Found this little gem which I absolutely enjoyed every dish I ordered - except beef pie which I thought would be equivalent to beef scallion pancake (my fault). The soup in the pork & crab soup dumpling had an amazing flavor with so much depth to it. I was surprised to see how thin the dumpling skin/wrapper was which I prefer than thick skin. Only time I had a satisfying xiaolongbao was at din tai fung, so I was so glad to find this place which does not require 2~3hr wait. Food ordered: 1. Soup Dumpling (5/5) - This is my favorite Xiao Long Bao ever. The filling it similar to the Pork gyoza but I love it. Dough to filling ratio is perfect and just look at those folds. 2. Pork Gyoza (5/5) - This by itself, is quite filling. I also really enjoyed these since Bing's does have a sesame layer along with the griddled pot sticker side. Dipped in soy sauce or vinegar and my savory palette is satiated. 3. Beef Noodle Soup (2/5) - This is the one dish I would not order again. The noodles and meat were good but the broth just tasted like a saltier water. It could use more flavor in my family's opinion. The non-negotiables are: wonton in chili oil, soy bean noodle (ja jiang Mein), potsticker, xlb, cucumber salad, spicy beef noodle soup. We'd feel robbed of a complete meal if we didn't order these. Pork soup dumpling: 5/5 this came out at the right timing and you have to eat it right away! Once the skin cools down, it becomes hard and loses the delicacy of the dumpling. The dumpling had plenty of yummy soup inside, so watch out when you eat it. Tomato egg noodle: 5/5 they make it absolutely perfectly here. This establishment is paperless. Once you come in and be seated, you've to scan their QR code and you've to order and pay online. Once done, we just have to wait and relax until our orders were served. It didn't take long for our orders to arrive. It was quick and had very minimal contact with the server. Their potstickers are good and cooked right. The size is quite big from the normal potsticker that we usually see. Their 10 Pieces Shrimp & Pork Wonton in Chili is delicious. The chile oil had a kick on the taste and loved the spiciness once you take a bite. Their beef noodle is also good. Once I come back, I'll try their dumpling. Small local business that knows how to serve up great Taiwanese food! I have been coming here for the past few years and quality of food has never changed. Everything is made to order and they even provide their homemade chili oil on the side (which I love to douse on everything). Pork Xiao Long Bao: Thin wrap filled with a spoonful worth of soup! Pork is flavorful but if you put some of that homemade chili oil on top of it and you are in flavor town. Crab Xiao Long Bao: also thinly wrapped filled with a mixture of pork and crab. Crab is noticeable only if you don't put any sauce on top of it. Good to try if you never had. Spicy Beef Noodle Soup: Broth is very rich and beefy. Definitely one of the best XLBs I've had recently! - braised beef noodle soup: not bad. Broth was a bit bland. Noodles was good, though not very chewy if that's what you are looking for. Beef was tender and they weren't too skimpy with the meat which was nice. While eating, I found an ant on one of the bok choys which was unfortunate D: - pot stickers: these potstickers were huge! The pork filling was well seasoned and very juicy, although the bf thought the meat broke too easily. These wasn't the crunchiest, but it was a nice texture change for our meal. - vinegar/chili oil: their vinegar was sweeter and less sour than the ones I usually have at other restaurant, but I actually liked it better this way. Located at the Paseo Padre Shopping Center, Bing's Dumpling is a popular spot to satisfy that XLB craving. We have dined here before and, during this pandemic we're currently in, we have ordered to-go and brought the food to nearby North Gate Community Park to chow down. Pork Soup Dumpling - These XLBs were huge, soupy, and looked superb in their translucent skin. With a generous amount of meat and soup inside, I was so impressed that the wrapper held its own when pinched at the top with a pair of chopsticks. As good as they appeared, they tasted bland. Pass me some salt, please. Better yet, hand me some MSG. The vinegar and ginger helped, but the disappointment remained. Shrimp and Pork Wonton in Chili Oil - It felt more like silly oil, to be honest. No bang, no kick, no magic.... The wonton wrapper was thick and the taste of the filling was not satisfactory. Noodles with Pork in Soybean Sauce - The hand-pulled noodles were excellent! I'll give credit where it is due because the consistency and texture were dowright awesome. Perfectly chewy in every sense of the word. I'll give them high praise for that. But again, let me ask this - what happened to the flavor? Grated cucumber, minced pork, and bean sprouts served on top of the noodles with a pool of oil underneath. I would have been fine with the oil had it been savory. Potsticker - The list just went on and on. It's because of the poorly seasoned pork that's probably used as filling across the board. I did like how they pan-fried the potstickers on their flat side although they burned some of the pieces. Red Bean Bun - Finally something without pork! Updated review after 3 years: Bing's Dumpling was the first restaurant we've been to for indoor dining (BTW Hog Island Oyster in SF was our first outdoor dining experience) since the pandemic started 18 months ago. Its also the first time we brought our toddler inside the restaurant with his own portable, folding booster seat and tray. There were several notable changes in terms of service and layout, all of which is to increase the safety for the customer and the business. 