Chocolate Chocolate Chip Pancakes with bacon
    Valerie A.

We came here for a birthday breakfast for 8. I haven't been for a while and we were pleasantly surprised that it has been remodeled since our last visit. It's clean and comfy inside. Terrell took great care of us, getting all our special requests and keeping us hydrated and caffeinated. There are so many choices on the menu and we all got what we wanted. I had the pumpkin spice pancakes that were delicious. Birthday girl loved her chocolate chip pancakes. It was quieter than i expected at 9am on Saturday but by the time we left it was filling up.

I was in the mood for breakfast for dinner on a recent Sunday night and not in the mood to cook. So I headed on over to IHOP. This IHOP is located on Iron Point Drive super close off Highway 50. The building is tucked in the back of the shopping plaza next to two hotels. The interior was modern, well maintained, and clean. As we walked in, it was oddly quiet. Only two customers and a couple of servers. Our server was fantastic. Attentive. Hubs ordered a cheeseburger and onion rings. Of course I had to sample his plate as well. Pretty darn tasty. Juicy, flavorful patty. I ordered a steak dinner instead of breakfast. The steak was a 10 oz T bone. I was asked how I wanted it cooked. I stated medium rare. But the cut is super thin. Not much thickness, so I it came out medium well as I expected. Sadly, the steak lacked flavor. It came with two sides and a slice of grilled butter bread. Choice of sides include pancakes. Instead I opted for a green salad and steamed brocilli. Getting in my greens.

Date: Saturday, November 16th, 2024 Party of: 2 Meal: Dinner Takeaway Time Ordered: around 10:30pm Time Picked Up: about 20 mins later How Ordered: via IHOP website *Breakfast Sampler ($17.49): 2 Over Easy, 2 Bacon, 2 Sausage, 2 Ham, Crispy Hash Browns, 2 Buttermilk Pancakes *Spicy Poblano Omelette ($17.59): Egg Whites, Buttered Toast, Whole Wheat Toast, Butter On The Side It was the last time the hubby and I would be heading up to Tahoe for a while. I like trying new spots. And the options are rather limited late at night as we get closer to SLT. We leave at different times each weekend, so I tend to look around for spots that close at midnight. When IHOP popped up, I figured why not give them a shot? It was easy to place a takeout order via their website. And I found a coupon for 20% off, so saved $7.02 on the items above. The good. They let you do an egg white omelette at no extra cost. And the bacon and sausage were pretty good. Plus, finding the 20% off coupon code was nice. The bad. Idk if my memory is wrong, but I remember IHOP being much tastier. My omelette was a good size, but where was the flavor? Idk how they managed to make an omelet with so many ingredients taste one note and bland. I added lots of tabasco for contrast. The hubs wasn't impressed either. He would have rather had us order from another spot that starts with the letter D and rhymes with Benny's. The very bad. They gave me white toast instead of wheat. And it was hard and crumbly. Almost like a crouton. And there was no butter in sight. Or pancake syrup for that matter. We had some leftover jam packets from another takeaway order and ended up using those. The pancakes were too plain by themselves. There wasn't much that was good about this meal. Was gonna give them two stars for the food. But minus one for the wrong toast and missing butter and syrup. Just had a great breakfast for two. Full plates. Excellent. The service was super expedient and super friendly. Highly recommend for a filling breakfast. Thanks.

Sorry but this is the last place I would go for food, it was a joke. I'll keep it short. Food was really slow for everyone in there So many flies it was very annoyin And the smell was strong raw sewage which has been like it for weeks by lookin at the comments Trying to disguise the stench with burnin incense was not goin to cut it

Complete waste of money. Pancakes are great as expected but $5 for an orange juice should be ILLEGAL.

I liked my lavender iced latte and like the fact that they serve it in a large mug if you plan to drink it at the cafe, it had that extra, comforting touch that I love when hanging at a coffee shop. The room we sat in had a beautiful cherry tree draped in cherry blossoms as well as a cute neon sign, perfect for pics, as well as comfy chairs, a love seat and a table as well as a large window that brought in plenty of sunlight. There's another room on the left side of the cafe but I didn't have a chance to check it out since we left to get lunch at Belly. According to my friend, the room is gorgeous as well; I'll have to check it out next time I visit. They had a lot of scrumptious-looking dessert but they were a little out of my budget. They're beautiful though, and I'd try one for a special occasion (the coffee bean dessert cost $20). The cashier (owner, I'm guessing?) was welcoming and helpful when I said it was my 1st time there and pointed out a list of specials. I'll have to try the cherry blossom and banana drinks in the future! They have private shared parking with a bunch of other businesses; I found a spot easily on a recent Saturday morning. Thank you!

If you are looking for wonderful pictures, wonderful ambience, then this place is totally worth the visit. However if you are looking to eat delicious food, then this place is definitely not it. Their crepes are premade and after visiting them 2 times, the only thing I think they are doing is reheating and serving them. First time we went in, we ordered the Ricotta Crepes. These came in looking beautiful but they were extremely hot on one side and cold (almost from a refrigerator) on other side. Clearly precooked & refrigerated but then microwaved and the whipped cream and fruit compote was added on top. Next time, the same crepe was at least warm overall but the chicken mushroom crepe definitely was reheated in a pan. Coffees are pretty basic as well. But you overall pay a premium for the nice decor. I feel that some other places such as Julian's in Folsom and CT In Cameron Park were much better taste wise and if not for just the decor and ambiance I'd totally avoid this place.

