I love the beer and I especially love the jambalaya it's just like New Orleans, however, tonight it was an absolute mess... the entire bar was waiting for service, everyone had orders wrong. It took 25 minutes just to get the attention of the waitress and it just makes me so sad that the service is gone so far downhill. I left because I was never asked to make an order in the 30 minutes I was there for food, and another guy left next to me who has never even waited on. I don't leave many one star reviews, so when I do, it's the result of a pretty cruddy time. We were seated promptly. I asked if they had any Christmas beers. Our server said they had an in-house version close to Great Lakes. When she came back with our beers we quickly discovered that it wasn't anywhere close to GLBC in terms of ABV, IBU, color, or flavor. So either our server is woefully uninformed, or just lied to us. Ordered a jalapeño burger medium. It came out blackened and well done. When our server asked how everything was, I replied "less than ideal," to which she just walked away. Honestly, this was the worse dinner I had. my family and I went there and were so disappointed. My niece and nephew couldn't even eat there food. Their noodles were rubber and dry. All of our food was cold. On top of all of that WE DIDNT GET OUR SILVERWARE AND HAD TO ASK FOR IT!!!!! I didnt think I would have to ask to silverware. The worst restaurant service and food in the Cleveland area. We ordered 4 dishes for takeout via the website. When I arrived to pickup the food, only 3 orders where in the bag while being charged for 4. I asked the host to retrieve the 4th dish ordered and he disappeared never to return. After waiting 20 more minutes I spoke with someone else who went to go look and he also disappeared. After 45 minutes of waiting for the 4th dish and trying to speak to a manager that never arrived I left I go home and eat the now cold dishes. When I arrived home we realized all 3 dishes were wrong. The next day I went back to the restaurant to again try and speak with a manager, who apologized profusely and promised a refund that 4 months later, I'm still waiting for. I went here while on a business trip to eat at the bar. The bar area wasn't especially busy but it was filthy, with empty glasses and napkins all over the place and at literally every open seat. I went to an open seat and pushed away the empty glass and fork from the person there before me. The bartender saw me but didn't care to help. There was a manager walking around who saw how filthy it was but didn't help to clean or get anyone to do it. I sat there for a good 5-10 minutes without so much as a hello. My wife and I ate here today at 4:30pm. The host sat us and asked about our drink order. We had questions about the happy hour drinks and he left to get some info on which BJ beers and other drinks were part of happy hour pricing. I ordered one of the beers he said was part of happy hour and my wife ordered the house margarita. Our food order was a pepperoni flat bread that was good and a two bone pork chop which was excellent, juicy and flavorful. The broccoli side was fine though the baked potato did not have enough warmth to melt the butter. When the bill came, the drinks were charged at full price. When we asked about those charges, the waitress said happy hour prices are only for those sitting in the cocktail area around the bar. We explained that the host did not mention that and knew our intentions and may need some training. Her response was for us to remember that at all BJ's, happy hour pricing is in the cocktail area. Apparently we need to know the rules better than the employees. She felt no accountability for the host's misrepresentation to us. We were seated but had to wait 15 minutes for a server to acknowledge that we were there. She took the drink order then the food order. She didn't write anything down and we were a table of 4. She then placed half the order and returned for the other half because she couldn't remember the orders. The salads came out after about 15-20 minutes and were good. We waited about a half hour of so for the prime rib. When the prime rib finally came out 1 was cooked properly and the other 3 were cooked well done. We explained we ordered 1 rare, 2 medium and 1 well. The person that brought them out said one was rare and the others were well because they had a black tooth pick in them but the server flat out lied and said no they are not all well done. One baked potato was supposed to have cheddar on it but when we mentioned it the server got all pissed off that we wanted a correct order and walked off bitching about it. The other 3 meals didn't have a baked potato which they were ordered with. After we finished the meal we still didn't have the baked potatoes so they just brought fries. We then ordered dessert and never saw the server again. All this time the table was not cleared and drinks were not refilled. We then waited at least a half hour for dessert and didn't see a server the entire time to even ask what was going on. We were seriously considering just walking out since nobody came by. Eventually the manager came by and apologized and comped the meal but it was too late, we're never going back to that location again. It took 2 hours for 4 of us to eat a prime rib dinner. read more

My whole family went to this BJ's for my birthday on Sunday and it was the worst experience I've had at one. It wasn't even busy. My brother talked to a young woman at the bar who claimed she was a manager, and she didn't do much to help, just hung out at the bar (that wasn't busy) w/ the bartender instead of helping our waitress who was clearly having issues, along with bussing our tables and multiple other tables needed attention. If they were understaffed, the manager should have been running around helping out and checking on tables . - My brother ordered ribs with a side of fries, and the fries didn't come out until way after we were all done eating, even though the waitress kept saying they were coming (it doesn't take that long to make fries). -His wife had to ask for the bread bowl she ordered. -I didn't get my salad before my meal so didn't even want it by the time it came w/ the meal. -my mom ordered a plain grilled chicken with nothing on it and it came out w/ a dry rub seasoning. The waitress tried telling her there clearly was, and eventually got a new one, which seemed undercooked. -I asked for extra napkins multiple times, as a 2 of us had ribs and one had wings and they didn't bring them until the end of of the meal. -We weren't ever given drink refills. The manager did end up giving me my meal for free, and offered free deserts for the table (but we brought our own birthday cake). (Even though there were clearly many tables open, the host said it would take 20 minutes, the text message said 20-25 minutes, but it actually took 45 minutes!) It took FOREVER for our food to actually come out and when it did it was quite unremarkable. They somehow even managed to make kids' macaroni and cheese and pizza bad. We arrived about 2pm for lunch yesterday and the place wasn't that busy but the workers seemed to spend more time talking to each other than waiting tables. We waited over 20 minutes for our drinks and the food came and my steak was overdone and the potatoes were cold. The waitress checked on us only a couple of times and she wasn't even that busy. We arrived at just before 5 pm on a Saturday night for a dinner of four friends and we left at 7 pm without have been served our entrees. About an hour after ordering,, we were informed that they were out of the entrees two of us requested. The manager came by about ten minutes later to apologize and take alternate orders, a chicken sandwich and salmon filet, neither of which should take more than 15 minutes to prepare. Ordered door dash here, the door dash driver was fine. They gave little visibility to the driver.. made him wait there for about an hour (1.5 hours after we ordered) to ultimately cancel the order. When describing BJ's to someone I say it is a nicer Applebees. I think it has sunk to that level if not below working off this experience.
