Where do I start?? I ordered the Palak paneer, samosas and butter naan. What I received was fried to death samosas. Over fried to the point that the samosas were hard as rocks and the stuffing was barely noticeable. Unfortunately, I did not receive the entree I ordered The naan however was very good. There are so many Indian cuisine restaurants in this area that, I won't be coming back.

I was so happy to return after seeing that they had improved their health inspection score. They truly have the best tasting Gobi Manchurian. Unfortunately, as I spooned up the remainder of this delicious dish, the hair that was embedded in what was served to us surfaced. If cleanliness is not a show stopper for you, stop on by!

We went here by recommendation from a friend and we enjoyed it. It was a little warm in the restaurant, we think the air conditioner was broken. The staff was kind and the food came out quickly. I appreciate how rice came with our dishes. The food was piping hot and fresh. We got chicken tikka masala and chicken Manchurian.

Biryani Pot is hands down the best Indian restaurant in San Antonio. As someone who constantly craves authentic Indian food, I've been a loyal customer here for several years, and they have never let me down. While many new restaurants have opened with fancy furniture, lighting, and ambiance, often serving on disposable plates with flies around, Biryani Pot stands out for its consistency and quality every single time. The place may not be flashy, but it's always decent, clean, and most importantly, the AC is always working--which makes dining comfortable. What really makes them shine is their economical and reliable live catering services. I've used them for many events, and they are always open to creating new dishes and ideas, implementing them beautifully. For my mom's birthday party at home, they went above and beyond--everything was made fresh from scratch. The tomato soup was outstanding, the salads (which I usually never crave) were so refreshing, the sandwiches were delicious, the guacamole was spot on, and the fried rice was simply superb. Their focus has always been on customer satisfaction, and it shows in every interaction. No matter how many new restaurants pop up in town, people always come back to Biryani Pot for their party orders and catering needs because they are both economical and consistent. Highly recommend them for both dine-in and catering--you'll never be disappointed! Most of the items posted here were for party order and would not be on the regular menu.

I went again and the service this time was really good! I guess it was a hit or miss. I got the lunch special this time and really enjoyed it. I would come here again and get the lunch special (I believe it is different everyday).

I took my 15 month old daughter here for lunch around 12:30pm on a Tuesday. We were greeted immediately when we walked in and the server got us a high chair. He was extremely friendly and even made my daughter laugh. My daughter LOVES Indian food so I was so excited to bring her here for authentic Indian food. We ordered the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan and it came out very fast. She really loved it and I loved it! We asked for a to go box and they gave me a to go bowl with a lid along with foil for the naan and a to go box and a bag. It was great and nothing spilled on the ride home. I was grateful to the staff for being so accommodating to us since she is a baby and not always the quietest at restaurants. The staff was very kind and the food is amazing. Highly recommend !

Ordered takeout for dinner and it was pretty good! The food was ready within 20 minutes, which is pretty quick. I got the chili paneer, gobi Manchurian, vegetable noodles, and mango lassi. Their chili paneer is absolutely delicious! I give it a 10/10! The spicy flavors were really good and it's mixed with bell peppers and onions and wow that's my favorite dish to order here. The gobi Manchurian was decent, not the best I've had. I think it's better to order it fresh and eat it immediately versus taking it home where it gets soggy. It did have a nice spicy flavor which I liked. I love eating the gobi manchurian with the vegetable noodles (I've been doing it since I was a kid and highly recommend). The noodles here are really tasty with crunchy vegetables mixed in.

I went to Biryani Pot earlier today with some coworkers to celebrate a coworker. It's not too big inside but still large enough for groups. We beat the lunch crowd in so it was not crowded when we got there. We were seated promptly and attended to for the entirety of our lunch. I had onion samosas, chicken biryani, and a chai. The food was really good but spicy! Now, I am a wimp when it comes to spicy so ..... I had a chai after eating and it too was delicious. I also enjoyed the licorice dish after lunch which helps to freshen your mouth. We had a great time, the service was fast and attentive, and the food was great! If you on the northwest side of San Antonio and looking for great Indian food, this is the place!

    Biryani chicken and garlic naan

We got the goat curry ($14), chicken biryani ($14) and garlic naan ($4). We had to wait for 20+ minutes for our food to come out. It was Sunday lunch. The restaurant wasn't that full, but they might have been working on to-go orders. The inside ambiance is home-y. The default spice level is mild/medium. We asked to bump it up one level of spice (still the second spiciest)! It was pretty spicy. We were definitely feeling it after the meal, but it was yummy! The goat curry had a lot of flavor. I liked the white sauce with the chicken biryani. That provided some tanginess and coolness to the spice. The garlic naan was so crispy, you can even see air pockets in it!

    Gongura Mutton with PLASTIC

Found pieces of plastic in my favorite gongura mutton at my go-to Indian spot. Who needs spices when you can have an extra crunch, right? Perfect for those who love a surprise ingredient in their meal. Can't wait to see what they'll add next time--maybe a bolt or two? Highly recommend for adventurous eaters!

One of the friend reported finding worms in food. They reported to owner couple of times but no improvements.
    Piyush S.

Food is not bad but service and attitude is very bad. Most of waiters are doing a master's degree and if you request them something they give a smart ass answer instead of being customer/service oriented. Will definitely not recommend. Friends found worms in food and reported to management couple of times but no improvements.

We were seated right away but it was about 15 mins before someone came to our table to greet us and provide water. Once we ordered the waiter was very attentive. She provided us a palette cleanser (the spoons) which tasted like a lemon spice. It was really nice but had a kick at the end. We also ordered the probiotic appetizer which was gut healthy fermented veg. I wasn't a big fan of it, but my friend loved it. We also ordered the cilantro coconut guacamole and corn tortillas. This was very interesting! I've never had fruit in my guacamole. I loved it. And the corn tortillas were fresh and homemade. Next, I ordered a saffron date golden milk. They offer this hot or chilled. I got the chilled version. This is to die for if I could drink this every day I would. It is very comforting and as you drinking it, you get this like warmth all over. The spices are very balanced and it comes with oat milk so it's creamy. For the meal I order the akaushi beef tacos. Which was Barbacoa over a cashew cream trust with fermented, cabbage, and cilantro. It also comes with a side of salsa. These tacos were very filling and delicious. The flavors pair up so well. I did add some of the gauc to it for a more creamer taste. Overall, the food experience was a 10 out of 10. I am gluten-free and the whole restaurant is 100% gluten-free! They have vegetarian options and from what I could see also dairy free. If you're trying to expand your taste buds, this is definitely a place to try. The only thing I didn't like was the chairs lol the edge of it was so uncomfortable because it was putting pressure into my legs my friend said the same thing with her chair.

The breading actually has flavor, not just crunch. They serve it with a spicy ranch that has a nice kick, plus pickles on top that add a little tang and balance everything out. The mac and cheese was bold. Very seasoned, definitely not bland. It leans more on the saucy side than thick and creamy, with a roux-style texture. For me, it was flavorful but slightly on the salty side. Overall: Really good lunch and absolutely worth trying, especially if you're at the Pearl and want something quick but satisfying.
