Charlie and Cameron are the greatest. They helped make a difficult move very fun and seamless. My sister was moving out of a very uptight building that required deposits and had strict time frames and these guys made it seem so easy. They stuck to their time frame and got everything wrapped and padded, down an elevator and all the way into their truck on the street, not to mention it was SO hot that day. These guys helped me and my family move over a year ago. That's how much of an impact they made. Moving is stressful as is. I originally had other movers scheduled early one morning, and had to be out of my apartment by the end of the day (which they knew!) but they ghosted us. I called 5 other moving companies to see if they could come out same day, and none of them had an opening. First time we had ever hired movers and we are SO glad we did. Charlie was very responsive and professional when we first reached out-many other companies didn't even respond at all! We knew we had to go with them. We couldn't believe how fast and efficient they were, even with super heavy furniture- but probably because these dudes are pure muscle beasts. No joke-in comparison I need to work on my deadlifts and drink 50 protein shakes a day to match their strength. They wrapped all the furniture very securely and paid extra attention to detail to make sure everything was protected. They put our bed frame back together too. Not only that, they did not even slow down while moving us in 105 degree heat. Again, these muscle dudes are incredible and we are so grateful for their help. NOWAY could we have done it without them. They were priced fairly, super friendly and funny too. While we are so happy we don't have to move any time soon again, we will DEFINITELY use their company again in the future and will recommend them to everyone. We were last minute packers & movers & had to change our moving date and BOY I am so glad BIG TIME MOVERS came all the way out here to help us move our belongings white glove service as well. They had a job early that morning as well & still came out to do business regardless how far out the drive was and how tired they all were from the previous job done they had no complaints whatsoever but to help make it easier on us to get our things into that truck! We just hired them for our move and they were absolutely wonderful! We had a full house, so not an easy task. They had 3 guys come out and they were meticulous about taking care of our stuff and making sure everything was safe and secure. Where do I begin... these guys are the best! I reached out A DAY before I needed to do a big move 3 hours away moving an entire 2 bedroom apartment. I pinched a nerve in my neck and could not really do the move or help much and I am SO GLAD we hired Charlie, Cameron, and the team at Big Time Movers. They were great with my wife and 3 kids and I was so grateful with how hard and quickly they were working and moving to get things done as quick as possible. This was the first time in my life I had to hire movers and I can confidently say that in the future if I need to move again they will be my first call. I reached out to other companies and got mostly quotes higher, a couple lower, but they all felt so "corporate" and I still get random calls from out of state area codes trying to give me quotes and get my business just from filling out a couple of free quote things from a couple companies that I thought were local, but I guess were these national big "broker" companies, it was just so impersonal. The guys at Big Time Movers are personable, funny, solid guys that will go the extra mile and not try to take longer to get more money per hour. It was honestly refreshing and gave me a sense of comfort and ease about the whole move that was worth every penny. For instance, a couch couldn't fit through the door at my new place and they lifted up through the balcony in the front of the condo into the living room! It was amazing! I've been waiting to write this review since Nov 2020. I had to wait until we were paid back for the damage they caused. I can say they worked a very long day and got everything done in one trip. They were nice overall but one brother did have backhanded comments throughout the day and did not always listen to me when directing him on what needed packing. I caught him many times packing items I said didn't need packing. When it came to pantry items I found many soft items being squished/ruined by heavier items when I unpacked after the move. The tape they used was very cheap and was peeling off. They reused many old boxes and I am not sure if they charged us for them as new boxes. I paid an extra $200 for their damage insurance that would cover the full cost of anything they broke and I spoke extensively about our valuables and putting a lot of focus on my husband's collectible statues that are valued from $600 - $2000 each. I was told, "Don't worry I will take great care of your things. We are extremely good at what we do, we are very careful, you're in good hands. Expect the best because that's what you're getting. You'll see". One important note, we were told that whatever we packed ourselves would be disqualified from the extra damage insurance I paid for. So they had to pack all of the collectable statues. If we packed them and they were damaged in transport then they would refuse to pay us for the damaged items. Turns out, they still try not to pay. At the start of the move, they pointed out everything to me that had any damage when they were packing so they wouldn't be blamed for any previously damaged items. This made sense to me. I was not told about any damage while they unloaded the truck at our new house. My husband had to leave for work during the unloading. I had thought everything went well and we tipped them very well due to the very long day. Then I was told they broke one of my husband's collectible statues that was worth $1,700 and the owner insisted he was going to fix it. He returned with it at a later date and he had simply tried gluing it which did not last 24hrs. My husband reached out to him so we could file a damage claim since I paid for the extra insurance and was told they could not pay us what we were owed and they would not file a claim to their insurance. He tried to get out of paying for the full value and thought he could just buy a new one but this statue was a limited run item. My husband is kinder than me and agreed to monthly payments till he reached $1700. He still has a broken statue with no replacement. I later found out that they also broke a couple other of his statues but my husband did not want to deal with the owner more than he had to. Lastly, when I went to move our bedroom dresser I saw in the back that a hole had been punched into it. It was new damage done that they hid and did not tell us about. If it was there when they were packing our things they would have shown it to me just like everything else they were pointing out to me. At the end of this move, the amount of damage they did was the same if not more than what we paid them. They are lucky that I was not made aware of all the damage they did to my husband's things as I would have demanded they pay back everything. If you are unable to honor the insurance coverage you are offering, then you should stop providing it as an option. During the unpacking, I saw many things that were packed that should not have been and they were things I specifically said not to pack. They were all items from areas in the house that the brother was working on and so I do not know if he simply ignored my directions, is bad at taking direction, or tried to make the day longer so we had to pay them more in overtime. I know this sounds like a long rant of an angry customer but a truly honest review is deserved. During the hiring, consultation, and moving with this company the interactions were overall good and positive but the end result and how they handled our personal belongings negated all of that for me. I know they are a small business and do not have the resources of a larger company and we picked them because we wanted to help a small business but they need to make sure that their fun does not negatively affect their customers. I'd rather have less fun friendly talk trying to be buddies with me and my husband and more doing a good job and not damaging my property. If you are doing a basic move that does not require them to pack unique/fragile items then I'm sure they will do a good job but it seems when it comes to fragile and delicate items they do not have the proper experience or training to pack things that don't fit nicely in standard boxes. I have since used a different moving company and I can recommend Next Movers. They were fast and professional and no backhanded comments or complaints at all during the move. I had a bad experience with a different company that overcharged me for their movers wasting time and screwing around. Not so With Big Time Movers. I recently hired Big Time Movers to move some furniture a short distance. It was a small move with a couch, some bookcases, a desk and tables. Even though it was a small move, Cameron and his helper handled it all like a big job. They covered everything with blankets and a clingy plastic wrap to keep everything safe from scratches.
