    Fried Chicken and Waffle

I came here for the first time with my family. We were a party of four for brunch. I got the chicken with waffle dish. Service was excellent. This place was packed with people. A great option for breakfast or brunch and etc.

Came here to celebrate my niece's graduation and it was good. Steak and eggs with a mimosa satisfied the belly. Service was good and when I was there we were able to be seated right away once everyone got there.

I absolutely love the environment of the restaurant. Everyone is really friendly and chatting it up. Which can also be a downside because they aren't as attentive if you need something or trying to get their attention. Our server was really nice and patient with my party. The food was great and I love a brunch place. Parking can fill up quickly and is hidden behind the restaurant. But overall I love this place but it can be really busy

We sat at the bar and had lightning quick and friendly service. The food was very well prepared and good portion for a mini "The One Egg" breakfast. People were super friendly. Clean and inviting restaurant.

Food: Chorizo Omelette and Strawberry Oat Pancake Price: $19 | $14 Overall: We decided to come here with our friends who were visiting from SoCal on a Sunday at 11:30 and it was about a 25-30 minute wait. Once we got seated, ordering and waiting for the food is pretty quick. I decided to share the chorizo omelette which has cheddar cheese, onion, salsa, avocado on top WITH a side of bread and hash browns and lastly, strawberry pancakes with my boyfriend. Everything was standard and tasted yummy; only note is that I wish the hash browns were more crispier. Maybe I need to ask for it to be crispier. Other than that, very solid brunch spot in San Jose!

We come to this location a lot, it is under some apartment buildings and you can find the parking under neath the apartments or on side streets. My boyfriend loves the steak and eggs and they give you a pretty big size steak here which is nice! I tried their seasonal omelette which was described as 4 eggs with ham, chicken, and cheese with hollondaise sauce on top. The hollondaise sauce on top of the omelette was perfect, I loved this omelette! Always use the pepper plant sauce for an added flavor and spice! Altogether has always been a solid spot for good breakfast!

Yummy breakfast spot I've never visited even if they've been around for more than 20 years! We were lucky and got in at 9:10 am on a Saturday--had the terrific banana pancakes and one of the mini Benedict's. Huge menu, fast, courteous service, warm, family friendly atmosphere. If you're looking for a spot to try in the Blossom Hill , Cottle rd area of San Jose, head there!

Typical great service from a neighborhood favorite, but I'm going to have to start sending back dishes that are off. I thought it was a one-off, but we come here often enough and they can't seem to get it right. Benedicts are supposed to have poached eggs with yolk that is runny, not jelly-like. And "extra crispy" has browns are not supposed to be mushy inside. Both have become the norm, sadly.

Rojo Chilaquiles, yum. Spice was just right.

A new spot for us. About 3 locations within San Jose area. Pretty easy to find but hard to park along the street. The building around the corner has free parking and access to the restaurant. The eating area has counter seating and it's very clean. We arrived about 10 am and we're seated right away. Nice variety of meals and some had a special twist to them. Chilaquiles Rojo's were delicious with mild spice. Pancakes fluffy and tasty. The servers were very attentive and friendly. The only con is the restrooms could use some attention. Overall, well worth stopping by.

My friend and I went to grab a bite before watching a movie and I settled for this yogurt and honey parfait. It had granola and strawberries. Very satisfying and tasty. We sat at the bar and the service was excellent. Very busy place but we noticed that it didn't take long for the line to move quickly.

What's good: Service was great. Our waiter was very attentive and our food came out fast. There were 14 of us on a Sunday and they got us in as quickly as they could. We sat outside shielded from walking traffic. Not too bad. Food was delicious. Huge portions. Love that you can upgrade your toast to pancakes. Any pancakes! I ordered the Corned Beef Hash with Two Eggs. It hit the spot! Seasoned well and not greasy. Eggs were cooked as ordered. The strawberry pancake was lovely. My husband ordered the Chorizo Scramble. I'm gonna assume they were amazing because his plate was wiped clean! My son got the Cookies & Cream pancakes. He devoured that as well. Bathrooms were clean. What's bad? The hash browns were crispy on the outside but not cooked in the center. They offered to redo them but at that point, I was full and I still had a pancake to eat. I like the gesture though. I called to make reservations. They said they do but I have to go on their website. I couldn't find it anywhere. I called back. They directed me to "Post" or "Toast" and said it's on Google or to look again on the website. Nothing. So I called back a 3rd time. At this point, I gave up. Chanced that they would be able to seat us when my large party arrives. When I got there, I discovered that they don't take reservations. I have to check in with a QR code to be added to the waitlist. (Clearly staff doesn't understand this process.)

