Made a return visit to BJ's with my brother, mixed reviews on the food this time. I had the chicken parmigiana my brother had the fish fry. The chicken dish was a good size and tasty, but could have benefited from a bit more sauce and mozzarella cheese topping. This dish was a lot better than the last one mentioned in the posting above. Not so for the second dish. The fish looked good but it was over battered for the size of the piece of fish and very greasy. Deep frying at too low of a temperature might have allowed the batter to absorb the grease. Fries were fine. As far as service, at a moderately busy time, things were not quite as good as on our last visit. We were seated promptly, no waiting, but the hostess was far from welcoming or friendly. Our server seemed nice to start, but was inattentive after our order arrived. On check out I mentioned I had a e-gift card which I showed her. She said no problem, got you covered. When she brought the bill it did not included the gift card amount. When I mentioned it she became somewhat indignant and said she didn't see a gift card. She looked at the card again and recalculated the bill. So it looks as if this establishment still has some work to do as it works out the wrinkles encountered by any new business. I'd still give it a 3/5 stars rating, and would be more than likely open to visit again in the future. This is my first time eating at this restaurant. The food was good. The service was great. It is a new restaurant for this area. So I knew it was going to be crowded. We arrived around 4:30 PM. The atmosphere is a lot like champs restaurant in Brookfield. If you don't like restaurants with a loud atmosphere, then this is not the place for you. The service was great. The food was good. I had their slow roasted bone- in original sauce, chicken wings as an appetizer. I loved it! I also had their clam chowder. It was interesting because they don't have chunks of potato in the soup. it is puréed. So I like it better because I don't really do well with too much cream. For the entrée, I had their tri-tip sirloin wedge salad, which was also good, but the bacon was not great on it. Overall for the price I was satisfied, probably won't go back during dinner hour, just because it's so loud in there. Kiralee was a fantastic server! She gave us helpful tips when we ordered, made sure our beverages were topped off, and when one of my friends said she loved chocolate, Kiralee teased that she had added a lot of extra chocolate sauce to the mini pizookie my friend ordered. We were told that there was an hour long wait and when we received a text message it said that the wait was only 20 minutes. We went back to ask about the wait, they said that it was a problem with their system and it was still 1 hour. So we left and went to another restaurant, and after we got seated, we received a text that our table is ready about 12 minutes after the text. We went to BJ's in OKC and really enjoyed it. We thought we would try BJ's in our own home city after a game of golf. Well it started off not so good as the seats and table was not clean. I ordered the Tito's Moscow mule and it was not good at all! The ginger beer tastes like syrup. HOWEVER, the food was GOOD! We enjoyed the BJ's quinoa chicken bowl, avocado egg rolls, and the lemon pepper wings were all delicious! In addition, our sever Grace was really nice!!! She was the best! read more

The menu is amazing.There is something for everybody. But unfortunately the food Was not good and not coordinated out of the kitchen very well. Almost everything was cold. Our order was messed up and the server blamed it on the kitchen Which I don't think was true. It was very busy And I feel like our server was overwhelmed and didn't have Time to take care of us as he should have. We found it almost impossible to just get a glass of water. Literally asked five times. I don't think they should overseat people if the servers can't handle the volume. I have been here 5 times. The greeters are always there and I always get seated right away. All the waitstaff is very friendly and I haven't had any bad service. I'm honestly shocked at some of the reviews. I believe the food here is very good. I have had something different at every visit and loved it all. I have recommended the place to a bunch of people and they thought the food was great also. I am going for lunch today and for Prime Rib tonight so I will update if my experience changes. read more

this was our 3rd trip to BJ's but it is probably our last. BJ's is 0-3. our server was good, food tasted good but the issues are with the kitchen service and the temperature of the restaurant. the section we were in was freezing cold. The other issue is with the kitchen service. we ordered a soup and salad for starters, but they brought our entrees out first. we sent them back butit seemed like they just left them under a warming light. we might get take out from here but will not be doing a dine in again read more

I've been to this place 3 times and each experience was worse than the last. The general concerns with the place all center around the same things. Staff, staff & staff. The last time I was there, my date & I sat at the bar. We arrived at 7:30pm and it wasn't very busy but busy enough where the bartender felt it should take 10 minutes before coming over to us. It was a Friday night and the 3 workers behind the bar started doing clean up duty at 8pm instead of pay attention to us. They screwed up our order, they couldn't figure out the register and it took forever to get in and out of the place. My prime rib was awful. The music was loud rap music and it didn't fit the crowd. I ordered a pizooki to go and the bartender forgot about us for 25 minutes. We got up and left. We will not be back. Had a beer and it was very warm- had to ask for a new one. Ordered ahi poke as an appetizer, it took 25 minutes plus. Had to ask for silverware and plates once it arrived. Our entrees came out a couple minutes after the appetizer. My veggies were almost raw with no seasoning, and my prime rib hardly had any flavor to it. Good food and service. We had the glazed salmon and pizza, which tasted very good. I gave it 3 stars because of the poor wait list issues. I called on a Tuesday to make a reservation. They don't take them, but she told me to call early on the day we wanted to go there and they would put me on a wait list. So I called on Saturday at noon to be put on a wait list for 6pm. When we got to the restaurant about 5:45pm, they had my name and info. I asked how long the wait was and he said 1 HOUR. That's ridiculous; all they do when you get there is add your name to the current list. This is not the right way to get people in. I could have just gone to the restaurant at 6pm and the wait would still be an hour. read more