There was plenty of seating on the shady patio, but it was really hot outside, so we opted to wait for a table inside. We had a drink and watched the NBA finals on the TVs (there was no sound so it wasn't noisy). I tried the Mustang Sally cocktail and it was well balanced and delicious! We were seated for dinner pretty quickly. The only problem I had was deciding what to order. The luau shrimp salad? Meatball sub? I finally decided on the lobster mac and cheese. While the portion wasn't large, it was delicious! Creamy and mild with fresh lobster (not fishy) and garlicy breadcrumbs. My husband got the ribeye and was thin but large with great seasoning and veggies. I'm not a big steak fan but I really liked it. We ended up grabbing some beignets to go for the kids, which were really tasty and came with 3 dipping sauces (our favorite was the Berry, although we ended up eating most of them without sauce). The atmosphere was upscale, but very casual, quiet and fun. We saw families with young children, couples on dates, and friends enjoying a meal together. It was the perfect vibe that we were looking for, comfortable, but classy. And the food was high-quality and tasty. We will definitely be back!

Upon entering, the hostess with the brown curly hair was noticeably rude and unwelcoming, which isn't the first impression you'd hope for when celebrating a special occasion. The food, however, was outstanding and was definitely the highlight of the evening. Every dish we ordered was well-prepared and delicious. Service was a mixed experience. While our server was polite, the service was quite slow throughout the meal, despite the restaurant being fairly empty at the time. Overall, the excellent food helped make up for some of the service issues, but the rude greeting and slow service took away from what should have been a memorable anniversary dinner. I hope management addresses these concerns, as the kitchen is clearly doing a great job.

He was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and had the perfect personality for the atmosphere. Great service can truly elevate a dining experience, and Ryan did exactly that. The food was delicious. I ordered the fish and chips, and the fish was exceptional. The batter was light, crispy, and perfectly seasoned--honestly, I enjoyed it even more than traditional beer-battered fish. The fish itself was flaky and cooked just right. As for the fries, I'm personally a steak-fry enthusiast, so shoestring fries aren't usually my favorite. It would have been nice to have an option to choose between fry styles, but that's me. I also ordered a chocolate martini, which was absolutely delicious. The owner personally prepared it, and it was rich, smooth, and hit the spot . Between the cute ambiance, excellent service, and tasty food, Mimosa House made for a great dining experience. Still had to wait 30 minutes even with a reservation. The restaurant is very large and split into sections. We were seated at a tall table with tall chairs in the bar area. Not very comfortable if you plan to stay a bit and talk or enjoy your meal. The atmosphere was noisy and the more alcohol served, the louder it became. I'm not a morning drinker (don't drink at all anymore actually) but the sparkling wine and champagne menu was very impressive. Lots of choices and ways to flavor your beverage if you like it fruity. Mimosa House is the name of the place afterall and they offer about 30 different flavors. The menu is HUGE. An actual book of pages and pages of breakfast & brunch items. I must have changed my mind 100 times while trying to decide whether to have breakfast or lunch. Our waiter was nice enough and must have thought we were all OK enough for him to drop a few F-bombs while tending to our table. I wasn't offended but a few at our table commented on it. Everyone at our table chose breakfast items, from strawberry French toast to chorizo skillets. I was the odd one and had the Mimosa House Club ($22): It had the third layer of bread which no one takes time with anymore but the "house spread," a cream cheese layer they add was just not right. Lettuce, tomato, Swiss cheese, avocado, bacon, sliced turkey, & shaved ham were good on the grilled sourdough but I wouldn't order again unless the cream cheese was removed. It was served with fries but I subbed a bowl of fresh fruit. Lots of vegetarian options and even the Kid's menu was decent. Some gluten-free options too. Parking can be hard. All street with nothing directly out front and handicapped spots nearby is sparse. No stairs or steps inside or outside but it is tight and cramped inside the restaurant. They have nice patio seating and I might have chosen that if I were the one making the reservation. Overall a nice place for breakfast & drinks.

The service was fantastic from start to finish. We had the chance to chat with Julian himself along with a couple other staff members, and everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. The stars of the meal were definitely the breakfast wrap and the bacon, egg & cheese croissant. The breakfast wrap had the perfect balance of scrambled eggs, bacon, seasoned potatoes, avocado, and cheddar cheese. Everything worked together without any one ingredient overpowering the others, and the salsa on the side was a great addition. Honestly, it's one of the best breakfast burritos/wraps I've had. And the croissant... wow. It was absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the croissant was light, flaky, and buttery, and every bite was packed with flavor. The Nutella crepe was also very good. The crepe itself was perfectly made, though there was a little more Nutella than I personally prefer. Next time I'll probably ask for less, but that's purely a matter of taste. The avocado toast was the only item that didn't quite hit the mark for me. It was good, but the honey flavor dominated the dish and drowned out some of the other ingredients. I'd love to taste a little more balance there. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality made for a great breakfast. We'll definitely be back, and I'll be dreaming about that croissant until then.