We were seated right away and got our food quickly. Our coffee was refilled constantly without having to ask. Reliable place for breakfast.

It's like a cross between a western style bbq joint and a middle eastern twist with its meats and food. Turns out, this place is mainly an Afghan restaurant! It's half eatery half a butcher shop for people to come and purchase fresh meats for some home cooking. In fact, I watched a lot of people coming in and ordering meats to go. I ordered their chili lamb kabob which was tender and juicy. It had lots of flavor from the spices but enough to where it wasn't overwhelming. I ordered it on top of a pillow of rice which was fluffy and buttery textured. It was delicious. There are sauce bottles to pair with the meats which is my favorite part. I really liked their white creamy yogurt sauce mixed with their red house chili sauce. It gave my lamb meat so much flavor and some heat. I loved my order and will definitely order two next time. I also want to try their steaks. They take their time grilling their meats so orders can take a short while. It's worth it for sure. No complaints here but I do wish they played some light music in the background for some ambiance. Things can be real quiet in here so it can be awkward dining in. But the birthday girl suggested it, and I'm glad she did. First thing I noticed was the lychee mimosa, which I'd never had before. It comes with a lychee on top, super aesthetically pleasing, and the drink was yummy. We ordered the roti with curry sauce and it reminded me of the ones at Banana Island, which is a huge compliment. The roti was thin and airy, and the yellow curry was thick with that signature bright color and earthy flavor from a heavy turmeric and curry powder base, balanced with creamy coconut milk. I don't normally like calamari, but theirs was very soft and didn't need much chewing. It went really well with the seafood mayo sauce. The pad thai was also good -- they added crispy pork belly, which brought another dimension to an already complex dish with the scrambled egg, tofu, and bean sprouts. The chicken fried rice was solid with all the right Thai flavors: fish sauce, soy sauce, and a touch of sugar. I always order duck mad kee pao whenever I go to a Thai restaurant -- that fiery stir-fry with wide, chewy rice noodles, succulent roasted duck, fresh Thai basil, and crisp vegetables in a rich, savory sauce. I prefer it over pad see ew since it's heavier in flavor and spicier. Theirs delivered. The one miss for me was the crab omelette, which our waitress recommended when we asked. I didn't know what to expect. I've seen this dish on YouTube and know it's a hit in Thailand, and I think it's this restaurant's best seller -- but it ended up being my least favorite. It made me feel very full, probably the combination of rice, egg, and the heavy sauce, and the texture wasn't very complex. It came across as mushy to me. Maybe I just don't know how to appreciate it. Parking may be a problem, so plan for that. Staff was very friendly throughout. My friends got the dirty Thai tea and were jittery afterwards, haha. It was strong!

It was the perfect spot to enjoy the fresh air and made for a really relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant has a great vibe overall, especially if you're looking for an outdoor brunch. (Have not been inside) I ordered the steak chilaquiles, and I'd give them a 8.5/10. The flavors were really good, the sauce was delicious, and I liked the addition of the eggs, avocado, and queso. My only complaint was the steak. I ordered it medium rare, but it came out medium well, a bit dry and was tougher than expected, making it difficult to cut. It was still tasty--just not cooked quite the way I was hoping. The mimosas were good too, a great value. Nothing that really stood out as amazing, but definitely nothing bad about them either--they got the job done. What really elevated the experience was the service. Our server Rebecca was attentive, knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly quick throughout the meal. They checked in at the right times, answered our questions confidently, and made us feel well taken care of without ever being overbearing. Overall, I'd come back, especially to sit on the patio again. With a more tender steak, this meal would've easily been an 8.5 or 9 out of 10!! :)

I don't usually get these but this is a place I would definitely come back to just so I can eat this one specifically because I know it's good. The chicken was tender and not dried out, the waffles had flavor and the proportion was perfect!

