I've passed by Big Wok all the time but never had a chance to try it until recently. Upon entering, the place is very clean and the food looked hot and fresh. We ordered a medium party of chow mein for my fiancés birthday which came out shy of $30. We didn't need to order ahead and it came out fresh it 10 minutes. It fed soo many people and we had leftovers the next day. The chow mein noodles were bouncy and well seasoned. there was also a good amount of veggies in it. I have been on a mission to find a worthwhile Chinese takeout/fast food place and I saw this place had high ratings and was close by where I was at! Parking in the front was tough, I was lucky to find a spot but I'm sure there's street parking in the street next door. I walked in and it was DARK but light at the same time. Very stuffy indoor as well, with some seating but all of them were taken so I had to order and go home to eat. I didn't realized they had less variety, so instead of getting two 3 item combos, I had to change the second to a 2 item combo instead. The dishes were almost gone so I ended up taking the rest while the fresh ones were on the way and since there was a line I didn't want to hold them up. I got chow mein with teriyaki chicken, potato chicken, and mushroom chicken. Then for the other I got white rice with orange chicken and teriyaki chicken. I wanted their char siu pork but it was $2 extra and I thought "what if I didn't like it" so my mind was made up to skip a 3rd item. Another thing I'm not used to was that they added the 3rd item on top of everything. I'm used to the third item being separated but surprised they all fit. Usually the places pack it too full that even 2 items won't close without overflow. They had a POS system instead of the old cash register so that was fancy, I still paid and tipped in cash. But you can also add tip to your total in the touchpad. It took me 10min to drive home and the food was still warm. It did leak a bit (not sure where the sauce came from) but I wish I waited for the fresh batch because the chicken was dry and tough, they all had great flavor other than the texture. read more

This is why you can't always buy the hype on social media. They really sold it well making it look like gigantic plates with a lot of food and flavor. Serving size is OK but it's honestly not that great. It just tasted very salted no flavor. Basically a plate full of salt zero flavor. This is mediocre best and that's being generous. I ordered a 3 item combo. Ordered bbq pork ($2 up charge) orange chicken and teriyaki chicken. BBQ pork had great flavor. The orange chicken was sweet but light flavor than I'm used to for orange chicken but was hot fresh and had a nice crisp to it. The Teriyaki chicken was hot, and not dry. Like others have mentioned, I found this place through their Instagram promotions and decided to give it a shot -- I'm a big Chinese food fan, so it was an easy sell. I ordered a 2-item combo and was happy with the portion sizes overall. The chow mein was solid and on par with other spots I've tried. The teriyaki chicken, unfortunately, came out dry. I also had to try their heavily promoted BBQ pork, though I was a little surprised to see a $2 upcharge for it. Taste-wise it was really good -- super saucy on the outside -- but like the teriyaki chicken, it was dry in the middle. Worth noting: I went about two hours before closing, which might explain the dryness. I'm willing to give it another shot during lunch in hopes the food is fresher then. 3/5 stars -- good flavors, but the execution needs some work. read more

Everything remains the same but the amount of salt. They've slightly reduced the amount of salt in their rice and overall food--which is awesome! It's more balanced now. They do have more veggie options! They have a Special menu and serve tofu, shrimp broccoli with veggies, and other extra items (non veggie) like their fried rice you can choose either beef or chicken too. I don't recall if they have fish options though. They continue to do catering for parties! I had ordered their large tray for 50+ people for an easter party this year. They have two sizes for catering. i had ordered 3 days in advance, set a time I would pick up, and they pulled through. Our party went crazy for their chow mein, fried rice, and orange chicken. If I could afford to, I would go more than just once a month here. Hopefully I get promoted this year and increase my visits to 3x the visits! Lol! Right off the bat, I cannot recommend this place. The pricing is misleading -- a classic bait-and-switch. The menu clearly lists a 3-item combo for $12.89, so that's what I ordered. However, I was charged an extra $2.00 "surcharge" for BBQ pork -- one of the very items they heavily promote in their YouTube ads. This extra charge was not posted anywhere in the store nor mentioned at the counter. It's disappointing and feels deceptive. Transparent pricing should be the bare minimum, especially when advertising specific dishes. read more

The fried rice was moist, chow mien was a little too soft. The bbq pork was cooked well and moist. The kung pao was delicious. So was the broccoli beef. The service was decent. As far as eating in the restaurant, it was really hot inside as there was no air conditioner running, only fans. Gave this place a try as I was feeling some orange chicken but was disappointed. The chow mein was flavorless and noodles tasted old. The fried rice were over cooked and felt off since they tried to mix some veggies and something I cant put my hands on but tasted weird. Orange chicken were not crispy, it was mushy, and oily. Got the broccoli beef and broccoli was the only thing decent. The beef had no flavor and made me wonder what beef it was since it didnt taste or feel like beef. The service was friendly for the short interaction of ordering togo. Not much to say about the place but it was clean and well kept. They give you soo much for the sides. Got the chow mein and 2 sides. 1st side was orange chicken and it was extra crispy which was so good. I just wished the pieces were a bit more bite sized.
