Love this place. But for some reason they always mess up my order. I ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Was told it would take 15 mins. No problem. 45 mins later I had to go check up. It was finally done but wrong order. He admitted he made a mistake. Took another 30 mins. Omg Still wrong. It's not like they have an extensive menu for pizza. I understand it happens but really? This is like the third time it's happened. Waiting over an hour for them to mess up my order and then hearing them complain about people ordering pizza. I'm sure they were talking about me. At least wait for me to leave if you want to talk sh*t. I mean it should've been me talking crap about how YOU guys messed up my order. Horrible to be talking about customers anyways. Another delicious treasure inside of the massive Peppermill Resort and casino. I couldn't be any happier with Peppermill Resort many restaurants. Biscotti's fantastic! Assortment food, pastry restaurant and gelato stop has something for everybody. I got a Monte Cristo. Perfect portion of ham and turkey with delicious batter with a huge portion of separate jelly. A classic, done perfectly. Fruit salad salad chopped lovely obviously took time. Not expensive very reasonable massive food amount what can you say, except don't pass this up! read more

If you want gelato, and many flavors of it, this is where you want to go! There are 20 flavors of gelato and sorbet, including sugar-free options. We didn't get photos because there were a lot of people crowded around the case, but they are all out on display. I had strawberry cheesecake gelato, and it was to die for! The person who scooped our gelato was awesome! She was engaging, she was nice, and I have no complaints about her. The person running the register on Monday evening Shortly before closing was rather short with customers! She acted like she didn't want to be there and she was doing her customers a favor by ringing them up! Not the impression that you want when serving a bunch of people that are in town for a convention that have already spent quite a bit to be there, as a lot of the customers there were. To clarify, I am giving five stars for a single dish: the NUEVO HUEVOS RANCHEROS My experience with Biscotti's (located in the smoke-free Tuscany Tower of the Peppermill Resort), and the rest of the menu: breakfast, lunch and dinner are very good - about 3-4 stars for me, but I wanted to especially focus on this inconspicuously listed item under "Eggs and Such" on the Breakfast side of the menu. I order this once a year and it never fails to put me into culinary nirvana... Two eggs any style (highly suggest over-easy) On a corn masa cake Black bean spread Tomatillo salsa (green) Queso Fresco Sour Cream Guacamole Cilantro Lime Wedges Crispy Corn Tortillas My mouth is watering even as I write this! No kidding - here's why - The masa cake lends a subtle sweetness that blends very well with the black bean texture, runny yolk and crispy tortillas, 4 or 5 of which are off to the side, wedged into a generous lump of guacamole and sour cream, just like you would stick a pair of skis into fresh powder snow. The salsa is strong, but not overwhelming and gives just the extra kick you need and makes the entire combination quite heavenly. Everything is stacked beautifully on the plate and when you dig in, the layers are firm, but give into you knife and fork. I love cilantro too and they top off the stack with a few strips. Add a nice double cappuccino or coffee and you're all set for the day. No need for toast or orange juice. I haven't seen the likes of this dish anywhere. So don't think - just order it. I've always enjoyed going to the peppermill's oceano restaurant and I have to say, my peppermill dining experience is pretty limited to that. So, to try something different, we went here! And I have to say, I will definitely be back! I am not the type of person to crave a sandwich. Ever. I'd much rather eat something more exciting or more fun. However, I think I've finally met my sandwich match! This was their salmon biscotti melt and I could not get enough of this!! My work colleague stayed here at the Peppermill, so we met up at Biscotti's for lunch before we headed out to the airport. It may be a little difficult to find, we had to ask for directions from the hotel staff to find it. It's near the pool so just go towards that and look for signs. It's a pretty big restaurant, a lot of tables for small groups and large groups. Menu is huge so choose wisely. I decided to get the "Giardino Flatbread Wrap". I wanted something more on the healthy side and this was a pretty good pick. It had quinoa, kale sprouts, roasted peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, and some basil aioli all wrapped up in a wrap. Comes with a side so I got fries to make it even more healthy. It was all pretty good, huge sized wrap, you can ask for dipping sauces if you want. My coworker had the "Chinese Chicken Salad", it was absolutely a gigantic portion, it's like they opened one of those salad bags you get from the grocery store and put it in a fish bowl. No issues with the salad as she enjoyed it very much, but it was huge! Staff was fine, friendly, talkative and didn't take long to get our food and our lunch was pretty fast, prices aren't too bad but you get your portions worth with the pricing. I would place a zero but it's not available. We are in conference. We waited 15 minutes and waiting for someone to take our order after we seated. A female manager comes over and insults us because we asked for our order to be taken. She said, ok since you've informed me of the problem do you want me to take your order and it would get here when the kitchen is no longer backed up. I informed her we cannot get our food if no one has taken the order; and other sections that sat down after us have their drinks and orders in before us. We went there for lunch. I ordered the French onion soup and a BLT sandwich. The restaurant is beautiful and our waiter was very nice. The food came out fast. I found the French onion soup to have a different flavor then the others I've had. I did enjoy it and went it looked delicious. The BLT I ordered it in wheat bread toasted. We took my grandmother to the brunch buffet for her birthday. FYI: Brunch is only available Sundays 10am-2pm. Everything tasted amazing. I've lived in Reno all of my life and have not been to a buffet I've liked yet but this one knocked it out of the park! The staff was friendly and quick to clear plates and refill drinks. They also kept everything restocked on the buffet line. Every single thing I tried tasted great! They had salads, quiche, sushi, crab legs, duck egg rolls, different meats, muffins, donuts, and a whole dessert room! There was so much more, the menu online only listed a few of the several things that were actually there. Also if you're a fan of mimosa's you're in luck because they are included in the buffet price! Which, is $54.95/person. Sort of pricey but totally worth it! Also if you're a local you do get a discount (about $10 per person). We will definitely be back very soon! read more

