This place is tucked in between other businesses in a small building in the heart of Downtown Sacramento. It is a cute shop that sells breakfast and lunch items as well as some drip coffee. You order at the counter and wait off to the side until they make your order. You can watch them as they put together your food, too! I decided to go in and try one of their sandwiches, the chicken BLT. When I went in I was immediately greeted by the worker while also helping other customers at the counter. It is a very small shop, so I can imagine it getting crazy during lunch hour. I did come in at 12:30pm, so I was a bit surprised there weren't more people. I watched him make my sandwich and he put a lot of care into the whole process. The chicken BLT was so delicious. It came on a toasted rosemary bread, hickory bacon, and the chicken was still juicy. Each bite had so many flavor profiles. The chicken was well seasoned and the bacon was so good. And for the downtown prices, the sandwich was rather large! I had their breakfast burrito as well on a different day and that was also good. But the BLT definitely made me a fan of this shop. I am excited to try their other menu items. I will say be prepared to wait a bit if there's a lot of people. The worker who made my sandwich was the only one working at the time and he was not only making the food, but also handling the register and answering the phone without even breaking a sweat. The chimichurri cold cut sandwich is a 10/10!!! No notes. They use fresh ingredients and the bread was so good. I really liked the crunchy onion strips too, added some crunch. Now I'm only reviewing one item and the service I received here today. Which was awesome by the way. My friend came in to buy a breakfast burrito and decided to share half with me today. We asked the chef to cut it in half for us because we were sharing, and they cut it and gave us separate sauces. We pass by this location a lot but I haven't had a chance to try it. My friend betrayed me one day, and she tried this spot without me. Good thing she did because this burrito was delicious . It's hard to get us to try new places sometimes. Small mom and pop establishment, just around the corner from the Hyatt in downtown Sacramento. Food was delicious and price was very reasonable. Working downtown is more expensive than the suburbs so finding spots that you can go that are healthier and not gonna be super expensive is a must. I think Bistro Bravado has only been around for a little while and it is super busy sometimes. I take this as a sign if success. The last spot closed down because they retired from the food business so I was curious to see what went in. The food is much healthier than the other spots in the area and affordable. Breakfast is around 10 dollars and lunch is around 15. The place it self is extremely clean but you won't be able to eat inside.
