This place is AWESOME!! Such cute decor, great music (but not too loud) & great service by Maria! Let me tell you about the food!!!! Mom had the Volcano (subbed a sweet cream waffle for the pancakes). It came with eggs, link sausage (best we've ever had) & bacon (tastes like it just came off the smoker!). I had the Bread Pudding French Toast...with bananas & pecan praline drizzle and fresh fruit on the side. Pull up a chair & prepare for the BEST thing you've ever tasted!! The entire experience was above the 5 stars we could give it!!!

This was an awesome breakfast establishment ans had quality service and great food. The attitude in the restaurant was welcomed and service was fast, ambiance not much we i was there at lunch. Probably the loudest and busiest timeframe. Ill definitely be visiting again.

Steak and egg breakfast with Water Buffalo meat. The steak had such a nasty flavor the cooks tried to cover it up with garlic. That did not works the steak tastes disgusting!

I started outside. I enjoyed the design of this place! It definitely has its own thing going and makes you feel like you are in a diner in the mountains. Lots of real wood logs around the trim and furniture. It was very simple and made you feel like you were at your grandparents house eating breakfast. I got the Creamy Vanilla Iced Cold Brew and it was average. It got the job done, but didn't blow my socks off. I didn't expect them to specialize in coffee anyways so I'm not upset. Lastly, the food was great! I ordered Joe's Hobo Omelette & I was pleasantly surprised by the portions! They were massive! Shoutout to my server, Brianna! She was on top of it and very friendly. I'll definitely be back!

We had a delightful dinner tonight at the Black Bear Diner. There's a Big welcome Bear for photo ops, a souvenir store for bear claw house shoes, paw gloves, stuffed animals, t-shirts and more. We were seated promptly; there were 5 of us, Makenzie was great, very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean, with an outdoor camp feel. Their menus are on newspaper which is cute. We ordered the turkey club, 2 cheese burgers, chicken & waffles and a breakfast special with sweet cream pancakes. Everything was fresh and delicious.

I was so happy when black bear opened because we had them back home and really missed them. The food is the way we remember, generous portions and really hit the spot. Fast service, and friendly service. This is 40 minutes from my house and very much worth the drive. Love the atmosphere, the woodsy vibe is one of my favs.

Great service and a surprisingly great meal. It reminds me of a better version of IHOP. Not sure I would come here often, but it would definitely be a place to bring out of town guests, as the menu is large enough to accommodate all tastes and preferences.

Had a great lunch here at the Black Bear Diner. The atmosphere is like a cleaner greasy spoon diner. The waitstaff are super friendly and easy to work with. For lunch expect a little waiting time before seating, but then again it's the luck of the draw. The lunch we had was great! And the portions are plenty. I ordered the chicken nest, which is new in the menu. Which is chicken breast in Hollandaise sauce, and onion straws which was excellent. Came with good broccoli and what tasted like real mashed potatoes and white gravy. My wife ordered the "bear paws" which looked like a chicken fried steak, with the same sides I had. Both were very delicious. Like I said the server was attentive and quick to refill our drinks and get our bill ready. Overall a great experience for locals and visitors alike, highly recommend!

Very cool decor, like a lodge, comfortable seating. Interesting and variety on the menu for all different tastes. It is a diner, not a 5-star Michelin restaurant. It does what it does very well though. Friendly attentive staff. Great location easy parking. Like the Terminator "I'll be baaack!l lol!

Went at 130 on a Saturday and wait was 10 minutes despite a packed parking lot and restaurant. Staff & service were friendly. Large menu - breakfast, lunch & dinner options. I like they have lighter options too. There is also a dessert counter at the front with some pies, bread pudding & homemade bear claws. My Mom enjoyed her chicken pot pie and broccoli. I enjoyed my chicken avocado club. No mayo, got ranch on the side which was good. The chicken had great flavor but was a tad salty for my preference and the fries were under seasoned which is okay bc you can always add more (and it balanced with the salty chicken well). We both brought half home. They give you your check to pay at the pie counter so you can grab one to take home if you'd like.

