My girlfriend and I swung by Bricks for lunch earlier today after looking up a handful of places in the area. We picked this place because the owner seemed very engaged in their business by responding to numerous reviews already left. We split the margherita pizza which came out perfect! It was thin crust with just the right amount of toppings and the edges were puffy. I was originally going to give Bricks a four star rating, but thinking back on the service I bumped up to a five star rating. Even though it's an order at the counter type restaurant, we were checked on by staff a handful of times during our time there. We will definitely be going back to Bricks in the near future when our pizza cravings kick in again. read more

We had this Pizza catered into our office. Knowing it's catering the expectations are never really high. However I couldn't even finish two pieces of a personal pizza. My jaw hurts from all the chewing of the rubbery dough. Definitely won't recommend we get catering from here again. read more

Finally getting around to posting this review. I really wanted to like this place. ("Yes, there are plenty of pizza joints around, but this one will be different! It's wood fired!") Menu looked great. We placed a to-go order for a BBQ chicken pizza & a prosciutto pizza, and I picked it up. I wish I had opened the boxes to look at it before I left. It was so disappointing! What we got was pizza dough with a sprinkling of toppings. Some slices of the chicken pizza had zero chicken. I wish I thought to take a picture. Maybe they skimped on toppings because it was a take out order? I don't know. But for the cost of the pizzas, we haven't bothered to give it another shot. Maybe someday. read more

We used Bricks for our wedding late night food and WOW was it a hit! The pizza was delicious and all of our guests really enjoyed it. We were hoping for leftovers, but the food truck was such a hit we ended up running out of pizza! They were able to serve all of our guests quickly, while upholding their high standards. The pizza was crusty and cheese was gooey and delicious. We received so many compliments on the cheese and sausage flavors. Ric was a pleasure to work with and quick to respond/meet our needs. Each guest got a mini personal pizza. We can't wait to go to their storefront to enjoy their pizza more often! Would highly recommend for an event!!! read more

After giving my HONEST opinion on this place, the manager decides to give an angry response and attack me because his place makes inferior food. If he had actually MANAGED his employees into making great pizza's, there would be more positive reviews. But judging from the other reviews, I see that I am not alone in my opinion. A crust that was inedible, 6 itty bitty pieces of CANNED pineapple and 3 raw onion rings on a pizza that you pay EXTRA for AND having your employees make it that way, doesn't seem like you are doing your job. If there was any quality control, this never would have happened. If your employees would check the bottom of the pizza FIRST to make sure it is cooked and have them actually cover the pizza with the extra ingredients that you charge for instead of skimping out, I wouldn't have given this review. Maybe you should look at the decisions YOU make before going after customers feedback. And as for not calling you, when I first ordered this pizza, no one answered the phone. I had to call several times just to get through. And when I came to pick it up, the place only had two sets of people at the tables. It was very empty for it being nighttime. I stand by my original review. Reading the responses from whoever is in charge, the guy is obviously a real d head. Sarcastic, ignorant and worthless responses instead of being helpful and accommodating. If you want real good pizza that is cooked correctly and no smart ass manager, go to Blaze in Berwyn on Cermak. They are the complete opposite of this place. There was so much toppings on my pizza, that I had trouble keeping it on the pizza! Decent pizza. Don't fall for their "2 for $20 Thursdays," it is a masterclass in how not to run a business. Do not create such demand with a great deal that the one sad dude in the corner cannot roll out the dough fast enough, such that you're 10 tickets deep with people waiting more than 20 minutes longer than the 30 they were already waiting, meanwhile you're triaging tickets like a red state during Covid based on how pissed the customer looks. Best gluten free pizza crust ever!!!! I recently started a gluten free diet because of a skin condition and have been trying different gluten free pizza cust and this is by far the best ever, wouldn't have even known that it was gluten free. We got a pepperoni and banana pepper pizza and it was delicious. The staff was friendly, with a clean and cool dining room. I highly recommend it and will be back often. An unexpected surprise. This is the best pizza in town. I've had brick oven pizza all over the US. These guys are doing it right. And it's super fast. Seriously. Order at the counter, grab your fountain drink and find a seat. About a minute later you'll have a hot delicious pizza in front of you. The only thing I'm not fond of is ordering at the counter. Bee there twice, will be back. Tried The Brick and Hawaiian. Both were awesome. For bigger appetites, you'll want your own pizza. read more

