Was so lucky to try this place last weekend and it blew me away. First off the service was some of the best I've ever had, friendly and informative as to all the food they have. Before coming this place was known for amazing wings and pizza but I left a huge fan . I ordered: Pep pizza Wings (mild, Carolina gold & bourbon) Steak sub Meatballs . This place imo has the best pizza in town and the crust is just so delicious . I highly recommend this place to everyone in Charlotte as well as anyone who visits Charlotte, I will def be back and spend alot of money there. read more

Coming from the Northeast this is the one pizza place we can trust to get quality pizza in the city. The Buffalo Chicken pizza is my absolute favorite here. The buffalo style pizza is our go to on a Friday night when we have friends over or just feeling like grabbing pizza and watching a movie at home. They also have really good wings too. I have never eaten inside here. I always do delivery or takeout. The staff is nice and attentive every time I come in. If my order isn't ready they give me updates. Haven't really given other pizza spots a try since we started going to Bisonte. This location is in Uptown so can be difficult to find parking but not much of an issue if you're just doing takeout. read more

I haven't had bad food from Bisonte yet and I've been going for at least 7 years. They are a little high, but the food is delicious. I just wish they had a beef pepperoni option. Ordering from their menu can be a tad rigid (ie, you get what's on the menu; not many substitutions). I'd also like to see a few veggie options for a more robust meal. Great chicken finger sub. Amazing Buffalo style pepperoni pizza. I wish I lived closer. I grew up in Buffalo but moved south and this is as close to nostalgia as I can taste. Their subs are served on crusty toasty bread. Order a chicken finger sub and do yourself a favor and have it tossed in medium buffalo sauce and blue cheese on top. Buffalo pepperoni pizza was all Buffalo and was absolutely delicious. Layers of cheese with thick cut pepperoni that curls as it cooks. This pizza is legit! Parking is on the street out front and they do have some seating inside, but it's not huge in there. Where do I start....location, great. Just enough in uptown but just off the corner to be a quiet neighborhood pizzeria. They are NY style, but two styles. Buffalo and NYC style pizza. The difference is the crust. Picture is the Buffalo style. It's just Slightly thicker. No its not like a deep dish but the crush has a different texture. It was some of the best pizza I ever had. Sauce. Flavorful. Cheese, plenty and good quality. It wasn't greasy or rubbery like cheap cheese. And topping was pepperoni and as you can see, they don't skimp like a lot of places. The service, everyone was so personable, talkative having conversations and friendly. I ended up talking to everyone there. Such nice people. The chef, was great. Came out thanked me for saying compliments to him. Drinks. Full bar, wine and beer. Selection is a nice range for all types of beer wine and liquor lovers Now the wings. , some of the best I ever had. I'm gunna go with cooking style. Crispy and not dry, they fry and grill the wings for a finished char that is just awesome. The sauce I tried was a BBQ bourbon for a bit different. It was nice and sticky and flavorful. I got a side of Buffalo to drizzle with for an extra spice and zing for my self. I think about what I want to write and I'm like I WANT PIZZA! My favorite is the buffalo style crust, it's a little thicker than NY style, they offer an option of crust topping, sesame is my favorite. What keeps me returning to Bisonte is their crust, it is never overworked, it is always the perfect consistency. Their pepperoni is the bite sized, thicker cut mini moons better quality than the standard pizza pepperoni. I rarely order a specialty pizza but when someone else orders it, their Hawaiian Pizza with ham and pineapple and cherries is a nice change of pace. The cherries are unexpected and delicious. I had heard good things about the wings here and had the chance to try them at the Yelp wing fling last year. They were really good, so I knew I needed to try them for real. We were at Blue Blaze this weekend and Bisonte is conveniently close so a few of us got delivery. It took a little less than an hour on a Friday night for it to arrive which was what they estimated. Everyone else was in the mood for pizza, but we decided to get both pizza and wings. We got a large buffalo chicken finger pizza and 12 wings -- half sweet chili and half Carolina gold. Everything was delicious. The pizza was probably my favorite non-Italian style in Charlotte. They have flavored crust too and we got garlic. The wings were probably my second favorite in Charlotte (I love Seoul Food & Meat Co). They grill them and they are a little crispy for the perfect texture. Both sauces we got were delicious. The large pizza is huge, a small definitely would have been enough for us. I think one person would probably still have leftovers with a small. So, I'm not from buffalo nor do I know what their pizza style is, but I do know this spot churns out some good food! They offer pizza, wings, and sandwiches as well as a full bar and some TVs to catch any games you might want. My husband went for their NY style pizza with pepperoni. I will say, the "buffalo style" pepperoni are small little cups, which is different, but still just as tasty. Bisonte also allows you to get flavored crust. We always get the garlic and it's delicious. They have other options as well. The pizza itself is good, with the dough a little bit more on the chewy side. I usually go for their wings, and the medium is the perfect spice level for me. I do wish they came with celery or carrots, but the wings themselves are meaty and cooked perfectly. They also have homemade bleu cheese, which is delicious! There is one downside (but it's not their fault). Right now they're not the easiest to access because of the construction on trade. As long as your ok with a little walk, you'll be fine. Bisonte also delivers within a certain area of Charlotte, so it pays to call and ask before assuming they will deliver to you. read more