1. All workers are masked, and there is Germ-X hand sanitizer at every tables. 2. Gone are the physical menus. Food orders are made online using QR codes at your table. Payment done via the app as well. Basically, this minimizes interactions between customers and staff. 3. It seems they spaced out the tables further and maybe got rid of some so there's definitely more space. The restaurant was already small to begin with so this is a good physical distancing measure. 4. Paper plates and disposable utensils - except for the beef noodle soups which come in those giant ceramic bowls. What hasn't changed are the excellent food and decent prices. We got our usual favorites: 1. Beef Noodle Soup - braised beef so soft and tender that a toddler with limited teeth will enjoy. Great chewy noodles too 2. Pot Stickers - I've forgotten how big these meat pies were - love the crispy outer sear and juicy pork filling inside. 3. Spicy Cold Cucumbers - A must-have dish at any Northern-Chinese style dumpling place. 4. XLB - Nuff said 5. Steamed Red Bean Buns - Much bigger than I remembered. The hot, sweet bean filling is also a nice treat for toddlers. 6. Wontons in Chili Oil - Probably the only minor letdown. The meat were firmer this time and although the wontons were larger than we remembered, we preferred to have the meat to be softer and juicier. Its also easier to uniformly coat the smaller wontons in that wonderful spicy chili oil. Glad to see that Bing's Dumpling has survived (perhaps thrived) this crazy pandemic. It's possible this restaurant may have looked/felt better pre-pandemic. They are a little under-staffed, tables were hastily wiped and not very clean. They are a mom/pop restaurant serving authentic food, which is a huge plus and worth a try. However, the restaurant still just plops down a stack of paper cups and flimsy paper plates for you to use, which doesn't really promote a good dining experience. The xiao long baos were good - pretty good soup, however, the filling didn't have much taste and bland. The dumpling skins were among the thinnest I've seen, so really good from a texture perspective. But overall, 6.5/10. The other regular dumplings also didn't have a lot of flavor, 6/10. Prices were also not cheap. For a similar price, I would recommend Din Ding Dumpling House - all dishes at least a 8/10 and a much better interior/atmosphere. read more

When we arrived the food was packed and ready to go - excellent service! We ordered several dumpling dishes and noodle dishes. The shrimp and pork dumplings with chili oil and garlic were sooo delicious. The dumpling wrapper had some bite to it, almost Al dente-esque which I really enjoyed. The soybean pork noodle, hot oil pork noodle, and beef noodle soup (not pictured) were all fantastic as well. I enjoy the various dumplings here and always get a bowl of their beef noodle soup to share as well. Unfortunately I don't feel like take out does justice to dim sum. Even if you take it home immediately, it just isn't the same as when eaten indoors. Due to the pandemic and having little babies, I have resorted to not eating indoors but if you are still frequenting indoor restaurants, then by all means, I recommend this spot for dim sum. I've been here about half a dozen times over the last 3 years and always have had a great experience with the food. Pan Fried Beef Pie: super savory. Only sad thing is that it feels like this dish has gotten smaller in size over the past few years. Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup (non spicy): very well seasoned. Not too salty. Bing bing bing! We have a winner! Bing's Dumpling has your hand pulled noodle and dumpling craving covered! This is by far one of the better establishments for hand pulled noodles and dumplings. Their menu is simple; their noodle bowls only vary by the soup and content; their dumplings vary by the fillings. Do try the beef noodle, pork dumplings, and soup dumplings (xiaolongbao). They're staple dishes and will fill you (and maybe a friend or two) up. The staff is patient in collecting your order, quick to serve your food, and helpful in packing your food. It's a relatively small place so you won't have trouble flagging someone down if you need something. They do have an open kitchen in that you can see all the cooking that happens behind the scenes. Enjoy the view, aroma, and sounds of the steamers and boilers as you wait patiently for your feast. When you do get your noodles, you should be served with a pair of scissors. The hand pulled noodles are very long and if you plan on sharing or just want to have an easier time eating them, give them a few snips. Otherwise you can just slurp that single strand of noodle for days (not literally, that'd be silly). In