Absolutely love this pizza. The crust is soft and chewy but not too thick (and if you like a harder crust you can select an option for them to cook it longer). Amazing on the night you order it when it's fresh and also warms up perfectly the next day in the microwave. As someone who generally hates Chicago style pizza (I love New York style and authentic Italian super-thin style) this pizza is some of my favorite we have found in the area!! It's sort of a mix between the two styles I love - thicker than Italian but thinner than NYC. Love it!! read more

Bricks is great! Laid back but nice atmosphere. Extremely friendly workers, very cool soda dispenser with fun flavorings for the kids (and adults). Small but good beer selection. Food is most important and the pizza is delicious and they are vegan friendly, offering soy cheese. I wish they had a few vegan friendly appetizers but that's ok! Had a catering order for 13 people in Chicago for Noon. The driver showed up 15 early like I asked. It was cheaper than other places I have used in the past and everybody liked the sandwiches I brought. A couple of allergic people who needed a custom sandwich that has been missed up in the past. I will like to say this pizza was very unpleasant to eat . The dough is very hard to chew on . Almost felt like I was giving my jaw a workout . After eating a couple of slices my jaw was soar. Also $80 for three large pizzas seriously? These pizzas ain't even worth the prize . I have never put hot sauce on pizza, but I used it today. On the plate because the pizza wouldn't have held up to the hot sauce. It was like a puddle of tomato sauce. The "jalapeño spinach artichoke dip" was very disappointing. I saw bell pepper, but not jalapeños. read more

Never had a chance to eat their Pizza! Placed an order through Uber Eats. Went on app to check status after promised time had passed.. Discovered that Uber Driver was on a BIKE. Texted Uber Driver - NO RESPONSE! Checked order status and discovered PREPAID ORDER HAD BEEN CANCELLED. Called restaurant to place a new order. I'll give them a 2 since the employees were kind. I know they're new and I wish them luck. But wow, the pizza is so tasteless and has nothing special about it. The wood-fire didn't come into play at all in the pizza. The outer-crust is super big and doughy, with a paper thin soggy center crust base. FYI- don't get toppings because they will slide right off your slice while attempting to eat. The vegetarian pizza looked like slop. Pizza was intended to feed our hardworking theatre troupe without breaking the bank so what a surprise to learn that four 16-inch pizzas came to $165. The price of a Build Your Own with 6 toppings added an additional $21 per pizza. That's hard enough, but since our assistant stage manager ordered online via Doordash, the total bill (including 20% tip) came to $228 for four pizzas! First lesson: Go directly to Billy Bricks' website and avoid Doordash altogether. Second lesson, stick to the simpler pizzas. read more

Came to visit some friends in oak park and decided to check out this new pizza place. The pizza was amazing! We received our pizza pretty quickly and it was both soft and crunchy. Love being able to fold a slice and devour it. We didn't leave a single bite behind. Spinach artichoke dip was delicious as well. The service was great too! Carey was awesome!! We ate here today for lunch and unfortunately I was disappointed. Oak Park needs a pizza place like this but unfortunately this missed the mark big time for me. We ordered three pizzas so we could get a good idea of the different toppings. The crust was TERRIBLE. I can't recall a time at a nicer pizza place like this where the dough was stretched so unevenly and terribly. All three pizzas had the same issue of the dough being absolutely tissue paper thin in the center of the pizza and the outer crust being like 2.5" thick. It was impossible to pull a piece of pizza from the pie without all of the toppings sliding right off because the dough was SO thin. This is such a disappointment because this place isn't exactly cheap & you would expect that they would train their employees better in what is arguably the most important aspect of the pizza- it's foundation! The topping distribution was even and plentiful but all three pizzas had a severe lack of cheese. They honestly had about half the amount of cheese you'd expect from a place like this. I wanted to love this place because the staff was nice except for one rude cashier & it really is a needed spot in Oak Park, but unfortunately I won't be returning. I'm just not willing to pay that much for such a subpart product. read more
