We came here for breakfast on a weekday morning and it was steady but not overly busy. We were seated quickly and our food came out fast too. Our server was excellent, very friendly and attentive. Portions are big, even for the kids meals. I ordered the classic French toast and would say to skip that. It was soggy and mostly tasted like plain eggs. The texture and taste just wasn't it. I ended up sharing my husband's pancakes instead and those were really good. I tried the hash browns that came with my husband's meal and the hash browns tasted weird too so I'd also recommend skipping that. The menu is pretty big with lots of options and prices are standard. Overall I'd be open to coming back and trying other dishes next time.

Food was okay overall. I would rate it a 3.5. I didn't like that the food wasn't brought out at the same time for everyone at the table. I had to wait while others were already eating. I noticed the same issue at other tables as well. I also understand. The French toast was okay... crusted on one side and only lightly browned. I prefer my eggs with the cheese fully melted. The chicken sausage had great flavor but was very chewy. The biscuits were really big, heavy and tasty... I could barely finish half of one, and they give two per order. The ambience was clean and welcoming. The server was okay... she forgot my orange juice however when I politely reminded her, she remembered right away. I needed something to wash the biscuit down. It was a little busy at the time so I understand. Overall, it was a good experience. I would recommend it for a quick breakfast or brunch.

The wait was 30-45 minutes but the bar is available for immediate seating - it was just two of us so the bar was great! We had the most amazing waitress Brenda - she was spunky, friendly and extremely attentive! Our food was great, awesome flavor and great portion size! It was a great family atmosphere.

I love this place!!! It's an authentic west coast cabin al American restaurant feels like we are in big bear CA or northern CA. Service is always exceptional my family loves coming to have breakfast lunch here anytime. The food is delicious I had chicken fried steak full of flavor comes with two huge biscuits they don't disappoint. My husband had their breakfast burrito needless to say it was completely gone coffee is always fresh as the orange juice. They also serve mimosas bloody Mary's which I must say hit the spot. Family friendly atmosphere's we love coming here. The kids enjoy all the decor

My bf and I love to go out to eat and he suggested black bear diner and I'm in love! Carrisa was our waitress and she was the sweetest and so attentive! I love the ambience and the portions were fabulous and worth every penny!!! Such a cute little gem in Katy, calm and homely environment! We will be back

I moved to Katy about 2 1/2 years ago and this place has been on my to try list since then. On a random weekend, a friend of mine came to visit and we brought her and her daughter here and the food was so freaking good. I love their blackberry? Some kind of berry lemonade. I know I'm not saying the name right.. regardless it's freaking delicious. I love teddy bears, and this place is so campy and full of bears and has so many adorable gift shop items to buy like blankets and house shoes and sweaters and hoodies. There's also a giant dessert/ pie area. I'm not entirely sure if they make them in house but they look absolutely scrumptious. And can't wait to try them. The staff here is so kind and so engaging and so wonderful. My mom got to try this place with me as she brought me a couple days after I had surgery. I deserve to treat myself and also wanted some comfort food. The biscuits here are as big as your face and taste so good. Slather on a bunch of butter and grape jelly and you are set ! I've have yet to try any of the dinner items here but I do know they're open pretty late, which is awesome because I work late. I'm hoping to try them very soon for dinner, but will 100% be a return customer!

Great service, very attentive wait staff. Nice gift shop, great ambiance for kids. Food was ok. Food was fast and hot but the hash-browns just weren't for me.

I love this diner. The staff is pleasant, the atmosphere is busy and comfortable. Great for a loner breakfast, catching up with friends, or with the family. The wait time can be lengthy during peak hours though so be mindful. Their servings are very large so come in with an appetite, I always have leftovers. I've not had one meal that I didn't absolutely love, everything is delicious!

