I have been a customer of Black Jack Pizza since it opened, when my aunt used to drive us up there to get their gigantic pizzas for Friday night dinner. Then I found out that they had a location near my home of St. Augustine and Bruton, I would walk up there to get one of their delicious cheese burgers. The customer service has always been on point. They make you feel like family when you walk through the door. If you want a good homemade pizza or burger this is the place to be. You will never go wrong. Thursday night right before close. Call ahead order. Cash only Ordered bacon cheeseburger mustard all the way. Small fry. Cheeseburger Mayo no pickles no tomato small onion ring. I wish I could've liked my meal more. Very mid. Fries were the basic frozen fries. No flavor. Needed salt, but even with the packages provided - the salt just bounced off the fries. There was no bacon on the burger. The burger wasn't seasoned like I would've liked it to be from a black owned business. And no, not necessarily salt.... I remember saying the tomato and onion had more flavor than the patty. I poured some salt on my burger before biting it. Maybe it was an "off" night. The lady at the front is a miserable old lady. One of the worker rung me up for what i thought was a combo meal. Instead it was just the burger. When I asked the old bitch at the front for a refund she told me to never come back. I could've took my money to them white business if I was gone get treated like this. I will never come back. My husband is Dallas (Oak Cliff!) born and raised so he grew up eating Blackjack pizza! It wasn't until the pandemic hit and the rising urgency of supporting small business grew that he actually took me here to try it out. We ordered a large pizza, two cheeseburgers, and two sweet teas. The pizza was hot and fresh, the burgers were great (you could tell the meat was very fresh), and the sweet tea is everything dreams are made of!! Lol!! The first time I went the wait was pretty lengthy, but keep in mind this is a small business that wasn't aware of the large amount of patrons it would get during the pandemic. The bun was toasted and you can actually taste the crunch on the bun which made it taste amazing the onion rings was homemade and you can tell. Then I got the sweet tea to wash it all down (check all your levels lol) it tasted so good and refreshing. We ate our food there I would recommend it if you can so you can really taste the freshness at it's best.