Okay, so I've been wanting to try them since the Yelp's Wing Fling and I live pretty close by. The gf and I decided to do subs just bc we were in the mood for a sandwich (so we'll be back for pizza and wings) and they are delicious. I wish I took a video of just the puffiness (not sure it's a word) of the bread. Just a perfectly crafted sandwich - nothing fell out, evenly balanced, hot, and so tasty. The only thing and it's minor but I wish the sauce was actually hot meaning spicy. If I choose hot, I just expect hot so that's the only thing. Besides that, as a person from Philly, it's a fantastic sandwich/sub/hoagie and worth every penny. $6.99 for a 6 inch which is just enough to leave a little room but not big enough to put you into a coma. The 12 inch puts you at like $10.99 so still a great deal to me. I believe they are also a $1 off on Mondays so keep that in mind! Will def be ordering here again in the near future! read more

My son and I went in here on a Saturday around noon. I read about the place on Big Time Bites blog. As a Bills fan, that was just a big time plus. Although I am not from Buffalo (or Western NY), I have spent a lot of time there on business. I became a Bills fans after Jerry Butler (Clemson) sort of befriended me (long story) when I helped my dad at his ice cream store in Clemson on weekends as a young kid. Anyway... Bisonte.... I have eaten at all the "hot spots" in the Buffalo area and I can tell you the wings here are L-E-G-I-T. Crisp on the outside and hot, steamy and flavorful on the inside. Good size too. Pizza - we got it "Buffalo Style"... a little thicker crust. We will get it "New York Style" next time to compare. We got pepperoni and they use those nickel sized pepperonis that cup up when you cook them. Fantastic. Fries - I saw that had fresh cut and I am a real sucker for those. They were excellent. Blue Cheese - had to edit my review as I forgot to mention the Blue Cheese. Oh My God... the Blue Cheese. Homemade and out of this world good. We didn't get celery with our wings. I wonder of they don't offer celery??? Beef On Weck - We did not get (see heart attack waiting to happen meal choices above). But, this is a western NY specialty and I look forward to giving it a try next trip. Anyone know if they are a "Bills Bar" on NFL Sundays? Service - excellent. She was very friendly and attentive. This is my favorite pizza in Charlotte! I haven't physically been, but I've ordered takeout probably 20 times. It is consistent, amazing quality every time! Partial to their Buffalo style crust pizza (perfectly crunchy crust that manages to be soft in the middle and perfectly cooked through) with garlic flavoring and my go-to topping is the pepperoni cups. Absolutely wonderful! They also have by far the best wings of any pizza joint in town - huge with a great variety of sauce choices (Thai chilli is my personal fav)! My favorite was the pizza. Very simple, yet full of flavor. They have a good variety of toppings, but I think the less ingredients the better pizza tastes. The bread for the sub was good, but I thought the chicken would be better. It's not bad, but I personally didn't think it was the best. I'm a Publix sub fan and thought it was gonna be similar. Bisonte is a popular spot in the gateway area, but I have heard mixed reviews of the pizza being just ok and others saying it's too doughy and for that reason I've never tried the pizza. I have tried the wings and they're grilled and amazing and they have the best flavors carolina gold and bourbon. The menu also includes pasta, salads, and subs. They also have a full bar and lots of space to watch games, etc. I'm sure they're pretty popular during football season as they are not far from the stadium and the parking is in the attached deck but right now there is lots of construction in the area and part of Trade street is closed which makes it difficult trying to get in and out of the deck. read more

I'm usually a veggie toppers kinda girl, but here you have to go with the OG - buffalo style pizza with cheese and pepperonis. The pepperonis aka grease cups are so GOOD! And the pizza is always loaded with cheese! I'm sure that's why I love it so much. If you're watching what you eat- stay away!!! The sizes are also great - my husband and I started splitting a small and we always have left overs- plus we get the wings! They are also equally as good and cooked to perfection. It was a weeknight (Thursday)... so not very busy... we sat at the long communal table, however this place has plenty of other tables and even another section (maybe to rent out for parties?). TVs lined the walls so a good sports watching venue as well. Server was super nice and patient as we were a large group and she was super accommodating. A pro tip for those who are impatient like me but also like having cheese on their pizza: wait a few minutes before going for it and the cheese level on your pizza will thank you. Other than the cheese mishap on my part, the pizza was really good! The crust was very thick but not difficult to chew, like thick crust can be. The garlic in the crust was definitely present but not overwhelming. The pepperoni definitely tasted as good as it looked! I had two slices before tapping out. Bistone has quickly become one of, if not the top, favorite pizza places in Charlotte. Don't you dare ordering anything but the Buffalo Style pizza (they've got NY style, but don't even think about it). Buffalo style is just that good. LOADED with cheese. I'm usually a big proponent of 'specialty' pizzas like Hawaiian, all meat, supreme etc. BUT -- the regular buffalo style pizza with just cheese & pepperoni is my go-to here. The bring in actual buffalo peps, which my wife lovingly calls "grease cups". These mini-peps actually curl up and crisp in the oven during baking, so they look like little cups of heaven. Their wings are also nothing to snub your nose at. Plenty of sauces to pick from compliment these large, meaty wings that are expertly cooked. Pizza is always ready quickly, usually in about 15-20 minutes tops. The downfall of Bisonte, currently, is all the construction surrounding it. Parking is a PITA due to the street being closed, so my wife and I always order it either take-out (illegally park down at the corner by the Subway) or delivery. read more
