Everything is very clean and bright. Restrooms were well-maintained too. The food is great! You can't really go wrong ordering any of their biscuits. My husband and I got bonuts (biscuit donut holes) to share. For my meal, I ordered something from their seasonal menu - Peach Frenchie. It was delicious and I loved that the bread for the French toast part was made from their biscuits. Employees were super nice! I highly recommend signing up for their Biscuit Belly rewards because you get free bonuts on your first visit. This is advertised throughout the store as well. The menu felt affordable and the place is good for families or a casual breakfast date. I also liked that the tables had napkins and silverware at each table so there was no need to get up and gather things. Parking can be tricky (and sometimes pricey) when you're in Raleigh, but you can get free 1-hour validated parking in the garage of their building. This place has been on my list of things to try every time I'm in NC! While the set up is interesting and you order at the front before sitting, definitely look at the menu prior as the line moves quickly and we're indecisive because everything looked so good ! The staff was extremely welcoming and accommodating and when they noted we had made some modifications to one of the meals we ordered they refunded us the price difference after we had paid. I was helped by Shawn today and his attitude and service was BEYOND excellent. I was in the restaurant for around an hour and watched him have meaningful and pleasant conversations with almost everyone--making an effort to make everyone's day just a bit better. He is genuinely a wonderful person who deserves so much more recognition than just this review could offer!!! I had a less-than-okay visit a few months ago, but this visit today changed my entire view of this spot. The food has always been AMAZING! Heard about Biscuit Belly and was in the area and decided to try it out. It is in an up and coming area called Seaboard Station. The aesthetic is nice with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The service was friendly and the cashier patiently waited for me to decide among the MANY delicious sounding choices. I was in a bit of a hurry so I got a Fire in Your Belly to go. It's a buttermilk chicken sandwich with Nashville hot mayo, spicy pickles and cheese. I wanted to try so many other things like the grits, bonuts, and the iced coffees so I'll definitely have to return. So the biscuit should be the star at Biscuit Belly annnndddd... it didn't disappoint. The sandwich was delicious. The chicken was juicy and I loved the mayo and pickles combination. The sandwich is also a good size so even without any other sides, it was filling. I like my biscuits a little flakier, but it was a good biscuit nevertheless. Decided to try the new Biscuit Belly. There is a lot of construction still going on in this area. The parking was effortless. You may need to pay if you park in the deck beyond the 1 hour the restaurant validates. The wait for food seemed brief as I needed time to review the menu. The staff seemed pleasant. The from-scratch biscuits are so delicious! I also had a breakfast bowl with all the things (bacon, eggs, sauteed spinach, onions, and roasted tomatoes over cheese grits. Very filling! I also had the chance to try the bonuts and those were tasty. The service was great. To wait in line with your mind on a cocktail and to order and find out the cocktails can not be ordered is disappointing. To go from wanting a cocktail to settle on water definitely bump this review from 4 to 3 star's. I suggest calling before you go to find out if alcohol is available. I had the opportunity to go to the Friends and Family opening for Biscuit Belly this weekend! Located at Seaboard Station in downtown Raleigh, it will be in a great area. Once construction is complete I can see this business really staying packed. Everyone greeted us warmly and checked on us throughout our meal. I took my mom with me and we had the Gravy Train for starters. Mini biscuits with a flight of gravies. Hard to choose my favorite! Mom had the Hot Brown in honor of Derby week and I had the Rockwell Supreme. OMG everything was so good! I had to deconstruct my biscuit about half way through to be able to enjoy all the goodness. Coffee ran out and took a long time to brew and was bitter and stale with a bad after taste. The plants are nice but they need some TLC if you're gonna have real plants and hanging in front of my face while eating. Coffee left an aftertaste way after finishing eating. I'm a coffee drinker so maybe clean the container more thoroughly to prevent bad taste of potentially good coffee. Also have more then one coffee dispenser would be nice. I'd go back. read more

Terrific food and service at biscuit belly a few weekends ago. It was exactly what we needed after a late night out. My only complaint is tables were not being cleaned and so we, as well as others, ended up having to clean our own tables which resulted in piles and piles of dishes both at inside and outside tables. as towel was left out as well so maybe that's just how things go but it certainly did not enhance the experience. One minor tweak in that area and this would've easily been five stars! They were not busy while we were there, so perhaps just more attention to the outdoor seating area would be great. read more

