My husband and I eat at BJs often. The experience we had tonight was unacceptable. It took 30 minutes to get our food and once we did get it my sandwich was burnt. I asked for bread that wasn't burnt and after another 15 minutes my husband has finished his food and still no sign of my food. We decided to leave at that point and we waited for the manager to come over to the front desk. We explained what happened and he said he did see the sandwich and that it was burnt. When I went to the bathroom and there was no toilet paper, what kind of restaurant doesn't check the bathrooms long enough for the stall to run out of toilet paper?!? We ordered our food and most of us got the $13 meal deal which is a great deal, but not when things come out wrong. They forgot the sauce for my burger, the pasta that came out was made with the wrong sauce, and the salads came out 10 minutes before everything else did. On September 1st, my family of five had dinner here. Usually, when we bring our children, they provide goldfish snacks for them, which has happened every time we've visited in the past. Unfortunately, that did not happen this time. Additionally, our waiter kept changing, which we found a bit off-putting. The table we were seated at was dirty, and we ordered three children's meals that are supposed to include drinks in the price. However, we were charged extra for the drinks for our children. I called the next day, and I was told I would receive a refund for those drinks. It has now been almost two weeks, and I have yet to receive this refund. While it's only three dollars, it's the principle that matters. I took the time to call and address this situation, and I will be following up again. This experience felt rude and unprofessional, leaving us with the impression that my family was not treated well. We also didn't care for the ambiance provided by the waiter who remained with us after all the changes. Based on this experience, we will not be dining at this location again. To start, I am a huge fan of the BJ's franchise so it seemed like a great idea to try out a new location. My family and I just moved to the Folsom area and wanted a familiar place to dine at. The service was good and the servers working were very respectful and accommodating(we had our 8 month old with us). Now being considerate of the fact that it was a Friday night before Mothers Day, it was fairly busy and I feel for the servers in that regard. The issue I have is when the food arrived it was haphazardly thrown onto our plates. My wife ordered the jambalaya, and it arrived at the table with an inch tall mountain of spices on one side of the bowl rim, and there was no spices mixed in anywhere else on the plate. I had ordered the brisket burger cooked medium, however when it arrived the bacon, burger patty, and "brisket" were all grey colored and were slightly above room temperature. Obviously my main concern was the meat not having been prepped/cooked throughly. After about three bites I had to put it down because it was without any flavor and felt almost cool on the inside and immediately made me lose my appetite. I am not sure if the food prompted this specifically but my family and I had to leave almost right after our food was served because my wife started having a medical emergency with her airways. We later spent 5 hours in the ER getting tests done and getting my wife help. Ultimately the doctors could not say what the cause of her issues were but rest assured, we will never dine at this location again. The BJ's location in Roseville and even Arden area are leagues above Folsom as far as quality and experience. And if you know the Sacramento area then you would know it says a lot if Arden is outperforming Folsom. I would highly recommend you take the few extra minutes of your time to drive a little farther and really enjoy your time at a different BJ's restaurant. read more

We came here over the weekend and had a pretty good experience. The wait was about 20 or so minutes but we found a few open tables in the bar area so we snagged one booth. The parking was well lit and spacious so no problem in finding a spot. The bar area was not too noisy and our server was attentive. We actually had 2 but the first one was leaving so we ended up having Trevon who was kind and helped us. We ordered the power bowl with salmon $19.95, mini buffalo chicken pizza $14.65, couscous Mac and cheese balls $8.75 and 1 beer pint Piranha $6.95. I liked my power bowl, the couscous Mac cheese was just a fried ball which I couldn't taste nor see the Mac n cheese inside, so minus 1 star for that and also the greasy floor in the bar area, we almost slipped walking out. :-/ Also, their happy hour is not ALL day on Sunday like other bar/restaurants, here, it was: MON.-FRI. 3:00-7:00 PM | SUN.-THURS. 9:00 PM-11:00 PM. Used the app to get on the waitlist which was very easy to do. We were seated immediately but then waited 10 minutes for a server. I finally asked somebody if we could get some drinks. The waiter just took our order and drink order at the same time and we finally got our drinks...we were thirsty. Guacamole bacon burger - 6 - had tons of toppings although some brown in the guacamole. The burger wasn't seasoned whatsoever so we through a little salt and pepper on there to make it better. The fries were very tasty that went with it. The bacon wasn't crispy and flavor didn't carry through. Tavern burger - 5 - was plain as the meat was supposed to be the start of the show but it was bland Great buns in these burgers though! Chicken Nachos - 1 - Chips were barely warm and the guacamole was rotten on top. Can't believe the cooks and server let this go through to our table. I sent it back and didn't want it redone as this killed my appetite. Chocolate Chunk Pazookie - 10 - Perfectly cooked piece of heaven. Caramel Pazookie - 8 - Well cooked but the caramel cookie just didn't cut it I'd take the caramel drizzle on the chocolate chunk Pazookie though! On this #ThankYouThursday I wanted to express my appreciation to the crew at BJs in Folsom! If you have the opportunity to participate in one of their beer tasting and pairing nights...DO IT! The hubby and I participated in their five course Oktoberfest Beer Dinner. We had no idea what to expect but it turned into a fabulous date night. One of the things I truly appreciated was after speaking with the manager about my onion allergy he made sure I was still taken care of in a terrific way. Each course was paired with a different and unique brew. Some were obviously more tasty than others, but how else are you supposed to increase your beverage repertoire, unless you try them? The added benefit of a night like this is receiving a bit of background on the beer, instead of flailing about and randomly pointing to a name on the menu. Each course which can be ordered off the current BJ's menu were prepared deliciously and delivered in a timely manner. We were even provided with a beer to go. Find a BJ's event night and enjoy it whether on a date night or with friends Thank You Again BJ's for a memorable evening. We will be back again! read more

