Have eaten here a few times. Food has been decent, sometimes better than others as expected. A family member ordered takeout this past weekend, 1/4/25, and asked me to pick it up on my way home. When I went to pick it up, the lady at the take out station was the rudest, most unprofessional person I've ever dealt with at a restaurant. Since I didn't place the order, I wasn't certain of what all was ordered so the lady proceeded to talk to me like I was stupid and wasting her time. Craving a Pizookie, my companion and I decided to visit BJ's on a Saturday night. It surprisingly wasn't too crowded, and we were seated immediately. The service was good up until we were done with our food and ready to order dessert and pay, then it slowed drastically. When the waitress finally came to our table, we ordered the Pizookie and asked for the check at the same time to avoid further waiting. The food itself was not good. The Mac n cheese balls were barely edible. The sliders were alright but lacking any flavor. The Pizookie was the best and only good item. I was starving when we arrived. The host was hilarious & quickly found us a booth for two, though the restaurant was pretty full. Nick, our server, was quick, knowledgeable, & knew exactly what to suggest when they did't have my drink of choice. I have given this restaurant many chances because when they're good, they're very good. After tonight, I'm done. I ordered my usual tri-tip wedge (which is usually consistent in terms of quality) with Uber eats and I have never been so disgusted by the meat. It was tough, cold, and disgusting- cut into random bite sized pieces. It didn't taste close to what it normally does, and I could only stand one bite. That is NEVER how it arrives and I know for a fact it would not have left the kitchen had I been dining in the restaurant. It truly appears as though someone threw old leftovers into my meal and ultimately, I'd like to know from management- what would the reason be for my tri-tip to arrive in this condition? I've came here twice and was kinda meh both times. I had Stefan as a waiter he's fantastic! But the food had always been under seasoned. I got the guac bacon burger and the only flavor that was had was the light flavor of avocado. I ended up dunking it in ketchup just to get a little something else. My friends got the crispy jalapeno burger and felt the same way no seasoning on burger. One got the bbg burger and felt it was alright with the BBQ sauce. Why 4 stars? Because this is a rare chain restaurant that I enjoy. --- --- --- I patronize local businesses about 95% of the time, but BJ's is one of those rare exceptions. My wife got me hooked on the deep dish pizza and the pizookies. The pizza is pretty solid, but the pizookies are one of mankind's greatest inventions. On this particular occasion, we ordered two flights of pizookies, which comes with 3 different mini-portions. Of the 6 we tried, the cookies n cream was my favorite and I really liked all of them besides the triple chocolate, but I'm not really a big chocolate person. But as for the pizza, if you like deep dish, these are a decent option. They aren't quite as massively thick as a true Chicago style stuffed pizza, but they are definitely thicker than your typical NY style. As much as I want to try other things on the menu, I always revert back to the pizza. I actually cannot recall ever getting something else in 10+ visits to the location we used to live near in Tampa. While I definitely want to continue exploring the local restaurant scene around here, this was an enjoyable experience. read more

