Reservations were made and we were seated BEFORE our time! Ashley L took our drink orders right away and delivered our brews shortly afterwards. Water was brought out as well for our party of three. Ashley took our food orders...two chicken parms n a crispy chicken sandwich. Everything came out hot; my mod of no honey/dijon---sub BBQ sauce was spot-on. Fries w my sandwich were crispy n hot! Good place to have a beer and bar food for a group of friends and just to hang out on any casual day. Staff here has always been friendly and just basically in line with expected customer service. A few negatives is they hire mostly newbies that need to be trained a bit better to pay attention items such as bringing napkins and silverware before food comes out, limiting conversations with other tables that can delay them checking on other tables in a timely manner and giving the dessert before checking whether you need boxes for the left overs. Pazookie we got was burned then the replacement came out burnt again They also need to check if you got a free dessert on the loyalty program before they add it to the bill so you dont need to request to have it removed. Lastly my son's kids meal includes a milk as drink but they charged it as a separate line item. Servers need to be knowledgeable on all their menus. Pretty typical of chain restaurants that normally average a 3 star because they hardly strive for excellence when the goal is to simply meet the average level of customer service and quality between terrible and great ending up in the middle. Again just an average place to come when youre thinking of a last minute hangout in the area. The wagyu burger a newer item on the menu was a bit greasy and kept slipping out of the bun everytime I held it. 25 dollars for an ok burger. I have to stress I've never come here for anything other than their Happy Hour which is an excellent value with deals on wine, beer, and custom call drinks and a decent food variety. The pizza specials on Monday are a great deal. They have other daily specials. The bar has three large screens but surprisingly the resolution is terrible, especially the center large projection screen. It's as if they have a cheapo TV service or are using equipment that hasn't been replaced since the place was built. The photo of the TV screen isn't blurry, it's the screen. Most all major sport events these days are broadcast in HighDef. I'm an A/V Enthusiast and can say 100% for sure their equipment or subscription doesn't support it. The bar and dining room are very large but this place is popular so prime dinner hour for example almost always has a decent wait of 15 minutes, and commonly over a half hour on weekend nights. If the bar food is any indication of the main menu (which I only had a caesar salad from which was mediocre), then I'd say the food is about what you would expect: decent American chain sit-down restaurant food, not terrible, not gourmet. Service is decent. The atmosphere is airy and somewhat loud, but what is odd is the side of the building that has a view of the mountains is mainly taken up by the entry and waiting area. Prices are typical, no bargain but not a complete rip off. 4 solid stars for Happy Hour. Regular dining the rating may be a bit lower considering the lesser value. read more

My first visit here though my wife and did frequent several on California. Similar vibe for a good brewery/restaurant and sports bar. Good selection of beers and food. Quick service even for our group of eight on Sunday. You might want to call ahead on weekends. Portions were large enough so that some of us took leftovers home. read more

Not sure how I feel about BJs anymore after today's recent experience. My party came and ordered a few dishes and kids meal with a kids milk, and I happened to have a free pzookie in my account. When the check came, both the kids milk that comes with the kids meal and the free pzookie was charged on the receipt. So do make sure you check your receipts when you eat here. Additionally, when asking for a to-go box to pack my son's fruits, the lady inadvertently took the fruits away while she was clearing dishes right after she gave us the to-go container. Not to mention when we finally got our food, we didn't have any silverware or napkins. Then to top it off the pzookie cookie was burnt. A manager also came out and confirmed it was indeed burnt, but she also was not apologetic. My party waited for another pzookie only to be disappointed again as it was also burnt. read more

We love BJ's. the service was amazing. Kimberly handled the bar area like a champ. The food came out quickly and her attention was great. Our appetizers were good. The panko crusted chicken was a little disappointing. A couple years ago we went as a family and everyone ordered it. I therefore learned how to make it at home. My husband ordered it yesterday and the quality was weak. The panko breading should have been mixed with the Parmesan and then baked. There were a few shreds of Parmesan on top and the cream sauce was so minimal we could barely taste it. I actually thought the chicken was fish when it was placed down on the table. BJ's never disappoints. There are many food items to choose from and the service is always great. We love sitting in the bar section and luckily we were able to get a booth. I had the Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos, served with Black Beans and Chips and the Tacos had this