This review is specifically for two people who I was wildly impressed by; Billy and Eric. I'm a former bartender coming from many years of bartending in Manhattan. When I tell you that you have two extremely strong bartenders working for your company, I truly hope you take that to heart and you do everything in your power to keep them behind your bar. Erics ability to keep calm under a Friday night 7 PM high volume, while making two different drinks, pouring a tap beer and taking our drink order, all with a smile on his face is something you only see in New York City. Billy's insane speed on well and his consistency with his drinks, the color of each cocktail (yes, I've been a bartender for that many years that I notice the difference In color when it comes to consistency) etc. is remarkable. Not to mention, not only was Billy on well, ripping through drink tickets...he was STILL interacting with people at the BAR, waiting on them and personalizing conversations with individuals. Now I know I didn't meet the rest of your FOH but I can say this with absolute confidence because I've been a part of opening new restaurants in the past and these two bartenders are keeping not only your bar afloat, but your overall guest experience as well. Both of these men could easily get a job in New York City, they are incredible and I would recommend you give them any date they request off for in the future :) A bar manager in Milwaukee will walk into your restaurant and will notice their skills and take them very quickly. Shameful, no other word. I am familiar with BJs from other regions and have a friend that is a Director for the brand. Upon entering, I encountered four hosts that were doing nothing but were clearly inconvenienced by my presence. I asked for a table for four and despite the restaurant being half empty, was told that it was a 90 minute wait. No apology, no concern. When I said, "ok, no thanks", some of the host burst into laughter. Apparently not being able to offer basic customer service is funny. I am not one to review places, but this place by far offered the most interesting experience I've ever had. First we had to wait 10 minutes for a table (understandable for a busy time) but quite literally half of the restaurant was empty. Second, the tables around us had dirty dishes that sat there until we left... Third, we ordered appetizers and when the food came, we realized we never got silverware. No biggie, so we asked for some. The server told us, and I quote, "sorry, we don't have any that are rolled up" and walked away. We were a little in shock, like are we supposed to eat our salads and other food with, our hands? So we had to ask a second waitress for silverware. They disappeared and never came back. We then had to walk up to the bar and ask for silverware from the bartender, which still took 10 minutes to receive. So mind you, our food sat at the table for 30 minutes before we got any silverware to eat with. Absolutely wild. When the main food finally came, we ALSO noticed that our table had no condiments. So what do you think we did. Ding ding ding, asked our server for some, and he brought it to us AFTER we finished our meal. HOORAY. At least the condiments made it to the table. When it came to paying the bill. We asked our waiter probably 3 different times if he could bring the check. Never happened. So we walked up to the checkin table by the front door in hopes to pay, and they said we had to wait for our waiter... we explained the situation of how our waiter won't bring us the bill, and she huffed, walked away, and went to find our waiter to complete the transaction. Two friends and I met for an early dinner, 5 PM, at BJ's. This is the first time any of us had been at this restaurant. Ambience was nice. Reminded me a lot of outback steakhouse. Our service was OK I guess. Our server definitely needed more training. Two of us ordered ribeye steak dinners, and one of us ordered the fillet dinner. I sent my ribeye steak back, it was grossly over seasoned. The other two people at my table were finished with their dinner when I finally got my medium rare steak back from the kitchen. I ordered it unseasoned and that's how it came. However, the char on my steak was greatly unpleasant, I would call it burnt, not charred, my side of asparagus was as dry as straw. I did not want to send my meal back for a second time since the other two people were finished eating. We did try one of their desserts. It was the brownie with the ice cream and the salted caramel sauce. That was very good. There was no reason for my second steak to take so long. I ordered it medium rare, that's about three minutes per side on a super hot grill and I'm sure they already had one on the grill for someone else. This would not be my first choice of places to eat, but I wouldn't say no if I was invited. I would just order something else. Or maybe have dessert for dinner! read more

When we arrived, 5-6 employees were actively engaged in some sort of conversation at the hostess stand. After patiently waiting several minutes we were finally acknowledged. Hostess advised us that there would be a 15 minute wait, even though I observed available tables throughout the restaurant. After 20 minutes, I conformed the hostess who then was able to find us an available seating in the bar right adjacent to the bar access point. So glad to be seated in the bar area because we were able to use the happy hour menu which I think is a real bargain. My wife and I each had individual 4 slice pizzas with up to 4 toppings. Since I like anchovies, I was thrilled to get my own. The pizzas were really very good. Our server, Cristian, was excellent. He was menu knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and very personable. During our meal, I observed some trash on the floor next to a trash container next to the bar access point. A busser came to empty the trash and never bothered to pick up the pieces on the floor, neither did the bartenders. Noise level is on the high side. We would definitely revisit this restaurant but only during happy hour when the menu options are a real bar. The date of our visit was May 9th and we were there about 5:30. read more
