It's a cruel reality that after shopping at other BJ's finding out that items at each BJ's vary in Price! YES, that's right ! Different prices for the same item. EXAMPLE I picked up an item to buy and scanned it to see if there was a coupon to Clip. So my APP SCANNED ONE PRICE. But the Price listed on the shelf was another... so I took a picture of it to show the Manager at check out that my APP SCANNED IT AT $12.98 But the Registered $14.99. The Manager looked and then said to me, " Is the APP ON WEYMOUTH ?" So I checked and it was on STOUGHTON...which confused me that the cost Varies... so I asked here why and did not make sense just a few miles away the same item was higher at WEYMOUTH. I thought she would adjust the PRICE, which was minimal and she said No. I had an issue on a few items prior to this and said to her, the Old Manager Steven who recently left was very accommodating and helpful and did adjust the APP PRICE.......HER RESPONSE which shocked me and my family that was present...said, "THATS WHY HE IS NOT HERE ANYMORE", WOW! I had her take it off and preceded to check out after buying OVER $220.00 Tonight... Well, So much for Price Matching for the same COMPANY. This is NOT MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH REVIEWS. Weymouth BJ's has great selection of plants at affordable prices, hence the five stars. BUT, the plant from Wellesley Farms (labeled as such but is actually from GCG/Green Circle Growers from Oberlin, OH) uses death mesh/death plug for their plants so you gotta watch out for that. So far, we have had three plants from BJ's grown by GCG that were not thriving so we checked the roots and found the mesh in two and sponge-like (not moss) material that was restricting the roots from normal growth and causing root rot in one. So every plant that comes home from BJ's gets a thorough root check which can be time consuming. read more

We always enjoy shopping at BJs Wholesale Club but yesterday it was particularly great due to an exceptional employee there. It was very busy throughout the store and in the Deli as well. Mare (?spelling) was there cheerfully slicing deli orders and could not have been more welcoming, friendly, and kind to us! Love shopping here with the curbside pickup. I'm tired of having the salesmen walking up to me trying to sell me windows for a house I don't own or a new phone plan. Once I had 2 young men come up to me asking me about windows 10 min apart. I would have cancelled my membership for that alone but because there's curbside pickup I'm more inclined to shop here. Not sure if the associates are allowed to get tips though. Some off my items are really heavy and I'd like to tip them for putting the items in my back seat. It saves my back that's for sure. I wish they'd expand the store though. Seems like they have a large enough parking lot where they could add on a bit. The bigger stores in Quincy and Stoughton are great but not always worth the trip and I have yet to have a salesman come up to me in those stores. They should stay in their kiosks. If I wanted a phone plan or windows I'd go to them. I don't come in to be harassed and sold to like I'm at the mall. I do miss going inside and getting a few impulse purchases but I don't need people following me around. (Just noticed that it says San Francisco? I live in Weymouth. Woof, the curbside pickup has really tanked in overall quality. Still quick on delivery after check-in from their designated spaces (which are now in shorter supply, as in-store shoppers are just parking in them with no repercussions), but the accuracy of order, produce quality and overall availability is getting abysmal. Placed an order for 10 items. Just before my 2-hour pickup window arrive, I received back-to-back texts saying my order was ready but half of the items (marked as in stock online) were not available. Well, there's five left - better run and grab them. So, I did only to return home and find (1) my bag of limes were actively rotten, and (2) one of the items was completely wrong. There's no mechanism for curbside returns, and I'm not down for a 30% accuracy rate with my online order. Not sure where the hiccups are arising along the order entry to fulfillment lifecycle exists, but here's hoping this wholesale club can get its act together soon. read more

Due to my own error, there was an issue with my membership card. As I went through checkout with $400 worth of items, it looked like I would not be able to complete my purchase because of my error. Jeff M not only stepped in to make the magic happen so I could successfully checkout, he went above and beyond to ensure I had peace of mind and felt well taken care of. Years and years ago when wholesale stores were more of a novelty experience, I had a membership at a local BJs. I soon learned these stores were not my cup of tea. Too big, too overwhelming and for the most part filled with food products that I don't eat in mostly gargantuan sizes. 20 pounds of pickles anyone? A gallon of chili powder? Occasionally, I'd find a well-priced book or electronic item that kind of made the experience worthwhile but once my membership expired I never renewed. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, my husband got a 60 day free pass and was able to purchase some LED lightbulbs at a very good price. I agreed to return with him last weekend to get some more. I was curious as to what the experience would be like all these years later. I am still unimpressed with this kind of mega shopping experience. While it seems like BJs sells everything imaginable, it really doesn't and with what it does sell, you really do need to be completely up on your prices because not everything is such a bargain. As much as I can find, I buy organic, locally sourced food and all natural cleaning supplies. These are not the items you will find here. This is not snobbery in my opinion but a good health and environment decision. Most of the produce while looking fresh all seemed to come from far flung states and major agricultural monopolies. I saw nothing saying the produce was not GMO (genetically modified organism) and sadly these days things need to say "non-GMO" or "organic" to be assured you are not getting a fruit or vegetable that Monsanto hasn't messed with. i went to this store and was stopped by a crossant that the machine did not scan the person at the door checking receipts her name is claudia I think so she stopped me counted how many items i had in my cart and counted item by item until the machine failed to scan a croissant. I was making a purchase of over a hundred dollars it's not possible that I'm going to steal something that cost 7.99 .okay that wasn't a problem for me I went back and paid for the croissant. only what caught my attention was that the other carts that were behind me because of the queue that formed that person did not check any cart did not count any item and released all without even checking and they were carts with more items than the my . I felt bad I felt embarrassed to go through all this for me it was a discrimination so im so sad because this is my favorite Bjs and I'm member ship for so so long read more