My friends and I were seated at 8:25. We finally saw our waiter and ordered water at 8:35. Once the waiter Aaron came back with waters, we ordered 3 Lucky Ducky drinks and 2 pizookies. He took our menus and brought the drinks after about 15 minutes. At 9:20, the waiter finally returned to our table and said "Did you guys order something?" to which we said "Yes, 2 pizookies 50 minutes ago and that's all we ordered." He said "Oh in sorry guys I never put in your order" then told us one of the pizookies we ordered was out, but never said that 50 min prior when we ordered. Finally received the pizookies 10 minutes later. Terrible Terrible service, and I told the manager who just said "okay". When asking if our order could be comped due to an hour of waiting for pizookies, the waiter proceeded to argue with us saying "well if you would've ordered from me i would've told you we were out of the Graham crackers for the pizookie" to which i replied "we did order from you." First time I've been to BJ's ... that I recall. This visit stood out. Went with a group of 12. Our server (Abbey F) rocked. She let me try the ranch. I'm a bit picky about ranch. It was pretty good. Gets my OK. LOL. She also let me me try three of their beers in little tiny test cups. I ended up going with their whatever red. Pretty decent ... though I'm not a huge beer drinker. But this was a party so what the heck. We went on a Saturday and I got the weekend special. Prime rib (14 oz) with two sides, soup or a salad, and a pizookie or whatever their ice cream brownie things are called. For $33 or so + tax/tip. I got a Caesar salad for one of my sides, mashed potatoes for the other, and the -- Abbey's recommendation -- the clam chowder for my soup/salad option. The chowder was great. The prime rib came out INSANELY fast -- too fast almost since none of my group had their food yet -- and it was OK. Big hunk of meat. A little more pastrami taste that I would expect -- and I wouldn't expected it all, so that was a little odd. But I gobbled that up and enjoyed it. Ordered it medium rare and it was pretty pink but, again, I enjoyed it. Mashed potatoes were good. Salad (with ranch) was good. And the hot fudge sundae pizookie was good. What a wonderful experience! The menu is broad, and everything sounds delicious when reading the menu. My date had the southern comfort sandwich, and left nothing on the plate besides the fries. I had the spaghetti and meatballs, and boy are they Jumbo! The avocado eggs rolls were probably my favorite. The sauce made it even more addicting. Our waiter was really attentive, professional and sweet. His appearance reminded me of Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory. If I return to this location and he's working, I'm requesting his table. The bacon cheeseburger was fine, it's a burger after all. Don't get the Prime Rib dinner or you'll be wasting your money on food that tastes like literal dirt. Asked if we wanted refills, said yes. Never got them. 20 minutes later got to go drinks and the waiter forgot the meal came with a dessert and told us we could pay on the table without ordering the dessert first. We had a party of 8 for a birthday party with family, and the waitress was absolutely excellent. The avocado egg rolls were incredibly creamy and crispy, and I got the Mini Deep Dish Sweet Pig. As someone who adores pineapple on pizza, this was exactly what I wanted it to be - sweet and chewy with crispy edges and that little pop of pineapple every couple bites. Highly recommend getting blue cheese on your salad if you get one, because that's a real treat. I also tried the mojito flight (my favorite is the tropical, but they didn't have lavender ) as well as the margarita flight (lemon berry is the star there). There is a BJ's Brew House closer to me near Willowbrook, and it's not as nice, as clean, or as friendly as this one is, IMHO. Had a great experience this evening, so thanks for that! read more

This is a new review to replace the low rating review I gave during the Covid-19 Pandemic. We have recently gone to BJ's several times, probably about twice per month. Overall the food has been pretty good. The Pacific Poke Soba Noodles are very good and I also like their Jambalaya. The only real complaint with the food is that they seem to be running out of many times lately, especially the appetizers. The service is hit or miss. They have a a few excellent servers but once in a while you get one who obviously does not want to be there: I would recommend BJ's as a good place to bring the family and they have a nice bar area to hang out with a buddy for a drink. They need to get a little better with the service to hit four stars but I think 3 stars is fair at this time. Will be going back again soon I'm sure. read more

Went to this location on a whim with my daughter last Friday and we were seated pretty quick but it took the waitress a bit to finally get to us. She was nice but we only saw her like 2-3 times the entire time we were there. Our drinks were only refilled once after they were empty. My daughter is 11 and almost never needs a refill, but this time she did and the waitress wasn't anywhere to be found. The only time I did see her when I got up to look, she was standing at the hostess stand. The mac and cheese ball appetizer had no taste until dipped in the sauce. I ordered the chicken and steak combo which was believe around $25. I asked for medium steak and what I got was closer to rare. The chicken was dry (no sauce on it, just a small breast) and had no taste and the mashed potatoes were dry and clumpy, similar to instant potatoes and the baked potato skin was burnt. I got it loaded but that consisted of butter, cheese and bacon it seems. I don't like to make a scene so my daughter and I just ate what we could. She got the kids fettuccine. I tried it and it was tasteless as well. There was almost no sauce. Similar to when you take leftovers and pull it out of the fridge over night and the sauce has dried up. The best thing on the table was the side salad my daughter got. Lettuce, grated cheese and Caesar dressing. I still left a tip for the waitress because I know that's what they work for mostly but I can't see myself recommending anyone to go here.