I went last night with a party of six people. We spent over $450+ on sub par food and drinks. The beef stroganoff pasta was super bland. It needed salt, seasoning, the beef was overcooked. It was inedible. We barely touched it. We ordered apps and a young man, not our waiter brought out an order of wings that didn't belong to us along with what we did order. He set everything down and walked away without saying a word. The waiter came by a while later after we started eating it and said it wasn't for our table. He said because we started eating it he couldn't take it. Obviously!! Was he planning on taking it after sitting at our table for 20 min?! He charged us for the wings but they would have been thrown away...Regardless, the waiter was annoyed and rude the entire time from the moment we sat down. When we questioned the bill he said "you ate them". It was their mistake and would have been tossed. We really didn't question that one of us had ordered it until it was too late. He told us he could get his manager, with a major attitude!. I would never go back. Overpriced food, drinks, and bad service. Heavy set male with facial hair (waiter). Update: Management called me and made it right. I am open to returning in the future to this restaurant and giving it a second chance. read more

I have visited the restaurant 2-3 times before and have been pleased with the food and it's presentation, but not so this time. The Chicken Scallopini was disgusting to look at. The chicken was tough, the gnocchi were tough and the sauce was the consist of latex paint. Horrible. The Chicken Piccata - which I used to like here - is now served on top an enormous pile of noodles so all the sauce is lost on the noodles. Again, the chicken was tough. The Everything Salmon Salad was also ugly - it looks like the Chef never took the 'food presentation class.' It was okay, but not memorable. The Fettuccine Alfredo was an overpriced plate of pasta and nothing to write home about. I think they have remodeled the restaurant and there are no longer any 'head high' barriers between the tables. Therefore there is NO privacy; you can hear everything everybody is talking about. Service was good. Definitely $$$. As far as I am concerned, another Reno restaurant has NOT survived the pandemic. I suggest you look elsewhere. read more

The food is so good here! Like really really good! I stayed here two weekends in a row. The first I just ate the room service and pool food. It's was a meh food weekend. The next weekend, I had dinner here with my whole family. I had the shrimp scampi, my husband had the prime rib, my mom had the salmon and my children had macaroni and penne. All three main course meals were delicious. But the prime rib and shrimp scampi were amazing like absolutely amazing so amazing that in-fact the next day when I was at the pool I ordered those two things again. When we walked in, we were told it would take 10 -15 mins to get a table, when we could see several tables were unoccupied. We waited for more than 20 mins before going back to check, and were then given a table that hadn't been set yet. We ordered a 2 eggs breakfast with chicken apple sausage, and Biscotti's benedict. The egg breakfast was okay, but the benedict was a disappointment. The poached eggs didn't have running yolks, it was like the egg had been boiled instead of poached. The hollandaise sauce was too thick. I think we could have gotten a much better breakfast outside the hotel in Reno. read more

