Love Prescott and absolutely LOVE this place! Only 8 tables and five bar seats BUT well worth the wait. Everything is locally sourced. We had a garlic bread, appetizer, Kimchi (I recommend on the side) grilled cheese , BigA burger, and BigA chop salad. All delicious! portions were large. I got the half salad and I couldn't finish it. Weight staff was friendly and service was quick. I'd love to go back and try their dinner menu. Don't miss this place! read more

If you're in Prescott do yourself a favor and have a meal at BiGA. A true gem and incredible place. I went to dinner with some people who already know how great it is. For me, it was my first time. This is a real scratch kitchen with amazing delicious ingredients. It's a small dining room with attentive staff and excellent bartenders. I loved everything I had. Food is grown and sourced from over 10 local farms and businesses including Whipstone Farm, Hassayampa Vineyard and Farm, Broken Horn D Ranch, and so many more. The owners John and Cassie spend their Saturday mornings at the local farmer's market selecting the very best ingredients for each entrée. This place reminds me of farm to table restaurants I've enjoyed in California and it's great to see this emphasis on fresh and local here in AZ. It truly makes a difference in the flavors of the food. The price points of this place are great. Given how high quality the ingredients are, it doesn't feel like you're paying an arm and a leg. They even had a prix fixe dinner for 2 that sounds great: BiGA Supper for Two $59.00 BiGA House Salad, Fresh Baked Bread; Choice of Weekly Fresh Fish OR Herb Marinated Chicken; Organic Volcano Rice OR Savory Bread Pudding; Seasonal Vegetable, BiGA BBQ Sauce; Chocolate Pots de Creme The warm goat cheese dip was sublime. Tried the mocktail for the first time - very nice mojito flavor. The soup of the day was a kale chicken and rice and was excellent with a side salad. On the 4th of July weekend they had a special dessert that was a cream cheese flavored mouse with fresh berry sauce and a gluten free shortbread cookie. Excellent, as usual. read more

WOW THOSE BIGA BURGERS! I was staying at an Airbnb just .2 miles away so we headed here after seeing they had burgers on the menu. It's a small place, and on a Saturday at around 4 they only had room at the bar or patio. They asked if we called ahead, so make sure you call in advance to reserve a table. I heard someone calling and they were offered a table in 30 minutes, so I don't think you need to call too far in advance (except if you have a large party.) I had a hibiscus margarita and it was strong and flavorful, the price was great at $8. We ordered both burgers, the BIGA Burger and the Local Burger, both with Mac and cheese on the side. Soooo tasty! The bread tasted amazing, it must be either homemade or made locally. I'd recommend this spot in Prescott! read more

This place is small make reservations for larger parties but call ahead for smaller ones. We walked in but luckily there was bar seating still available. Friendly staff so nice and helpful. The food was so good, we didn't order allot but what we had was so filling. We started off with the burrata which was great with bread and a tomato type broth. Then we both ordered the cheddar cauliflower soup which was a absolutely one of the best soups I have had. For dessert we had the chocolate pots de crème, it's very rich and was extremely satisfying. This is our new favorite spot! It was so good, we actually ate here twice. The wait staff was very friendly and the timing of the service was impeccable. I'm not one to write reviews- but this place was just so good all around we wanted to make sure that everyone else can enjoy it too and that it gets recognized for the gem it is! We started with the mussels and ginger peach martinis. The drinks were great- very refreshing and not too sweet. The mussels were BOMB. The portion size is huge and this appetizer can easily feed a party of 4. We ordered gluten free bread and it was hands down the best gluten free bread I've ever had. I ordered the Ramona farms chickpea salad with chicken and my husband got the local burger with a side of the Mac n cheese. My salad was , once again, one of the best salads I've eaten. The chicken was cooked perfectly and a good portion size. The star of the salad however was the smoked olives. Oh my gosh, these olives have ruined all other olives for me! I kid you not, do yourself a favor- try these olive's because they are life changing. My husband's burger was fantastic- he even ordered it again the second time we went. My husband is a not usually a fan of "fancy" burgers- he usually gets them plain with just cheese and meat. He absolutely LOVED this burger- with everything on it including the arugula and didn't even add ketchup! The second time we went I tried the Herb marinated chicken club with the gluten free bread. It was great! We decided that this is our new must stop at spot in Prescott and our waitress Melinda was absolutely wonderful- she even got me the recipe for the gluten free bread because I liked it so much. BiGA was a wonderful experience all around- the restaurant itself has a very cool vibe -it is on the smaller side but very well spaced tables and nice eclectic decor featuring some local art. We have been here 4-5 times. When we visit Prescott BiGA is a must. If we lived here full time, i would be here once a week. Restaurant is small and has a cozy vibe. So let me start with the fact that we usually love this place but..... tonight we arrived at 5:30, hubby ordered 2 FULL Smoked olive salads add chicken & an iced tea. We received 2 large bowls w/exactly (could have drawn a line) half of the plate covered with greens & a chicken breast on top, as it was placed the server said "here is your olive salad with chicken split" we made her aware we each wanted a FULL she apologized and went back to get another full w/greens only. We told her "no worries we will start on this" and proceeded to spread it out in the bowl (hence no picture) the server who took our order arrived and said "I ordered 2, that's what you got" okaaaay..... well hubby finished his, I could have finished mine but felt bad for my hungry husband & gave him what I had. BiGA has a really cool vibe, small dining area and super friendly staff. The food...my husband ordered a burger with a side of chile Mac n cheese. He loved it! I ordered a BLTA with a side of chili Mac n cheese. The flavor of the BLTA was delicious, but the bacon was tough and the white toast was too. I won't order the BLTA next time, but we will try this place again! I recommend adding other choices of bread that are not as dry as white (i.e. sourdough or whole grain). read more

