Craving shrimp and grits so I decided to give the place a try as a close by option. Called ahead to make sure it was available. The call taker said she wasn't familiar with a shrimp & grits but that they did have didn't have a NOLA shrimp & polenta on the menu. Tomato/Tomahto.... I placed the takeaway order. Upon arrival the tab was $14 and some change. After a few moments the ordered was handed to me in a bag with no napkins or utensils. I looked inside & looked at the hostess who took a call and ignored my perplexed glance. Ughhhhh...such a lackluster experience. Nonetheless I get home only to discover a container of oil! Not sauce, OIL! Shocked and appalled, I placed it in compost. Received the aluminum container and carried on with the day. Sigh, ~Christy

Really enjoyed my dinner with my husband at Big Sky. This place delivers high quality at reasonable price point. My husband and I shared several dishes -- mussels, pot roast, soup sampler, beet salad. All were delicious. I loved getting to try three soups with one dish, for me the tomato soup was the best but all three were good. Mussels came in a delicious sauce with bread. Beet salad was the weakest in my opinion. Pot roast was flavorful and tender. Service was a little slow but overall good.

I've been pretty lucky lately, and have been hitting 5 star places, one after another. Big Sky Cafe was one of them. Came here with a group of 8 women before a play at The Rep. Our server asked if we were seeing a play, and when we said yes, she kept us on track, so we weren't late. The food was FABULOUS and the cocktail I got, with the waitress's suggestion, was extremely good. We were seated at a large round table which made conversation easy and enjoyable. It was a lovely meal in a lovely place.

What a pleasant surprise! This spot far exceeded expectations. We decided to go heavy on the appetizers and I'm so glad we did, every single dish was delicious. We came in without big expectations, and it ended up being one of those meals you can't stop talking about on the way home. We'll definitely be back, next time for round two of the appetizer dinner.

Our first time at restaurant. The restaurant is tucked away towards the end of the street. Arrived around 7:45pm on a rainy Thursday evening. Restaurant wasn't crowded so they seated everyone in one section. The restaurant has an eclectic 90's vibe which was cool. We started with soup and we shared the Ozark Forest Mushroom and Asparagus Soup and the Chilled Roast Beet with Black Bean Soups. I enjoyed the flavors of the Ozark soup. It had lemon and arugula. The soup was brothy with a lot of depth. The beet soup surprised me on how great it tasted. The soup was creamy and it had goat cheese crème on top which added to the richness of the soup. Then we shared the Big Sky Cheddar Burger cook medium. The burger came with a brioche bun which was slightly toasted. The burger meat was tender and flavorful. Jim was our server and he did an excellent job and we appreciated his guidance with ordering.

Big Sky is delicious. We've been going here for years, and our family knows the owners. We recently catered their Pot Roast, Cauliflower Au Gratin and a few other sides for a holiday celebration. They were delicious! Highly recommend this place!

Overall, the food was fine but the service seemed disorganized. We had a reservation to sit outside and got seated at a table in the front of the building. Wasn't until later that we realized that we had the only chairs without seat pads. Our server came by to take our order, and at the end to drop off the bill. In between, we ran it of water and I went in to ask for more. Multiple servers walked by and seemed to not notice that we needed anything. After asking at the front, I was told that our server was delayed because of a credit card issue? The food was fine. Not large portions, not anything amazing. For the cost, it was just fine. I asked my wife what she thought and she had the same response. No reason to go back, especially with the way the service was.

It was a Saturday around 11:00ish. Lots of reviews and lots with 3, 4, an 5 stars so was a little weirded out that there were only a few cars in the lot. We decided to go in anyway based on the reviews and thought maybe there was parking g elsewhere we couldn't see Entered and the place was fairly empty. The woman covering the hostess stand asked if we had a reservation. We did not. Strange as there were about 4 tables with diners. I went back later and read through some reviews and others had mentioned this, too. So, dining room was pretty empty and we were seated at a table in the middle of the room that was separated from another seated table by a pole. We were SO uncomfortable! I go to lots of places with community tables and I'm fine with that but when it's expected. This was not a community table and we were so close to the other table it was as if we were dining with them. I don't get this at all. Server was nice, she made recommendations. Food. I got the recommended Big Sky Benedict with potatoes. Potatoes were ok, kind of dry. The Benedict was perplexing. The salmon kind of melted on a biscuit and both were warm, the poached egg on top was ice cold. I was stumped but felt like the egg had to be cold on purpose. I didn't like it. The horseradish hollandaide was good but the cold eggs just put me off. Just an overall strange experience.

