And I don't know how the error happened since I've had issues with the old app dropping off the 'perks' in the past, but no matter if it was the app or an oversight, how it was handled was rude. The young man cooking the pizzas was obviously feeling overwhelmed when I told him that I also had a cheesy bread. His curt response was "You'll have to take that up with Patrick", as he stormed off. I looked at Patrick and told him it was an app deal for spending over $25. It didn't appear that he said anything to any staff, and then he grabbed some pans and headed to the back never to speak or face me thereafter. I then heard the pizza guy bark at the two other staff about essentially being the only one doing all the work. After a good five minutes or so, one of the staff asked if I was waiting for the cheesy bread, to which I said "Yes". I then heard pizza guy say something about going to have to wait another 7 minutes. After another few minutes pizza guy came over and apologized and blamed it on it being hectic and then offered me a soda, which I declined. Eventually one of the other staff brought me the cheesy bread and offered sauces, which once again I declined since I hang requested any. If the pressures of a pizza shop are so stressful, maybe another job needs to be considered. And Patrick never ever did come back around...not much of a leader, IMO...wonder what he does if someone starts yelling at him. Giving 3 stars because food is still good. We're definitely Blackjack Pizza people now. Their pizza and salads are awesome. We actually just ordered them two days in a row. They have great ranch and blue cheese dressing too. The last time we ordered this is the text I got when I asked them to "leave pizza at the door and text me - baby is sleeping" in the delivery instructions. I deliver for Uber Eats.. Made a few pick-ups from here and it smelled so good, I had to try it. Ordered a Square Pizza w/Pepperoni & Banana Peppers and brought it home. My wife is a picky eater and she literally said it's the absolute "BEST PIZZA" she's ever had! (And we've eaten at A LOT of Pizza joints in Tampa & other cities). We got the Chicken Mediterranean square pizza, which had a great crust. The online menu stated it had black and green olives, but we didn't find a single one! But nevertheless it was a really good pizza. We also got the spicy wings, which had some good heat to them. Even with the $5 discount coupon, it was still a little pricey, coming in around $25. It is pizza week in Tampa and I am hitting as many as possible. Out looking for my favorite pie in this years competition. As I walk in I notice that there is a treadmill oven. At this point I would usually walk out, a guys gotta have some standards. Since it's a competition I opt to stay and give them a fair shot at the title. Visibly the pizza looked like something I would get at the bowling alley or skating rink. The crust was sad, serving only to hold up what was on top. Sub par cheese and a mediocre sauce. Now I remember why I walk out when I don't see a real oven. Worst slice I've had in many years. A lot has to do with how selective I am of where I eat my pie. I ordered a thin crust for delivery because I prefer thin. I immediately sensed a frozen crust. I called to ask and they confirmed it was frozen. There are many good frozen pizzas for $5-7. First time visiting Blackjack Pizza and we have found our new favorite chain! We ordered the deep dish square with pepperoni. Coupon made it only $9 and it took about 20 minutes to prepare. Service was quick and friendly. If you have never had Detroit Style Pizza...this is pretty darn close. The square deep dish is crisp and has real mozzarella cheese that goes to the pan end-to-end. This creates a layer of crisp cheese at the crust! The sauce is not too sweet and the pepperoni creates a spicy layer. We will definitely be back...and often! read more

I have been going to black Jacks for some time now. Great food at a decent price. THe pizza is really top notch and very consistant. I love the pan style crust that surpasses many national brand pizza stores. Sauce is very nice, kind of sweet and the pepperoni is always crispy. I have tried the vanilla ice cream and it was very good, almost tasted like it was blended with cool whip. I did try the wings once and wont do that again as they were too over cooked and had no heat to them. I just wasn't impressed. The store is very clean, the service is nice and you can watch your pizza be made behind the glass if you are "one of those people". Overall a great place to grab a lazy evening meal. We pick blackjacks over all other brands in the area. I do wish they had better coupons for customers or perhaps a rewards program for returning customers. I think this is good pizza but the people who work there are idiots. I placed an order tonight on the phone, I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I got to Blackjack 30 minutes after the call. I paid for my order. Instead of the cashier going to get my order, she went to the next person in line and helped them. They paid and picked up their order and left. I waited for 10 minutes inside the store...suddenly, the cashier asked for my name again...she then pulled my order out, which was there THE WHOLE TIME, and said my order was ready. Now, I'm going home to eat old pizza and wings with my family...and it cost me $42. The food is good (hence the one star)...I have been to blackjack a few times before this...but I will never be going back. If you are going to blackjack, be aware. The large square pizza at Blackjack's is AMAZING. Some of the best pizza I've ever had. For a deep dish it's impressive how crunchy the crust is. The cheese is very good and the sauce is just right. I've also tried their wings which are large and taste great as well. I can't speak to the round pie but everyone should try the square because it surely won't disappoint. I hate to leave a bad review on local business but omg its so bad. I ordered three times in a span of 10 days from this same location and each time separately was uniquely disastrous. I will just use the last order as an example I ordered nearly 40 minutes before posted closing time (I'm less than half mile away)and was charged for the order with a delivery time of 45 min around 10pm. I received the order the following day at 1 PM the pizza had been dropped or laid on its side at all the toppings were in one corner and the ice cream was completely opposite of what I had ordered though it was very cold and frozen and still delicious but the pizza was destroyed. I don't recommend this place at all unless you pick up the food yourself, and as a last resort. Sorry not sorry, But it's pizza and ice cream how complicated could it be to get it 4 blocks STRAIGHT down the same street? read more
