I've seen BJ's Restaurant when traveling but have not had a chance to try them until now. Love the space and great for families. They brought out a little snack of fruit and goldfish crackers for my son before our food came out which was a nice touch. The menu is pretty extensive and there is something for everyone. Portions are large. Had the prime rib, it was ok, not the best I've had but not the worst. My husband loved his pork chop. We will definitely be back. read more

Very large restaurant with outdoor seating that had the garage doors open, that was a nice set up. Went on Friday night at 8 o'clock and was told it would be a 20 minute wait, which we didn't have to wait that long. The service was slow, for being later on a Friday night. Started with the appetizer - the spinach artichoke dip which had a hot cheese melted on top, but the minute you uncovered that, it was cold dip underneath. Did love that there was more than enough chips which a lot of places don't seem to give you enough to finish the dip. The thin crust pizza was crispy on the outside, but when you got to the middle it wasn't as crispy thin crust as it looked in the picture. Seated promptly for our 5:30 reservation at a wheelchair accessible booth. Our server, Terry, was so pleasant and patient as the six of us decided on food and drink choices. Always with a lovely smile on her face! We had 3 southern chicken meals, a 1/2 rib dinner and 2 smash burger meals. The ribs came with a side of chili and it not only smelled wonderful but the consumer said it was great. We all had the free dessert and everyone loved it. Salted caramel for 4 and strawberry shortcake for 2. Total bill was unbelievable! My husband said, Mc Ds would cost more. As a wheelchair user, I can attest to the fact that the ramp to enter the restaurant is one of the nicest and smoothest I've ever experienced. In addition, the gender neutral handicap accessible bathroom was a welcome sight. Not often found in the restaurants of today. I highly recommend this great place in Brookfield. read more

I've just never had a good experience here. Went to one in California that was amazing and extremely kid friendly. Went for dinner tonight, even reserved a table for our medium sized group. The hostess tried sitting my twin 5 year olds in the bar and then was angry at us for saying we couldn't have our young children sitting in the bar at a high top. Food is a step above the Fridays it replace but service is always off and they always get several things in the order wrong. read more

C19 taught me one thing and that if your going to make a significant drive round trip is to call and make sure that they are open and if your going for a specific menu item to make sure that they are serving it. The guy at the hostess's stand does that ja#k a#s move when it's one person and try to not offer me a table and seat me at the bar and I tell him that I'm not spending $60+ dollars for lunch and a cocktail to sit at a bar seat. I went for the prime rib dinner and I know on Saturday places serve it at different starting times so before I make the 40 minute plus round trip drive out to Brookfield I called at 2:31 and I asked if the prime rib is being served right now and I get put on hold to have the guy tell me yes so I head over.I get there at 3pm and I order a cocktail and the prime rib dinner and the cocktail goes through but she can't get the prime rib to go through the pos machine so she disappears to the kitchen for a bit to return with the prime rib will not be ready for another hour and a half. I explained to her that I specifically called 30 minutes ago and I was told that it was available so how is it not available and she has no answer for me. At this time my cocktail hits my table and I say you can keep your cocktail because I'm not a spending single dime in this restaurant after completely wasting my time and I will spend my money somewhere else and I got up and walked out. This was completely BS when I did everything possible to make sure I would get what I specifically drove over for. One and done, swing and a miss. read more

We've been excited to dine here since hearing it was opening in Brookfield as we've been several times in Florida and the experience did not disappoint. We were greeted and seated quickly and server took our drink appetizer order right away. The server brought my daughter some goldfish crackers and fruit right away which was an awesome unexpected surprise. We got the Brewhouse Sampler to starlet which was really good and good portion size. My husband and I both opted for burgers and fries which was the special of the day and they were both very good. My daughter got a kids Mac n cheese which came with two sides and a drink. We also ordered the pizookie of the month which was birthday cake and when we lifted the cone sprinkles poured out. It was delicious! Best part was I had two rewards in my account (free appetizer and free dessert) and I was able to use both during one visit which is awesome. Highly recommend BJ's! read more

About 2 weeks after being open, some mistakes should have been corrected by now. I came right at opening on a Sunday morning, ordered food for 1 person at the bar by 11:17 and my food comes out around 11:50 am. This was rather odd to have such slow service at opening and was mentioned to a manager and I was happily given a desert coupon for a future visit. Like my salmon entree over all but for me I'd back off on the seasoning The multi page menu looked good to come back and revisit with " the training wheels taken off" in the future For a small group of customers, this restaurant is very pricey from " $25-30 per person " plus tips. read more

