    garden salad ; bread (01Jun2025)

Today is June 1, 2025. At close of business tonight, this location will cease operations. The landlord is not renewing the lease; they are redeveloping the underlying real estate. With this in mind, I will share a couple of thoughts I normally would not put in a typical Yelp. In the farewell email, the manager of this Black Angus Steakhouse stated that the Black Angus closest to this location is in Lakewood, CA. I will note that within Del Amo Fashion Center (100yards away) there is an Outback Steakhouse. I do not consider either Outback Steakhouse, or Black Angus Steakhouse, a destination in of itself. If you want a steakhouse, if you are nearby, either brand is worthy of consideration. While I like Outback Steakhouse (in general), for some reason, the Torrance location continually fails to meet my expectations for that brand--both in terms of service and food preparation standards. This is why I had been visiting this Black Angus regularly. So .. if you are in the vicinity of Del Amo; if you want to go to a steakhouse -- not just a restaurant that has "a steak" on the menu; where do you go now? My best recommendation is "The San Franciscan". It's about 5 minutes away by car (less than 2 miles) on Sepulveda. It is family owed. The food is good. It shares a similar price point to Black Angus. Perhaps the franchisee of this Black Angus can find a location for a new store in the near future. They were a good operator; the management and staff of this store was consistently good.

Came here to say thinking it was their last day...yes, this Torrance location will finally close on June 20, 2025. Sad because this place has been our go to place for bogo burgers or steak deals or just our place when cooking is not an option for the day. Food is decent and service is ok, depends on how busy they are. Parking is good and vibe can be moderate to loud. I hope they will have a place soon...although I asked the server yesterday. Will go one more time before it closes! Thanks!

I was in the mood for a steak on 04/02/25 and remembered that Black Angus Steakhouse was celebrating their 61st year in business and were celebrating this occasion at all their restaurants from 04/01/25 to 04/07/25. So when I accessed BA's app on 04/02/25 their celebratory special for Prime Club Reward Members was a $20.00 12 ounce Ribeye Meal- Regular price for this meal is $33.99 (remember it's FREE to register to be a member) and as of now- it's FREE delivery if you need it via the app- besides a small handling fee of approximately $1.99- not including sales tax and optional tip for the delivery driver. After placing the order online within minutes I called the restaurant and talked to Vunera- to express some special instructions for my order- Extra Well Done Butterflied Steak, Extra Butter, Extra Sour Cream, Extra Chives and lastly Extra Thousand Island Dressing. Needless to say- when I opened the delivery bag and inspected its contents- All was there. The meal was cooked as requested and Yes- it was extremely enjoyable. Even though I didn't dine-in this day- I know for a fact that the dine-in ambiance is great as well. Again my compliments to Vunera, Tyler and most importantly- Juan their GM. I look forward to their 75th Celebration in 2039- when I'll be 80.

One of my favorite places and location to visit when wanting a nice steak! Its also nice when they offer a nice promotional incentive to visit the restaurant. We came in on Monday, July 7th around 8pm for dinner and I ordered the 12 ounce Rib-eye with a Caesar Salad and Baked Potato. The steak was very good, medium rare just the way I like it. The salad and baked potato was nice as well. Our server was Andrea O and she was nice, professional and made sure we were taking care of for the entire evening. It was a little busy that night which is good and had a nice and relaxing time at the restaurant. Sorry to hear the location is moving but excited where they are going.

Haven't been to a black angus in ages and thanks to Groupon I'm back :). The restaurant is right across the mall so there's a ginormous parking lot and the restaurant itself is huge as well. Came here on a Friday night and got seated right away. We ordered the campfire feast for two $69 and got this on Groupon for $45 :) we ordered wagon wheel sampler (+$5), 2 NY strip, 2 steak soup, loaded baked potato, au gratin potatoes, and sky-high mud pie for dessert. The complementary bread was not bad. The steak soup reminded us of the can soup but not bad. Wagon wheel: the potato skin was a bit tough and so was the fried zucchini. Shrimp cocktail was good and the chipotle buffalo chicken tender was by far the best in the mix. Steak was sord of tender but a bit dry and the mud pie was ok. Not a big coffee flavor ice cream fan. Overall: ok food but for $45 (+$5 for the wheel sampler which I regret as it was way way way too much food ) can't complaint at all. I actually came here to prove a point as we had lunch at shack shake that ended up costing me $65 (see my review) and I wanted to show my wife we could of had all this instead. Jorge our server was really pleasant. He had a really friendly and welcoming vibe. We were pleasantly surprised to have a server like him for the night. That was a sweet bonus :) 3 star for the food, 4 star for the value and 5 star for the service = 4 star review

My address appeared under the vendor name, so I had to edit it, but this is how the receipts appear for BOGOFREE orders.
    Monica L.