any case, whatever you order, eat if fresh! All their food taste best when hot! Just be careful when slurping that soup from those soup dumplings! Use some of that vinegar too. After you've finished, consider ordering out some of the frozen premade dumplings. After arriving about 30 minutes before lunch service ended, we ordered and shared a few items. Came here after being recommended and I must say, the food didn't disappoint. Ordered the shredded bean curd for the appetizer, the regular XLB, shrimp and pork dumpling, and the braised beef noodle soup. The shredded bean curd and regular XLB are pretty good. If anything I prefer them over Din Ding. The shrimp and pork dumpling was alright. Not what I had in mind shape wise but taste wise it was alright. Apparently they used to be potsticker shaped but it changed as of late? The filling texture seems like it doesn't know whether it wants to be like a shrimp dumpling or siu mai so they blended a shrimp dumpling shape with siu mai texture filling. The braised beef noodle soup isn't as good as QQ Noodle but given that it's lighter, it's definitely good as a comfort meal that isn't over oily or anything. Honestly, I quite liked it. Despite the taste being overall like a 4 out of 5, for what it's worth, cost wise it was wayyy cheaper than Din Ding. Whereas I could burn up to $80 at Din Ding, all this plus my friend's Lanzhou Spicy Noodles it came to a bit over $50. With tips a bit over $60. Still quite a bit cheaper so I think I'll probably be returning to Bing's more often unless I crave the fish dumpling from Din Ding. Just a word of advice there are only a few tables available for outdoor seating so if you come here for that, there may be a bit of a wait. Also, there's a waitress that seems to speak Mandarin for the most part so if you speak Mandarin, you have an advantage. But all in all, enjoyable experience. read more

Hubby and I was meeting my supervisor to drop off some cupcakes and she recommended that we should try Bing's Dumpling since we were meeting her there. My staff recommended this place and said the dumplings were amazing. After a long hike in Fremont, we decided to try it. We called beforehand as it was already 1:15 pm and would take us around 20 min to get there. The place closes at 2 pm. The lady over the phone said that they would be willing to serve us. We arrive there. The hostess told us to order and pay online using the QR code. The orders were placed and in less than 10 minutes, food was ready! They are very quick. Important to note that as people started rolling into the restaurant at around 1:45-1:50 pm, the hostess sat more people but her voice was a bit reluctant to be able to sit more folks. We ordered the XLB, pork and shrimp in hot oil, Chinese greens, noodles with fermented soybean, and the beef pie. The standout dish was the pork and shrimp in hot oil. The dumplings had chunks of shrimp and pork. It was juicy and delicious. XLB was pretty good as well. The other dishes were ok but we've had better. This place was good but if you want GREAT dumplings and noodles, go to Din Ding Dumplings in Fremont. My companion and I prefer the flavor profiles there better. read more

The highlight was definitely the soup dumplings! They were perfect with the right thickness and chewiness of the wrapper and soup amount inside. We also got the custard dumplings and the filling interestingly tasted like oreo filling and not eggy custard. 3/5 for me. The potstickers were pretty decent. They put sesame seeds on the bottom to make the crust crunchier. 4/5 because I think the filling could have been more of a ...fish ball texture?? than a minced meat texture if you know what I mean. One of my favorite dumpling places in this area! Some of the best XLB and every time I come here I'm not disappointed. My favorite go-to orders are the pork and shrimp wonton with chili oil, hot oil spicy pork noodle and of course the pork XLB. The soup inside their XLB is super HOT and they're decently sized too! The pork and shrimp wonton were pretty solid, I like that I could taste the texture of the shrimp and the chili oil is chef's kiss!!! The noodles here have a nice thick and chewy texture so you can't go wrong with ordering a noodle dish! The store is pretty quiet with no music playing, but it's pretty clean and spacious! They serve almost everything from disposable plates and utensils, I think because of COVID. Parking can be a little difficult at times when the 99 Ranch parking lot gets full. First time trying out Bing's Dumpling and I was a little bit disappointed. Ordered over the phone and they were extremely quick to prepare our meal. - Pork Soup Dumplings - I loved how much soup there was in the each XLB but I felt like the meat itself had a weird consistency - a little bit on the grainy side. - Spicy Cucumber - This is one of my favorite dishes of all time and this dish delivered with its flavor! The only thing is that the cucumber didn't really soak up that flavor. - Noodle with Pork in Soybean Sauce - Standard Dan Dan noodles but wish there were a little bit more noodles in the dish. Flavor is very on point though. Overall, an okay meal at Bing's Dumplings. Not very particularly memorable but that's okay. read more