We visited Black Bear Diner this Saturday morning around 9 AM for an early breakfast with our little family which included our 5-year-old who had just finished swim class. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Service: From the moment we stepped out of the car, the experience was seamless. We were greeted and seated within 10 minutes, which was impressive given how busy the diner already was with the early morning crowd, including plenty of local seniors and regulars. The staff, from the host to our server, were warm, friendly, and attentive. Our waiter was especially kind, offering us a to-go coffee and a lemonade refill for our little one before we even asked. It's the kind of genuine service that sticks with you. Ambiance: The diner has a charming, old-school feel that really adds to its appeal. It's clean, cozy, and has that classic diner vibe that feels like stepping into a small-town gathering place. Families, friends, and neighbors filled the room, catching up over breakfast which gave the whole place a welcoming, community-oriented energy. You can tell this is a local favorite. Food & Value: We ordered two hearty adult breakfasts with coffee, and a kids' lunch with lemonade. The total, including a tip, came to about $55 a great deal, especially compared to our usual $100+ bill when dining out, yes even for a breakfast/brunch place. The food arrived quickly, within 20 minutes, which was a lifesaver with a hungry child in tow. Everything was served hot and tasted delicious. You could tell the kitchen runs efficiently even during the morning rush. Overall: Black Bear Diner impressed us with its warm hospitality, nostalgic ambiance, and great value. It's a rare gem where you feel taken care of and leave full and happy without breaking the bank. We'll definitely be coming back for another family breakfast soon. Highly recommend for families, early risers, and anyone who appreciates a good meal served with a smile.

I was leaving waffle house due to the wait, and when I "mapsed" this place out and pulled up, there is 879 cars in the lot. But....I end up getting a front parking spot and NO WAIT. WE WERE seated in 2min, no wait. Our waitress Delilah was amazing and helpful, I think LeAnn, laid out floor Matt's for my baby big back cause she was definitely going to make a mess. And Favi was a delight as well. The food came out fast and hot. could've used a lil salt on thr potatoes and gravy. but other than that it was great. The team bought out the Bear , and it was our first time. My daughter was hungry so she didn't acknowledge him . The place is huge. clean, and th4 customer service was better than chicFiLa. Being a single mom, I always pay attention to my service, my needs, and my surroundings. This place was amazing. we'll be back Thanks guys .

They had a few rooms you could reserve for a private party. They offer a brunch menu until 3pm but you can also order off their dinner menu if you so choose. Since this was our first visit we had a difficult time deciding what to have. Our waiter was very accommodating & didn't make any of us feel rushed. For our extremely picky eater the kitchen made adjustments to make sure he had an enjoyable meal. After we made our selections, I feel like our food arrived in a very timely fashion & everyone was very pleased with their selections. Their mustard seed ketchup was interesting to see but very tasty. Even our picky eater thought it was good not that he strayed from the regular ketchup! The only thing we didn't try was their whisky cake because we were too full from our meals. My wife thinks this means we should go back just for appetizers & dessert. Which of course we will plan on soon. All in all it more than deserves 5 stars. And I wish we had taken photos but we were enjoying being with the kids too much to bring our phones out. Definitely put this location on your radar, I don't think you'll be disappointed at all!

Shut up and take my money…read more Impeccable service. Staff was super helpful, over the phone answering queries about wait time and in person. The servers are very knowledgable about the food and drinks and were able to break down the mixology (my husband found a new favorite whiskey). As always, hubby asked for the dairy-based condiments to be left off his dishes, and although he has more of an intolerance than an actual allergy, the server (without being asked) consulted the chef and was able to list every dairy ingredient in every dish, down to the milk powder in the brioche. (You'd be surprised how often the staff just shrugs and has no idea what's in their own food.) I believe no matter what you order, it will be one of the finest examples of that menu item you will ever taste. We had the crab cake appetizer, prime rib and gouda stack, french onion burger, chips, fries, whiskey cake, and cocktails. My husband's old fashioned was the best old fashioned he had ever tasted. He ordered a second. The food was sublime, each menu item was either delicious or outstanding. Whiskey cake is the only item on their dessert menu because it is the only dessert you will need. It is their version of a sticky toffee pudding. It's huge. We were there for a birthday, so we were given the whiskey cake for free. I'd say the margarita was just a margarita, and the water in the fancy jug was definitely gross tap water, but every other food and drink item was perfection. The restaurant is appealing and clean inside. I am glad we were seated in one of the side porch areas where there is sunlight and fewer folks. The interior is quite dark and loud, but nothing outrageous. It's just that style of restaurant. Happy hour is weekdays 3-6, with a small selection of popular drinks for $7.

My top two favorite is the Thai coconut chicken bowl and spicy Korean bowl. The food just tastes so fresh. I do get tired of eating rice sometimes. It's nice that they have different bases to add instead, such as sweet potatoes, roasted veggies, cauliflower rice, etc. I also like to add their fresh juices with my meal. I'll admit that I don't eat enough greens, so I opted for the power green to get my fix of kale, cucumber, and celery. If you're an açaí bowl person, I would definitely get this if you're not super hungry. They do have a drive by area for pick-up orders only. Now for the food, everything was portioned greatly, more on the heavier side, which you will not hear me complain about because the prices are higher.
