    Fried Chicken and Waffle

I came here for the first time with my family. We were a party of four for brunch. I got the chicken with waffle dish. Service was excellent. This place was packed with people. A great option for breakfast or brunch and etc.

Came here to celebrate my niece's graduation and it was good. Steak and eggs with a mimosa satisfied the belly. Service was good and when I was there we were able to be seated right away once everyone got there.

I absolutely love the environment of the restaurant. Everyone is really friendly and chatting it up. Which can also be a downside because they aren't as attentive if you need something or trying to get their attention. Our server was really nice and patient with my party. The food was great and I love a brunch place. Parking can fill up quickly and is hidden behind the restaurant. But overall I love this place but it can be really busy

We sat at the bar and had lightning quick and friendly service. The food was very well prepared and good portion for a mini "The One Egg" breakfast. People were super friendly. Clean and inviting restaurant.

Food: Chorizo Omelette and Strawberry Oat Pancake Price: $19 | $14 Overall: We decided to come here with our friends who were visiting from SoCal on a Sunday at 11:30 and it was about a 25-30 minute wait. Once we got seated, ordering and waiting for the food is pretty quick. I decided to share the chorizo omelette which has cheddar cheese, onion, salsa, avocado on top WITH a side of bread and hash browns and lastly, strawberry pancakes with my boyfriend. Everything was standard and tasted yummy; only note is that I wish the hash browns were more crispier. Maybe I need to ask for it to be crispier. Other than that, very solid brunch spot in San Jose!

We come to this location a lot, it is under some apartment buildings and you can find the parking under neath the apartments or on side streets. My boyfriend loves the steak and eggs and they give you a pretty big size steak here which is nice! I tried their seasonal omelette which was described as 4 eggs with ham, chicken, and cheese with hollondaise sauce on top. The hollondaise sauce on top of the omelette was perfect, I loved this omelette! Always use the pepper plant sauce for an added flavor and spice! Altogether has always been a solid spot for good breakfast!

Yummy breakfast spot I've never visited even if they've been around for more than 20 years! We were lucky and got in at 9:10 am on a Saturday--had the terrific banana pancakes and one of the mini Benedict's. Huge menu, fast, courteous service, warm, family friendly atmosphere. If you're looking for a spot to try in the Blossom Hill , Cottle rd area of San Jose, head there!

Typical great service from a neighborhood favorite, but I'm going to have to start sending back dishes that are off. I thought it was a one-off, but we come here often enough and they can't seem to get it right. Benedicts are supposed to have poached eggs with yolk that is runny, not jelly-like. And "extra crispy" has browns are not supposed to be mushy inside. Both have become the norm, sadly.

Rojo Chilaquiles, yum. Spice was just right.

A new spot for us. About 3 locations within San Jose area. Pretty easy to find but hard to park along the street. The building around the corner has free parking and access to the restaurant. The eating area has counter seating and it's very clean. We arrived about 10 am and we're seated right away. Nice variety of meals and some had a special twist to them. Chilaquiles Rojo's were delicious with mild spice. Pancakes fluffy and tasty. The servers were very attentive and friendly. The only con is the restrooms could use some attention. Overall, well worth stopping by.

What's good: Service was great. Our waiter was very attentive and our food came out fast. There were 14 of us on a Sunday and they got us in as quickly as they could. We sat outside shielded from walking traffic. Not too bad. Food was delicious. Huge portions. Love that you can upgrade your toast to pancakes. Any pancakes! I ordered the Corned Beef Hash with Two Eggs. It hit the spot! Seasoned well and not greasy. Eggs were cooked as ordered. The strawberry pancake was lovely. My husband ordered the Chorizo Scramble. I'm gonna assume they were amazing because his plate was wiped clean! My son got the Cookies & Cream pancakes. He devoured that as well. Bathrooms were clean. What's bad? The hash browns were crispy on the outside but not cooked in the center. They offered to redo them but at that point, I was full and I still had a pancake to eat. I like the gesture though. I called to make reservations. They said they do but I have to go on their website. I couldn't find it anywhere. I called back. They directed me to "Post" or "Toast" and said it's on Google or to look again on the website. Nothing. So I called back a 3rd time. At this point, I gave up. Chanced that they would be able to seat us when my large party arrives. When I got there, I discovered that they don't take reservations. I have to check in with a QR code to be added to the waitlist. (Clearly staff doesn't understand this process.)

My friend and I went to grab a bite before watching a movie and I settled for this yogurt and honey parfait. It had granola and strawberries. Very satisfying and tasty. We sat at the bar and the service was excellent. Very busy place but we noticed that it didn't take long for the line to move quickly.

They had some Fanime specials for the con (katsu and egg salad sandwiches, spam musubi), seasonal drinks, of course coffees and teas, and non caffeinated drinks, as well as some food too (heated up pastries, both sweet and savory). There's a restroom with a code and a couple seats and tables with outlets to charge your devices. Service was welcoming and efficient especially after the crowds started to pick up. I got the: 1) Egg Salad Sando: -You can tell these were handmade in store. They had cute washi tape to hold the packaging together. -Solid egg salad sandwich. Slightly sweet white bread and generous amount of egg salad inside the sandwich. Creamy mayo taste that isn't too sour or tart, lots of egg in it. Perfect for an anime con next door. 2) Cappuccino: -I got this no sugar and sugar free and it came out with some pretty latte art. I thought it was mostly ok and boyfriend thought so too, but after several sips and when it was too late since we really had to get to the con, it just became too disgustingly sweet for him and he had to throw it away. 3) Yuzu Fresh Fruit Sparkler: -Yuzu puree with sparkling soda water. -Refreshing and not bad, but even after mixing this was a bit sweeter than what I would have liked and again, in our rush to leave, we couldn't really get this adjusted. I ended up pouring most of it in a water bottle to enjoy later and put in my bag. But ended up not finishing it in the end. Maybe next year I'll try again or just stick to the food stuffs.

Unfortunately, that was the one disappointment. The meat was pretty tough and not nearly as tender as I would have expected, especially considering the overall quality of the restaurant. When walking, we missed the restaurant initially because this place is clearly, a hidden gem, especially being hidden along the nightclub strip. We were blown away by the curated vibes. From the thoughtful decor to The Office being projected on the wall. It felt hip, fresh and refined. We decided to craft our own drinks - Arnold Palmers, his favorite. But they only had sparkling lemonade, which actually made it even better. We shared a salad that had some cooked pears and squash alongside the greens, walnuts, cranberries and blue cheese. I do feel like the cooked sweet elements overpowered the salad with their sweetness and textures a bit. Wondering if a refreshing pear for crunch or more dressing could have brightened it up and provided a salty, sweet balance. I ordered the Short Ribs with a parsnip purée and roasted carrots and it did not disappoint. Everything paired beautifully together, perfectly salted and cooked. I finished the entire plate. (Have not been inside) I ordered the steak chilaquiles, and I'd give them a 8.5/10. The flavors were really good, the sauce was delicious, and I liked the addition of the eggs, avocado, and queso. My only complaint was the steak. I ordered it medium rare, but it came out medium well, a bit dry and was tougher than expected, making it difficult to cut. It was still tasty--just not cooked quite the way I was hoping. The mimosas were good too, a great value. Nothing that really stood out as amazing, but definitely nothing bad about them either--they got the job done. What really elevated the experience was the service. Our server Rebecca was attentive, knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly quick throughout the meal. They checked in at the right times, answered our questions confidently, and made us feel well taken care of without ever being overbearing. Overall, I'd come back, especially to sit on the patio again. With a more tender steak, this meal would've easily been an 8.5 or 9 out of 10!! :)