really tasty Coleslaw. My husband's plate came with a mini Pizookie, so we shared it. BJs is a typical chain where you can get some good items. One of my favorite drinks is here called the pink Cadillac but more recently I got a holiday drink with a little melting snowman marshmallow in it and it was yummy! I also tried their gluten free hamburger. The bun was good. Burger was a bit overcooked and next time I need extra cheese. The white cheddar mashed potatoes (GF) were DELICIOUS. My favorite thing to eat here used to be the enlightened chicken tacos on little pitas, but now my unfortunate gluten intolerance missed that. They have a dedicated gluten free menu. Let's just start off by saying Saint Anthony is one of the best absolute best waiters. We sat in the bar area for happy hour. We've had him before. He is always super friendly, super courteous, super helpful. Anything to please the customer which is the way it should be. There was a little snafu on my order which he told the manager, and the manager corrected it immediately, which I was very pleased about without even hesitation. Although BJ'S isn't exactly my favorite lunch spot anymore, it is still nice to come back to when there's a craving for a Pizookie. So, it is nice that they have the $13 pizookie meal deal. I tried the chicken bacon ranch piadina and it was good, but super messy. The fries were incredibly perfect, but the ranch needs work. I tried the strawberry shortcake pizookie and honestly thought it was going to be way too sugary, but it was just enough and ended a craving for something sweet with strawberries in it. Been going here for years and the south Virginia is our favorite location. Always clean and the staff has Always been so nice. Its a big place and I love the wall of beer names. They have a good selection of beer. Something for everyone. They also make their own root beer too. They have a big menu with out it being too overwhelming. Everything from salad to pizza to burgers to comfort food. They have gotten rid of some of my favorites over the years like potato skins and more , sad but I guess they had to make room for other things. The food isn't anything too special and run home and tell your family about but it is their food is good and we've never had a problem. Except for the ranch..it seemed watered down which never used to be like that.. They have $13 lunch specials which is what we got today. It comes with your entree and a small pizookie. I got a smash bacon and cheddar burger and my pizookie was the oreo and cream.. my fiancee got the chicken Bacon ranch piadina..its like a quesadilla..and the strawberry shortcake pizookie.. After 30 minutes, my burger finally arrived...with old fries that have been sitting under the lamp for way too long. We had dinner here the other night. I've been to BJ's before but not this location. As we were walking in I noticed a lot of people going in. But we were seated right away. They had televisions on most of the walls. Not all tv''s have sports on which was nice to be able to watch something else. I ordered a beer and Chinese chicken salad. Giving the South Reno location a chance after a bad experience at the Sparks location. To start off, our server was great but both of the hostesses were not friendly in any way, and they were borderline just rude. I may just be used to how friendly everyone is in at the smaller local businesses, but it's just not acceptable to be all grouchy to your customers. There is just so many local options around, so the sheer amount of money the bill is, for food that isn't great just doesn't check the boxes for me. We were super stoked as we started this meal, drinks were good, service was solid at the table and we were set and ready. the food did come decently quick, but when it came, the fried chicken and the wings were a mixture of burnt and/or just unclean old oil. As you can see in the pictures. The table next to us actually was so upset about the burnt onion rings that they sent them back, but to be fair theirs looked worse then out stuff. The fries we got were solid, even the pickles, but the chicken was a big miss. I will give it to them, the kids pizza was solid, the salad was nice and fresh and crisp, and the non fried stuff was nice as tasty. But come on frying stuff is the easiest part. The food was fine. Not great not awful. Waitress needs to learn her job a little better. She told me they don't have any low-fat dressings, but you can see oil and vinegar and balsamic on their website. Chicken on the salad semi bland, but I guess expected for local. I didn't think my experience could get worse from the last time I was in... but BJ's managed to pull it off. We arrived at 5:30 PM. The hostess told us there was a 10-minute wait. 5:45 PM rolls around. The hostess tells us it will be another 15 minutes because she doesn't have a server available until 6 PM. But why did you tell us a 10-minute wait? We waited another 5 minutes past 6 PM before finally being seated. A 10-minute wait turned into 35 minutes. Not a great start, and the same issue I had last time when visiting. I did speak to the manager before being seated and expressed my frustration about the inaccuracy of the wait times. To be transparent in this review, she did end up comping a single appetizer as compensation for the awful wait. That's good, I guess. Then came the food and drinks. Ordered iced teas and a beer. The new Co-Hoperation beer was completely flat. No