The inside is clean and the interior is small. I was greeted by a kind employee and was patient when I went to order. I got a double pear burger, fries and the BCB burger. Giant burgers, double patties. I paid around 14 dollars for each burger and the fries were 5 dollars. It seemed expensive at first, but you definitely get what you're paying for. The serving size is HUGE and the quality is amazing. So far they're my favorite burger place in St Pete. I'm glad I was able to find this spot. If you do come, come hungry because not only is it good but the portions are amazing

Basic Menu, which I love - Not an extensive amount of options, but the options they do have are great! The burgers are actually really good! Not too greasy and love that they source the ingredients locally (in florida). Inside dining area pretty small - service was okay, no over the top customer service or anything but I came for a decent burger to go, no the service. All in all, good experience.

Black Cattle Burger is a very good smash burger joint in downtown St Pete; a few steps above your typical Steak n' Shake. I'm not a fan of no drink/fries combo but the delicious burger made up for that small nuance. I ordered the Black Pearl and although it was cheesy, saucy and had perfectly griddled onions, the aioli didn't taste much of truffle. I will frequent this place regularly for a delicious, quick and easy smash burger and after I explore the menu a little more, I hope I'll find something that will bring my review to a 5 star.

I visited late Saturday night after a gig nearby, they weren't very busy when I walked in but I was craving a burger. I ordered the black pearl which was a double patty burger with cheese, mushrooms, pickles & truffle aioli. The burger was really "wet" and greasy but it was delicious. The staff were really nice and the burger came out quick!

Had a chance to check out Black Cattle Burger for lunch. Service was very helpful with questions and meal was prepared wry quickly. Went with a bacon cheeseburger combo with fries and qas what you expect for non-fast food prices. Great visit and when back in the area will stop by.

I was craving a burger so we decided to try Black Cattle Burger. I was very pleased with the ambiance, the melty cheese look at the cashier, letting us know that this is indeed a burger joint. Unfortunately, they don't have shakes which is odd because looking around the restaurant we clearly saw wording "Burgers, Fries, Shakes". Nonetheless, we were explained that they will eventually have shakes but at the moment they don't have a place to set it. I ordered the BCB burger which is exactly what I was looking for, it was delicious and I highly recommend. I like how they state what meat is used in their burger patties - ground chuck, brisket and short rib, it gives me a sense of certainty and I'm not wondering what this mystery meat could be. Overall, it was great experience and I definitely see why this is a late night spot after drinking.

Good service, he brought the food outside too us. The burger was a genuine smash patty and I really liked that. Kinda had a fast food feel but definitely better quantity. My only complaint would be for bottled ketchup, I personally could use so many of those little packets and it feels waste full so I just often go without.

Hanging out with a friend. Enjoying great burgers and fries.

Amazing burgers, & outstanding french fries. Not quite sure why but I love the cut of their fries.

I had seen advertisements for this place on Instagram a few times, and was just waiting for when I was in the area. Let's just say I was not disappointed, burger was delicious and fries with the fry sauce was spectacular. Didn't eat at restaurant as I took it to go but I was a pretty small but nice. Wasn't too busy, cashier was just ok not too friendly but not rude or anything. Kind of expensive but everything is nowadays and I'd rather have something fresh over McDonalds, but all in all will be back when I get the chance again.

    Burgers anyone???

Family food Adventure, Parents only edition. Kid's did not make this trip Burgers were delicious. A bit pricey with add-ons, but if you take them the way they come they are tasty!!! The Wife and I ate here while staying overnight at the beach for my birthday. The Food: We got a burger each, 2 sodas and a fry for about 36$, not sure if I would bring the whole Fam as the cost for all of us would be close to 100$ and for the amount of food it's not really the best value for dollar for a family of 5 in comparison to other places we could go for that amount of spend. The burgers were tasty: I got the black pearl and it was an adventure to my taste buds at first. After a few bites I was digging it. The Wife had the Hamburguesa: she was enjoying it so much she was not even talking, lol, just eating. The fries we shared, nice size for 2 with the burgers. The fries were fresh cooked and a nice pairing to the burger in size comparison for the meal, not thin and crispy with a flat burger, like other places. Definitely worth the add on!!! We enjoyed these burgers and Black Cattle Company has not become one of our top smash burger places to go to when in the area!!! BURGER ON EVERYONE, YUM!!!

This place continues to raise their prices and charges an arm and a leg for a burger. Absolute joke of a burger for the price.

