I have been wanting to try Biscuits Café for some time, but for whatever reason have hesitated, and have consistently chosen previous favorites. Finally, my daughter and I visited Biscuits after mass, and it was excellent. The service was warm and friendly at the front door upon entering, as well as at the table. Our server was sincerely gracious and helpful. All of our food selections were very hot and tasty. The syrup, (my pet peeve) was actually heated for the pancakes. Thank You. Biscuits is a chain with restaurants in Oregon, Arizona, and I think Washington. It has always been okay for us, my elderly dad loved it, and it is very kid and inlaw friendly. So, this Biscuits is the NEXT closest one to my house. My minion was picking up breakfast for us today ( I am not very hungry at 4 months into chemo but my minion is persistent and pushy) and helping me with computer stuff. First we tried calling the Bethany location four times. It went to voicemail. There is an online ordering option but you gotta pay online too and minion is opposed to that. Sunday at 9 is a busy breakfast situation. This Baseline Biscuits picked up their phone right away and a friendly young lady took the order, gave me a time estimate, and told me the total. Awesome. Our food was ready on time. Everything was correct. My biscuits and hasbrowns were tasty. The eggs were fine. Passed the ham to the minion. He was satisfied with his pancakes. Mostly good. He traded me for a piece of bacon. It was crispy and fine too. The cinnamon roll sadly was terrible. Skip it. I think they must use them to make their cinnamon roll French toast so it's like a very yeasty bread with cinnamon...not sweet or flaky or buttery or sticky or caramelized.And hardly any of the not great icing. We tossed it. $5 fail. Go get yourself a much less expensive version at Great Harvest or Insomnia or QFC. All in all, however, a good result. Minion brought me a cinnamon roll later from elsewhere in his ongoing effort to get me to eat. I stop in here from time to time, when I am in town. It has a pleasant neighborhood cafe vibe. The service is always courteous and efficient. The food is surprisingly good, and the quality is consistent. I had the meat lover's scramble, with hash browns, loaded with cheese and pancakes, topped with cream and strawberries. The person of color who was seating people just kept looking at us. When another group, people of color, walked in , he stopped what he was doing, ran over and proceeded to seat that group. TL;DR: Feels like home, tastes just as great. My family and I have been going to this specific Biscuits Café since it opened. We've seen it grow and weather it's many ups and downs. It's been a while since I've been back. My friends and I have been looking for our new go-to breakfast spot and we finally found it. This location gets busy and there can be a wait, but it's for sure worth it. We arrived around 9am on a Saturday and were sat immediately. We got coffee and waters almost right away. The menu is pretty large and everything looked tempting! We got the pumpkin pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and chicken fried steak. Servings were huge and everything was delicious! Things did come out a little slow but they have a big quote on their wall that basically says they serve really delicious food and it takes time to make lol. Which is fair and worth it. The only thing keeping me from five stars is while I understand food takes awhile to come out, service is just a little lacking. The staff are all super nice, when you're able to get someone to help out. I think they just need more servers and a more organized system to help their servers stay on top of things. We asked for creamer and after 20 minutes, I just grabbed some from another table. We needed another napkin and again, after 15ish min, I snagged one from the table next to me. We got coffees and water quickly but then didn't see our server again to order for close to 25 minutes. I love this place and we absolutely plan to come back! I ordered the original breakfast, It came with turkey bacon not the regular bacon that I ordered. The hashbrown portion was so small I had to bring this to the server's attention. He made some excuse about a short supply due to delivery problems. My wife's order came with only one egg when there was meant to be two. They fixed all these issues, but it's not the same when you don't get everything you ordered at one time. No one ever asked if I wanted a refill on my coffee. They also made a mistake on the bill overcharging us double, but it was fixed when I brought it to their attention. I found the place to be noisy and not very warm. The whole place did not have a very friendly feeling to it and the staff did not seem to be very happy. There was a tension in the air between the staff which made me a bit uncomfortable. Over staffed and terrible customer service. I am from Arizona and come to this area for work from time to time. We have a biscuit in AZ and my family and I love it. I came here two years ago and this location was always a great spot as well. However fast forward two years and I