[Day 3] Split Decision Breakfast: 2 eggs your way, 2 bacon strips, 2 pork sausage links, 2 buttermilk pancakes, 1 slice of their Thick N Fluffy French Toast (4/5). Their syrups were good too! Service was a little slow, not because our waitress was bad, she was actually great but there were only 2 servers for the whole side of the restaurant so they were over worked. We came here for a birthday breakfast for 8. I haven't been for a while and we were pleasantly surprised that it has been remodeled since our last visit. It's clean and comfy inside. Terrell took great care of us, getting all our special requests and keeping us hydrated and caffeinated. There are so many choices on the menu and we all got what we wanted. I had the pumpkin spice pancakes that were delicious. Birthday girl loved her chocolate chip pancakes. Andrea was incredibly patient and took the time to walk me and my friends through the menu. She gave great recommendations based on both her personal favorites and the most popular customer choices, which made ordering so much easier. I had to review this I hop as this place has turned around since I first visited 3 years ago and now is an Awesome breakfast!!! Last time I was there, we walked out along with another table that was next to us after sitting for almost for 20 minutes and never even getting water. We visited for Mother's Day and went back again today and the service is excellent and the manager both times came to our table to check on our table and see if we needed anything. Angelica our server was awesome and we will continue to go back because of her wonderful customer service. The manager coming to the table to also check on us took it up another level . The food, well it's ihop! The pancakes are always awesome and the eggs and ham were cooked very well and just like I like. I was in the mood for breakfast for dinner on a recent Sunday night and not in the mood to cook. So I headed on over to IHOP. This IHOP is located on Iron Point Drive super close off Highway 50. The building is tucked in the back of the shopping plaza next to two hotels. The interior was modern, well maintained, and clean. As we walked in, it was oddly quiet. Only two customers and a couple of servers. Our server was fantastic. Attentive. Hubs ordered a cheeseburger and onion rings. Of course I had to sample his plate as well. Pretty darn tasty. Juicy, flavorful patty. I ordered a steak dinner instead of breakfast. The steak was a 10 oz T bone. I was asked how I wanted it cooked. I stated medium rare. But the cut is super thin. Not much thickness, so I it came out medium well as I expected. Sadly, the steak lacked flavor. It came with two sides and a slice of grilled butter bread. Choice of sides include pancakes. Overall had a very average experience from our server right from ordering coffees all the way to not providing the right information for our food questions to getting any refills. And when the time came for payment, our server, Andrea selects the 20% tip for herself and swipes my card. Idk if my memory is wrong, but I remember IHOP being much tastier. My omelette was a good size, but where was the flavor? Idk how they managed to make an omelet with so many ingredients taste one note and bland. I added lots of tabasco for contrast. The hubs wasn't impressed either. He would have rather had us order from another spot that starts with the letter D and rhymes with Benny's. The very bad. They gave me white toast instead of wheat. And it was hard and crumbly. Almost like a crouton. And there was no butter in sight. Or pancake syrup for that matter. We had some leftover jam packets from another takeaway order and ended up using those. The flavor was actually really good, the caramel sauce and bananas worked well together, and the pancakes were fluffy under all that topping. BUT, they did arrive a little cold and soggy (delivery problems, not necessarily IHOP's fault). Probably would've been much better if I had them fresh in the restaurant. I will never go to this ihop place not because of the food but because of the server who ripped us off of our bill. I went there on a sunday on 11/23, i asked for our check but the server offered to get my card, swiping my card without giving me the bill. I ordered 2 crepes and drinks but was charged $54, the server then clicked on the 20% without asking me how much for my tip. I love this place! It is my go-to restaurant. They have gluten free pancakes that taste like regular pancakes! They are so incredibly delicious. It's amazing how fluffy they are and how many options ihop offers for pancake flavors! I love the gluten free NY cheesecake pancakes! Shae was my server this time and she made my day. Came here this morning for some pancakes. It's been a while since I've been here and the atmosphere is just not professional. It felt like I was walking into a school cafeteria. No one was standing in the front to greet us and it was completely empty. Not even a register or menus- just nothing. Very eerie. As for service, we asked for a side of bananas for the pancakes and they tried to charge us $5 because it counts as a "fruit cup". That was pretty ridiculous. Got over that and let it go and my husband asked for extra seasoning (salt, pepper) on his eggs and they said they don't season them? He then said what about salt and he said ok. It was just weird. Not even five minutes into our meal he brought us our tab. Mind you we ordered $5 all you can eat pancakes...... guess they weren't all you can eat. I'm a diabetic so one out of the foods that I can eat is an omelette know to me this is fast food but I enjoy IHOP. It's a great place to get pancakes. I don't care what any of you say. I've always loved IHOP for the food. It's always been good, and they used to pride themselves on their service. But the last three times I've dined in this location, myself and my grandmother have been sat at a sticky table, waited on by an inattentive wait staff, and our orders have been incorrect. The man who I assume as the manager doesn't put in the work to right any mistakes made, and he doesn't speak fluid English which makes communicating errors that much harder. In our last visit, he was our waiter and my grandmother ordered the strawberry waffles. I was sitting right there; she pointed to it on the menu and everything to make it as clear as possible. She was brought strawberry pancakes. Frustrating, yes, but certainly not an issue that couldn't be fixed. That is, until the man whom I assume was the manager came over, and instead of just taking the food to change it out with the correct order, he stood there and argued with my grandmother that she in fact did not order the waffles, and that it was her mistake, not his. not only did he give us a hard time about that, but on the way out when I went to pay, I noticed that he hadn't fixed it on our check either. He became argumentative with me about fixing our bill, and only after I finally convinced him to change it did he flip his story and insist that he was only trying to save us money by billing us the cheaper item (pancakes). And while if that were true, it would have been a nice gesture, instead of stating it outright or explaining what he was doing like an adult, he instead chose to argue with me about it and not explain the reason he didn't want to change it back. I'm sorry to say that the standards at this IHOP have fallen very far. I would rather eat at Denny's. read more
