I haven't had BJs in a good couple of years and was craving their pizza and pizookie badly. So decided to satisfy my craving. Eh. There was group of 4 of us. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, buffalo chicken pizza and pizookie. Our dip came with stale chips. That's one. Our pizza, was low on the toppings- no celery for sure and one of the slices was literally just bread with some sauce and cheese. Now the pizookie... this is where I really got upset... Chips being stale, fine. Pizza short on ingredients, fine. But then we're informed that they were out of chocolate chip cookies! That's the real sad bad. After much crying and cursing, we went with the macadamia nut pizzokie. It was aite. Our waiter- he was MIA for most of everything. He asked how we liked our food and I told him it wasn't what I was expecting and not that happy. Instead of sending over the manager, he handed me the bill. Won't be back. The service was awful and the food is overpriced. I've eaten at quite a few of BJ's from Vegas to Texas. This was my least favorite experience. I hate when they train waiters on your visit. Please stop that. I ordered the ribs and baked potato. The potato was a hold over from lunch and had turned light brown from being in the oven for a lengthy time. The ribs were meh. Some of the other guest had decent looking plates buts at what cost. A pizza another patron at my table he looked decent but I reminded myself that was a $18 pizza. They have several beers and an expensive bar. This place survives on the beer and liquor. If you want drinks then this may be your place. Food wise not so much. read more

I took my daughter to BJ's a couple of days ago. I've tried a few different locations over the years. The I-45 store was initially pretty good, as expected. We had a flatbread pizza & a chicken sandwich, along with a few beers. Our service was pretty good until the waiters changed shifts. After our initial waitress cashed out & left, we were left on our own. We were sitting in a booth in the bar area for an hour or so afterwards. There was a football game on but it wasn't exceptionally busy. We lingered for a while after our meal & had a few beers. Not once after the shift change did anyone check on us, ask if we needed anything or clear our empty dishes. I had to get up & go directly to the bar for our beers & then carry them to the table myself. We had tipped our waitress about 18% when she cashed out, but I guess that the next one was just waiting for us to go. I'm not slamming the whole establishment, but the service during the second half of our visit was non existent. Probably my worst experience with BJ's. read more

My potato skins were over cooked and my chicken was cold. They were out of broccoli, so they doubled up on mashed potatoes. ...i needed veggies that's a lot of potatoes and starches/carbs. I picked my food up and was there early. It's not like I had to wait for it to be cooked. Had I ate there I'm sure I would have given them a better review, but advice to others don't get take out unless it's something like wings or pizza. if you're a pizza eater. 5+ stars for the service alone! Katie was our server and had to deal with our large, loud, demanding, and incredibly annoying group - a whole bunch of "can you get me that", " I need more of this!", and "by the way, just one thing..." for the WHOLE meal. I was personally ready to kill all of them, but she totally took it in stride. And had a smile! Either she's an excellent actress, has toddlers, or is an incredibly nice person. Plus, she told us it was only her third day out of training - YOU ROCKED IT, KATIE! The food was good too! Most of us had the pork rib special, which I enjoyed. The ribs were fall of the bone soft, the bbq sauce was sweet and tangy, and the sides I got were great - sautéed green beans (omg yum!), and a tomato and mozzarella salad with balsamic vinegar. A few down notes on the food - my mom's fries came out cold, and my cousin's medium rare tri-tip was medium well, as well as coming out significantly later than the rest of the food. Not worth it. Total let down and super high prices! I ordered the fish and chips. It was beyond terrible. I was shocked to see the price for $16.95 for COD and Fries. Gimme a break that's insane. I could have gone to Long John Silvers got a better quality and quality meal for half the price. If you like old oil soaked burnt fish this is the place for you! I will not be back. This is not the first time this has happened. BJ's does not care. If they did they would not serve this food. You could tell just by looking at it that it was terrible. I guess I shouldn't expect too much from restaurants anymore. They literally have all the up front parking reserved for to go or call in orders. They would rather pay more attention to people that aren't even going to dine in the restaurant than patrons that do. It really does show where the priorities lie. On 6/11/2022, I ordered deep dish pizza and picked it up. When I opened up my pizza box at home, I noticed it smelled bad and it was burned at the bottom. Pizza which should have been a deep dish looked like dry and looked to be very old. As a regular customer in this situation, I called the restaurant and spoke to mgr on duty named Kieran. I explained him everything and instead he was getting upset with me and didn't want to find a resolution. He offered me a free cookie for my troubles. I drove back to the Resturant with the bad pizza and showed it to him. Both him and his employees acknowledge that indeed it was their problem. Again, he had no remorse and made a comment to me by saying "I thought on the phone you were trying to correct free food". This is indeed very insulting so I asked him does he take care of his white customers the same way as he did with me being a minority? My son who ate the pizza is now sick. We don't know what's wrong but his doctor visit is not until 6/13/2022. Overall, the restaurant is serving hazardous food and manager Kieran must be held accountable for his inability to handle the situation and making me feel worthless and humiliated. My GF and I (2 top) were placed on the 40 minute waitlist with about 2-3 groups ahead of us. After we saw an older couple get placed at a table, stating they called but the host did not place them on the list, approximately 30-33 minutes into our wait we noticed more people kept showing up and getting placed at tables. So my GF asked how far down the waitlist we were since we showed up and were 3rd in line. We were 11th in line....for a table of 2...after approximately 35 minutes of waiting. I had the Hickory brisket and bacon burger and the half and half pizookie delivered. The burger was in my top 5 of best burgers I've ever had. The meat was the perfect consistency and flavor, lightly crisp bacon and the brisket was tangy, sweet without overpowering the sandwich as a whole. read more

