I came to Pako's because they were open on a Sunday and had some time to drop off my clothes. I dropped off a short dress, a blazer and a skirt, which ran me $20.75. Pako's is slightly more expensive than the cleaners I would normally go to, but they did a good job cleaning my clothes - they are pristine. The fact that they are open Sundays and that they accept credit cards is a plus in my book. Downfalls include that parking is tight! The parking lot, which is shared by several other businesses, is small. On Sunday, I had no problem finding a spot. I have never seen a place like this before. Super great service! My husband needed shirts pressed and was able to get it done while we waited, in under 5 minutes! It was fun to watch the guy pressing the clothes. We didn't have anything dry cleaned this time, but they do their stuff on site, and if you get it to them by 11:00 am, they can have it back to you by 5:00 pm! I've been coming to this dry cleaner for almost 5 years. Triny, the owner, and her staff are great only when things go right, and things only go right on very basic material garment. Be warned, never bring ANY fancy clothes here to dry clean. They will blame you brought it in and allow them to clean it without telling you the risk, then guilt you that you know nothing about garment. To be fair, her business was great but has gone downhill throughout the years. (Feel free to click on the review statistics per year for proof) "We all make mistakes, don't we all? You should feel lucky the color of the dress didn't get ruined, but only the tassels." Direct quote from Triny. Call that professionalism. Aside from Customer Service is terrible, expecting customer to be an expert like them is unrealistic. The reason that you have a business is because most customers are not experts so we seek help, not seeking for being insulted. The way Triny runs the business and hiring inexperience staff with poor communication is not sustainable. Personally, she lost me as a customer after recurring bad incidents like this. I genuinely hope she sees all the recent reviews(mostly negative) people write, take the advise, not make the same mistakes, and make a difference. read more

Trini who runs the shop does an excellent job in keeping her customers happy (she's very communicative and realistic - which I appreciate, as opposed to others who over promise things they cannot fulfill). I've been to a number of other alteration shops and i find her prices to be reasonable and her stitching of good quality. Pako's is open late and that is a huge plus for most working folks. While most options in the area have higher prices, Pako's is pretty simple, just like any dry cleaner, except they seem to do everything. This place is always busy and packed. It may not look state-of-the-art at all, but what I see are hard working employees and a great service. I've never received a dirty, damaged or imperfect article of clothing with them. What I do have to say is that their prices could be lower, as I tend to go out to the suburbs for lower prices. For the area, however, it is reasonably priced. Another issue is parking. In many cases I have to double park to drop off or pick up my items. This is because there is a very busy complex with a laundromat and convenient store. Overall, they're a great option for their prices and late hours if you're in West LA. read more

Didn't have the amazing experience others have had. Three out of three items brought in were ruined. The silk, lined drapes shrunk so that the lining now shows at the bottom when hung. The brand new "boyfriend" cashmere sweater I brought back from a special trip overseas that had egg yolk on the front ended up with a large hole in the back. And worst of all, my favorite oversized cardigan (polyester/cotton blend) was shrunk to child-size. I can understand getting 1 item wrong. The drapes should have been easy. Cashmere is so popular, how can you mess that up? Also, 3 of the buttons on the cardigan were replaced with mismatched buttons. The whole transaction: sad. read more

Walk into the my normal dry cleaners this morning and soon as I hit the door my girl TRINY (the owner) yells "NO, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT"!!!!!! She literally made me press my own clothes today for church... If you're on the Westside check her spot out. I love taking my clothes to Pako's. Took them a blazer with a very visible smudge of water-based paint on the arm. When I picked it up, the paint was still there. The guy at the counter didn't acknowledge it, he just went to charge me like everything was fine. When I pointed it out, he said "sorry, it won't come out, but the blazer is clean!" I told him that was like telling a guest in a restaurant "no, your fork isn't dirty, we put it through the dishwasher!" He just said "sorry," charged me anyway, and moved on. When I got home, the paint came out in 30 seconds with a moist cloth. Don't go to Pako's. read more

I move to LA several months ago and tried it because of their amazing hours (open late including Sundays!), great Yelp reviews and excellent prices and specials. I have been HOOKED since my first visit. Their work is customized, on-site, speedy and high quality. The owner personally went through my wife's favorite (expensive!) green dress which had been ruined by stains and managed to get them all out. My shirts and suits are perfectly pressed. I am a regular at the Laundromat next door but never considered stopped into Pako's until recently. I am so impressed- the prices are amazing, they do a great job, and you can't beat the same-day pickup. I quit going to the pricey cleaners in my building at work and now bring everything here. He even managed to salvage a designer purse after a can of Red Bull punctured and emptied itself inside my bag. I work in a restaurant and have to wear white shirts, my shirts get heavily soiled and stained. The staff at Pako's get them sparkling clean at a price half off my old dry cleaner in Brentwood. They are very hands on with the customers and eager to get the results I am looking for. Quite frankly I was paying twice the price and getting lesser results before. My pants got widened at the waist and bust open the very first time I wore them next. Had to take both items elsewhere to redo the work and have not have issues since. The woman working refused to wash items of clothing that had a smear of makeup on them because it seemed too hard and even told me the chemicals they use would make the clothing look used. This is a terribly ineffectual dry cleaners. I've brought them two separate shirts in a row and neither of them were able to be cleaned. The last one I brought in was a brand new white shirt with a tiny bit of foundation on it in right on the chest and they couldn't even get that out. They didn't inform me that they couldn't get it out either. I had to ask them about it. Their response was just a shrug and a halfhearted 'we tried'. This will be the second shirt in a row I'm going to have to replace after bringing to them. If you have any clothes you care about please don't bring them here. They will not give your clothes any attention and will just set the stains in them. read more

Anyway, I had a coat I really needed to get cleaned and had no idea where to go. I looked up a few places and after seeing the reviews for this place I decided to try it out. It's a nice place next to a laundromat. The prices are really great and the service is prompt. I've gone about three times since the first time and my clothes are always ready by the time they say. I honestly have no complaints. The people are so nice and helpful and their work is excellent. I think I found my regular dry cleaning spot (yay). I haven't had any repair work done on my clothes yet, but I'm planning on going in soon to get a button on my coat fixed. read more

I brought my a beautiful designer dress which I had only warn once to have it destroyed by her stesm iron. After picking up my $900 #emanuelungaro dress I immediately noticed the damage. I am certain that the owner was aware of the damages because she saw my number as I was calling several times. I left her several messages and she did not return any of my calls. Conveniently she picked up when I called from my house number. She played it off like she was sp busy, granted that I drove there and saw her laughing with the illegal looking guy that ruined my dress. She apologized over the phone but when I politely confronted her in person she claimed she has never seen me before and after I showed her the receipts she then claimed that she never serviced my dress. This woman is very dishonest and please do not take your valuables things over to her. She is very dishonest. The cleaning is very minimum. You want to best dry cleaners go to the ones at Olympic or national and Sepulveda. This woman is dishonest and she does bad business. If I had the time I would sue her. NEVER go to this cleaners. They lost an expensive skirt of mine and were extremely rude to me. My invoice was never entered into the computer and the employee basically told me sorry I can't find it. The owner then called me hours later screaming at me and offered me 50% of the value of my skirt because I had no receipt of my skirt as if I was at fault - who keeps clothing receipts for years in case the dry cleaners looses their item? read more
