The food is also fantastic so much so that I went two days in a row for lunch. The first day I got the Smashburger and side salad with balsamic vinaigrette probably the best side salad I've ever had. She also makes the killer old-fashioned the second day I tried the Mary's chicken and subbed out the macaroni and cheese for broccolini and squash mix, which was delicious and then got my favorite side salad again. The food was so fresh and beautifully presented that we came again the next day! Unfortunately the reason I am not giving 5 stars is because of the inconsistency among servers. The 1st night our server gave us unexpected chips and dip! She also served rice with my husband's order and gave him a steak knife. He ordered the same meal the next day and the rice was missing. The next server told him the rice would be an additional $2. When we explained it came with the meal the night before she brought us a small bowl of rice, but made sure we knew it was on the house and does not come with the meal. We did not appreciate her attitude. The meal without a bed of rice under it seemed inconsistent as my meal had a bed of grains under it? We went to the restaurant after a show on Friday night and saw a sign for happy hour from 10pm to midnight, Monday to Friday. Sounded great, so we decided to check it out. But when we asked the waiter, he told us they weren't offering it that night because they were too busy -- even though the place was only about half full. Kind of a letdown. I wish I can review this place, but sat down to order food at the bar for happy hour shrimp cocktail and a classic burger. As time went by we had other guest sit next to us , 15 minute later they get their food. The bartender never checks in or ask us if we got our food. I mean we are at the bar he can see us, but brings out their food still didn't check in. We had to flag him to ask when food was coming and it was never put in, we waited an hour! Not upset about this incident but just check on your customers, when they're right in front of you it doesn't hurt to do that, it's called customer service in a hospitality environment "your job!" read more

So I've been coming to Graton since they opened and Daily Grill was amazing they should never have switched. My honey and I have been to bistro 101 at least 8 times but after last night will not be going back. We looked forward to our date nights at Graton because we know we would end with great food but not anymore. The manager "said" they didn't change the fish and chips besides the 2 bigger pieces instead of the 3 before but this simply is not true and was a horrible move, it tastes different and not in a good way and the fish was very black inside. And please DO NOT try the meatloaf it it terrible! The meatloaf is described as "mom's recipe" whoever's mom they got this recipe from they need to give it back, seriously! I know they are not daily grill, as the manager reminded me which I know but the lack of flavor is just, wow. The hummus and veggies used to be good with the naan bread but I guess that was too much work because they changed to some green dip with a few garbanzo beans on top (not hummus just beans) it was very disappointing. And the chicken wings with the spicy Korean sauce were the best thing we got besides the dip and chips that were complimentary. Only the bar was full because happy hour had just started but the place was empty and everyone I seen pretty much got a smash burger which honestly was the move I should have made. Whomever is in charge of the menu has really let this place down. The chicken sandwich I used to get needs to come back to the menu otherwise there's really nothing worth trying in here. The manager did comp $25 from our bill which was greatly appreciated but not expected so thank you for that. Bistro 101 had a great ambiance to it. Stepping in and being greeted by two smiling employees is always a good sign that hospitality and service is at the forefront. On opening night, I arrived with three other friends, small wait for our seats and food, but the drinks at the bar were phenomenal. Anthony and James were very mindful and kind, constantly checking in when appropriate. Lani was very helpful and helped my friend with a bag to carry her food, as she had overheard her not wanting to walk around with just a food tray. Opening night can be stressful on the line and for the front of house, but I think it was managed well. I would definitely come back to try more. We decided to have lunch here while visiting the casino. I recommend making a reservation. We didn't, and our wait during lunch (1:00 pm) was about 45 minutes. Our server Sina was great and very attentive. I ordered the Fish and Chips (hand-battered Alaskan cod). It was served with French fries and a small side of coleslaw. It was a healthy portion and was delicious. My fiancé ordered two appetizers - BBQ Brisket Mac-n-Cheese with duck confit, elbow macaroni, and pork belly croutons and the Maine Lobster Melt (Maine lobster, brioche bread, crispy pancetta, taro chips). He said they were both very good and would order them again. Only downer is that the casino allows smoking - they do have good ventilation so it wasn't too bad but still stinky. We come here often. The food is really good. The roasted chicken and short ribs are our absolute favorite. There have been a couple of times when we had an issue with service (I.e. not bringing all items ordered, waiting over 45 minutes for our food) however, the manager has always promptly stepped in and resolved things. Not sure who came up with the smash burger idea but thats the last thing you ever want to do to a good piece of meat. And 101 took crappy to the next level. They give you free chips when you sit down which were hard as a rock with no favor the dipping sauce was horseradish sauce with everything bagel seasoning added on top. gross. The smash burger I had was over cooked and the jt sauce taste like some that was left on the counter for to long and went bad. There are way too many flavors competing at the same time. I wish I could go back and try something else on their menu but that experience was so bad I can't risk ever going again. The service so ok. Can't blame the girl serving the food she didn't make it. The decor looks the same as the other restaurant that was in there before them. Nice area to sit and have a beer because you know the chef didn't make that so at least that will be good. I have heard about this place through word of mouth. Some liked it, some didn't. Here's my opinion. I have not been to Craton Casino since it opened but we wanted to take a ride. I had forgotten that you have to walk a good distance to the restaurant depending on where you park. The smell of cigarette smoke permeates the place. That can put a foul taste in your mouth. Yuk! Anyway, when we finally got there as soon as I walked in I could smell fish cooking. Another Yuk! But I persevered. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich with coleslaw and fries and I ordered the fried chicken salad. I have to say my chicken salad was very good. It came with fried chicken, hard boiled eggs, bacon, avocado and ranch dressing. Plenty of food. My husband ordered the sandwich and was not happy with the sandwich. He said it was lacking flavor. Our server was pretty good, although there were probably only eight people in the restaurant. The decor was not what I expected but it was pleasant. I don't think I'd make the trip back up there only because of the smoke-filled rooms you have to walk through just to get to the restaurant which I felt it was unpleasant. read more

