Update: I have since been contacted and received my full refund. Original: I've eaten here multiple times over the years and have been satisfied; unfortunately, my last encounter with them has soured the good memories. I scheduled a delivery for family lunch the Saturday before Mother's Day for an early celebration. Ordered the tri-tip and ribs family bundle, vegetarian pizza, a couple of pizookies, and drinks. Unfortunately when the day came and we got the delivery, half the ribs, all of the tri-tip, AND the pizza was missing, so definitely not enough food. I called the restaurant. They said they couldn't offer another delivery but they can do pickup for the missing items. Didn't work for us so we requested the refund and ordered some pizzas elsewhere. BJ rep said he would call me back after investigating. He got back to me relatively quickly, apologized and offered a full refund. Awesome. He advised I probably wouldn't see it until the next day because it was a big amount and it'd have to be approved by corporate which was fine. A week goes by, I don't see anything. I send a message via the contact us form on the website. Nothing. The pizookies were good at least. The sides that we actually got were just okay. On the phone, rep was nice. Wish the outcome matched the talk though. read more

Typical chain restaurant atmosphere. This isn't the one I usually go to but I've been here 4 or 5 times. I've always had good service and even if a mistake is made it is quickly resolved. It's at the mall so it's usually packed, but in my experience the wait has never been more than 20 min. I recommend downloading the app and adding your name to the preferred waitlist or calling ahead to add your name, that helps a lot. The deep dish pizza is always good but now that I'm working to stay low carb these days I like the salmon, blackened. I don't like the broccoli here (this time around was my second time giving it a chance) but I love the asparagus. Next time around I'll be subbing double asparagus with my meal. I'm sure I'll be back. If you're meeting people on a weekend get there a little early to find a parking spot. Since Round One opened the area is more busy than it already was. read more

Then when it did finally come out, I had to wait for two of my friends food to come out about 7 minutes later and my food was starting to get a little cold. I wish Yelp had a zero star option. 2 hours. An hour to be seated (told 25 minutes while groups arriving after us were seated) and a full hour after ordering food to get mediocre burgers and chicken sandwiches. Our WOC AAPI was last to be served by a full 20 minutes. What's going on here? Terrible experience. I guess I should have set my expectations lower to decrease my disappointment. We had not eaten at BJ's for a few years. We came here and approached the counter to put our names down to get seated. The lady who was seating was too busy talking to a coworker away from the counter to notice us standing there. When she noticed us she came over but only after finishing what she was talking about. We were seated and noticed the same lady gossiping with coworkers and a coworker that was not working in the back of the restaurant in front of where we were seated. It was noticeably unprofessional. For our meal we ordered a burger and fries, and also the ahi tuna salad. My salad was good and I would order it again. My boyfriend's food came warm and so by the time he got to the end, everything was cold. He said that it was good. The meal was decent. Our server was nice and attentive. Terrible service. Came in tonight after work wanting a drink and an appetizer. Service was horrible. The waiter took my order,didn't ask if I wanted water. I usually go here on a fluke, either for happy hour or because I'm craving a pizookie. Their happy hour is from 3pm-7pm I believe. They have draft beers and wine for less that $10, I think it was about $3-$6 per beer or wine. I know they also have cocktails on the happy hour, but I have yet to try one of them just because I don't really like mixed drinks. As for their pizookie's... Orgasmic. I mean of course, you can make your own cookies and get some ice cream together. But it's not the same to me... The cookie is so moist and hot, it goes really well with the cold ice cream. They have oreo, chocolate chip, macadamian nut, red velvet flavors, etc... Red velvet is my favorite! So far, the customer service has been great. I haven't had any complaints! Maybe next time I'll have an appetite and order something off the menu for a change, other than having dessert and alcohol lol. read more

