My daughter and I have a long-time Black Friday shopping tradition. We say we are going shopping, leave the guys at home to clean up any leftover Thanksgiving mess and we sneak out to breakfast. (No one ever asks if we bought anything!) Today we landed at Biscuits Cafe. It was after 10, so a little crowded but we were immediately seated and our waitress brought menus and water. I know it's weird, but as a first-timer in any restaurant I usually check out the restroom before ordering anything. It was immaculate. I ended up getting this monster plate called the Beast Benedict (Bacon, poached eggs, avocado, spinach, and tomato on what appeared to be an English muffin with a nice amount of Hollandaise on top. It came with a side of hash browns--perfectly cooked and crispy. It was soooo very good and I really wanted to finish it but it was just too much food. Service was great--quick and attentive. Being from Oregon I was excited to see a Biscuit Cafe here in AZ. Unfortunately my experience was horrible. A employee by the name of Amber who stated she "wasn't on the clock" chose to be rude & tried to deny me an item they forgot to put in my order. Being an amputee I was wearing shorts, I guess picking up on my Irritation Amber continuously stared at my prosthetic leg. When asked about my item she maintained a level of disrespect & then tried to deny me something I paid for. Amber then stated something about me "Standing on Principle" while Blatantly Staring down at my lower body all while smirking. Just a clear sign of total disrespect to someone with a Handicap. First and last time at Biscuits Cafe. Arrived at 10:20. It was almost 11 before our drink order was taken. Another 20 minutes to get our drinks and our food order taken. Another hour to get our food. 1 order (BEAST eggs Benedict ) was so undercooked that the egg whites were still clear and gelatinous. Took 15 minutes to get the attention of the waitress. She was kind enough to have it remade and boxed up. She asked me to make sure I wanted the yokes runny (yes). Got the order home and opened it up. She gave me the Florentine Eggs Benedict with hard cooked eggs. 3 adults and a toddler total was like $61+tip. Totally not worth the hassle and stress. This place is seriously under staffed. I love this place I eat here probably at least once a month. Always get a coffee and their chicken fajita omlette, choose the biscuits and the hashbrowns. My mom always gets the cinnamon roll French toast and a coffee. Theu have flavored creamer French Vanilla or hazelnut also carry the same 2 flavors in non dairy creamer if you need that. Jazzy i believe her name was she had a disney princess voice. She was sooo great she made our experience there so fun! I had tried other restraunts in Arizona and it was alright and the service was always poor. (This is my second time coming) however pur waitress went above and beyond for us. I was excited to try this place after hearing a family member worked at the one in Peoria and they gave good reviews. Upon arrival we were seated promptly. We sat there for 15 minutes before a waitress acknowledged me looking around the place like a lost puppy. She then approached the table and said, "sorry I forgot about you guys". I was irritated at that comment but preceded to order anyway. We ordered a cinnamon roll appetizer which came out quickly. The cinnamon roll was soggy but had a good taste. I also ordered the steak and egg breakfast dish. I asked for rare cause I was skeptical this place could pull off a medium rare. So by ordering rare I actually got medium rare. I'm glad my instincts were on point. The food was average. The service was bad. We went for breakfast and left an hour and 15 minutes later for the food you see in the pics. After waiting 40 minutes without any parties being seated (and 6 parties leaving), a man from another waiting party asked about the wait. He was told that the kitchen was backed up because of Door Dash orders, so they were unable to make food for customers in the restaurant for at least another 45 minutes. We waited 30 min to get seated and another 30 min for our meal. Our waitress was sweet but only checked in once and never asked why we had so much food leftover or not wanting to take any to-go. We went for Sunday brunch. We expected a wait. Still what happened was ridiculous. The lobby was packed. We don't mind waiting for a quality experience so we were patient, as were all the other people. But when we noticed that tables in the dining area were empty and ready to seat a new group but nobody was being seated, things changed. We had been waiting for 20 minutes but others had been waiting for 45 minutes. I asked the hostess why there were 6 tables that were ready but none of us were being seated. In a loud and disrespectful voice she told me, "It is not about the empty tables, it's about the cook." I said,"Ok, but we could be sitting at a table instead of standing in the lobby? I would not mind waiting longer but I would really enjoy to sit and have coffee." The girl gave me a disgusted look and replied, "The manager wants you all to wait in the lobby." There was an audible gasp as the lobby crowd let that sink in. Was it true? Why would the manager want customers to be uncomfortable? Didn't that person care about the mostly elderly people who had been forced to stand a half hour before eating? We decided to leave at that point. I can be very patient but I don't tolerate being treated disrespectfully. I think everyone else felt the same way as the entire lobby left the place after we did! Biscuits lost at least 30 paying customers at once. I bet the loss was permanent too. We went to Village Inn which had a similar crowd and yet immediately seated us, served coffee, took our orders, and brought our food within 10 minutes. That's how it's done, Biscuits. You won't last because your service is horrible. Worse than that is the contemptible way you treated us. People don't forget that sort of thing. read more

Came in for lunch with my kids on a Saturday. It wasn't too crowded and we were seated right away. I had read the reviews before we came in so I was expecting good food with a little bit of a wait since it is prepared fresh. It took the waitress (Marge or something with an M) about 10 minutes to come to our table. I noticed that her other tables were not being properly served either. Most of the waitresses were a little older and seemed more preoccupied with congregating together and gossiping instead of working. It took a lot of effort to get their attention when they were not hiding in the kitchen or a far away corner. All of their tables were being neglected. I ordered a cinnamon roll for us to eat as an appetizer while we waited for our food. I had to ask the waitress for it twice after originally ordering it, and never got it before our food came about 40 minutes later (yeah, that long). Our food arrived lukewarm, and the butter barely melted on the pancakes. It had been under the heat lamps for a bit. They brought my 9 year old a full adult order, even though I ordered a kids meal for him. The food was average at best. My check arrived with the cinnamon roll still on the bill, and a full price meal for my 9 year old for $15 when the kids meal cost $6. I pointed this out to the waitress and she just laughed. Said she must have forgotten the cinnamon roll was in the microwave, and she offered to put it in a to go container for us. This was after I had ordered the damn thing over an hour ago. She wasn't laughing when she didn't get a tip for her poor service on a $70 bill. read more