I got the crispy duck wings (and do not know why I didn't take a picture ) but they were very crispy and very good. They came with 2 sauces, which I did not try because they said they were a bit spicy and I don't like spicy, but they were plenty good on their own. I ordered the One Bad Pig with a side of sweet potato fries and of course had to get an extra side of tator tots because I love them. The burger was very good and juice, hard to eat because it's so big, but I managed to do it. The tots were crispy just like I like them and the fries were your typical sweet potato fries but very good. The service was attentive and good and it seemed to be a local crowd and was a nice vibe. It is off the beaten path so not too touristy but the locals know about it so it gets crowded. I highly recommend this place for a burger if you are wanting one!!

**** Review 170 ****…read more This place has become a regular for me and it's all because of the wings. They are THE BEST wings in St. Pete hands down! Crispy, juicy, tender, saucy deliciousness. If you just want some of the best wings you've ever had then you need to stop by. But, wings is just one of the items that are great. Their burgers are second to none! So many options, with so many toppings. Burgers are HUGE, juicy, well seasoned. Everything from tenders to peanut butter on a burger....you have to try it! Hot dogs are good too, they're fried so you get a nice crisp snap with every bite. Their sides are always delicious and great beer selection. And everything is reasonably priced for being in St Pete. This place is narrow, but long with seating in the back for larger parties, so it can get crowded. Staff is always really nice and ready to give you recommendations. If you're looking for a great night of wings, burgers and beers with your friends then this is your place.

This time (Apr 2026) we started with a creamily delicious ice-cold nitro beer. It was Milk Bone stout, locally crafted, toffee-flavored and lightly sweet from lactose. Pinellas Ale Works says it's almost a cafe con leche :-). It looks like they serve a larger pour of nitro-Guinness, if you like. Y'know, small nitro bubbles (around 25% to 30% CO2) create a smooth mouth-feel and, to me, seem much easier to imbibe than most beers' carbonation (100% CO2). Many places don't put in the extra equipment to serve nitro beers, so Thank You to The Burg! Their eat-in special is different every weekday. On this Wednesday (Apr 2026), it was $2 off their Cuban. Thin tender flavorful ham, pork, and salami, lightly bite-y Swiss cheese, and bright tart pickles, with plain yellow mustard & mayo. All pressed into hot bread. Perfectly savory and delicious! Except ... It wasnt Cuban bread, or any crusty bread, it was a hoagie roll :-( The bread wasnt even toasted! Hey! Mostly-excellent Burg, This is Tampa Bay, home of Cuban sandwiches! Do it right! Dunno if it was just an off-day bread-wise? My nearly-perfect Burg, please tweak this one thing. Yet they still earned that 5th star with their freshly hand-made very good lightly-seasoned crispy crispy Burg chips. We live for crunch! And you can upgrade the side to black-beans and rice, so, yeah, on target :-) And they let us go slightly off-menu with a BLT, which on the menu is part of a soup and sandwich combo. Lots of hot thin crispy bacon, sweet fresh tomatoes and lettuce, on lightly toasted bread. Very satisfying. The Burg Bar & Grill is pleasantly relaxed with a nicer-than-divey feel. The staff is friendly, attentive, and quick with that cold cold beer! The food is only a Cuban-roll away from Perfect :-)

We have had the same server each time and he banters well with my family- which makes the experience even better. Now, for the food. I recommend going for happy hour, but we do not always eat that early. Happy hour has great deals on appetizers and drinks. I love their grouper cheek sliders and fish dip. The hot sauce on the table is a datil pepper sauce and so very good. My favorite entrees are the blackened grouper sandwich and the baja-style fish tacos. I really cant wait to try the burger, but I love the other items so much I have a hard time not ordering those each time I go. My husband enjoys oysters and does not trust them at many restaurants. He is willing to pay more for quality, fresh oysters. Cheeky's is the place to go for oysters. He ordered the "best" variety for raw and fell in love with them. He also really likes the lightly breaded and fried oysters. They are not greasy and perfectly cooked every time. Drinks are fantastic. I got a special on Kentucky Derby day, a mint julep and it was so tasty. I usually enjoy their mixed drinks and my husband mixes it up between beer and mixed drinks. Recommend all of them. Intrigued by the Salt & Vinegar martini, but have not tried it yet. The restaurant is usually loud, casual, and lively. I feel completely comfortable bringing my grandkids and not worrying about how loud they are. We love the 'old florida' feel and recommend trying this place. We are already regulars.