We tried the Carnita Fries with Chile Verde for the first time today. The green chile was great and we gobbled them up. However, the pulled pork was not pulled, there were a couple of chunks that we had to cut our selves. Also most of the cheese was under all the fries, not sure how or why that happened. My daughter has the Santa Fe salad with Shrimp and she loved it. Plenty of grilled shrimp. Husband had the Tavern Pizza and he said it was best pizza he's has in a long time. I had the Lemon thyme chicken and substituted quinoa for the brown rice. I'm not sure what happened with this dish, because it's what I always order. For some reason there was a bitter taste and not the usual lemony flavor I love so much. I posted picks of the dishes while there so I wouldn't forget, but the overall experience for me was so-so. Everyone was friendly. Our server (Krystal M) was great. Krystal made sure we were taken care of throughout our stay and was very helpful. I hope we get her next time. Everyone's food tastes great. Slightly pricier place but worth it. Our table of four shared avacado rolls (comes with 6) they were so good. The burgers were made perfectly. We have always loved BJ's Brewhouse! The menu has a vast range of yummy choices. In addition, there is also a wide assortment of bar drinks. The atmosphere is full of energy and fun! Took the family out for lunch. We tried five different dishes plus an appetizer. The restaurant was well lit, organized and clean and the staff were very friendly. Cost wise you ask. The average item we saw on the menu was 10-12 dollars and the portions were good size. So you can bring the whole family out and not break the bank. To start off we had the calamari appetizer which came with two sauces. We all (5) thought it was pretty good. I had the pepperoni flatbread. It was good ... But ... You better seriously love pepperoni because it comes loaded with it. $11 My wife had a salad. It looked ok, but I can't comment because real men don't order salad as a main course. It should only come as a side dish in my opinion. My son had a sandwich with large cut fries (see pic) he thought it was great. My daughter in law had the chicken Parmesan. She loved it, but, looking at it I would have given it a just ok. Lastly, my daughter had a burger with fries. It was quite large and she loved it. This is a burger place so if your a burger person your in luck here. So overall the place was a win win, especially as a family place to go to. Good food at a fair price. Hilarious name aside (I imagine the megacorp that owns the chain have also spun off HJ's Mittens & Gloves Haberdashery and ZJ's Ultra Luxury Boutique) it is a chain that caters to people who want a bunch of big ass TVs with sportsball on in their restaurant-going experience, so my expectations were rather low of the food since those two things are usually mutually exclusive. Due to my soyboy doctor lecturing me about how terrible my cholesterol numbers are I was here for a salad option and not one of the pizzas or things that the sportsball-watchers are more likely to order off of the gigantic menu that goes on for pages and pages to cover everything from asian-fusion to staples of Americana. Our waitress messed up the drink order so that was not off to a premium start, but I eventually got my root beer shortly before the food arrived which is about 15 minutes past when I thought a cup could be filled and delivered on a somewhat normal schedule for a resto that was not even that busy. I went with the Seared ahi salad ($15.50) which came with baby field greens, napa cabbage, rice wine vinaigrette, tomato, avocado, pickled cucumbers, wasabi, and wonton strips. The presentation is actually quite lovely for a place like this, it surprised me. But there was a lot of wonton strips, too many. However the rice wine vin was well distributed and I enjoyed the wasabi dots. I just wish there was more wasabi and less wonton strips because I like things hot; not weirdly soggy strips, like how some peasant came up with the idea of coleslaw by making a salad wetter and creamier. The avocado was relatively spartan but at least it was there to demurely call out "hey sailor." The seared ahi was another surprise that they gave you a fair bit of it - it makes you feel better about the $15.50 price tag on a soyboy salad at lunch because for fifty Canadian cents more you could have an hour with a hooker out by the airport and there are less carbs in spending your time that way. This is not a fine dining chain and it doesn't pretend to be or want to be one. For a casual dining kind of chain where you could probably get away with wearing basketball shorts and a lager stained wifebeater they manage to put out a pretty nice salad with all of the right flavours for your amusement at lunch. read more

Oh dear! This place used to be so good. Hope it's just a temporary glitch. We've used BJs for years, at different locations, but tonight this one was disappointing. First off my wife orders ice tea, with lemon. Served with no lemon. "Can I have lemon, please." "Of course." But no lemon comes; have to get it myself from the bar. We usually order the same thing: we share California flatbread and Barbeque Chicken Chop Salad. Salad arrives. " Could we have silverware please?" "Of course, I'm sorry". No silverware arrives; I have to get it myself. Salad is usually fresh and crisp, with warm crunchy onion rings on top. Not this time; onion rings and salad were soggy. Normally we fight over the last bite; but not this time. Flat bread arrived fifteen minutes after the salad. Barely warm and burnt at the edges. We didn't finish that either. So sad. I took my friend out for his birthday and I regret choosing BJs Cleanliness 5.5 out of 10 My table was pretty clean, but I saw multiple tables that had dishes on them. Food 3 out of 10. We waited over 40 minutes for food The coleslaw was dry as the Arizona heat... the ribs overly cooked and so we're the fries. Literally this place is going down hill faster than I could've imagined. Service: 3 out of 10. Our server was funny, but service wasn't his forte Our drinks stayed empty for the time we suffered being there... I almost walked out several times. Overall: I'm not sure what the issue was but I'm definitely done with this place. Dining in is a no go for me. Maybe to go pizza is the only option from here if you want that. read more