I want to go on saying that the sandwich I ordered was delicious. I asked for regular bread instead of Cabata bun . The sandwich was over filled with ingredients. Normally that isn't a reason for concern. But the chicken breast was not sliced to proportions one bite the sandwich fell apart. It was so good that I didn't mind but it was real hard to eat. And there was an over abundance of lettuce. I've never seen so much lettuce on a sandwich. Food was good but the lack of proportion to sandwich made this a uncomfortable dining experience. read more

Stoped into BiGa late last night. This hidden gem was walking distance from a cute place we were having a stay cation at. Very small and charming place. Only a few tables so call ahead if you can. Luckily they were able to accommodate us at a table. The two ladies in there were very friendly and working their butt off. I got the weekly special which was a Cajun shrimp risotto. So good! Shrimp was cooked perfectly and the risotto had so much flavor. Very tasty and hearty meal. Would absolutely order again. My husband got the Rueben sandwich which was loaded and he loved it, said it had great flavor. His side of green chili mac was also very good, creamy and great green chili taste. Wonderful little cafe that's just a tad tucked away. Service was quick and friendly. Started with their local lemon salad which was fantastic, tasty, and a good variety of textures. Main dish was the braised short rib sandwich which was perfect and hit all the spots. The potato salad on the was so good and light and refreshing (which is not really a thing I would've expected). Chose the weekly special "Asian Turkey Burger" and "Biga Burger." Highly recommend both. Also ordered the special "Curry chicken and lentil soup" for later. Came with a loaf of homemade bread. For dessert the "Deconstructed Strawberry Cheesecake" also on special. I love the fact that this place has both hipster style café and old bar scene merged together into a really cool quirky interior of this tiny building. We came in for lunch one day with some coworkers and it almost felt guilty like we were out drinking because of the old local bar feel to this building although in reality there are lots of nice tables set up and we had a really healthy and delicious lunch. So you can pick your style and if you're in the mood for wine and maybe a snack or if you were like me and go mid work day, non-drinking hours and enjoy a lovely lunch instead. My sandwich was massive and so delicious that I literally hurt myself trying to finish it. Highly recommend the spot but be prepared it does get busy in the middle of lunch hour. The parking is a nightmare and the restaurant is tiny, but it's not about you! It's about a cool place with its vibe and you should just go and enjoy it. No Karen's allowed. The food is excellent. I had the vegan meatloaf sandwich and I was wishing it was 4 times as big as the big ass sandwich I got. Mind you, the portion I got was BIG. I just wanted more! And I'm not vegan or vegetarian. This is a little spot you need to find but may miss. It is impressive to say the least with the farm to table fare. Menu changes based on local markets. The food is exquisite to say the least from the burrata, avocado, salads, yellow tail, and bison ribeye you will not be disappointed. Gander in to enjoy a cold beer or nice glass of wine. This place is my favorite lunch spot in northern AZ. I am a traveling salesman, and I am always looking for quick, healthy, and delicious meals. This place has everything. First off, the service here is outstanding. I always sit at the bar and the wait staff is on top of it. I swear my drinks never even get half empty, they are on top of it!! Food also comes out very quick, no matter what I order. Now, the food: It's incredible. I might sound dramatic, but the chopped chicken salad is the best salad I've ever had. The dressing on it is to die for and the chicken marinade is packed with flavors. The ingredients are also very obviously fresh. I've only had the salad and the chicken club because their chicken is just incredible. The parking lot is a little weird if you don't know where you're going, but once you get in, it rocks. The lightning is a bit dark and cozy and I imagine it's an awesome setting for a dinner date or a casual night out. I'm always impressed by BIGA and I couldn't recommend it enough. I look forward to eating lunch here many more times in the future. read more

Passing through town, we stumbled upon this fantastic spot for a late lunch.  You gotta try this place! It's a small, freestanding shop, with 8 tables and a half dozen stools at the bar. It's an adobe-style building with polished cement floor, industrial lighting, unfinished wood tables and metal chairs.  The menu isn't extensive, but is chock full of interesting choices.  We ordered a compressed strawberry salad with chicken, with a roasted avocado appetizer. Our server, Rochelle treated us right. She offered us up a choice between lavash and freshly baked rolls as we sat down. Kept an eye on us as we moved thru the meal and even had the kitchen split the salad for us. Thank you! The lavash was fantastic. Flaky, crisp, buttery and a hint of spices. A delicious (albeit a little too filling) way to keep busy while lunch was cooking. For the appetizer, a halved avocado is artfully plated with puffed quinoa, smoked tomatoes and thin slices of pickled carrots, with a dollop of roasted chili aoili then garnished with a citrus sherry syrup, sunflower seeds and a few sprigs of greens.  Plus toasted baguette. This was outstanding. Each unique ingredient perfectly complemented the others. Creamy avocado, crunchy quinoa, slightly spicy aoili, sweet/tart syrup.  Even though avocado is one of my favorites the other ingredients were so delicious and interesting you almost forget about the avocado.  The compressed strawberry salad is a bed of arugula, shaved fennel, chunks of goat cheese, oven-dried grapes, strawberries, chopped walnuts and then tossed in a white balsamic & strawberry dressing. We opted to add chicken - big chunks of juicy flavorful chicken breast seasoned perfectly.  Another excellent combination of textures and tastes. Not sure what you do to compress a strawberry.... But these were tasty!  The full salad split was plenty for each. Whether you're a local or just passing through this spot needs to be on the itinerary.