Let me start by saying I've been here multiple, multiple times & I've never had any food items that weren't good. I always get breakfast (even if it's lunch time) so I don't know much about the lunch items. Not only is the food outstanding with a creative twist, it's consistent. Over the years, the place has expanded several times so now there is a decent amount of dine-in seating in addition to the outdoor seating. The place still stays packed but with their wait list in advance/text notification system & efficiency in seating customers, if there is a wait things move along smoothly. Additionally, anyone who is waiting knows it's worth the wait!! The service staff are friendly. The atmosphere is homey & they decorate for the various holidays & seasons. Owner/chef Lori is always walking around asking guests if everything is ok. On at least 2 occasions she happened to chat with me/my guest about some dietary restrictions & she whipped something up for us to try. My go-to dish is the harvest breakfast where you can pick 4 breakfast items from a list. This is a great way to sample more menu items. Here's my take on some of my favorites: - Sourdough pancakes are thin & really delicious. - Belgium Leige waffle is very sweet with the pearl sugar "nuggets" in them so taste them before you add a lot of syrup. - Scrambled eggs are well seasoned, not bland. - Avocado & tomato or the fresh fruit are nice light touches as one of the side item choices. - Fried chicken tenders are really good. Spice level 3 (medium) is not that spicy. It's flavorful. - Grilled chicken tenders are good. As much as I typically eat grilled or baked chicken, I allow myself to choose fried for these. - Grits are creamy. I get them with no cheese. I'm not a big grits person but I do like these! The menu is very extensive. It includes vegan, vegetarian, keto & gluten free. Is the breakfast a little pricey, the answer is "it's all relative." Sometimes it's just worth paying for a great meal. In case you haven't gotten the message, Harvest Kitchen is a must try. Do yourself a favor & have a visit. I'm betting it will stay on your list as a repeat eating spot!! Tips: - Use the text message wait list & signup before you leave your house. - You can always get 1 pancake on the side for $5. - 15% gratuity is included at checkout, as you pay you'll get options for an additional % or custom % like 0%, 3, 5% or more.

We decided to try this place out for the first time because we were in the area and wanted to dine somewhere with good vegetarian or vegan options. If you're dining in, check in with the host/hostess and they will tell you where you will be seated. You will be given a "ticket" to take to the counter to place your order. One side order of potatoes was enough for two. They were seasoned and crunchy on the outside while being soft on the inside. Interior is a doughnut shaped setting area around the coffee/juicebar/register. The area behind the bar is almost semi private in atmosphere for those who prefer it. They serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday until 330. The brunch menu is huge. It is not a super large menu, which I feel very endearing. We decided to try the bagel and lox with cream cheese, the Buzz burger with fries, and their homemade chips. They start off by bringing you this beautiful craft of bottled water. That to me was an amazing bonus. We also ordered two sodas which came in a can. I sort of wish it was a more of a fountain drink than one can of soda for the price. *Now service was super slow. However, the waitress did come and tell us that they are running a little behind and she apologized for it and she was super sweet, so that made up for the weight. How do I known how long it was going to take, I don't know if I would've stayed, but in the end, the food was amazing. The burger was cooked to perfection. My boyfriend is a hamburger snob and he kept saying how good it was how fresh it was and how perfectly cooked it was. They serve you shoestring fries that feel like they're double fried and they were phenomenal. My bagel was toasted perfectly and had a very good amount of cream cheese and lox. As a Jewish girl living in the area that I do, it's very hard to find good bagels with lox and cream cheese. I will most definitely be back for this sooner than later. The homemade chips took quite a while to come out, and at one point I was ready to say we don't need it, but these potato chips beat Buccees beaver chips, 100%. They were super fresh and very crunchy and tasted amazing. I will definitely recommend those to anybody that orders some. My boyfriend then ordered a tropical sunrise smoothie and it was so tasty and tasted like a strawberry banana smoothie. Now once again that did take a long time to come out and at one point, we were wishing we had not ordered it but once we did get it, it was really good and I highly recommend it. The restaurant is not very large and it's the perfect brunch spot for anybody looking for a smaller Cafe with very good choices.

Copenhagen is no exception. This is a family-owned, magical little spot. I've been here with neighbors, relatives, and my bestie. They regularly offer special tasting menus for special occasions The interior does not at all match its exterior surroundings.