Black Angus is bait-and-switching UberEats customers. They're offering multiple BOGOFREE entrees. When you order, it automatically adds 2 of the item. You just have to choose your sides. I checked out, with the system showing | saved $29.99, which I should, for (2) $29.99 steak and shrimp dinners. When my order arrived, the driver handed me the bag and it was light. I opened the bag while the driver was at my door and confirmed that there was only one entree and salad, not two, as ordered. What's worse is their receipt shows (1) entree, instead of the (2). Absolutely despicable. This was my first and last time ordering from Black Angus. Posting a screenshot of what the receipts look like when you check out and pay. I am due a refund and UberEats refuses because they claim I didn't add (2) items to my cart when the system automatically adds (2) entrees for the price of one. Surprising Update: After leaving this review, I noticed another review stating June 1, 2025 is the final date of operation for this location. That explains the bait-and-switch tactic that UberEats refused to acknowledge. Fool me once, shame on you. Black Angus will never be afforded the opportunity to fool me again. Goodbye!

Our waitress was so nice and attentive. We waited about 15 minutes although there were lots of tables available. We ordered the dinner for one Option which was 40 bucks and included an appetizer, entree, two sides and desert. My dad ordered a steak salad four drinks for a total of around 130. Not bad. The complimentary bread is delicious. We even ordered the desert to go since we were pretty full. Parking is available in adjacent to the restaurant. They do have a happy hour during the week. They played music and was a family dinner vibe. They did have a small bar that had TV's.

    Prime Rib (medium rare)

TLDR: If you like your steaks cooked any way but medium rare, then this might be the spot for you! The staff are friendly, but their cooks unfortunately struggle with medium rare. - - - - - - This was my first time ever at a Black Angus Steakhouse, and I found the staff and service to be extremely welcoming. Parking was easy in this big lot, and I was thankful for how plentiful their complimentary bread was. My friend and I ordered their Campfire Feast Dinner for Two with Crispy Hot Honey Brussel Sprouts followed by Ribeye and Filet Mignon - both medium rare. The brussel sprouts were fairly sweet, but the dash of feta was nice. Overall, the flavors were all pretty strong, and it felt like a competition to see which would win. The ribeye tasted great - perhaps because it was thin. Both the ribeye and filet mignon, however, came out overcooked. After chewing became a chore, I caught the attention of the server who agreed that it was between medium and medium well. Fortunately, he was able to replace it with a Prime Rib, but even this one disappointed, being well overcooked once again. The garden salad side with both Caesar and ranch dressing were good, though a tad heavy on the dressing side. The side of the classic baked potato was okay, but there weren't enough condiments to really enjoy it. Overall, you had to hope that the steak sauce could substitute or endure bites of plain potato. Maybe they were busy that night, since it took ~30 minutes for our order, but they did not have a full house. To not be able to make a medium rare steak for a steakhouse to me is, unfortunately, a red flag, and I don't see myself returning.

Our service was amazing. My husband and I ordered the campfire feast and she was on it for everything. When our food came out, it felt like the food standards have lowered. I remember getting my steak with char - this time it looked sad. Overall the experience was good. The booths are my favorite- it keeps the kiddos from running around and I love the high backs that makes it more private and doesn't allow my 3 year old to interrupt dinners. They have happy hour until 6 which is awesome! And you don't have to sit at the bar to get HH pricing. The location is comfortable and feels like it did years ago.

This place has always been a go to location for me and my family. Not only do they have lots of parking and seating but they have decent priced options! Me and family always share the Campfire Feast for 2 which comes out to $70 and comes with (1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 4 sides and 1 dessert) a pretty good option especially for some good food. I have never really had a bad experience here especially with the service or staff. They have a bar area that is fairly big, tons of servers walking around and playing live sports games. Definitely a recommendation to try out! IG: Lovingyourtaste

I was apart of a large party reservation (16) and Kamea and Tyler sprung in action. There was never a moment of us needing anything because they were on it. They made sure we had everything we needed and they did it with smiles. I appreciate their hospitality and look forward to our next visit. Also, shoutout to Havanna at the bar former great service as we waited for our table. The Strawberry Lemon Drop recommended was awesome!

Our complimentary birthday cookie topped with vanilla ice cream and served with a smile and a song.

We came here to celebrate my birthday and at the same time to say goodbye to a very familiar hangout on its last day. Kate was our server who was very attentive to ensure our celebration was really special. We thought we were saying goodbye forever to this fabulous establishment, but we're happy to hear that they are just moving since the land where it stands had been sold and the owners will be developing it for other purposes. The food was great and the prices were very affordable and not extravagant like some of the restaurants that hiked up their prices in order to make up for lost revenue during Covid. We were seated at our table and it felt like we had our own semi-private room. The staff were very welcoming, very friendly and accommodating to all the customers. Kudos to Kate who managed so many tables equally efficient and fast, yet allowing the diners to enjoy themselves and the excellent food. We're looking forward to seeing all the staff once they have relocated the steakhouse.

