUGE and I was stuffed by the end of it. The wasabi mayo was tasteful and not too spicy but added a lot to the flavor profile of the dish. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the potato chips that came with it as a side were freshly fried and tasty. Big Pink definitely lives up to it's name as every dish my party ordered was HUGE. I think Big Pink is one of the more affordable restaurants outside of the fast food restaurants in Miami Beach and I highly recommend it for families looking for a hardy meal after a long day on the beach. I finally got a Big Pink initiation! My friends and I put our names on the waiting list and stood in line for a half hour, which is pretty much the only way to get a table here. Luckily, there is shade along the outside of the restaurant, so it isn't too excruciating to wait. Much of the line also smokes and vapes weed while waiting; who knows, maybe it's the best way to pass the waiting time. I get why there's always a line at all hours at this place, besides its proximity to Ocean Drive and the beach and occasional celebrity sitings. The menu is crazy huge, offering all day breakfast and brunch items with eggs any way you'd like, salads, sandwiches, burgers, dinner plates and a full bar with your standard beers and wines and original cocktails and give-no-hoots fishbowls. It's creative diner food seriously providing something for every person. You can nurse a hangover and get turnt at the same time; it's brilliant. I got the Pinky's Hollywood Breakfast, which is a variation of an Eggs Benedict on polenta fries. There were generous helpings of crispy, thick cut bacon, tender spinach, perfectly runny poached eggs and creamy cheese sauce piled on thick polenta fries. The fries were more logs that were crispy on the outside and hefty on the inside, providing a thick and flat base for everything else. I had half of the dish and took the rest with me, because that is one does in this place, not finish your food because there's a ton of it. I had a few bites of my friend's insanely huge nachos and every chip of it was generously topped with cheese, guacamole, chili beans, pickled jalapeños, sour cream and/or tomatoes. Next we had the the 3 egg combo mine came out correctly however my cousins came out wrong. She ordered the breakfast sandwich they gave us two of the same of what I had ordered, it took us almost 10 minutes to get our waitress and have it corrected at first The waitress said she cause get us a bagel and she could make it herself but the waitress than returned and said she needed her manager to see the messed up dish. After a few minutes the correct food was delivered. This large pink building has a lot of heart! A friend I was travelling with was raving about this spot so we went in for breakfast during our trip and I was not disappointed. I've reviewed before and my opinion hasn't hanged much. I still enjoy Big Pink. Parking on street possible if you can find a space but there is a lot next door where the few is $20 until 10pm. Place is packed in the morning for breakfast but starts to taper off during lunch. Menu is extensive for all meals so you should be able to find something you like. I usually order the breakfast burrito (which is great but would be awesome if it had chorizo as a meat option), the biscuit with whipped honey butter and my hubby gets the chicken and waffle or waffle combo. We're never disappointed and while we think we're gonna order something different (because so much in the menu looks good) we're excited about these delights. I also tried the peach mimosa (actually I had two and wanted three!) which was excellent. I won't order the traditional mimosa anymore when I come to Big Pink. Try it and leave a review. What a great find this was, and really close to my hotel. Too bad they didn't have a website to browse the menu. But, the menu is extensive. If you can't find something you would like from this menu, then I feel sorry for you. Breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, entrees. It's all there. I was in town for the Orange Bowl and I wanted to get something fulfilling that would tie me over during the game, while also have something left over to eat, after the game as I knew I would be getting back late. The smoked salmon club caught my eye right away. So, I jumped on ordering that. However, it wasn't what I thought it was going to be. But that's ok. I thought this was going to be cooked salmon, but it was actually, raw, similar to lox. However, it was still good. It was your typical club with mayo, cheese avocado and tomato and of course the smoked salmon. The portion was perfect, which allowed me to save the other half for later. It was accompanied by house made chips. These were very good. The perfect crisp and thickness. I saved some of these too. Only 2 negative things. The host seemed like it was a bother when I asked if I could sit outside (it was a beautiful day, btw). And, I ordered a bottled beer with my meal, with an accompanying chilled glass.