The most amazing thing on this menu hands down is the gruyere and spinach grilled cheese and tomato soup - ugh its amazing. Cut into 4 small triangles. Perfect for sharing and they give the perfect amount of soup for dipping! We came for happy hour just in time for it to start (which i recommend because it filled up quick!) I liked the beet pesto dip with crackers as well but honestly i'd rather just get another grilled cheese. Their special $7 happy hour menu was good - some items were listed "$7+1" on the menu which was confusing. Like just say $8 - this is happy hour and i am on my second drink i cant do math right now lol The service was awesome - I ordered a drink that was not my vibe after a few sips and when i told our waitress she brought me a new fall sangria and didnt even charge me for the previous drink! The sangria was delicious btw. Definitely check this place out they have so many amazing options on their menu and their happy hour has great options!

OpenTable showed a reservation available here, so we finally decided to give it a try--and we're so glad we did. Everything was fantastic. I started with the Green Turtle cocktail, made with Broker's Gin, cucumber, and basil, while my wife enjoyed a glass of Friulano. We opted to share several small plates, which turned out to be the perfect choice. We started with the Brussels sprouts and the goat cheese with bread, both excellent. I also had a cup of the chowder, which may have been my favorite thing of the entire meal. My wife ordered the nightly salad special with tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, and balsamic dressing, and it was fresh and delicious. We considered ordering the flatbread as well, but by the time we finished everything else, we were completely stuffed. The service was spot-on from start to finish, the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and everything was very reasonably priced. We're already looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu.

We're not regulars by any stretch of the imagination, but we've been here a number of times over the years. Sometimes it's just my husband and me, sometimes family members join us, and we've brought friends here as well. Nobody has ever not been happy they came here! We had a reservation and were greeted and seated right away. They have a big blackboard where they write the special drinks of the day, so I always have to check that out! They have small plates and entrees there. We almost always do all small plates. The exception is the shrimp and grits because we really like it! This time we did all small plates. The stuffed portabellini mushrooms were a newer menu item and they were SO good! I could have ordered more of those and been fine without anything else! Our next favorite was the oven baked goat cheese. We literally get it every time we come here and it's always delicious. Then we had the Nashville Chicken Sliders. They're good, but nothing super special. Our last item was the short rib street tacos. I'll just say we won't order them again. They weren't bad, but they were lacking in flavor. My cocktail was from the specials list. It was the Bitter Bonfire - made with mezcal - and it was so good! I think my husband had a Manhattan. We will, of course, be back again!

Six pm on a Tuesday, the bar was not busy. We asked server if we could sit at a table that had not been cleared since all the other tables in the area had "reserved" signs on them. The server told us "you can when I get to clearing it" so we sat at the bar understanding that it wasn't going to be any time soon. Fine, no big deal. The bartender wasn't too friendly, but again not a big deal- until the last person ordering asked for a chocolate martini. Nope. He couldn't do it- something about it wouldn't be good, then that he didn't have the ingredients. Fair enough but his delivery was super rude. The person ordering doesn't drink much else, so looked at the menu and settled on a modified espresso martini. Everyone else was drinking wine- all was good. We let him know we were going to be splitting the bill 4 ways. He came back and we ordered 4 small plates to share to start- but forgot to ask for fries- we tried 3 times to get his attention- fourth time was the charm when he brought plates and silverware to us. The food was good, that's the saving grace for this review. The server came back around to let us know the table was ready halfway through our first round of food. We already knew the employees weren't going to get any nicer if we asked to move, so we stayed put. A couple sat down next to us and the bartender fawned all over them- brought the manager out twice to meet with them as well. We ordered more food. But he never got friendlier or more attentive to our group- we didn't take it personally especially when two other men sat down next to us and he also treated them with disdain. We flagged him down when we were done and asked again to split the bill evenly. He muttered something the said something else about already having separate checks for our drinks. He came back with the split the food evenly besides our drinks- fine. We all agreed this wasn't good service - but we're not going to not tip him! We all tipped between 15-20%. As we walked to the door, we saw him look at each of the receipts, then threw down the booklets. The whole restaurant turned. We waited for him to look at us at the door- But he didn't. He acted like a child. And you know who's Wales around the bar to pick up the booklets? The server who gave us attitude first. Felt bad for her. Will never be back.