I've never written a negative Yelp review before until tonight's experience. On the night of January 4, my party and I were immediately sat at the bar booth area. The restaurant was not crowded, but the service we received made us feel pushed out and forgotten. We ordered two entrees and a dessert, and each dish came out staggered so no one got to eat at the same time. Our waiter never checked in on us or asked if we needed anything. We wanted to order another dessert, but when the last dish was brought out, the waiter simply dropped off our check and walked away to sit at a table in the bar area and scroll on his phone. When he finally came back to collect the check, we placed the order for the other dessert, which was brought out quickly. However, he never checked in on us or brought us another check. After waiting 30 minutes, I had to go to the host table to request the check, and they then brought it and advised us to pay by QR, so we ultimately never saw our waiter again. To summarize, we were at this restaurant for an hour and a half, and saw the waiter at most 5 times. We spent most of our time sitting around wondering when someone's meal would finally come or wondering where the check was. Truly hope the service improves. read more

I came here for a late lunch, on a recent Sunday, just to order their prime rib special. It is only served on Friday and Saturday for dinner and Sunday for lunch and dinner. This was my first dine in experience back since the pandemic. Food and service was pretty good, not bad at all. 4 stars! But the booth placement was not so great. We sat at a two person booth at the end of an aisle. The booth was fine until a large party sat next to us. From there on in, folks (staff and diners) walking past would lean into our booth and get super close to us due to the narrow aisle between our booth and the neighboring table. Naturally as folks leaned in, we leaned over as well. If we were trying to tip ourselves into Davy Jone's locker, we would have succeeded. Quite comically dizzying. The prime rib special was $29.99 for 15 ounces of prime rib, salad or soup, two sides, and a pizookie. For the prime rib, the menu states 15 ounces. I am pretty sure I got that many ounces but over 1/3 was fat. The prime rib was tasty, flavorful. The au jus was tasteless though. The salad was fresh and good. But boy oh boy watch out for those croutons. Hard little buggers.The baked potato was a hefty size. It was salt baked. Delicious. The asparagus was sad and strange looking. It was a smidge thicker than toothpick size in width. I have never seen asparagus that thin before. For the pizookie, I choose the triple chocolate. Decadent deliciousness. Yum! Hubs ordered the BJ Favorite deep dish mini pizza. Buttery crisp crust with fluffy chewy bready interior. Yum! The staff... hosts, waitress (Andi? ), and food runners were all great. But possibly they should avoid seating folks in those two seater booths near the large group tables. I am definitely apt to come back and dine in... just not at the same booth. read more

My sister and I dined on Memorial Day and our experience was good. Service was quick and food came out hot. We had the loaded nachos with chicken and they were good, but needed much more cheese. The boneless wings were nicely crispy too. We were disappointed that they were out of bone-in wings though. How do you run out of bone-in wings? Sigh. We chose xxxxtra hot Buffalo and Nashville hot as our sauces and neither were spicy. There was no heat from either. Atleast we had a quick meal after shopping all morning. read more
