This is the special gryphon-phoenix burger with spicy chocolate sauce, plantains, honey, and is crazy good!

This place deserves more notoriety! It has great food, craft beer, and super people. We had a larger group and they quickly set up an area to serve and accommodate our team. We had many of their special creations and we enjoyed every one! Their gryphon-phoenix burger was really unusual. It had plantains, honey, and spicy sauce that has chocolate in it. Sounds crazy but each of us loved that sauce! If you are in E-town, this place is well worth visiting. Try it, you'll like it!

I'm a picky eater so I was definitely a bit cautious with some of the menu items, but this small plate of meatballs and whipped potatoes was out of this world. I was half tempted to order one to go. Also had their version of an orange crush cocktail. That was a let down and for $14 barely filled the wine glass it was served in, but their tap list is impressive. Overall the restaurant is a cozy space, seating was comfortable, and service was quick and friendly!

Came here for a 50th wedding anniversary party, they had the food set up as a buffet there was Alfredo ziti, sloppy joe, mild bbq and Wilbur chocolate wings, salad and tomato soup. Everything was delicious but the choc wings made my brain misfire I did t know what to think about them lol.

The basic spaghetti and meatballs were very good and came with 4 meatballs. The Tour of Italy was good with the highlight being the alfredo sauce. The Tortellini Boscaiola was flavorful. All the entrees came with a large salad and garlic knots.    The wine was interesting. We tried chianti and found it to be too juice forward with a bit of carbonation for some reason.  Overall a good experience.

At first, the restaurant was fairy empty, but filled up as the night went on. The menu is huge and the prices were so reasonable! You definitely are not paying city prices! Our server was very attentive and offered suggestions - some of the women wanted espresso martinis and the server said he was able to make at least 5 different kinds. The vanilla espresso martini was so good! The portions are massive so come hungry! Everyone left with leftovers, which was great because the food was delicious!!!!

I found myself at Stumpy's Hot Dog Shack around 4:30pm on a Friday evening during the town's 2nd…read moreFriday Strawberry Jam celebration. Given the festival atmosphere happening nearby, I expected crowds. Instead, I walked in and had the place entirely to myself. Fantastic! The woman working the counter greeted me right away and had exactly the kind of friendly-but-slightly-snarky personality that I absolutely adore. She made ordering fun without overdoing it, which immediately scored points in my book. After looking over the menu, I kept things relatively simple and ordered a chili cheese dog with onions, no bun, served on a bed of French fries, plus a can of Diet Coke. Total damage: $10.07. When she asked if I wanted the hot dog cut up before everything was assembled together, I enthusiastically accepted. Someone who understands that sometimes food is supposed to be a glorious mess is my kind of person! While waiting for my food, I took a look around. Future visitors should know that indoor seating is extremely limited. There's one high-top table just inside the door and about six barstools along the counter. However, that's not really where this place shines. Outside, there are several picnic tables, plus a beautiful covered side porch with another six to eight tables. If the weather is nice, absolutely plan to eat outside. If the weather isn't cooperating, I'd probably recommend takeout. A few minutes later, my masterpiece was ready. I grabbed my food and drink and headed straight for the covered porch. It was approximately 92 degrees outside with a heat advisory in effect, which most reasonable people would consider a terrible time for an outdoor picnic. I am apparently not most reasonable people. The meal was exactly what I hoped it would be. The chili deserves special recognition because it was actual chili, not the mysterious meat sauce that sometimes masquerades as chili on hot dogs. This stuff had real texture, generous chunks of ground meat, and just enough spice to keep things interesting without setting your face on fire. The diced onions were plentiful, the cheese was perfectly melted, and everything was assembled exactly the way I requested. It was messy. It was delicious. It was absolutely worth eating with a fork. For my first visit, this was a solid win. The food was good, the staff were great, the prices were reasonable and the porch made for a perfect place to sit and enjoy a summer evening. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu! Stumpy's offers several specialty dogs that caught my attention, but I wasn't quite brave enough to try their Strawberry Dog during Strawberry Jam. Maybe next year. Maybe.

We stopped in after checking out the shopping outlets in the area. We did make reservations prior to dining to make sure we had a table. Parking is a bit of a hassle but that's no fault of the restaurant. Fire and grain is located inside the Hershey lodge. Mostly all parking spots are taken up by the hotel guests so it's a bit tricky to find open parking. We had a party of 4 dining that night. Very friendly staff , especially when we had questions about the menu. We chose to start off with the burrata appetizer. We thought it would be a nice size to split with 4 but it turned out to be quite small. Only 1 slice of bread , small drizzle of balsamic and just 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half and maybe a half handful of arugula. Maybe make this a bit larger of a portion as a starter. For entree I chose the pappardelle bolognese - house made fresh pasta , Italian sausage and short rib ragu with ricotta cheese. Needed a bit more of the sausage and short rib but still very good. My wife had the shrimp Alfredo. Very tasty as well with plenty of shrimp and another delight with the house made pasta which takes it to another level. A surprise was that the tails were already removed from the shrimp to make it easier to enjoy. For dessert we'd share the chocolate peanut buttter mousse cake! So rich but so delicious! Another great treat! Be sure to stop in and check this place out if you're in town visiting Hershey,PA.