bubbles whatsoever. I asked for a new beer, and the second one, Pirahna Pale Ale, was better. The server then informed us they were out of lemons for the iced tea... what? How can a massive restaurant like BJ's be out of lemons? My dad tried to order the salmon. They were also out of salmon. This is a joke, right? Then came the appetizer. Ahi Tuna Poke. The avocado was not fresh. It was browning severely. At least it was comped... Then the entrees. Mostly everything was ok. Nothing was great, but nothing was terrible, until my dad bit into an onion ring and the literal grocery store produce sticker was still on the onion. He informed the server, and she responded with a confused "OK". It's not the food experience that has been the downfall when I go to BJ's, though this visit wasn't the best. But between the poor wait time accuracy and the brutal inconsistencies, I think I will have to stop visiting this BJ's location. What a shame... I've noticed the overall rating for this location has dropped significantly over the years. It's not a surprise to me at all. I hope management will step in and turn things around. We were a group of 12 adults, and she managed our six separate checks like a total pro. Everything was smooth and hassle-free. My burger was very greasy and I received what looked like a half order of sweet potato fries. The fries were all small broken pieces. It definitely looked like the end of the bag. We ordered the wings as an appetizer and usually you get drumsticks and flats. We enjoy both so much on the picture. It shows both so we assumed it would have both but we got all drumsticks. We told the waiter when he came by he took his finger and he spun our tray around like three times and he said hummmm and that was it not another word and then he left .. We ate the wings. They were good though we were missing the flats which we enjoy. Our food took 50 minutes. Everything was cold. I ordered a flatbread which was like cardboard . We ordered a bread bowl and a barbecue brisket burger that was clearly burnt even when the manager came over and he's like oh I can see that's burnt . All of the food was cold except for the ribs, the broccoli on the side was very cold. The waiter never came back after the runner brought the food we had to flag someone down to get a manager, he did take care of some of our food, which was nice, but it was the most horrible experience I've ever had in a restaurant. I think I went to the restroom and there was barbecue sauce all over the women's handle bathrooms were disgusting. There was crap above the handle when going out. It was just a really disgusting. Gross experience I would never go here again it's funny because we have a Bjs in Tucson and it's not like that at all. This was like the most ghetto version of a Bjs that I've ever seen very disappointed.The waiter was horrible as well slamming everything down on the table .. never checking back-never said sorry because he never came back He came back for the check and I was about it. Bumping up the BJ's ratings to five now because the focus on customer service and the incredible regard they have for their guest satisfaction is just over the top and so appreciated. We came in on a Friday evening around 5:15. We jumped on the waitlist via Yelp ahead of time and then proceeded to realize it was still happy hour when we got there so I headed to the bar to order some drinks and an appetizer while we waited for our table The mule and the Kentucky Mule were fine. The chips and salsa were plentiful and a great way to start off our night, but it was the conversation with the bartender. I think her name was Madie that made it that much better. I've been scoping out bar tables while I waited for our food and drinks at the bar and saw one that I was gonna snatch, but had to grab my family first when she saw that the table had been taken and we couldn't sit there to continue enjoying happy hour she said hey I hope you know that because you're with your family, the restaurants are always happy to extend happy hour pricing to the tables. Just let your server know. This is such a pro tip because the kids wanted to enjoy the mini pizzas and we thought about having another drink so when we did get seated, we spoke to the server and she's like oh yes, of course we can definitely do that. Just check the bill at the end in case there's any errors and I'll make sure it's corrected. We ordered our food. I am in awww of the great customer service we were given with our to go order last night and want to thank Yun Cha for taking care of our problem above and beyond. Our order was not made right so we sent it back to be redone before we left with it to go home. Unfortunately when we got it home it was done wrong again. I called to complain thinking there was nothing they could do. After explaining our situation this lovely person took it upon himself to hand deliver another order himself. Customer service can be non existent sometimes and this blew my mind. We live across town and it was a Friday night and I know the place was busy. Quick lunch with my daughter, no reservations but got right in and seated. Our waiter was prompt giving us time to order. We shared chips with salsa and guacamole. Very fresh with crunchy chips. We both ordered the wedge salad with tortilla soup for a lighter lunch choice. Very good, not too much. Variety of options to choose from sorry they don't have lunch specials on the weekend.