Been 4xs, each time I ordered the chicken piadia, it progressively got worse. The 1st time it was great, I just knew it would be a lunch go to... Today, I waited so I wouldn't be disappointed at work, good call. Took another 20 mins, and it's still all bad . Looks like a toasted thin cracker with a bit of meat and even less cheese and only in the middle. Once I returned my whole lunch after work, I spoke to the manager. We came here on a recommendation. I however cannot make a recommendation. My wife and I had a fish fry. No flavor, soggy, a bit greasy and too much breading. Generally prices were higher than what they should be. Quality is just not there. The atmosphere too was a failure. Some goofy music in the background but all you could hear was thumping of bass making it difficult to communicate and order food and inducing a headache. Sorry but I won't be back. The service was awful. We had to wait over twenty minutes every time even when we actually needed the waitress. She kept leaving saying she would check on things or bring us something and would never bring it or let us know. Our dinner took two and a half hours because of her service work. When we tried to pay, we had to get up and walk to her as she wouldn't return to the table, and she immediately walked into the kitchen when she saw us so she wouldn't have to speak to us and we couldn't pay for even longer. Finally we were seated at a table next to a chair full of ice cream, which remained there our entire dinner. We ordered a couple appetizers and waited an hour without being able to order another drink or even a water. When I finally hailed someone down to order a drink, the drink arrived long after dinner (at which point I no longer even wanted it.) I have never spent almost 2 hours in a restaurant for apps and drinks! The bathroom was filled with employees, but not toilet paper! Long line because 1 stall was closed. We ate at BJ's on a recent Saturday night. Evening got off to a bumpy start when we learned they had lost our reservation. The hostess indicated she thought she knew which employee had lost it, admitting they were new & has been known to write down reservations on pieces of paper then lose them. We tried BJ's for their burger night. So the burgers were really good and cooked just right. Fries were good too. The problem was the bacon on our burgers was nearly raw and just oozing grease. The restaurant wasn't busy so not sure what happened with the bacon. The menu is big and we may go back to try some other things. Decided to give it a try as my husband has had good experiences in other states. Wish we could say the same. Positive would be it is a nice space, the bar with tv's is great for watching a game. Good beer list, but the cocktail list seemed gimmicky. To be out of several key menu items on a Saturday at 6:30 is disappointing, the people at the bar next to us also had to make different choices because of that. Burger was ok, but nothing special. Wedge salad was ok, but I have had better bacon and bleu cheese dressing elsewhere. Chili was supposed to have been made with pale ale, could not taste that or much else, very boring. I mean, it wasn't awful and we didn't get sick, so there's that. We got a beer flight and the beers were pretty good. One of our choices was out and the waitress just replaced it with another one without asking which we would like, which was odd but it ended up being good beer so that was fine. We had our three young kids with us and they get antsy. The kids meals came out in an acceptable amount of time. Not fast, but acceptable. I ordered the sirloin steak with cheesy potatoes and brussel sprouts. Sirloin was not good (just tasted sort of like a Salisbury steak) but they have an extremely large menu so they can't win 'em all I guess. The sides were good. My husband ordered an entree caesar salad. The waitress asked if he wanted the salad as his entree and he said yes. When it arrived it was very small so he left the restaurant still hungry. When we got our bill we discovered it had been entered as a side salad, even after she specifically asked. We wanted to try their pizookies as they seemed to be their niche item and they were advertised all over the table and menu. We ordered it before we were done eating our entrees. Twenty minutes goes by and the waitress says ours is now sixth in line to be made in the kitchen. After twenty minutes, we are sixth.....Our kids are about to start running laps around the restaurant at this point, so we cancelled it and were disappointed to not get to try it. We can't just hang out for half an hour waiting for a dessert. Desserts should come out fast, especially if they are your claim to fame item. Overall, it was fine I guess. Our waitress tried really hard but the food was just coming out so slow and it was pretty pricey too. None of the food was good enough to be a reason for us to return and the service was so slow I wouldn't dare come back with my kids. Ambience was pleasant with some background noise but for 2 people comfortable. We enjoyed the strawberry topped salad and a dessert option . There were three of us in the party. It was a Saturday about 5:00 pm. We were seated within five minutes. To be honest, I didn't have real high expectations. To my surprise, it was one of the best experiences that I've had in a long time. Why? The waitress Marlena did her job in an excellent manner. The only possible negative that I would note is that our entrees took a bit longer to be delivered to the table than I would have liked. I had the Steakhouse Salad. The portion was large (and good). I ended up taking about half of it home. My wife had the Ahi Tuna Salad which she said was excellent. My son had a salad and wings. He thought that was good as well. The menu was varied and seemed to cover both pub food and what one might want for a real dinner. We did split a Salted Caramel pizookie and it didn't last long (because it was so good). After a long wait the wings came and were so over fried they were almost inedible. Mac n cheese bites never came so we had to have that taken off the bill. Got an ahi tuna salad for $21 and it comes with basically no tuna on it. Absolute rip off for a bowl of lettuce. We ordered mozzarella sticks for our starter, the were fried perfectly, Unfortunately they had very little seasoning in the batter, subsequently there was not much taste to them. My wife had the Mahi Mahi tacos, she loved them, my daughter was happy with her spaghetti and meat balls too. I ordered the fish fry, and like the Mozzarella sticks the batter lacked seasoning and was bland. The fry's were good. Server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The place was crowded but that's not a good reason we were there for about an hour and forty five minutes, we waited at least 20 minutes for our desert. Over all maybe a 3.5 is more accurate but 4 stars is too much this time. We'll be back to try more of the menu. Probably won't get anything fried next time. read more

The gentleman who seated us was extremely stoic and did not say a word. The waitress was extremely friendly and had a nice smile and was very pleasant. Ordered a deep dish pizza. I don't think this restaurant knows what deep dish pizza is. There was no tomato paste, no cheese and it basically tasted like a Pizza Hut pan pizza. We also had the spaghetti and meatballs, which was delicious. I tried one of their craft sodas, and it was OK, no complaints, however, it was nothing spectacular. Just OK. We had great service,but the portions were pretty small and prices were high. The food wasn't bad but certainly not what I would expect for the prices that they charged. The place was maybe half full and looked to be well staffed. We have been to BJ's in Ohio and found the food there to be much better. A good example would be my 1/2 order of ribs. The ribs were decent, while the onion rings that came with them were over cooked and very greasy to the point of being inedible. We most likely won't be going back. read more