The bar itself is super stylish, really well decorated, and has this chill vibe during the day. I had a couple of cocktails and also grabbed the Italian flatbread, which was perfect for a light bite. Definitely planning on going back. If you're looking for a spot with great views and a relaxed atmosphere, High Bar is a must-try.

My review focuses on the event aspect since that's my only experience so far, but I am sad to say…read morethat I wasn't super impressed by the food or drinks. The space itself is very chic and modern. Our event was on a patio on an extremely hot and humid day. While the idea of the glass ceilings is nice to let in the natural light, it unfortunately made me feel like I was roasting in a greenhouse with the sun coming in - the fans didnt do much for air movement and unfortunately there was just no breeze that day so the open balcony didnt help! I also found the chairs to be very uncomfortable. They are deep and may be comfortable for a tall man, but for a women of average height, you cant sit back in the chair without your legs sticking out straight like a child so you have to sit forward on the edge of the seat and try not to slump. I ordered the Forest Park Fizz which was just ok. The charcuterie board was suffering from being in the heat so I cant fault them for that, but the beef filled pastries and the risotto balls were both pretty lame. I would come back to try a different drink and something else from the menu but definitely not on a super hot & humid day!

I was in luck and found a spot on the far side and just walked up a little hill in the lot and there was a back entrance! Nice! I was greeted with a smile and led to a table near the front window, lots of tables occupied during lunch on a Friday. Cozy space with lots of bright light. I decided to go with Drunken Noodle with chicken as I always do if they offer it, I asked if I could add tomato and she indicated yes. She asked me what spice level I wanted and I indicated I usually go with 3 and she recommended 2 and I took her advice. The order came out pretty quick and I was glad I went with her recommended spice level of 2 as I think 3 would have been too much for me. The dish was flavorful and had the added tomatoes. Note if you order and addition the charge for me was 0.75 extra. I took my extra home to enjoy again. Small, bright space, friendly staff, good food. And you can enter from the back! Lost my pic of my dish, darn.

I went here on a Saturday night…read more The ambiance and the style of people were ALL beautiful. The loud DJ music didn't make sense giving that there wasn't a party happening or a dance floor available for people to dance. Because of this, conversations were difficult to have with a whole table. It makes sense if you're on an intimate date and sitting right next to the person, so you can whisper in each other's ears. However, if you're with a full party of people at a table then you'll find yourself almost yelling across the table or even to the person right next to you just to be heard. I didn't order any food but my friends had some desserts when I arrived. The key lime pie which looked like a traditional cheesecake & the Kit Kat dessert which looked like squares of fudge with some crunchy stuff on top that resembled slivered almonds. Both desserts looked delicious. The names of the desserts just didn't align with arrived. NEITHER tasted like what they were called. I ordered Tequila and orange juice. BEFORE completing my order, I tripled check the price with the waitress who was serving us that night. She told me that the tequila was $12. I was confused because a lot of the drink menu started at $15. She then reassured me it was $12 and explained "it's because we don't charge for chasers. Just for the liquor". Okay, cool. I handed her my card, paid for the drink, and closed my tab. Later, my friend decided we all get a round of shots which I later found out her friend paid for. However, the server charged me AGAIN for my ONE drink AND for the shot which was $11. When I looked at my receipt it showed $39. This was for an $11 shot AND my ONE drink where I was actually charged $19. When I asked the server about it she kept insisting she "never" discussed price with me. (MAYBE if the music weren't so loud, hmmm) We def discussed price. I shut my conversation down with her and began complaining to someone within my party about what happened. The server then kept jumping in our conversation to defend the "we never discussed pricing" lies. We did. I was charged for my ONE drink TWICE and for the SHOT that someone else paid for. ALSO, after 9pm, this place charges a $10 entrance fee. You have to pay to go to a restaurant that's not even really giving club vibes or even offering anything special that another restaurant/bar is offering (food, drinks, music). I paid it ONLY because of my friend's birthday. Will I go here again? Probably not. I'm plant based and don't really drink alcohol much. It gives college kids vibes and date night vibes,