The Peppermill doesn't disappoint! Six of us came in for an early dinner. There were only a few other people, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The restaurant itself was very comfortable and well decorated. It made for a very inviting space. Our group ordered a wide variety of entree's, which were all very good. The prime rib was huge! I swapped out the potatoes for a wedge salad which was a great choice. The Monte Cristo got rave reviews along with the prime rib sandwich. My son gave a big thumbs up for the fish and chips. We called a couple of places in town a week prior Valentine's and all the places we called were booked Friday February 14 and 15th. But I remember this place has good food so we took a chance and give it a try and there it was we had a dinner reservation for two. Had a great experience over the weekend here at this restaurant! The restaurant is tucked away from the casino floor near the Tuscany Towers, making it a great place to venture away from the casino side. During the night, you can listen to the live music played by the band at the Terrace Lounge, adding to the classic and romantic feel of the restaurant. Although it is considered a casual dining establishment, the decor is quite elegant and lovely. Now, on to the food.They offer very large portions, and the presentation is magnificent. The flavor on the dishes we ordered, however, were a bit salty for both of our tastes. We ordered the French Onion Soup, the Prime Rib of Beef and the Wood-grilled Chicken. Both entrees were large and looked great! The French Onion soup was quite salty, but with the added cheese on top made it a little more palatable. The Wood Grilled Chicken was also slightly salty, but not inedible. My Prime Rib was the only dish that was seasoned perfectly and was tender and delicious. The staff was extremely attentive and nice, and is definitely part of the reason I will be returning. They offered pleasant conversation, and were so friendly. read more

Came here while staying at the Peppermill and I'm glad that I did! Had an overall great experience with the service and food. We came around 8:30pm and waited around 10-15 minutes for a table. They asked for our phone number and texted us when our table was ready which was convenient since we were able to explore around the hotel while waiting. We ordered the Biscotti's Melt with crab and a side of fries and the Mushroom Sausage Pepperoni Pizza on Flatbread. The food was fantastic! The Biscotti's Melt with crab was definitely my favorite! I definitely recommend getting it with crab because it went so well together and the taste was amazing. The pizza was good as well and pretty big so we had a lot of leftovers. For dessert we got the warm skillet chocolate chip cookie which was delicious but decadent. I would definitely recommend if you have a sweet tooth because it is definitely sweet but still really good. The service was great as well. Our server was super attentive and friendly. The ambiance was nice as well. It is quite expensive but that's expected inside the hotel. Overall a great experience and would recommend giving this place a try when in the area! read more

Not a big fan, usually, of restaurants in a resort or hotel. Too many times, one feels like a captive audience, forced to endure terrible service and mediocre (at best) food. Not Biscotti's. First, the service. One morning, we had Jose. He was excellent. Put in our requested modifications, delivered great good, and kept my coffee full without being obnoxious. Another afternoon, Paulette took care of us. She joked with us, answered our questions, and like Jose put in our requested modifications without getting all weird. The wine list (lunch with Paulette) has very moderately priced wines at $10-$12/glass. The Tuscan omelet for breakfast was packed with vegetables and avocado (fruit or nut?). Potatoes were perfect, not greasy or salty, with a bit of a crunch on the outside. The Biscotti burger, the prime rib sliders (three on a plate, with crunchy sauteed onions heaped on top), and my grilled romaine salad were reasonably priced and good values. Our calamari was served cool (I do t even think it was room temperature) and might have tasted better if it was served hot but when you have something that is breaded that is served cool, it looses something. My blue cheese bacon burger was delicious as were my fries and the Chinese chicken salad was just okay. Jose needs to be a server, he NEVER skipped a beat and was there both times I needed something and one of those times I had already asked my server for mustard and never received it but Jose brought it ASAP!!
