But it was brought with the meal. The salad was fresh and crisp, with a surprise of a small Peppa dew pepper. Blazing red with a little heat and delicious. Haven't seen them in a restaurant ever. Unfortunately my fish and potatoes were cold, cold and butter congealed. The greens were warm and good I had also ordered the cornbread. It was refreshing to see that it wasn't the usual cake like kind, plus not the ultra sweet kind either. More bread like with a hint of sweetness. Delicious. The fish and potatoes had a nice flavor but unfortunately the cold food spoiled the experience. Since I was a guest of my sister I didn't say anything about the cold food. What a disappointment. Maybe when I return things will be better.

Service, their service has got to be some of the most unfriendliness people in the southeast USA. Not a smile, small talk or even a polite thank you. The service does not check on you. If you want anything you have to ask for it. It also took about 45 minutes to get our food. I really wish the corporate office of Island Wings would shut it down and reopen with new management and new staff. This place has everything to make a fantastic local hang out except friendly staff ! Haley checked in with us often, and after some time she realized we hadn't received our dinner. She went to check on it, and there was a technical issue with their handheld and it hadn't gotten rung in. My husband and I weren't upset because we understand how it is in the restaurant industry, and sometimes technology fails. We didn't ask for a manager, but one came out and spoke to us and apologized, which we appreciated. We received dinner shortly after that, and it was some of the best seafood we've ever had. We were able to snag a couch area on a platform. It was so comfy and we loved the views. A heads up- if you snag a couch like this, kids will get up on the platform and jump off of it. People will step up on the platform and walk extremely close to you. I had to ask a kid to stop throwing sand by us because we were eating our dinner. It was a little chaotic. We were extremely patient and understand, but I could see some people being very upset and annoyed. After ordering, our food came out pretty quick. I started with the coconut grouper bites and they were phenomenal. Light breading, lightly sweat, and flaky. I had the Gulf Grilled Cobia and it was phenomenal. The fish was tender, flaky, and light.