I visited the new BB location at Seaboard Downtown Saturday for brunch. I arrived before 11:30 and a line had already formed out front. A nice gentleman greeted guests and handed out menus while we waited to get inside. I estimate it was about a 15 minute wait in line. Keep in mind this is a brand new location located among new luxury apartments. Parking was easy with 1 hour validated parking in P1 & P2 Nextdoor to the restaurant. My friend and I got to the register to place our order and I was disappointed to learn there was no alcohol being served for cocktails. It's Saturday. No brunch is complete without a cocktail to pair it with. This should have been sorted out on Friday. I decided on the Mama's Boy, redeemed my free offer for the "Bonuts" with bourbon cream cheese and settled for a Praline Mocha Iced Coffee. The biscuits here are very light, fluffy and baby's butt soft. I also enjoyed the juicy chicken breast on my Mama's Boy. However I felt there was too much dressing or mayo on this making it messy to eat. I could have skipped on this part. This sandwich could have used more fresh pimento spread and a larger fried green tomato, unless the cook forgot to add it....IDK. The waitstaff did an awesome job serving. The gentleman worked very hard. Excellent service from them. Shout out to the dishwasher team as well. Hard working team working together. I was one of the lucky ones to be invited to the Friends and Family preview weekend of Biscuit Belly. I went with a few of my awesome friends who appreciate food as much as I do. We were greeted by Jennifer/Jenny/Jenn who gave us a menu and walked us through what we would experience. We placed our order at the counter, were given our number to put on the table, then opted to enjoy the fabulous Spring weather outside. We opted to share an appetizer of Loaded Breakfast Tots which is sausage and cheddar stuffed tater tots with sweet maple mayo sauce. These were very good, but I have to admit, I was distracted by the biscuit sandwiches we had ordered. At our table, we had The Rockwell (Buttermilk fried chicken breast, cheddar, goetta sausage gravy), The Rockwell Supreme (The Rockwell plus an over easy egg and bacon) and for little old me The Belly Buster (Buttermilk fried chicken breast, sausage, bacon, brisket, cheddar, mushroom gravy, over easy egg) although I opted for sausage gravy. The sandwiches were good sized and filling. We all enjoyed our sandwiches a lot. I have to admit of all of the meats in my sandwich, I believe the sausage was my favorite which is surprising as the bacon was perfectly cooked/crispy and the chicken was moist and flavorful. The manager didn't think I could finish my sandwich, but I was happy to prove him wrong (never challenge a stubborn girl). The restaurant offers coffees, some cocktails, juices, teas and sodas. The Tequila Sunrises were very popular on Sunday. I had a Praline Mocha, which was good, but I was intrigued by the Tractor Sodas (cucumber, lemongrass, cherry cream, etc.) and will likely have those next time. And then they've got about a dozen awesome looking biscuits with plenty more to round it out. They went big on their flavors and portions, making sure everyone left full and happy. They also paid attention to the little details that might get overlooked. Loved the bright new space with the fun signage and branding. We sat outside, but inside looked plenty nice as well. I would rate my experience as a 3.5. I cam e on opening weekend for Sunday brunch at 1:45pm. You pick up a menu and order in line before seating yourself. We ordered the pancake corndogs and the gravy train for our appetizers. The best part of this meal was the mushroom gravy from the gravy train. The mini biscuits we got with the gravy train, were like rocks. At a biscuit restaurant, I should not be wondering were the biscuits supposed to be cooked like this. They were hard all around and the middle was not fluffy. The sausage gravy was average and the gouda mornay was ok. They did a good job of pulling off a sweet mayo with the pancake corndogs. I ordered them just to try the mayo, and was pleasantly surprised at the depth of flavor they were able to get in it. For our main course we ordered the The fire in your belly with fried green tomatoes and cheesy grits, and the biscuit bennie with loaded tots. There were hits and misses throughout the meal. The chicken was fried well, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. As a total biscuit, the fire in your belly was more of warm embers in your belly. The fired green tomatoes were over cooked and lacked flavor. I never thought I would ever say this about restaurant , but the grits had too much salt. They had a burst of flavor and then it was just salt. The poached eggs on the biscuit bennie were poached hard. I am not sure if this was intentional but it threw me for a loop. The brisket was average, and the loaded tots tasted like they had been fried a while ago and reheated. All in all this meal was very hit or miss, with probably more misses than hits. I got the fire in the belly which wasn't a high spice level but that's ok. I also got the lavender mimosa which was really good. The service was excellent and the decor inside was cute. They do have some outdoor seating as well. The place is in the cut so you will pass it if you're not paying attention. Only suggestion would be for the biscuit to be a little bigger to cover the chicken. Overall good spot will have to try it again. read more

You can select Biscuits Belly Coffee mugs, shot glasses, etc. to purchase while you wait in line to order. Great concept. lol. We ordered the cheese grits bowl (extra for protein), bonuts, home fries, & pancake corn dogs with 2 drinks. $45. The food was bland. No seasoning. The Bonuts were probably the best thing & their fountain drinks. My grandson took 2 bites of the pancake corn dogs & was done. He didn't like the taste. The home fries were simply frozen square French fries. To me, home fries have onions or at least hand cut potatoes. I decided to put my sauce on the side for my bowl. The customer service was great; the food....not so much. The grits came out in 3 ice cream-like scoops. They weren't even warm. The omelette was not good. The bonuts looked and tasted fresh, but it wasn't over the top great. I normally don't use sugar in my coffee (just flavored cream), but after probably 12 packs of sugar, I still couldn't stomach it. I heard about the Friends and Family Day to preview this new to Raleigh restaurant- Biscuit Belly! They are opening Tuesday April 30th to the public and are located in Seabord Station. We found parking on the street for free (on Saturday) but there is nearby lots as well as a parking garage (where there was a fee) nearby. Biscuit Belly was easy to find not only because of the sign but also the painted mural outside of the restaurant that reads ..Biscuit Belly. There is outdoor seating but we opted to dine inside. The indoor dining area was bright, cheery, clean, spacious but a bit loud. After getting the menu to review, we went to the register to order. My family of 3 got the Bonuts to share (these are biscuit donuts holes with cinnamon sugar and bourbon cream cheese frosting on the side, also comes with a jam which was great so that my 12 yr old could partake) . Everyone enjoyed their selections, which were served with a smile, hot and fresh from the kitchen. I will say that the Boozy Bird chicken biscuit sandwich was the best I ever had ! Came in for lunch. We had pancakes, chicken and biscuits, the love shack, as well as tequila sunrises and a Bloody Mary. Everything was delicious, the food came out in a timely manner, everyone was friendly and the facility was very clean.