have been in Beaverton for 2 months and have visited this location 3 times. First visit was good and no complaints. I did see an abnormal amount of employees which caused them all to just stand around and hang out, found that odd but didn't seem like a big deal. Second visit my waitress was more worried about filling syrup containers than tending to the customers. Found this frustrating because I could not get her attention. Again there was an abundance of employees just standing around as they seemed over staffed. Odd combination to be over staffed and nobody serving customers. Third visit was this morning. I didn't want hotel breakfast and wanted something nice. So I head over to biscuits and instead of my usual waffle and eggs I decided to get a meat lovers omelette with sourdough toast. Instead of getting a delicious omelette filled with goey cheese I got an omelette that tasted like it was filled with re-heated leftovers and the only cheese was a single slice of cheese melted on top. The hash browns were not seasoned, burnt and mush. The toast was the highlight and it even was not that good. Of course they are over staffed again, but this time I saw two employees eating breakfast in the dining area. They opened at 7am and I got there at 8am. Now I know everyone deserves their break, but no employee break room? I would have been better off eating the crappy hotel breakfast for free instead of paying $20 for subpar food. Time to update my review. The last one was fair but a bit harsh. The breakfast here is good. They make excellent pancakes, waffles, and the biscuits are good. The corned beef hash is a crowd pleaser. This is the most popular breakfast spot in the area and they do a lot of takeout business. Place is packed on weekends.. Stick to breakfast foods. There's a reason why there is always a line for this place - food is always great when we go here. The service was a little slow the last time we went - we waited for maybe 20-30 minutes before someone came by to take our order. It seemed like there was only 1 server for the whole section (I felt bad for our server who looked like he was overwhelmed). It also seemed like no one was really coming to check on us throughout the meal in case we needed something. First time here at this location and there was no way to tell before we got there that they had no waiting area. this is my only negative feedback; Me, my wife, our 4 children, and their grandmother were told to go wait back outside in the rain until our table was ready. Other than that once we were seated we all of us had our food in less than 10 minutes from when our order was taken, the service was great! I'm a sucker for breakfast...anytime breakfast. With our heat wave I decided to order some comfort breakfast for delivery and I do have a place I "always" order from but there were no drivers near and I REALLY needed my comfort. When I order takeout I usually get a few meals or plan to break things up into multiple meals. I ordered scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage and bacon (which was already huge on it's own and broke into two meals). When I give them another order I genuinely fee like I should (or you should) order one of their omelets or scrambles versus plain scrambled eggs because those were not great and just seemed over cooked. The sausage and bacon were pretty much perfect though as were the hash browns. FYI - I am pretty certain potatoes are cooked with real butter - I'm French so this was a fantastic surprise but might not be your jam since some folks fear butter. Second breakfast - I ordered a side of pancakes and also their cinnamon roll French toast. THIS, my friends, is where I became a fan. Their pancakes are big, fluffy and have a wonderful hint of vanilla. I am legit stupid picky on pancakes and genuinely rarely order them at places since I feel that I will just be left disappointed and angry. These held up so beautifully that they reheated like champs. The cinnamon roll French toast also makes it onto the "what to order" list - wow, that was some great flavor and, somehow, was ot over the top sweet yet seriously still very much had the flavor of cinnamon roll. It's been awhile since I've been out to have brunch. This time, Husby and I wanted to switch it up and try somewhere new and ended up here. We arrived around 11 and the place was packed, but the wait didn't take long. Our server was nice and kept checking in on us despite how busy it was. What we both ordered came out pretty fast. Their menu was mainly breakfast but they also serve lunch as well. I got the BEAST Benedict (bacon, egg, avocado, spinach, tomato) and Husby got the corned beef hash with hash browns and biscuits. Not sure if it was just me, but my Benedict was bland and some bites I took seemed cold, which just made it unpleasant. Also, not much flavor from the hollandaise like I'm used to. I think if I would have left the tomato and spinach out, it might have been better. Otherwise ,it was ok. The corned beef hash was alright, also a bit bland as well. The only thing that we both really enjoyed were the biscuits (go figure) which were really good