The service was terrible, food was mediocre, and the bathroom was dirty with no toilet paper. This was the dirtiest, most disgusting restaurant I've ever seen. The floor was sticky and they just left the food piled underneath the tables. Most of the utensils provided with our table were dirty. I hope the kitchen was better kept than the front of the house, but I wouldn't be surprised if this place had a low health score with how dirty it is. Showed employee and manager screen shots with above info and pending charge on my credit card. Had a fun evening with 4 mom friends! The large variety of offerings was very helpful in choosing our dishes. The Zucchini pasta with chicken was very yummy and flavorful. I always second guess ordering from here, because there are errors so often. I used to work in food, so, I get it. Placed an order on doordash, burger and fries, and ribs with 2 sides (rice and fries). The poor dasher had to wait at least a half hour (very common at a place like BJs, Cheesecake Factory). Got the order, and see the burger, ribs, rice and one order of fries. And yes, the dasher is supposed to check the order (I dash, so I know) but I'd imagine that if he did check, he'd see two entrees and two sides and just assume that the order was right. Forth time here. Always seems to have new waiters. Forgot about my order. I ordered lemon pepper wings and when they were finally brought out, they had a dab of seasoning. The waitress even said "oh yea they don't really season the wings. Overall from my experiences the service is not great, the food is okay (always delayed or forgotten). It's convenient if you are by the mall or just want to sit at the bar and order some drinks. I do not recommend coming here. I prefer Jacks in pleasant hill for dinner and Buffalo Wild Wings for a beer and wings over this place any day. read more

BJ's usually leaves me disappointed, but today's visit was actually pretty good. Of course everyone and their mom was here watching the Raiders play, blah!, but luckily the wait was only 10-15 minutes. It took quite a while for anyone to greet us and asks for our drink orders, I'd say a good 5-10 minutes went by and in my opinion, that is way toooooo long to wait to be greeted. When Taylor finally came by we ordered a white peach margarita and berry burst cider, both were absolutely refreshing and DELICIOUS! My friend ordered the tacos, which she thought were pretty tasty and I chose the blackened salmon with veggies and mashed potatoes. I was so surprised with how flavorful the salmon was and it was perfectly cooked and flakey! There was a nice butter sauce on top which really just made it super bomb! We of course finished lunch off with a chocolate chip pazookie, which was BOMB! How the heck do they make them so darn good?! Our server Taylor must have been busy because she didn't check on us at all. Pretty much once the food arrived, she vanished. My friend and I were pretty busy chopping it up but it would have been nice if Taylor had checked in once or twice. I'm very disappointed in BJ's Restaurant. In 20/20 I reviewed this restaurant at five stars for their great service and food. Unfortunately now I have to say that they don't answer their phones promptly they don't give you what you order they make sure that if they don't have to include things in your order that they don't like utensils any dressings any sides that were supposed to come with your entree in fact I didn't even get the meatballs for the $20 order of spaghetti and jumbo meatballs that I ordered. I don't think it's worth it to come back here anymore after I've seen this place be so great and then fall this hard. Even in the lobby, I was told to step aside out of the way of being in the wrong line that was really rude. They should have their teenage employees learn some manners. read more