OK, my wife wanted to gamble and decided to drag me along. Fine, I enjoyed a Macallan at the bar while she worked through a few hundred bucks. When she had finished, we looked for somewhere to eat and discovered the relatively new Bistro 101. I didn't expect much in a Native American casino, but I was pleasantly surprised. The setting is pleasant if you can tolerate noisy machines outside the place and tv's playing meaningless bball games. Service was excellent, informative and attentive. My BLT, the greatest sandwich ever created, was superb. Perfectly cooked bacon not overcooked nor too rare, ripe tomato, and the crunch of fresh lettuce. My wife's steak salad wasn't pretty, but tasted great. We also loved the potato chips and dip served on the side. We'll definitely be back! And don't ask me who won the basketball! read more

I ordered the "Bistro Hash & Egg" for breakfast and was completely appalled by the nearly lethal level of grease at the bottom of the skillet for this dish. This is a DIRECT factor to kill someone who has a heart condition or cholesterol problem. Nevertheless to serve this garbage was appalling and ABSOLUTE NEGLIGENT. Patrons entrust that consuming your products should not endanger one's health and send them to the hospital. This really wasn't edible. The grease should have been at LEAST drained before presenting it to the dining room. Preferably, not integrate this garbage into the dish altogether. It was truly disgusting. The so called "hash" were essentially leftover pieces of garbage from a steak. They recycled it and gave it a new name to call it "hash" when they were nothing more than chunks of steak fat and tendons, really. When the chunks were heated up, the level of grease at the bottom of the skillet was like a pool. Not only did I do my best to avoid eating to the bottom of the skillet, I didn't get much eggs as well, unfortunately due to the eggs being undercooked. It was so runny as you would expect diarrhea would be. So of course the yolks ran off to the bottom and I refuse to ingest that yolk swimming in grease. What an absolute WASTE of my hard earned $21! Not cheap either. I would CAUTION ANYONE who would consider this. Seriously, the health department should be involved. To serve something like this to the general public and expect payment is a true insult. Truly ZERO stars, if possible. read more

I haven't been to Graton Resort and Casino in about 4 months. Your favorite celebrity chef did a demonstration here about a week ago. This is a top-notch property. I was just in Sonoma two days ago. I'm in wine country this evening. There's not a lot of spots around that closes at midnight, but Bistro 101 does. It looks warm, clean, and kind of big in here. Boston Market used to have descent Rotisserie Chicken, until they permanently closed and shutdown most of their locations 4 years ago. Like other businesses that went out of business like Circuit City, Sears, CompUSA, Mervyn's, Fry's Electronics, Orchard Supply Hardware, Brookstone, Albertsons, Blockbuster, and Borders Bookstore; they're nonexistent and not relevant now, they need to get back to and concentrate on taking care of business instead of fooling around. This is also not Costco Rotisserie Chicken injected with chemicals and preservatives like phosphate, hydrolyzed casein, dextrose, monoglycerides, and diglycerides. It's not sitting in a plastic container or bag, baking under a lamp and PFAS leaching into it. Some people out there that can't afford a good source of protein would use that stuff in Chicken and Rice, and live off that. Some other people out there take the extra Chicken to make soup, noodles, or salad; but I just give it to my puppy. It's not a Holiday Turkey Sandwhich, that's the only exception. This is a Poulet Rôti, freshly roasted Chicken with creamy Macoroni & Cheese, and jus. One of the pretty girls working here told me this is her favorite dish after I got it. The roasted Chicken is exceptional, the skin was crunchy. The sauce was smacking. The Macoroni & Cheese is velvety. The best part was the Caramelized Asparagus, Carrot, and Broccolini. I didn't expect it to have Broccolini, and that was a good touch. This is a good meal before I go back to the South Bay Area tomorrow. I was thinking this was going to be a 4.2 stars, this could be a 4.4 stars on a good day, but I give this 4.3 stars. read more