with gravy or even perfect by itself. This is a nice simple breakfast spot. Prices are decent. Good atmosphere. Food/service is fairly quick. They have a great variety of food items and everything I've had at this location has been great. Parking can be iffy, lot is small. They have flavored creamer too (big deal for me). This particular visit was for a belated birthday breakfast. We were seated within 10 minutes (2 of us) and our server took great care of us. Typically I order eggs Benedict but this morning when I woke up, I wanted waffles. Well lucky me, they have a special chicken waffles Benedict. Sounded kinda crazy but I was in a crazy mood to try something new. I was happy I did. Super disappointed in this location. This use to be a family favorite location for breakfast or brunch but unfortunately this has changed. There are two major interactions that caused me to know make my way to another location if I want biscuits. First interaction or lack of interaction was on Mother's Day. It was my first Mother's Day and my husband brought us here the Friday before as I didn't want to be in the Mother's Day crowd. It was about an hour and a half till close. They did not seem busy, and had plenty of staff standing around. I walk in, wait about 5 minutes while many of the staff looked at me and never greeted me. After waiting patiently, I decided if they didn't want to acknowledge me, I didn't even want to bother to ask for a table so we left. Had a WAY BETTER experience at thirsty lions where they made me feel so special. Second interaction was last week. We had family in town and decided to take them to biscuits. We asked for a table for 10 and were happy to wait for tables to clear out. I mentioned that I had two babies (2 months) that I keep in their stroller as I have bassinets for them to lay in. The host never said that would be a problem until we got our table... A staff member came over to tell us our table was ready but that we could not bring the stroller. I asked her if we could wait for more space or find somewhere where we could fit the stroller. Her response, "There is not space. It's not going to happen." I was shocked and disappointed in her response so we left. If you can't accommodate your clients make that clear from the beginning and stay respectful. I will start by saying this used to be my favorite place. I was really excited when they added the gluten free options but the last three times I have eaten here it has been really bad. To start with, it seems like they stopped using their exhaust fans and the entire restaurant has a rather smokey, in your face, overcooked food haze upon being seated. The kitchen is open so the atmosphere is loud. I feel like I'm in the kitchen even when sitting towards the back; yelling, dishes clanking and things being dropped. The food: last time we were there I ordered some version of Eggs Benedict on the gluten free bread. Well, they did not toast the bread which completely ruined it. After being seated, we ordered to go because the noise level snd smell was bothering my daughter. On arriving home to eat I found a mediocre hollandaise sauce soaked into gummy gluten free bread. My daughters meal was sub par. We ordered a cinnamon roll to go and on warming it later that day discovered it was old and dried out. Most of the food was thrown in the garbage. Prices are plenty high and I don't mind paying higher prices for good food but I will not eat there again. The only redeeming quality is I may stop in for the freezer jam they sell to go. read more

I was very happy to have Biscuits Cafe near my Beaverton digs. It's always comforting having a diner near-by, although I'm used to them having late-night hours (when I usually crave breakfast comfort food) and Biscuits Cafe closes mid-afternoon. Word around town is that it's the biscuits and gravy that are a must-try, and, as I've had some good ones*, I was excited to give the B&G a go. Actually two gos, I went back a week later; this review covers both visits. I ordered the chicken-fried chicken and chicken-fried steak, each with eggs, the B&G, and a short stack of pancakes. Despite the chicken being fresh and the steak frozen, I found the latter far more crunch, satisfying, and traditional. I think that's the key element in this meal, and the thing I was craving something fierce. The breakfast items were exactly as expected: the eggs are tasty and cooked exactly as I asked. The sausages and the patties are done with just the right amount of salt and fat, so they were just happiness on the plate. The pancakes were just right, firm enough to stand up to my fork and absorbent enough to move the syrup into my mouth and not in my lap; hey, it's appreciated! The biscuits were better than good, but not perfect. Good enough for a breakfast joint in the middle of Oregon, but not the absolute best (as had be suggested). The gravy was chock full of sausage bits and the pan drippings but not the be-all-to-end-all gravy. Very good but there's room for improvement. B&G is a special meal, and there were lots of expectations raised, so forgive my nit-picking. Would I go back to Biscuits?