Bjs Weymouth where Ive been shopping 25 years continues to slip. But Ive had enough and Im getting a membership to Costco. I'm sick of driving to Bjs and paying my membership fee to have the shelves empty. The cooler is full of boxes waiting to be put out on the shelves and I have to go to stop and shop. Not only that, half the stuff I always bought they no longer stock. Its so infuriating. Used to be good before they updated self-check out to accept debit and credit only. Meanwhile there is usually 1 cashier line open, with 7-8 deep carriages chock full of stuff and 4-5 associates wearing a bj's vest talking amongst themselves while my frozen goods are melting! I am a BJ's member for years and was never disappointed before. Yesterday I was kinda stalked down by two guys running around within the aisles and asking me questions about home improvements. I told them nicely that I was not a home owner and therefore not interested. I also mentioned if they wanna improve something they could tell someone that the herbs right next to us are all dead. They said sure, walked away laughing and rolling their eyes. I understand that it might not be your department but at least don't give a customer the feeling to be ridiculous, you were in this aisle in the first place stalking me down! read more

This is the BJs closest to us and although I prefer Costco over BJs, the BJs membership offered to us was discounted through my employer's benefit package. Even though my household consists of 2 humans and 2 felines, we shop at BJs for household stuff -- paper products, detergents, cleaning supplies, and stuff like that. Bottom line, you have to know your retail prices because even though it's in "bulk" you have to factor the cost of your membership over a year. Still, some of the items are much cheaper at BJs. The staff has always been friendly, but it just seems as if there's never enough. Even on the busy weekend hours, not all cashier stations are open even when the lines snake through the store. Stick with weekday evenings and you'll be fine. read more

Here's the thing about BJ's - don't go in here expecting: a) not to wait in a huge freaking line b) not to deal with every annoying person on earth, and their child(ren) c) an easy in and out experience in the parking lot Yeah, it's hellish but where else are you going to get super cheap gatorade, sausages, and cat food en masse? This review has to do with the food. I live in Florida but popped in during a visit to family in Weymouth for a quick bite to feed three hungry kids. we ordered a pizza and they made it fresh for us. Disappointed. We buy the ready made pizza at BJ by us (made by Uno i guess - not BJ). The pizza at the Costco by us in Pembroke PInes is very good for $10, kids were ok with it. wife and i disappointed. I wasn't looking for gourmet but the pizza is better at Costcos. Well - nothing has changed. This store is still awful, and stupid me still shops here. Where else can you buy 5 dozen eggs for 4.75? As soon as the kids get older and we don't need 8 lbs of everything, I will cancel my membership and never return. Small changes in pricing and what they stock are the worst - for example, they only sell OJ in 3 pks now. Who drinks that much orange juice at one time? The fruit is all still in edible, no care is taken to keep from bruising anything. There are never enough shopping carts available, no matter how empty the store. Unfriendly, unhelpful staff, making you want to wait in line for the self-serve cashier. All in all, a stressful experience every time I go. read more

Every once in a while, my friend and I will come here later on in the day and just spend a couple hours walking around and looking at everything. You could get lost in here. The shelves are stacked high, and the aisles are long. Best time ever was when I found some kid scooters in an aisle and rode one while following my friend. Got a 60 day free trial in the mail and thought why not give it a try. We were members many years ago and ended up spending way more money everytime we came in on stuff we didn't really need. Joined this time with the thought of being price conscience and we have a freshman in college that we were going to visit over the weekend. That said you do have to watch the prices, you can save money on cases of water but we found the cereal prices are higher than Walmart. Typical box store, rows stacked to the ceiling with everything you could want and some stuff you don't. I still get a kick out of the guy on the way out, he scans your cart and checks off your receipt, like he knows all that stuff in the cart matches the receipt. I went in to buy a laptop and couldn't find anyone to help me. The only people in the electronics section where the Direct TV people and the Verizon guy. I went to the customer service desk but there was an enormous line and I knew they'd only page an employee to meet me. So I just left and bought it at the nearby Walmart. It was very disappointing that there was no one there to help... they lost out on a $500-700 purchase because of their low staffing. read more

The staff at this location are wonderful. Last time i went the cashout boy helped me with my ten gallons of milk and this time the bakery staff helped with a bagel emergency and were extremely helpful and friendly and also got my order done quickly and efficently. I use this location to buy heavy whipping cream, milk, pie crust, water, toilet paper, Tide, Dawn, and a few other staples. I thought I was not shopping enough to justify the membership, but looking at the amount of savings compared to other grocery stores, I will keep my membership going. There are six in my family, luckily they are on the younger side, but once they get older I think they will consume more and cost more in the process. I wish there was a bit more variety and what they do offer can be a little cheaper, especially the meat department , packaged food, and the deli. I also shop at Shaw's and Walmart down the street, avoid the Stop & Shop (unless you want to get run over in the parking lot!). read more

after many many years I am giving up my family membership. $75 yearly fee for 3 of us now done. WHY? a few months back I was essentially accosted trying to leave the store. I know you must have your receipt checked when you leave but this time was insane over-the-top. I have always resented BJ's assuming everyone is a thief but I put up with it as I am sure it helps keep prices down by deterring shop lifting. This time the person must have had nothing to do or just did not like me - 30 seconds on the left side of the cart which was getting my blood boiling but when he stopped I thought it was over but nooooo, he moved over to the right side to check for another minute. I asked him what could possibly be wrong but he just mumbled. I then asked for the manager and was essentially given the bums rush. NO GREAT LOSS - prices are not that great and the insane quantities they make you buy are a waste anyways. I predict they will be out of business within 3 years. read more