I always order the prime rib medium rare with the soup and French fries. The prime rib is consistently delicious, flavorful, and tender, with a rich beefy flavor that really hits the spot. It's cooked just the way I like it, and every visit reminds me why I've been coming back for so many years. The portions are generous, and the meal is satisfying from start to finish. One of the things I appreciate most about this restaurant is its classic atmosphere. The interior feels like a step back in time, with an old-school charm that is becoming harder to find these days. It has the feel of a traditional steakhouse from the 1960s, and the nostalgic vibe adds a lot to the overall dining experience. It's the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy a good meal, and appreciate a piece of local history. The positives of this dish are that it was prepared well. Both the fish and chips tasted good. The presentation was also nice; which leads to the coleslaw: The coleslaw tasted good, too; but I was surprised the serving was so spare. It's almost as if it was served just to optically balance the presentation in the basket. (See photo shared,) And while the price was not unreasonable, feel it's creeping towards expensive (relative to serving size). I'll attribute this to rising input costs. Staffing might be an issue during the lunchtime service. Service was okay, but they seemed to be understaffed. It's possible that most of their business is done after 5pm.

I give credit and honor to whomever it is due, and I am happy to say that Joshua and Catie are more than AMAZING !!!

She's 2 now, and we first brought her here when she just got cleared for her last shot to be outside around 4 months of age. We got attached because we couldn't leave her when she was younger and this place let us enjoy our time with her while we also enjoyed a good time ourselves too. It was going great until the last two visits including today. This is a bit more pricier than regular comfort food so we also expect better food, better service and ambience. We also don't visit this place all the time since we usually just visit when we feel like celebrating something special or want to spoil our dog with the beef and brown rice meal so once maybe every 2 months or so. Every time we went, for some reason, my luck--I would always have something go wrong with my entree. One visit I had ordered my favorite Chili Ahi Crunch, only to be served Ahi. Chili crunch was out, but they didn't say anything until I asked if they had forgotten the chili crunch when I already received my plate. That is only when they informed me that the chili crunch was out. Another visit, after a long hell-ish 14hr shift, I ordered another Chili Ahi Crunch hoping to get it this time. 10 mins past our appetizers are in, 20 mins my husband's entree and my dog's entree, 25 mins, 30 mins, we asked for a follow-up, 40 minutes later our waitress comes back and tells me they're out of it and if I would like another entree, and if a free soup would be okay. My night was ruined, my hunger passed--I didn't order anything else and asked for a bill. I got full munching on my husband's entree's fries forever waiting, looking forward to my Chili Ahi Crunch that never came. We got a free appetizer card as an apology. Fast forward to today. I got a steak this time since I'm still heartbroken with my Ahi crunch and feared that a similar outcome would happen. Busy day again; we waited for a while. They served us bread for taking a lot longer than usual. Our food comes, dog's food is great; medium came out great, husband's food burger medium rare is great. I asked for a medium rare as well for my steak, but I got a medium well. I sigh again. 3rd try's the charm, but my luck is just not it here. We keep coming back because my dog and my husband loves it, but I somehow get the short end of the stick every time I come here. We couldn't use the free appetizer card either because it expired within 30 days from last time. They both usually get burgers--maybe I should just stick to burgers next time but really? My husband's $19 medium rare burger came out so much better than the $37 steak! My husband keeps asking me why I say okay to coming back again even after all that. I tell him my dog likes it and this time it might change. I tell him that all the time. I'm losing faith; I don't think we're coming back any time soon.

The Slip Bar is one of my favorite spots, and a big reason why is the atmosphere. Anissa, my…read morefavorite bartender, goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcome. You can tell she genuinely cares about the people who walk through the door, and it makes such a difference. I also love their daily specials -- there's always something fun to look forward to, and it keeps things fresh. The camaraderie here is unmatched. It's the kind of place where you can relax, have a good time, and feel like part of a community. Highly recommend if you're looking for a laid-back spot with great energy and even better people.

I ordered the pastrami on rye (basically a Reuben) which was good. I wish it had more meat and it was half sliced, half chopped. Theirs seems to be all chopped up and crisped, which gives it a nice texture and almost bacon-y vibe. Messy but good. I had a side salad which was also good. Overall our meal was great and there were TVs visible from anywhere you sat, which is perfect for a sports bar. My big gripe is being charged $1 for pickles to go with a sandwich. Maybe you get more if they put them directly on the sandwich, but they forgot mine so the pickles came in a ramekin. 6 pickle slices for $1.
