This was the worst service and food. Justine was good when we first arrived but failed to check in with us after most of our food arrived. Had to ask several times about my son's pizza which he did not get until after all of us were done eating. She brought checks to all the tables that came in after us. We went to the lady's that were at the register to ask for our check. Justine and another waitress were less than happy when we asked for the check and wondered why all the other tables around us received their checks. We ordered five pizzas and none of them were good. I have always told my wife how good broasted chicken is since it is not available in Texas, where we are from. I have been hyping up broasted chicken to her for the last 10 years. Two stars because their takeout is very good. I would love to give a more positive review for their dine-in service, but I can't because I received neither. Three families were waiting for close to 15 minutes for seating but we were all actively ignored. One employee simply glared at us. The place was not even that busy. We were sat right away and I was excited after hyping up the group to try a new pizza that I knew they'd love. Well we never got served. We got our drinks after a while. I haven't been here for a few years and was craving their cheese bacon fries like no other. I remembered it being delicious as well as the pizza. After coming back years later, I am not dissapointed. Everything tasted great just as I recalled. I asked for the fries well done and they delivered. The double decker pizza was so good and a small was enough for 3 people. It honestly made my day having dinner here. I'm writing the review a day later and still thinking about those fries. I definitely recommend coming here. 4 people in our party spent $150.00 . It is a pizza place, wide selection for pizza people. Very loud with kids. It appeared they need to hire more servers. Servers running non stop. The first "deck" is your regular pizza with toppings and the second "deck" is another layer of that same pizza. It's quite delish with a good balance of all ingredients. Absolutely the worst experience there. After arriving i needed to use the womans bathroom only to find it out if order. The business posted a sign on the man's bathroom for men women and families. Somehow when Bill's expanded north, they failed to recapture the charm and (dare I say it?) funky atmosphere of the original Bill's in Mundelein. Even with the signature peanut shells on the floor, the Grayslake location is just too shiny and too bright for my tastes. For some reason the pizza just isn't as good either; perhaps the older ovens add some magical element? What you end up with is an average pizza joint frequented by families with pre-teens that would be better off at Chuck E Cheese. read more

We've been going to Bills North for a while now and I have to say, management is not what it used to be. Two out of our last two trips to Bills restaurant only to wait 1.5+ hours to get in order of 2 thin crust pizzas. Be forewarned, do not go to Bills on a busy night (which is most of the time) as you will probably wait as long as we did to get your order. I also overheard a waitress explain to the couple adjacent to our table that the reason why their pizza was delayed is because of the amount of phone orders, slice orders and uber orders. Stopped in around 6:00 tonight with my wife. Not a bad crowed for a Monday night (probably 1/3 full). For those that haven't been there, let me describe the place: The building is fairly new (maybe 10 years old), but built to look like an old north-woods log cabin. Lots of dead animals mounted on the walls (fish, fowl, deer, bear, etc). As you walk in there is a game room off to the right with pinball, and about 8 video games. Each table is given a basket of peanuts and you can throw the shells on the floor (the kids love this). Pizza is the main attraction here, but they have other options such as burgers, and chicken sandwiches. I had a cheese burger and fries. The pizza is very good, everything else is average. Bill's is a good inexpensive place to take your family. Kids love the game room and peanuts. I like the friendly service and reasonable prices. read more

I love Bill's it became my go to after Pat's pizza closed many many years ago I remember my first bites from the original Mundelein location as a kid at my grandmas house and their flavor and quality hasn't change up until recently. While I understand the unfortunate side of inflation costs my biggest gripe is when I ask for a cheese pizza with extra cheese on my pizza, over the past year I never seem to get it... (this is a reoccurring thing) or very rarely do I get it and when I do both my mom and I say now that's a cheese pizza! But this last pizza made me ACTUALLY want to write a review, I know they get busy but attention to detail and quality make me look past the price and order from here than a chain. My pizza was more crust than it was sauce and cheese and if I'm paying for cheese I want the extra cheese. But this pizza wasn't up to the standards I am accustomed to from this establishment, it was way over done the bottom was super dark and crunchy and a noticeable burnt taste, I was not impressed I don't dine in often, but I enjoy the peanut shell crunching floors. It's not too loud even when it's crowded and it still has that nostalgic feel from my childhood. My best friend and I visited here a short while ago and had a great time. All in all I would recommend this place. But the higher score is reflected is off my past experience with this place but I need the quality to be better. read more

Outstanding pizza! Here in Grayslake there are many places to get a pizza. Bill's is superior and perfect to my liking each time. Never a dud, it's always how I request. The staff that answers the phone are well trained and very polite. A very young lady took my last order and she was totally delightful. The delivery was on time and the driver was professional. I've been a fan of Bill's Pub forever it seems. When I was a kid in the 80's I would love when my parents brought me. The arcade was awesome. Now I come to Bills North since it's closer. Pizza has always been great. We do carry out now though, due to peanut allergies. (Not sure why they're still doing peanuts, that's weird to me.) Something changed recently. The crust is super weird. It's like a thick cracker with no taste. I saw the owners other comments saying the crust can come out different, but that can't possibly be the reason. Placed an order over the phone. Told us 30 min. Showed up on time and after some confusion amongst the high school staff they told me that they had a rush and my order would be another 30 min. By the way, there was only one other person in the take out area...where's the rush of people If you make a mistake, own it. the good: server was friendly, some of the food was good- pizza, salad, meatball sandwich were as expected. peanuts on the table are fun. The less good: burger was not good- it's a pre formed patty, overcooked, tasteless, and overcooked (although I would never get a pre formed patty cooked how I ordered -med rare). Fries were cold and mealy. Small menu made me hope that it would be better. Broasted chicken was very overcooked, mom couldn't finish it. The worst- restaurant would not split bill for a multi family seating. I served for years and it's better for everyone if you do this. It's not fun but it's no different than if we came in separately as smaller groups. This means I cannot do business lunches or dinners here and I will not bring a group in again. Making things difficult for your customers to avoid a fairly simple server task is a no- go for me. for the food we got, we could go a bar where we can start our own tabs. Our server even lost our on extra gratuity from several of us because of this too as figuring out amounts was difficult for some in our group. We left feeling frustrated after what was a celebration. Excellent thin-crust pizza, great service too. In Lake County, there are only three pizza places worthy of repeat visits. The original Bill's in Mundelein, Bill's, and one other. The crust is thin and tasty, and I'm not agreeing with the other reviews that say the recipe has changed - I've been eating here since this location opened (it's closer to me than the original location) and have not noticed any changes - it's still awesome. The menu has enough variety that my wife - not much of a pizza lover - has no problem finding a great option while I pig-out on the main attraction. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here! The environment was awesome- not super loud, cool decor, and we got our food/drinks pretty quickly. Our server, Art, was the best. Very attentive and you could tell he was passionate about the food they serve. The wings hit the spot- tender chicken on the inside with a crispy skin served with Franks Red Hot and a house made buttermilk ranch. I don't normally like ranch, but this ranch was AWESOME.