First of all, I typically love going to BJs for their pizza, appetizers, lasagna, etc. But today....I decided to try their burgers and......this was a huge mistake. First of all, they got my order wrong, but that is not the reason for the one star. The bun was super dry like it has been out for some time before putting the burger together. The patty was uneventful, no flavor, no juice, and to top it all off....super tiny. Despite loving this place, I was VERY disappointed. It was as if they put no effort into making this burger. Oh my gosh last night we were celebrating and my family and I had a wonderful experience our waitress name was Nathalia or Natalie something similar to my name which she thought was cool. Service was above and beyond, even though she had more tables she kept checking in on us and other's it seemed busy enough to be forgotten but not with her. We had the ribs, nachos, and more stuff to share. With patience and kindness she made sure my kiddos were taken care of too. One of them wanted a root beer and it seemed like they were out so she anticipated our request and brought out their black cherry soda which was perfect for my little one. 6/24/23 In response to management response- I take offense to your response since per Nathalia P the manager was the one who informed her of the incorrect order and delay. So, in that respect, management or manager was aware and did nothing at the time. Like I said there are great servers there and we are past Covid so no reason to employ disrespectful and frankly crappy servers. I still tip since runners, bar tenders and kitchen still deserve tips but get better servers. From the beginning it felt as though we were not welcome and wasting her time. She never came back to check on us. Food runners came and brought our food 5 dishes total. One order was wrong and sent back with the food runner. Nathalia came back to finally ask if everything was ok, said it wasn't her fault the one dish was wrong. By the time she check though the 4 correct plates were about finished with their meals. We asked if the dish that was incorrect hadn't been start to please just take it off the check. If it was ready though to please pack it up to go. Of course it came to the table. Once a to go box was ask for it seemed to be a inconvenience. We then asked for a split check which she was unable to do and ask one of the guest to circle their dishes. Absolutely unacceptable and she should have been able to split the tab without again making us feel like we were unwelcome and wasting her time. There was no effort to make up for the rude attitude or delay in one parties dish other than "sorry you didn't get to eat". No Mimi dessert on the house no attempt at anything. I just ordered on line again to have delivered to my home through a app. I bought calamari and also ribs. I thought that I'd try there Calamari for my Lunch. Well let me tell you. Not again from them ever. The sauces were no good. The red sauce was like tomato sauce and the other wasn't that bad but not good either. So I'll never order that again. I Love the Ribs and Rice Pilaf so I'll be back for more again someday. Oh please check the bag for napkins as this is the third time that I've gotten NO NAPKINS in the bag. I went early to try and beat the crowd but was surprised that there weren't many waiting at 5:30 on a warm Saturday evening. I thought that maybe the showing of vaccine records might have stopped a few from going. Turns out it was probably something else that I also experienced. We got seated promptly and the waitress was there immediately to take our drink order. Alls good and a few minutes later back for food order. Nice! Everything's prompt. Kids stuff comes out quickly but 30 mins had passed and nothing for our adult dinners. Finally both entrees arrive. Mine was a med/rare prime rib that was waaay undercooked and basically raw. My wife's was sliders but they put none of the stuff that was supposed to come on it (grilled onions, lettuce, catsup- I checked the menu) and just 3 pickels for 4 sliders- basically just meat and a bun. Mine was actually cold in the middle it was so undercooked. The waiter came by and we explained this issues and he cheerfully took back the meals for correction. 25 mins later mine returned after being grilled (not how you want a prime rib but admittedly it was good flavor but a bit tough) and my wifes had a couple extra pickles and raw onions- not a grilled onion or lettuce in site. My spinach tasted like someone seasoning it was pouring salt in and the lid came off. So salty it was basically inedible. Now to be fair, the waitstaff were doing the best they can and the problems 100% lies in the kitchen. They comp'd dessert for our troubles and apologized for the issues (that weren't really theirs). To the manager, you really need to get folks in the kitchen who know at least something about cooking food! I know most places are finding it difficult to hire staff so that partially may be the issue but obviously no ones monitoring the quality of food the kitchen is putting out. Let's hope this is a temporary problem and things get back to normal as I've always had good experiences here in the past. read more

We waited 50 minutes for a table although they told us 30min we were ok with that because it's Father's day we expected it to be busy. We ordered and after waiting another hour we still did not have our food, we then proceeded to leave on the way from the table I asked to speak with a manager to express what happened and our frustration, also that a couple orders placed after ours had eatenand one group finished eating and had left, the manager VERY nonchalantly said our order had been ready but no one brought it to us, stating they had been in the middle of shift change so he had just started. And just looked at me with a blank stare, didn't offer a free desert,drink discounted meal NOTHING, I'm trying my best not to believe my race played a factor in such horrible service.