It really is more for the vibes and spending time with my friends and family versus the food sometimes. For some reason, this place has always been on my list of to-go brunch places, but I've just never had the chance to go here. After our matcha run, my friend and I decided to go here for brunch. It was around a 45 minute wait today. On their Yelp, appears to be quite the quaint place to to get food and relax. Will definitely be a 4 star for me. Food: Jumbo Crab Bene with seasonal fruit: 4.0/5 This is their fresh lump crab with sliced avocado, whole grain mustard and poached eggs stacked on lightly toasted English muffins, topped with scratch made Hollandaise sauce and garnished with locally sourced microgreens. This is served with either house potatoes or seasonal fruits. The lump crab is actually fresh crab I believe. There are some pieces of the shell that were still in there. I'm honestly not even mad because that's a pretty big indicator that it's the fresh crab meat picked out. The egg is nicely poached with a runny yolk. Hollandaise sauce is quite nice and light. The Dijon mustard was quite strong for me and did overwhelm some of the other flavors on the plate. It does add a nice flavor, but occasionally, it was too much. For the English muffin, it was quite thick, so it felt kind of dry. It's noted to be slightly toasted, but its somewhat hard to tell with the mustard, crab meat, and poached egg on top, which are mainly wet items. Avocado is perfectly ripe. I'm not an avocado person, but this one did it just right for me. The fruits came with blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, apples, cantaloupe, and honeydew. Very refreshing and needed after the savory foods. Philly Steak Sandwich with garlic fries: 4.0/5 This sandwich has grilled steak with peppers, onions, and mushrooms topped with provolone cheese on a toasted baguette with mayo and a light teriyaki drizzle. Will come with either a side of house salad or garlic fries. I really liked how they caramelized the onions and peppers inside of this. There's that additional sweetness from it that works well with the steak and cheese. Very tender meat. The bread also seemed kind of big and just almost dry too. Not too big of a concern given the amount of filling that they give. My friend choose the garlic fries and those were amazing. The cut is just right and the crisp on the outside is just so good. You can taste the garlic, but I could do with even more garlic to it. --------- Quality: Fresh Something I really like is that they use real crab in their jumbo crab bene. You can actually feel the tiny pieces of the shell in it, which usually means its fresh. The food did take a second to come out, but both were piping hot. My friends onions and veggies were quite caramelized, which is nice. Brings out a lot of the flavor component in the sandwich. The fries were actually so good too. I wanted the side of garli fries, but it was convenient that his came with it. Super crispy, nice size, flavor is good. May need a little more fresh garlic, but overall, really good. Price: Reasonable Prices seem reasonable for what they give. Initially, it does lean more on the expensive side, but their portion sizes are larger than your average brunch place. Prices will range from between $18 to $24, with a few outliers. Service: Very sweet workers Very nice service here. Everyone was sweet, greeted us, and checked on us. Our food did take a little longer than some others around us. For us, it was around a 25-30 minute wait after ordering our food. Even the table next to us that were seated after got their food first. The food did come out fresh, so I'm not really complaining. They did let us know and give us little updates about our wait and food though. Ambiance: Classic Brunch Spot The space is nice and looks slightly cramped inside. It was just my friend and I and they gave us a seat right in the corner next to the window. Honestly, probably the best spot for me and the person who seated us also noted that it was his favorite spot in the house. I didn't see much beyond from what was seen by the door. The space looks fairly small, but fit a decent amount of tables with walking space in between still. Always love the open kitchen. It's fun to watch what happens behind the scenes. Location/Parking: Large space It's located right on Saratoga Avenue. There is a Lucky grocery store here, so there is a lot of parking around. We really didn't have any concerns finding a space at all.
